She was born March 23, 1936 in Manhattan, N.Y., and was a Pahrump resident for eight years.
She worked as a communications technician in the telephone industry before retiring.
Her sons Jimmy Britt and Tom Britt of Albuquerque, N.M., Richard Ellis and Steve Ellis of California, and Randall Ellis of Pahrump; daughters Kathleen Medina of Pahrump and Tracy Ellis of California; sisters Margaret Core and Katherine Soesman of Pahrump; and 14 grandchildren survive her.

Ella Mae Bradley
Private family services will be held for Ella Mae Bradley, 94, who died Oct. 8 in Pahrump.
She was born Dec. 17, 1910 in New York.
Her sons Royal Bradley of Pahrump and Ronald Bradley of Coalton, W. Va., two brothers, four sisters, seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren survive her.

James Calkins
Services were held Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for James Lawrence Calkins, 45, who died Oct. 7 in Las Vegas.
He was born Dec. 12, 1959 in Artesia, Calif. An electrician by trade, he lived in Pahrump for two years, coming from Elko. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His mother Glennda (Edward) Jackson of Pahrump; sisters Marilyn (Kim) Schenk of Reno and Susan (Ward) Twitchell of Henderson; brothers Michael (Neca) Calkins of Henderson, Daniel (Donna) Jackson of Texas, Earl Jackson of Maryland and Stephen Jackson of Texas; sons Bill Calkins and Joshua Calkins, both of California, and Jon Farrow of Nevada; and daughter Alexandra Farrow of Nevada survive him.
His sister Pamela Calkins and father James Calkins preceded him in death.

Timothy Grover
A viewing for Timothy Raymond Grover of Reno, 45, who died Oct. 5 in Tierra Amarillo, Copiapo Chile, will be held at Ross, Burke and Knobel Mortuary in Reno from 5-7 p.m. Thursday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Little Flower Catholic Church, 875 Plumb Lane in Reno with burial to follow at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic cemetery.
He was manager of health and safety at Kinross Gold USA. Tim will be missed by all who knew him and leaves a legacy of love and family that will live on for generations.
His wife Beverly, sons Derek, Brady and Brandon (Lisa), daughter Annie, granddaughters Taylor and Addison, parents Billy and Karen, brothers Rick and William, sister Perry and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

Lawrence McManus
Private family services will be held for Lawrence G. McManus, 71, who passed away Oct. 9 in Las Vegas.
He was born Aug. 11, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pa., and moved from there to Pahrump 16 years ago.
He worked as District Crew Chief for Equitable Gas Company and was a member of the Catholic Church.
He was a former member of SKP Park, loved traveling in his fifth wheel and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
His children Victoria (Ray) Brooks, Paty (Taki) Kamtsios, Lawrence K. (Carol) McManus, Kathleen A. (Jack) McManus and Erin (Bernie) Lunardi; grandchildren Raymond, Brian, Costa, Helena, Charlie, Michelle, Jarrod, Audreanna and Matthew; and great grandchild McKayla survive him.
His father Lawrence L. McManus, mother Margaret and brother James preceded him in death.

Otis Rapp
Private family services will be held for Otis L. Rapp, 72, who passed away Oct. 8 in Pahrump.
He was born March 31, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio, and was a resident of Pahrump for eight years.
Her served in Korea in the U.S. Army. Most recently, he retired from International Harvester, Glidden Paint Company and Valspar Paint Company.
His wife Pat L. Rapp of Pahrump; children Gerald Rapp, Dennis (Mary) Rapp, Lorinda (Jeff) Myers, and Decinda (Terry) Foster; stepchildren Brenda Dace, Rhodon Melchizedek, Dianne (Mike) Moses, Debbie Toni, John Rollins, Steve Rollins and Rodney Toni; sister Luanna Rollins of Springfield; brother-in-law Gene Farish; 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren survive him.
His parents Roy and Pauline Rapp preceded him in death.

Kathy Pearson
A private service will be held for Kathy R. Pearson, 35, who passed away Oct. 2 in Pahrump.
She was born Feb. 19, 1970 in Seattle, Wash., and was a resident of Pahrump for 10 months. She worked at Hafen Elementary School in security.
Her husband David Lance Pearson; daughter Stacy Melissa Pearson; son Brian Scott Pearson; parents John and Ramona; brothers John, Mark and Charles; and sisters Celine, Sonia, Joann, Carlene and Doreen survive her.
Donations may be made to a benefit account at Nevada State Bank in lieu of flowers, or contact Hafen Elementary School to support the family in some other way. (10/2/05)
Arthur Sanchez
Private family services will be held for Arthur Pete Sanchez, 62, who passed away Oct. 7 in Pahrump.
He was born Nov. 29, 1942 in Price City, Utah and moved to Pahrump 10 years ago, coming from Phoenix. He always considered Pahrump as his home.
A Vietnam veteran, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps and attained the rank of sergeant. He was awarded a good conduct medal the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He then worked as a general laborer in the construction industry.
He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge.
His sons Arthur Jr., Robert and Jon; daughter LaRae and adopted daughter Alice; seven brother and sisters; and 25 grandchildren survive him.

Lester Thompson
A private family service will be held for Lester Thompson, 69, who passed away Oct. 5 in Pahrump.
He was born June 18, 1936 in Chicago, Ill., and moved from there to Pahrump seven years ago. He worked as a machinist.
His sister Sandy (Joe) Kohl of Pahrump; three nephews; and one niece survive him.

Amanda Dukes
Services for Amanda Patricia Dukes, 52, who passed away Oct. 15 in Las Vegas, will be held at noon Saturday at Pahrump Family Mortuary.
She was born Aug. 7, 1952 in Hollywood, Calif. She was a resident of Pahrump for 11 years and was a bakery manager at Smith's Food & Drug.
Her husband Billy Thomas Dukes of Pahrump and mother Gertrude Ryan of Torrence, Calif., survive her.

Robert Churchman
Services for Robert Lester Churchman, 58, who passed away Oct. 16 in Pahrump, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Pahrump Family Mortuary.
He was born Nov. 22, 1946 in Perrin, Ark. He was a resident of Pahrump for five months, coming from Temple Bar, Ariz.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Most recently, he was a maintenance supervisor with the National Park Service. He retired this past July.
His wife of 26 years, Teresa of Pahrump; daughter Corinna (Jon) Mika of Indian Springs; sons Jeffrey of Fargo, N.D., and Robert William of Oklahoma; and four grandchildren survive him.
His parents preceded him in death.

Gale Archer
Services for Gale O. Archer, 81, who passed away Oct. 11 in Newark, Ohio, were held Oct. 17 at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home on 141 Green Wave Drive, in Newark.
She was born May 27, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio. She was a Lutheran and a member of the Eastern Star.
Her son and daughter-in-law, John Archer and Kathleen Rice of Medinah, Ill.; daughter Carol (Douglas) Maxwell of Newark; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive her.
Her parents Albert and Florence (Spies) Kiser; and husband V. Wayne Archer preceded her in death.
