HELEN MAE LANG HULLINGER, 92, of Santa Fe died Thursday after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband John V. Hullinger.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Bechko and husband Michael of Santa Fe; and one granddaughter.

ROBERTO LUCERO, 90, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Saturday at Northeastern Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Los Alamos and married to the late Genevieve O. Vigil in Sapello.
He served as a private first class in the U.S. Army, Battery B, 107th FA Battalion during World War II. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He received his bachelor of arts and masters degrees from New Mexico Highlands University. He retired in 1972 from the Las Vegas City Schools where he was employed for 36 years as a teacher and then as an elementary principal. His hobbies included woodworking, painting, ceramics, and jewelry design. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was a member of the Men's Holy Name Society at the Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the VFW, Woodmen of Order, and the NEA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melecio and Eutimia Lucero; wife, Genevieve O. Lucero; brothers, Manuel Lucero, Melecio Lucero, Esequiel Lucero, and Filiberto Lucero; and special nephew, Arthur Lucero.
He is survived by his son, Robert L. Lucero Sr., and wife Margie of Las Vegas, N.M.; two grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. today at the Immaculate Conception Church with burial to follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Building Fund, 811 Sixth St., Las Vegas, N.M. 87701.

BERLINDA MARTINEZ, 70, of Embudo died Saturday after a sudden illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rafael T. Martinez; parents, Anselmo and Manuelita Griego; brothers and sisters, Oralia Valdez, Theresa, Jose, and Margarito and Emilio Griego.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Martinez; one granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends.

He was a counselor's aide at the Rio Grande Treatment Center.
