Frances Gallemore
A private family service will be held for Frances M. Gallemore, 79, who passed away Oct. 24 in Pahrump.
She was born Sept. 26, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio. She was a two-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Florida.
She worked as a piano teacher. She was also a loving mother and grandmother.
Her son Joe Gallemore of Pahrump; daughters Marsie Orosco and Paulina Gallemore, both of Pahrump; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren survive her.

Donald Oakley
A private family service will be held for Donald John Oakley, 63, who passed away Nov. 14 in Pahrump.
He was born Nov. 4, 1942 in Canandaigua, N.Y. He was a 12-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Las Vegas.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He later worked as a truck driver and was a member of the American Legion.
His wife Sue of Pahrump; daughter Brenda of Las Vegas; sons Robert of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ronald of Las Vegas; sister Pat of Florida; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren survive him.
His son Dana preceded him in death.

Karen Quiroga
A celebration of life for Karen Quiroga, 55, who passed away Nov. 11 in Las Vegas, will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Wulfy's.
She was born July 29, 1950 in Utah and was a resident of Pahrump.
Her son Todd Osborn of Utah; daughters Kim Osborn and Jody Ann Petrulionis, both of Pahrump; sisters Jeri Harp of California, and Julie Russell of Utah; and 11 grandchildren survive her.
Her father and mother preceded her in death.

Sibyl Callender
Services for Sibyl Kelleshon Callender, 85, who passed away Nov. 12 in Pahrump, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Val Halla Mortuary in North Hollywood, Calif.
She was born March 3, 1920 in Alabama. She was a 19-year resident of Pahrump.
She worked as a model and as a secretary.
Her husband Fred A. Callender of Pahrump; son Gary of Arizona; granddaughter Bonnie; and great grandson Nicholas survive her.
Her mother Mayme Alexander; and sisters Eugenia "Jeannie" and Dottie preceded her in death.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to your local cancer society.

Clyde Williams
Services are pending for Clyde "J. C." Williams, 54, who passed away Oct. 23 in Pahrump.
He was born Nov. 17, 1950 in Texas. He was a six-year resident of Pahrump.
He was a Vietnam veteran who earned a Purple Heart while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was also a devoted husband, dad and grandpa.
His wife Cindy of Pahrump; daughter Jasmine; son Michael; mother Ola Anderson; and two grandchildren survive him.

Joseph Lucido
Services for Joseph Lucido, 67, who passed away Nov. 12 in Pahrump, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church.
He was born Dec. 21, 1937 in New York.
He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a deputy district attorney.
His wife Libby Lucido of Pahrump; sons Steve Tarragano, Albert Tarragano and Joey Tarragano; daughter Fran Hackney; sisters Lucy Lucido, Maria Lucido Phylis Lucido, Ann Schmall and Lousia Price; brothers Ralph Lucido, Tony Lucido and George Lucido; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren survive him.

Joseph Deterra
A viewing for Joseph Bateman Deterra III, 49, who passed away Nov. 14 in Las Vegas, will be held from 3-4 p.m. today at Pahrump Valley Mortuary.
He was born June 8, 1956 in San Francisco, Calif. He was a six-year resident of Pahrump, coming from Hayward, Calif.
His mother Georgia Deterra of Pahrump; sisters Karen Kephart and Linda Jones, both of California; loving son Joseph B. Deterra IV of Washington; and daughter Shannon Rameriz of California survive him.
His father Joseph B. Deterra Jr. preceded him death.

Peggy Andrews
Peggy L. Andrews, 79, passed away Dec. 21 at her home in Pahrump.
She was born Jan. 10, 1924 in Shamrock, Texas to Robert Homer and Susie Jane (Houston) Compary. She was named Artie Loretta Pearl Compary and acquired the lifelong nickname of Peggy.
Her husband Vernon Andrews of Pahrump; son Steven Scott (Tracy) Andrews of Las Vegas; sister Opal M. Compary of Clovis, N.M.; aunt Anges Houston of Tustin, Calif.; step-grandson Jerry (Shannon) Barker of Pahrump; and many nieces and nephews survive her.
Her father Robert Compary, mother Susie Thomas, half-brother Andy Compary, half-sisters Florence Hill and Kitty Boldes, sisters Mildred Fails and Ruby Pauline Watkins, brother R.D. Compary, daughters Peggy Diane Bires and Sherry Cathleen Bires and son Frank Bires preceded her in death.
A gathering of family friends to honor her memory will be held at the Andrews' home Saturday. (12/21/04)
Roger Gandrud
Roger Todd Gandrud, 42, passed away Dec. 20 in Pahrump. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Pahrump Family Mortuary. He was born Aug. 5, 1962 in Henderson, Nev., and moved to Pahrump seven years ago coming from Las Vegas.
He worked as a groundskeeper and was of Christian faith.
His daughters Jackie Jean and Rachel from Oregon, and Renee from Pahrump; sons Anthony Joe from Pahrump and Roger Todd Jr. from Oregon; mother Thelma Gandrud of Henderson, Nev.; three brothers; four sisters; 26 nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren, survive him.

Wesley Roman
Services have been held for Wesley Alexander Roman, 2 months, who passed away Dec. 29 in South Dakota.
His parents Danielle Roman, Eric Fried and Francis Wendt; grandparents Beverly Adams, Jim Trueax, Jes and Bernadette Roman, and Larry and Melanie Fried; great-grandparents Charles and Beverly Hanhart, Antonia Delgado; uncles Jason Roman, Matthew Johnston, Christopher (Candice) Fried; aunts Amber Johnston and Sharisse Roman; and numerous great uncles and aunts, survive him.

Lucille House
Lucille House, 85, passed away Jan. 1 in Pahrump. Services will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Pahrump Family Mortuary.
She was born May 10, 1919 in Louisiana. She was a resident of Pahrump for two years, coming from New Orleans. She worked as a postal clerk, before retiring in 1979. Her hobbies were bridge, scrabble tournaments, volunteer teaching and writing poetry. She was of the Catholic faith.
Her husband Charles House of Pahrump; daughters Diana H. Kirk of Mountain View, Calif., and Charlotte F. Booth of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and one great grandchild, survive her.
