Sonia Lynn (Dygert) Zoeckler

LITTLE FALLS - Sonia Lynn (Dygert) Zoeckler, age 36, of Dockey Rd., Little Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.
She was born on December 25, 1974, in Ilion, the daughter of Alfred and Dianna (Bluett) Dygert, and graduated from Mohawk High School in 1994. Sonia was married to Scott Zoeckler on August 13, 1999, in Niagara Falls, NY. She had been a senior representative at American Lung Association for five years. Sonia loved outdoor activities and hunting with her father. She especially enjoyed taking care of her many cats.
Survivors include her husband, Scott; her daughter, Azeria; her mother, Dianna Gannon and her husband, John, of Herkimer; her father, Alfred Dygert and his wife, Myra, of Town of German Flatts; maternal grandmother, Helen Bluett, of Ilion; paternal grandparents, Edward and Edna Dygert, of Jordanville; her brother , Alfred Dygert, of Little Falls; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter and Kimberly Massocco, of Herkimer, Patrick and Dana Zoeckler, of Georgia, Tricia and Gene Rogers, of Ilion, and Kevin Zoeckler, of Little Falls; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Danford Bluett; great-grandmother, Olive McGrade; and uncle, Doug Dygert.
Funeral Services will be held 4 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Rev. Clint Carter, Pastor of Oneida Lake Congregational Church, officiating. Calling hours are Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., prior to the funeral home service.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Sonia’s daughter, Azeria Zoeckler, c/o Scott Zoeckler, 209 Dockey Rd., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home.
The Zoeckler and Dygert families have entrusted all service arrangements and supervision to Don Applegate, Funeral Director.
Caroline M. (LaValley) Frasier
July 31, 1929 - April 13, 2011
Mohawk: Caroline M. (LaValley) Frasier, 81, of Mohawk, NY, went home peacefully to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2011.
She was born on July 31, 1929 in Nelliston, NY, a daughter of the late Eugene and Teresa (Lasher) LaValley. Caroline was a lifelong area resident and was educated in Fort Plain Schools. On February 25, 1949, she and Leroy were married in Fish House, NY, and enjoyed a loving union of 62 years. She was at one time employed at the Fort Plain School cafeteria, but her greatest accomplishment was keeping her home and raising her family. Caroline was a member of the Little Falls Baptist Church.
Caroline leaves behind her loving husband, Leroy Frasier, and three brothers, Garry, Ronald, and Roger LaValley. A loving mother, she leaves behind sons Brian and wife Charlotte, Blair, and David and his wife Cyndi; and daughters Brenda Dewey and her husband Tom and Beverly Gregorin and her husband Dennis. Caroline was the grandmother of 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter Robin in 1970, her son Jeffery in 1979, and a brother, Junior LaValley.
Funeral arrangements are with the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls. Calling hours will be Friday evening, April 15, from 6-9 pm at the funeral home. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, at the First Baptist Church of Little Falls at 10 am with the Reverends Chris Wintermute and Donald Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Plain Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Caroline’s memory to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
Jean D. (LeBoeuf) Porter

HERKIMER: Jean D.(LeBoeuf) Porter, age 77, a long time Herkimer resident, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at Valley Health Services.
She was born on April 7, 1934 in Schenectady, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Lyman) LeBoeuf. Jean was educated in Schenectady Schools. She was married to Raymond Porter in Schenectady, NY who passed away in 1979.
Jean was a member of the Herkimer VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Polish Community Home of Herkimer.
Jean leaves behind her sons: Raymond Porter, Jr. and wife Debbie, James Porter and Edwin Porter all of Georgia; John Porter of Utica, daughters: Michele M LeBoeuf and husband Robert Spaulding of Arizona, Jean Cooper and husband Gary of Florida, Christine Spaulding and husband Alan of Schenectady, Rae Eileen Porter of Alabama and Jill Porter of Georgia; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Thomas Fellows.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer (866-1011) on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Eugene Kipper officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer.

Antoinette M. (Stagliano) Stasilli
HERKIMER/SARATOGA SPRINGS: Antoinette M. (Stagliano) Stasilli, age 89, a long time Herkimer resident passed away on Palm Sunday, April 17, 2011 at her Saratoga Springs residence with the love and support of her family by her side.
She was born on August 11, 1921, daughter of the late Nicholas and Philomena (Barbuto) Stagliano and was educated in Herkimer schools. She was united in marriage to Nicholas J. Stasilli on October 13, 1945, a blessed union of 61 years until the passing of Mr. Stasilli on April 22, 2006. Antoinette was employed as a manager for Dan Dee Doughnuts of Ilion and Herkimer and also worked for UNIVAC and Derby Sportswear.
Mrs. Stasilli was a dedicated, loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother and always put the needs of her loved ones before those of her own. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, and time with her many cherished friends. She will be dearly missed by her family as she was truly the “Heart of the Family”.
Survivors include her devoted family; her daughters: Laraine Morra of Herkimer, Maria Cortese and husband Dr. Michael Cortese of Saratoga Springs; grandchildren: Brock and wife Sharon, Nicholas, Mary, Jennifer and husband Mike, Joseph and wife Amanda, Michael, and Nico; great grandchildren: Tino, Austin, Ashley, Joshua, Alexis and Michael; uncle: Guiseppe Stagliano and wife Maria of Herkimer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Antoinette was predeceased by an infant son Vincent, son Nicholas; brothers: Joseph Stagliano, Salvatore (Sam) Stagliano, and sisters: Mary Barberio, Lena Sgroi and Pat Madison.
Funeral arrangements are with the Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, NY (866-1011). There are no public calling hours. Her mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph, South Main Street, Herkimer, NY with the Reverend Thomas Lawless, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, NY.

Mary Felice George, 83, of Onondaga Hill died Monday. Born in Syracuse, she lived in the Syracuse area all her life. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a member of its Altar & Rosary Society. She was a volunteer for Our Lady of Lourdes School and church for many years. Survivors: Her husband of 61 years, Joseph P. Thomas W. Harris, 83, of Cleveland, died Saturday at Loretto Heights, Oswego. Born in Syracuse, he lived in the Memphis and Jordan areas before moving to Cleveland six years ago. He retired in 1979 after 33 years as an engineer with the Fisher Body Division of General Motors. He was a member of Altmar American Legion Post 1435, United Auto Workers Local 624 in Syracuse and the Oneida Lake Association. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving from 1942 to 1946. Survivors: His wife of 56 years, the former Betty J. He had coached Connie Mack Baseball in Fulton for 11 years and was a founding member of Gardner's softball team.
