Westley Hoadley
Westley Schilling Hoadley, 60, died Aug. 22 in Las Vegas.
He was born Jan. 17, 1943 in Hartford, Conn., and was a 25-year resident of Pahrump.
He retired from the Laborer's Union Local 872 after 33 years. He loved birds, fishing and his dog Buster.
His wife Cecelia of Pahrump; daughters Jennifer Hoadley of Pahrump, Annie Hill of Clearcreek, Cal., and Hilary Carle of Bristol, Conn.; son Westley Schilling Hoadley, Jr. of Bristol; mother Alice Hoadley and father James Hoadley of Bristol; brother Jamie Hoadley of Bristol; 13 other brothers and sisters he never met; good friend Richard Burkett of Pahrump; and six grandchildren survive him. Patricia Gattis-Bissett
Private family services will be held for Patricia Sarrio Gattis-Bissett, 46, who died Aug. 29 in Rockdale County, Ga.
She was born June 20, 1957. A native of Riverside County, Calif., she was a loving wife, mother and a homemaker.
Her husband Victor of Conyers, Ga.; daughters Nicole Haves of Gainesville, Ga., and Amy Page of Phoenix, Ariz., sons Eric Haves of Phoenix, Cody Bissett and Donovan Self, both of Conyers; mother Jomae Mobley of Paris, Ark.; sisters Debbie Grissom and Marsha Koeing, both of Las Vegas; brothers Tom Gattis of Paris, and Joe and Steve Gattis, both of Las Vegas, survive her.

Helen Kaufman
Visitation for Helen Kaufman, 96, who died Aug. 30 in Las Vegas, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern, Las Vegas. Services will follow at 2 p.m.
She was born Oct. 28, 1906 in Chico, Calif. She was a 3-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas where she resided for 22 years.
She worked as a bookkeeper in the retail industry.
Her husband Harry of Pahrump; daughters Margaret Boehner of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Lynn Bickler of Brentwood, Calif.; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren survive her.

Joan Daley
Private family services have been held for Joan Daley, 74, who died Sept. 2 in Las Vegas.
She was born March 17, 1929 in Yakima, Wash., and moved to Pahrump in 1989 coming from Bellingham, Wash.
She worked as a plastician until her retirement.
Her husband Gregory of Pahrump; sons Michael (Roseann) Swink of Fairfield, Iowa and Gregory Raymond Daley of Topeka, Kan.; daughter Catherine Mueller of Topeka; sister Norma Biesheubel of Deming, Wash.; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren survive her.

Louis Gallia
Services have been held for Louis F. Gallia, 80, who died Sept. 12 in Pahrump.
He was born March 28, 1923 in Colorado, and was a resident of Pahrump for nine years coming from Las Vegas.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and worked as a superintendent for James Harty until retiring in 1988.
He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Marriage Encounter.
His wife Loretta of Pahrump; daughters Patricia Feron of Pahrump, Linda Randall and Kathleen Gallia, both of Las Vegas; sons David Gallia of San Leandro, Calif., Joseph Gallia and Thomas Gallia, both of Las Vegas; sister Clara Feight of Canon City, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren survive him.

Earl Curtis
Private family services will be held for Earl James Curtis (Bud), 60, who died Sept. 14 in South Lake Tahoe.
He was born Dec. 18, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Kan. He was a loving father and grandfather who loved fishing and camping.
His sons Jim Curtis of Singapore, Scott Curtis of South Lake Tahoe and John Curtis of Modesto, Calif.; daughters April Dowdell of Corvalis, Ore., Lisa Traphagan of Ravendale, Calif., and Sheila Williams of Gardnerville; mother Rose Curtis of Beatty; two brothers and one sister, of all Beatty; and 16 grandchildren survive him.
His father Earl James Curtis and grandson Shawn Gregory preceded him in death.

No services will be held for Kenneth Donald Merriott Jr., 52, who died Sept. 3 in Pahrump.
He was born May 9, 1951 in California, and was a resident of Nevada. He worked as a carpenter.
His brother James Merriott of Nevada and sister Janie (Greg) Hjort survive him.

Gerry Forsyth
Graveside services for Gerry Forsyth, 82, who died Sept. 17, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview cemetery, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road, with Pastor Lewis officiating.
She was born Aug. 24, 1921 in Iowa and was a resident of Pahrump for seven years, coming from Southern California.
She belonged to a swing dance club and liked to play bingo.
Her husband Lorin of Pahrump; children Cheryl (Jerry) Cheatham of Kentucky and Gregory Webb of California; nieces Vicky of New Mexico, and Francis and Pat of California; and seven grandchildren survive her.
Robert Dennis
Private family services will be held for Robert Charles Dennis, 43, who died Sept. 15 in Pahrump.
He was born July 6, 1960 in Fallon, and moved to Pahrump in August 1998, coming from Yerington.
He worked as a millwright mechanic with BPB Gypsum in Blue Diamond.
His wife Nichole of Pahrump; mother Joan Dennis of Reno; son C. J. Dennis of Tacoma, Wash.; daughters Alicia Dennis of Tacoma and April (Quentin) Dummar of Gabbs; brothers Allen Dennis of Reno, Mike Dennis of Fallon, Brad Dennis and Darril Dennis, both of Salt Lake City; and three grandchildren survive him.

Helen Pfleger
Services for Helen Pfleger, 72, who died Sept. 22 in Pahrump, will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Neptune Society of Nye County chapel, 720 Buol Lane.
She was born Oct. 3, 1930, in Bronx, N.Y., and was a resident of Pahrump since August 1993, coming from Fontana, Calif.
She worked in the cage at Terrible's Town Casino since it's opening in 1996.
She was of the Catholic faith and loved playing video poker.
Her husband Robert of Pahrump; son William (Theresa) DePreta of Pahrump; daughters Deborah (Captain K. George) Keller of Boring, Ore., and Christine "KiKi" Schwarz of Charles Town, W. Va.; sister Lillian Abate of Towaco, N.J.; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren survive her.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Carol Hopper
Services for Carol Lee Fanning Harper, 64, who died Sept. 21 in Las Vegas, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grandview cemetery.
She was born Jan. 10, 1939, in Gillette, Wyo., and was a 36-year resident of Pahrump.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Her sons Mark (Anna) Fanning and David (Tami) Fanning, both of Pahrump; sisters Lori (David) Ince of Pahrump, Joyce Zwick of Bullhead City, Ariz., Michele August and Patti Petersen-Rowland, both of San Diego; four grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews survive her.
Her mother Patsy Petersen and father Edward Petersen preceded her in death.

Sybil Salisbury
A memorial services for Sybil D. Salisbury, 65, who died Oct. 4 in Las Vegas, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church with the Reverend Lois Hedden presiding.
She was born Nov. 6, 1937, in Glendale, Calif. She was a resident of Pahrump for 15 years coming from Las Vegas.
A Christian, she was a missionary for the Arcade Wesleyan Church of Sacramento, Calif. She was active in after school programs for children at the Church of Tecopa and Amargosa.
Her sister Phyllis Miller of Pahrump; nephews Matthew and Gordon; five great nephews; and one great niece survive her.
