Damacio F. Aragon, 95, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Esther Aragon of Albuquerque; daughters, Nickie and husband, Leonard Eisenzimmer of Albuquerque, Ramona Moleres of Grants, NM, Margaret Welter of Camby, IN; sons, Col. Jose Aragon and wife, Colleen of Arlington, VA and Claude Aragon and wife, Drucilla of Grants, NM. He is also survived by sons-in-law, Wayne Gilbertson of Sun City, AZ and Pete Malies of Kyle, TX. Damacio is survived 19 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Carmel Malies, Theresa Gilbertson and Mary Anne and husband, Paschal Malies, sons-in-law, Robert Moleres and Gene Welter. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW with Legion of Mary, reciting. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with Father Frank Prieto, celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Marie K. Conley, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died Sunday, April 27, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Delbert E. Conley of Albuquerque; daughters, Pamela Houston and husband, Tommy of Mandeville, LA and Joyce Marquez and husband, J.R. of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Amy Houston and Jacqueline Marquez; grandsons, Eric Houston and Vincent Marquez; brothers, Donald Heberlein and wife, Susie of Arizona, Raymond Heberlein of California, and Russell Heberlein and wife, Helen of Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy Genevieve D'Angelo, 80, died on April 26, 2003 in Albuquerque. She was born in Tularosa, NM to Lloyd and Anna Mackey Rodgers. She married Joseph John D'Angelo, Jr. in December 1944. Dorothy was a loving mom and devoted grandmother who was full of life and loved to be with family and friends. She loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, China, and Europe. She enjoyed the music of Frank Sinatra, Paul Newman movies, and as dancers of the jitterbug and swing, she and her husband won many championships. Also, she loved the mountains and enjoyed fishing at the cabin in Brazos. Other interests were cooking and sewing. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church for over 40 years and a member of the Elks Club Lodge. Her parents and a brother preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lt. Col. Joseph D'Angelo (Retired) of Albuquerque; two sons, Jack D'Angelo of Placerville, CO and Terry D'Angelo and wife, Luella of Centennial, CO; and three grandchildren, Jennifer D'Angelo, Keith D'Angelo and Joseph D'Angelo, all of Centennial, CO. Andres J. Garcia, 100, the last of 9 children, and a lifelong resident of Carnuel, NM, died Sunday, April 27, 2003. He is survived by his daughters, Erlinda Herrera and husband, Adelicio of Carnuel, NM and Virginia Nuanez and husband, George Sr., of Tijeras, NM; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josefita on January 25, 1989 and daughter, Rosaline. Mr. Garcia was born in Carnuel, NM. His first job was at the coalmines in Madrid where he rode his bike back and forth from Carnuel. He then went to work in Albuquerque at Gross-Kelly, a grocery distributor until he started to work for Southern Union Gas Company from which he retired. He also hauled wood and had a farm he took care of. He was a beloved father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a lifetime member of Laborer's Union #16. Mr. Garcia was a lifelong member of Holy Child Parish in Carnuel where he was an usher for many years. He was very diligent in going to the Senior Center in Tijeras everyday. On his 100th birthday in 2002, the mayor of Tijeras, Gloria Chavez and council, presented him with a plaque declaring the day, Andres J. Garcia Day in his honor. Carole Virginia Garcia, 63, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Sunday, April 27, 2003. She is survived by her husband, George Garcia; son, Charles P. Garcia and wife, Shanna; daughter, Beverly J. Autumn Golden went home on April 22, 2003. She was born in California, and spent the last 22 years in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. She is survived by her son, Tod Novak; and daughter-in-law, Dr. Donna Novak of Albuquerque; her daughter, Debra Stroud; and son-in-law, Jeff Stroud of Galt California; grandchildren, Tara, Mary and Thomas; and her mother, Bea Silva of California. Autumn was most recently employed at Bank of America in Rio Rancho. Her career was extensive with her original degree in nursing, followed by a masters in counseling and in film from the College of Santa Fe. The passing of Autumn has made many of her loved ones and relations realize once again what a totally unique and distinctive individual she was. Very much her own person, she marched through life not only to her own drummer but brought along a devoted and varied following with her everywhere she went. Autumn was a "People Person" personified. If you were her friend there was never a doubt as to her loyalty and love for you. A life-long seeker of spiritual growth with God, her sincere qualities of empathy, fairness and intellectual curiosity will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Donald Raymond Hamilton passed away at home early Friday, April 25, 2003. February 19, 1929 - April 25, 2003. Oldest son of Raymond Whittier Hamilton and Elizabeth Slattery Hamilton. Born in Denver Colorado. Moved to California when a youth, graduated from Topeka High School, Topeka, Kansas. After a two year tour of duty with U. S. Army, Don returned to Topeka and married Virginia Woodward on February 20, 1954. After graduation from Washburn University with a BA in Accounting, Don was employed by Sears Roebuck and, transferred to Santa Fe in 1964 as controller of the downtown Sears store. Don's last 25 years of employment were with the New Mexico State Corporation Commission, retiring in December 1990. The last few years he helped distribute commodities for the Senior Centers. Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia, of 49 years; four adored children, Cynthia Mae Chambers and husband, Robert of Colorado Springs, CO, Jean Elizabeth Taylor and husband, Michael of Santa Fe, Douglas Wade and wife, Libby Butler Hamilton of Las Cruces, and Stuart Raymond Hamilton and AnnMarie Lynch of Santa Fe. The lights of his life were his wife, children, their spouses and his grandchildren, Chad, Tiffany, Scott, and Kimberly Chambers, Eva, Danielle, Sarah, and Michael Taylor, and Derrek and Amelia Hamilton. He also leaves his brothers, Theodore Hamilton and wife, Patricia of Las Vegas, NV and Patrick Hamilton of Alba, TX.; and many nieces and nephews scattered all over the country. Donald was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. His passing leaves a huge hole in the lives of all who knew and loved him. He was a big man with an even bigger heart.
