Katherine Medina, 37, of Aztec, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, in Farmington.
She was born Jan. 31, 1971, in Farmington, to Jack Medina and Neomi Medina.
Cremation has taken place.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 15, at Rose of Sharon Church in Flora Vista. Fermin Talamante will preside.

Mitchell A. Morrison

Mitchell A. Morrison, 15, of Farmington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family by his bedside Saturday.
Mitchell was born Dec. 22, 1992, in Tulsa, Okla.
Mitchell is survived by his parents, Pastor Dan and Jane Morrison, and his four brothers, Chris, Ben, David and Sam Morrison, all of Farmington; grandparents Kenneth and Dorcas Gravley, of New London, Minn., and John and Lucila Bull, of Norman, Okla.; uncles and aunts, Jay and Beth Gravley, of New London, Minn., and John Morrison of London, England; cousins, Elyse and Eric Hagen, and Joshua Gravley and Jason Gravley, all of New London, Minn.
Mitchell is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gordon Morrison.
A visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, with friends and relatives to be received by the family until 7 p.m.
The visitation will continue until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Living Word Church, 1200 30th St., in Farmington.
The Rev. David Grothe will officiate.
Interment will be at the Floral Heaven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Okla.
Pallbearers will be his four brothers, Chris Morrison, Ben Morrison, David Morrison, Sam Morrison and Jordon Gutierrez and Conrad Guenzler.

Sammie Bedford Edney

Sammie Bedford Edney, 92, a resident of Farmington since the early 1950s, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at San Juan Manor in Farmington.
Sammie was born Aug. 29, 1916, in Prague, Okla., the son of Newton Bedford Edney and Leona Mary Francis (Banks) Edney.
Mr. Edney served his country in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge.
He was stationed in New Guinea during WWII.
Sammie enjoyed riding motorcycles, racing, fishing, hunting, reading, boating, playing games and traveling.
Mr. Edney served on the Farmington Police force during the 1950s and was one of the first motorcycle patrol officers during that time.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Mr. Edney was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Benny Edney, Walter Edney, Sylvia Owen and Mildred Chapman; and by his wife, Ruth (Helms) Edney.
Sammie is survived by Marie (Wells) Edney, his wife of 23 years; son, Paul Edney; daughter, Pauline Pyburn; stepchildren, Dennis Lukehart and Susan Hazen; sister, Goldie Jones; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and by many dear friends.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 12, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St., in Farmington.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N. Dustin Ave., in Farmington, with Pastor Joe O'Neal officiating.
Military honors will be provided by VFW Post No. 2182. Interment will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Sammie's memory to Bank of the Southwest, 320 W. Main St., Farmington, NM 87401.

John Clayton "J.C." Holt, 93, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, entered heaven Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008. J.C. was born June 5, 1915, to Joe Holt and Flora Mildred Fletcher in Hamlin, Texas.
J.C. and Nellie Reves Holt were married Oct. 16, 1939, in Anson, Texas, and were married for 67 years.
He lost his loving wife, Nellie, on April 16, 2007.
J.C. is survived by one brother-in-law, Robert L. Reves of Leuders, Texas; daughter, Mary Nell Roberts and husband, Jack, of Commerce, Texas; son, Douglas C. Holt and wife, Katherine N., of Farmington; grandchildren, James C. Roberts and wife, Linda, of Wills Point, Texas, John A. Roberts and wife, Dana, of Richardson, Texas, Jeb Douglas Holt and wife, Louisa, of Durango, Colo., Ryan Mathews Holt and wife, Erica, of Fredericksburg, Va., and Nicole Lee Holt of Brooklyn, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Justin and Kathryn Roberts of Wills Point, Daniel Roberts of Richardson, Sophia, Cyrus and Jebbie Holt of Durango, and Elena and Natalie Holt of Fredericksburg; nieces, Ann Jenkins of Glenwood, W.Va., Patsy Stice Rednez of Eldorado, Texas, Peggy Jordan of Leuders, Texas, Carolyn Burkman of Leuders, Texas, and Linda Moore of Ely, Nev.; nephew, Robert L. Reves of Leuders; and grand-nephew, Robert Ray Kershman of Abilene, Texas.
J.C. graduated from Hamlin High School in Hamlin.
After high school, he started working for Standolind Oil & Gas Company in Odessa, Texas.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a motor machinist's mate Second Class.
He was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
After the war, he returned to Standolind Oil & Gas Company, which became Amoco Production (now BP America) and retired after 38 years of service as the District Foreman in Farmington.
He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church.
Services for J.C. will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at The First United Methodist Church in Farmington, with Dr. Craig Curry officiating.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Farmington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the BP Needy Family Fund, Child Haven in Farmington, or the Boys and Girls Club of America.

Robert Lee "Red" Immell

Robert Lee "Red" Immell, joined our heavenly father Oct. 9, 2008.
He was born Sept. 21, 1938, to Bert Franklin Immell and Beulah Eulah Heston Immell in Liberal, Kan.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Kay Immell; sons, Robert Eugene (Jocelyn) Immell, Brian Lee Immell and Richard Allen Immell (Marcie); and daughter, Kristie Lynn Koste (William).
Also surviving are four adoring grandchildren, Bryan Preston Immell, Tiffany LaRue Immell, Liam Christopher Koste and Arwyn Victoria Ann Immell.
"Red" was a retired employee of Amoco Production/BP America with 25 years of dedicated service.
Prior to that he worked for Anadarko Production in Liberal, Kan., and other various companies and professions.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Memorial services for "Red" will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, with Father Hunt Peacock officiating.
Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life for well-known Durango, Colo., musician and songwriter Ron Urban will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at the Abbey Theatre 128 E. College Ave. in Durango.
Urban, 60, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at his home of complications from heart disease.
His brothers, Oreste Urban Jr. and Richard Urban, preceded him in death.
He is survived by Susan Urban, his beloved wife of 35 years; by daughter, Shauna Urban, of Durango; one grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Everyone is welcome to attend the finger food potluck event at the Abbey.
A labyrinth walk will be held afterwards on the Urbans' property.
