A Masonic memorial service for George C. Brotherton Jr., 92, who passed away March 2 in Pahrump, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pahrump Lodge No. 54, F&AM, 281 E. Gemini St. Call 727-3570 for information.
Carolyn Miller
Visitation for Carolyn Miller, 84, who passed away April 2 in Pahrump, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. Services will follow at 3 p.m., with interment at Palm Valley View cemetery.
She was born Aug. 20, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah. A homemaker, she was a 45-year resident of Las Vegas.
Her sons Michael Miller and Philip Miller of Pahrump; daughters Carolyne Bowler and Kathleen Duran of Salt Lake City, Lyndee Lombardi and Jeanine Propps of Pahrump, and Toni Larock of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren survive her.

Rodna Jackson
Services were held Thursday at Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Ky., for Rodna (Ronnie) Jackson, 81, who passed away in her home April 4 in Shelbyville. Interment will be in Owenton cemetery.
She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and when visiting Pahrump she made many friends at Pahrump Community Church.
Her husband George Jackson, daughter Joyce Schnelzer, sisters Pauline Lowe and Betty Wise, granddaughters Suane and Kalee Schnelzer and great granddaughter Anna Sanchez, survive her. (4/4/05)
Marion King
Private family services will be held for Marion L. King, 77, who passed away April 5 at her home in Pahrump.
She was born Aug. 13, 1927 in Michigan and was a 10-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Phoenix.
She worked as the Ageing Services Center supervisor for the city of Phoenix until retiring in 1993.
Her husband Donald King of Pahrump; son Don (Gloria) King of Covington, Wash.; daughter Ann (Dennis) Graham of Temple, Texas; three grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren survive her.

Gary Nighswonger
Services for Gary Nighswonger, 55, who passed away March 24, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Comstock Clubhouse. He will be interred at the VA cemetery in Boulder City.
He was born May 28, 1948 in Kansas and was a 23-year resident of Pahrump.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and worked as a cosmetologist.
His daughter Athena Nighswonger of Virginia Beach and sister Gay (Ron) Martinolich of Portland survive him. (3/24/05)
Jack Massey
Services for Jack A. Massey, 74, who passed away April 7 in Pahrump, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Southern Nevada Veterans cemetery in Boulder City.
He was born Oct. 17, 1930 in Greeley, Colo., and was a 13-year Pahrump resident, coming from Yuma, Ariz.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander in 1970. He was a member of the VFW and of the Christian faith.
His wife Joyce of Pahrump; sons Doug Massey of Yuma and Shane Chapman of Tucson, Ariz.; daughters Susan Erwin and Fawndena Williamson, both of Yuma, and Lynne Peck of Las Vegas; brother Larry Massey of Loveland, Colo.; and nine grandchildren survive him.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.

Leta Weigand
A celebration of life for Leta M. (Campbell) Weigand, 77, who passed away Jan. 28, will be held at 1 p.m. April 22 at West Valley Baptist Church, with Pastor Charles Williams officiating. A reception will follow. Private inurnment will be April 23.
She was born Oct. 29, 1927 in Tamms, Ill., and was a longtime resident of Pahrump.
She and her husband Al owned a transfer and storage business Winfield, Kan. Leta also worked as a cook for the Women's Hospital in Las Vegas, as a professional babysitter and a professional dressmaker. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Leta was a loving mother, a school track star, a game show genius and a bingo aficionado. She was devoted to her family, especially her children, and could always be counted on to provide sound advice.
Her daughters Kathryn (Joe) Martin of Pahrump and Sandra (Jack) McHaley of Arizona; sons Robert (Thelma) Sinks of Kansas and Bruce (Fe) Sinks of Washington state; stepchildren Larry of Kansas, Lewis and Jim; sisters Myra Krausz of Illinois and Belva (Sonny) Sanders of Pahrump; brother Carlton Campbell of Pahrump; 24 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren survive her.
Her husband Allie T. Wiegand preceded her in death in 2001, as well as her brother Stanley, sisters Arlene and Valta and infant children Barbara, Thomas, Donald and John, unable to survive difficulties at childbirth. (1/28/05)
Patricia Martinez
Services for Patricia Martinez, 66, who passed away April 8 in Pahrump, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chief Tecopa cemetery.
She was born Feb. 26, 1939 in Detroit, Mich., and moved to Pahrump 14 years ago from Taylor, Mich.
She worked as a secretary until retiring in 1987. A Christian, she was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.
Her sister Shirley (Tom) Peyton, niece Trisha Peyton and nephew Thomas Peyton, all of Michigan, survive her.
Her husband preceded her in death.

Hazel Kidd
Services for Hazel Kidd, 93, who passed away April 13 in Pahrump, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pahrump Family Mortuary.
She was born Oct. 14, 1911 in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada, and moved to Pahrump one year ago, coming from San Pedro, Calif.
She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
Her son Arran R. Kidd of Pahrump, brother Kenneth Batsford of Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and three grandchildren survive her.
Her husband preceded her in death.

Gertrude Butler
Gertrude Elizabeth Butler, 76, passed away March 30 in Las Vegas.
She was born Dec. 26, 1928 in San Fernando, Calif., to Horace W. and Josephine G. Butler.
She worked most of her life as a bookkeeper and was a member of the Lords Congregation. A loving mother and grandmother, a beloved friend and inspiration to many, she will be greatly missed.
Two daughters, Ruth Elizabeth (Robert) of Nipomo, Calif., and Carolyn Sue (Kenneth) Indra of Pahrump; seven grandchildren, Richard, Randy, Renee, Jammie, Dawn, Michelle and Taline; six great grandchildren, Corrine, Aline, Robbie, Shayla, Ashley and Bailey; and many other family members and friends, survive her. LouEtta McKoy
Visitation for LouEtta "Lou" McKoy, 57, who passed away April 17 in Las Vegas, will be held from 5-7 p.m. today and noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary - Eastern. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Las Vegas, with interment at Palm Valley View cemetery.
She was born May 12, 1947 in Buffalo, N.Y., and was a resident of Henderson since 1978. She was a former resident of Buffalo and Lima, Ohio.
She was an owner/ operator, importer and real estate agent. She was the co-founder of Blackjack Fireworks. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Las Vegas and of the Children's Advocacy Alliance.
Her husband Frank McKoy of Henderson; sons Anthony Michael McKoy, Frank J. McKoy Jr., and Timothy Allen McKoy, all of Henderson; mother Mary Rose Sackinger of Buffalo; sisters Katherine Ann Andolina of Jacksonville, Fla., Rebecca Rose Dellapenta and Tammy Jean Wisniewski, both of Buffalo; brothers Willis Leo Sackinger Jr., of Charlotte, N.C., and Gregory Joseph Sackinger of Buffalo; and five grandchildren survive her.

Anneliese Dreseler
No services will be held for Anneliese Dreseler, 81, who passed away April 15.
She was born May 27, 1923 in Berlin, Germany. In 1951, she and her husband Ludwig moved from Germany to New York City, where she worked as a teller for the Bank of New York. The couple became U.S. citizens in 1959.
They moved to Pahrump in 1981 after retiring.
Her husband Ludwig preceded her in death in 1983.
She will be sorely missed by her adopted family, Gene and Sheila Abney, Berta Visto, Kelly Abney and all her friends in Pahrump.
