Darrell Hardt. Funeral service for Darrell Oliver Hardt will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2002, will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Richard Torrie officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Darrell died Friday, May 3, at his home at the age of 45 after a prolonged illness. The son of David Oliver and Louise Fay Fultz Hardt was born January 14, 1957, in Bisbee, AZ. Darrell attended Naco Elementary in Bisbee, and graduated from Silver City High School in Silver City, NM, in 1975. In 1974, Darrell married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Ellen Cooper. They made their home in Silver City for 9 years where Darrell worked for Phelps Dodge Corporation doing shovel repair. The family then moved to Albuquerque, NM, and later Claremore, OK. They lived in Claremore for the next 8 years, and in Nov. 1998 moved to Chelsea, OK. Darrell owned Hardt Installations, installing shielded MRI rooms. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and making silver and turquoise jewelry. Darrell especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He could often be found driving his tractor with his grandchildren. He enjoyed combing his granddaughter, Riann's hair every evening after her bath. Darrell is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Daniel Oliver Hardt and wife, Amanda of Claremore; daughter, Barbara April Rachel Hassell of Chelsea; parents, David and Louise Hardt of Sierra Vista, AZ; maternal grandparents, Albert and Cloma Leachet of Safford, AZ; brother, Ivan Thomas Hardt and wife, Shannon of Sierra Vista, AZ; sisters: Nina Herbert of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Gay Jeanette Cole and husband, Glen of Virden, NM; grandchildren: Preston, Taylin, Creedon, and Riann Hassell all of Chelsea; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Jessie G. "Granny" Hill, 90, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family, Friday, May 3, 2002. She is survived by her son, Dick Hill and wife, Janet; daughter, Deanna VanderLaan of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Cara Blackmon, Allen Chumbler, Jeff Hill, Doug VanderLaan, Gary Hill, and Debi Cone; six great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister, Evelyn Thompson of Benton, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, George W. Hill and daughter, Janice Gibson Hill. Mrs. Hill was a charter member of Crestview Baptist Church and current member of the First Baptist Church. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and taught Sunday school for over 50 years. Cleo M. Hunley, 53, a resident of Albuquerque for 25 years, passed away on May 4, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Jess of the family home; two daughters, Jennifer Casey and husband, Tim of San Jose, CA and Jodi Hunley of the family home; mother, Asencion Valdez of Farmington, NM; two grandsons, Matthew and David Casey; five sisters, Cecilia Stover and husband, Howard, Gloria Fulton and husband, Rick, Betty Chavez and husband, Henry, Viola Moore and husband, Rex, and Raelyn Earnest and husband, Dale; father in law, Jess Hunley; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Madonna M. Moye, born in Kokomo, Indiana on June 21, 1912, to John and Carrie Priesthoff, passed away on May 4, 2002. Madonna moved to Albuquerque in October of 1938. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald E. Moye, whom she married in June of 1940; and their three sons, J. Robert and wife, Betty Ann of Seattle, William J. and wife, Laurie and J. Michael and wife, Carol, all of Albuquerque; a sister, Mrs. Florence Peters of Tucson; four grandsons, Scot Moye and wife, Linley of Portland, Bryan Moye and wife, Marguerite of Los Angeles, Paul Moye and wife, Sarah of Seattle, and Jason Moye and wife, Claire of Davenport; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 'Donna' was a member of Immaculate Conception parish. For 58 years she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Santa Maria #317. She was also active in the National Federated Republican Women, Zia Chapter, St. Joseph Auxiliary, and a volunteer at St. Joseph Medical Center. She graduated from the Western School for Private Secretaries and was in the accounting business with her husband for 30 years. Dr. Diana Kristine Quinn, a resident of Albuquerque since 1988, died Friday, May 3, 2002 in a local hospital from complications of acute leukemia. She was born in Los Alamos to Bernice and Warren Quinn on April 22, 1958 and graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1976. She received a BS degree in Biochemistry from the University of California (Davis) in 1981 and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California (San Diego) in 1988. Dr. Quinn completed her Residency Training in the Psychiatry Department at the University of New Mexico in 1992 and began employment with the University's Mental Health Sciences Department in 1992. She was Board Certified in Psychiatry with added qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Quinn received the prestigious Khatali Teaching Award from the UNM School of Medicine in 1999. At the time of her death, she was an Associate Professor in the UNM Department of Psychiatry and Director of Inpatient and Psychiatric Emergency Services at the UNM Mental Health Center. Dr. Quinn is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence S. Sanchez; her parents; her sister, Patricia Quinn and husband, William Asher and their children, Amelia, Gifford, and Rosa; and by her maternal grandmother, several aunts and uncles, and many cousins. Also surviving are mother-in-law, Mela Sanchez; brother-in-law, George Sanchez and wife, Sherri and children, Jared and Justin; sister-in-law, Betty Sue Conner, husband John and children, Abe and John Lee. Diana was a wonderful wife, loving daughter, and was a very caring and compassionate person. She loved hiking, dancing, swimming, knitting and their dogs, Paco and Parl. Herley Dana Sharp, age 51 a resident of Houston, TX, died unexpectedly May 2, 2002, while on assignment in Phoenix, Arizona. He was widely respected as a Certified Trainer and Crane Rigging Specialist with Baldwin Industrial Services. A friend says, 'Dana was a good man ' tried, tested, and true- whether son, father, brother, husband, or friend. Good Old HD always came through!' Ronna J. Simmons, 54, a resident of Albuquerque for 15 years, died Thursday, May 2, 2002. She is survived by her husband Dwight Simmons of the family home; daughter, Cinda James and husband, Tom of Corrales; son, Rob Simmons and wife, Ferris of Albuquerque; father and mother, Wilbur and Claudene Ray of Arboles, CO; grandchildren, Darin, Travis, Ashton, and Kameron; brother, Ron T. Ray and wife, Geri Ann of Pittsburg, CA; sister, Vicki Fontana and husband, Anthony of Modesto, CA; nieces and nephews, Todd Ray, Kim Bowman, Shawna Clayton, Joe, Domenic, Matthew and Nathan Fontana; and three grand nephews. Mrs. Simmons was born and raised in Roswell, and moved to California where she graduated from cosmetology school in 1962. She continued her education and operated an accounting and tax preparation business. In 1981, Mrs. Simmons moved to Colorado and entered the field of social work where she made a positive difference in the families' lives she worked with making the future brighter for their children. She was devoted to her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Modesto, CA. John Robert Stiles, Jr., 63, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died Friday, May 3, 2002. Mr. Stiles was born in Council Bluffs, IA and was raised in Napa and Carmel, CA. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Stiles of Albuquerque; son, Trey Stiles of Seattle, WA; daughter, Kelly Seider and husband, Joel; grandson, Cameron Seider all of Chicago, IL; mother, Barbara Britt of Hemet, CA; father-in-law, George Neun of Albuquerque and numerous other family members. John served 4 years in the Navy. His motto was, 'Happiness is being a family.' John loved to combine electronics with holiday decorations; he designed and built computerized model trains for Christmas displays. At different times in his life he enjoyed sailing, off-road motorcycling, building radio controlled model airplanes and most recently the joy of being a grandfather. Pauline Hunter Swope was born April 27, 1913, to Lora E. and Nettie Simpson in Belen, N.M. She passed away May 4, 2002, in Albuquerque at Lovelace Medical Center. Pauline's family moved to the Mountainair area in 1920, buying property Southeast of town at the foot of Deer Mountain. She attended Cedar Grove School and Mountainair High School. On November 16, 1932, she married Clifton Hunter of Mountainair. To this union was born two girls, Helen and Lois. Clif and Pauline were later divorced. On August 7, 1957, Pauline married Frank Swope. They celebrated 30 years of marriage before he passed away in September of 1987. Pauline worked at the Mountainair Hospital as a cook, packaged beans for the Shockey Bean Co. and clerked in the grocery store for Henry Edwards, worked at the Sanderson Drug Store and her last job was for the Mountainair Public Schools as a secretary to the high school principal and later as secretary to the superintendent. She held this job for almost twenty years before retiring in June 1974. She loved this job and could call almost every student by name. She is survived by her daughters, Helen (Bob) Lassiter of Twin Falls, Idaho and Lois (Mike) Runyon of Garden Grove, CA; four grandchildren, Neil (Darlene) Lassiter, Robin (Joe) Silvey of Twin Falls, ID, Shelli (Alex) Britan of Pearland, TX and Jeff (Sheri) Lassiter of Boise, ID. She has 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Mountainair Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7th, under the direction of Harris Hanlon Mortuary, with Doris Jacquess and Shirley Sweat of Mountainair Christian Center officiating. Billie G. Tingley, 55, resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died Friday, May 3, 2002. Lucy Ann Warner, a woman whose zest for life touched all who knew her, died peacefully at home on Saturday, May 4, 2002. She was born on April 16, 1937, in Northampton, Massachusetts to Louise Walker Warner and Joseph Warner Jr. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in English Literature, studied fine arts at the University of New Mexico, and got her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Cranbrook Academy in Birmingham, Michigan. She later became an artist in residence at a museum in Alexandria, Virginia, where she gave lectures and developed outreach programs on weaving and textile design. Lucy Ann and her family moved to Albuquerque in 1947. She was a professional weaver and textile designer. She had her own studio and attained national prominence for her keen sense of color and design. Her work was represented in galleries in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, New York, Chicago, and Arizona. One of her pieces is in the permanent collection in the Detroit Art Museum. She was very active in community affairs and served on the Board of Directors of People Living Through Cancer, where she chaired the Board Development Committee. She was also a former board member of the New Mexico Arthritis Foundation. A woman of many passions, Lucy Ann loved singing and was a voice student of Carmoline Grady. She also enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her friends, traveling, and dancing. She had a positive approach to life always believing that her cup was always full. Lucy Ann is survived by her beloved companion, Morrie Blumberg; her brothers Joseph Warner III and his wife, Sum of Albuquerque; David Hunt Warner and his wife, Liz of Seattle; nieces and nephews, Jasmine Warner, Robert Warner, Michael Warner, Jenny Warner, Kathy Warner and Jon Warner. She also is survived by many special friends who meant so much to Lucy Ann. Lori Lynne Barton died Saturday, May 3, 2003. She is survived by husband Kevin, sons Shane and Dillon. She was preceded in death by son Dustin. Lori was born in Albuquerque, May 17, 1963 and was actively involved in Parents Reaching Out, a support organization for parents with handicapped children and issues involving the handicapped. She testified before Congress on damages relating to the DPT vaccine that resulted in changes made to the law. Lori was an avid speaker and great listener with a heart of gold, making friends in all walks of life.
