Francine Elisha Nieto, 22, went home to the Lord on April 26, 2001. Francine was born July 26, 1978 to Horacio and Eloisa Lovato. She attended West Mesa High School. She is survived by her parents, Horacio and Eloisa Lovato; daughter, Monique Perchez; son, Luis Perchez, Jr.; Fianceé Luis Perchez, Sr.; sisters, Patricia Reyes, Sandra Ortega, Melissa Pino and husband, Michael, Denise Nieto and Tomas Gutierrez; grandparents, Alfonso and Mela Nieto; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be deeply missed by her loving family. Visitation for Francine will be held Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening, also in the Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwin Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Luis Perchez, Martin Perchez, Armando Perchez, Leroy Hiles, Joseph Carrillo, and Paul Gonzales. Funeral Services are in the Care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave, SW. 243-5222.

Nan Peck, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2001. Nan was born as Annie Laurie Whyte on December 6, 1915 in Glasgow, Scotland. One of five girls born to Charles Petrie Whyte and Isabella Mary Cumming Whyte, the family immigrated to the U.S. in 1926, settling in Detroit, MI. She graduated from high school and worked for ten years at the Awrey Bakery in Detroit. Nan moved to California at age 26 where she married Ralph E. Peck, an Air Force pilot, in 1943. He was lost in action that same year. Nan worked as the Brand Clerk for the New Mexico Livestock Board, dispensing brands for the state's cattle and sheep. She retired in 1980, after 25 years of service. Nan was preceded in death by three of her sisters; and her husband of 40 years, Albert Peck. She is survived by her sister, Bette Evans and husband, Leonard of Albuquerque; and numerous loving and attentive nieces and nephews and their families. Nan had many, many friends all whom loved her and will miss her. Nan's last days were spent at The Green Project (900 Espanola NE), an elder care facility for ladies, where she was treated with much respect and affection. To these dear people at The Green Project, we give our thanks. We have become a part of their family, which includes staff members and the dear ladies who remain at that facility. Their tears were shed with ours and we will never forget them. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be announced. Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Jose Reyes Perea will be celebrated this morning at 10:00 a.m. at the San Antonio Mission in Placitas. Interment will follow at the Placitas Catholic Cemetery. Funeral Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th Street NW.

Alma Lou Rutgers, 71, a resident of Tijeras since 1995, died Thursday, April 26, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roger Rutgers of Tijeras; sons, Ron Rutgers of Lynden, WA, Scott Rutgers and wife, Diane and Brent Rutgers and wife, Lisa, all of Albuquerque; daughters, Sharon Hendricks and husband, Jack of Lynden, WA, Shelli Miller of Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada, and Chris Hughes and husband, Rocky of Albuquerque; three brothers; one sister; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Rutgers moved to Washington as a youth and graduated from high school in Ferndale, WA. She was a cheerleader and a member of the Torch Club while in high school. She enjoyed sports and loved watching her children and grandchildren participate. She was a member of New Life Fellowship in Lynden, WA and Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2001, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Ken Moore officiating. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Lynden, WA.. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Saturday, April 28, 2001, 2:00 p.m. until time of service.

Revenna Soblick. There will be an unveiling of the headstone for Revenna Soblick on Sunday, April 29, 2001 11:00 a.m., at the Fellowship of the Desert section at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale SE. A reception will follow at Chabad, 4000 San Pedro NE.

Michael Yellott, 21, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, 25, 2001. He is survived by his parents, David and Carol Yellott of Albuquerque; sisters, Meagan Yellott and Mary Yellott, both of Albuquerque; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Adams of Rocky Ford, CO; paternal grandparents, David E. Yellott of Aurora, CO; aunt, Kay Romero of Pueblo, CO; uncles, Mike Osborn of Tuscon, AZ, Mark Osborn of Lamar, CO, and Stan Yellott of Aurora, CO; and aunt, Kathy Forsyth and husband, Frank of Northglen, CO. Michael was a 1998 graduate of Albuquerque Academy. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held at a later date. EUGENE 'GENE' ALVAREZ, 64, of Santa Fe died Wednesday at the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque. He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy. He worked as an insurance agent in Santa Fe for several years and most recently as a car salesman in Santa Fe and Espaņola. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Alvarez; and his wife, Vida Alvarez. He is survived by his daughter, Annette Alvarez of India; his daughter's mother, Luz Brown of Santa Fe; brothers Tommy Alvarez and wife, Eileen, of Rio Rancho, and Tony Alvarez of Santa Fe, and numerous other relatives. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Berardinelli Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Francis Cathedral. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 839 Paseo de Peralta, Ste. H, Santa Fe, NM 87501. Berardinelli Family Funeral Service.

ANNIE MARGARET BERRY, 88, of Santa Fe died Thursday. She came to Santa Fe in 1937 where she worked as a Harvey Girl at La Fonda. She married Elwood Berry in 1938 in Santa Fe. They owned and operated Berry's Super Market from 1957 to 1997. She was a founding member of the Dig-N-Hope Garden Club and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughters Peggy L. Franklin of Santa Fe, and Bonita B. Smith and husband, Marvin, of Midland, Mich.; sisters Jean Ford of Venice, Fla., and Frances Thomas of Leighton, Tenn.; grandchildren Timothy A. Franklin of Santa Fe, Kim J. Cerullo of Cheshire, Conn., Catherine E. Smith of Seattle, Anthony J. Smith of Atlanta, and Andrew M. Smith of Boulder, Colo.; great-grandchildren Matthew Joseph Cerullo and Michelle M. Smith; and numerous other relatives and friends. Her family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Berardinelli Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday also at the Berardinelli Chapel. Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Richard Bruce Adams, passed away on April 19, 2002. He was born October, 20, 1945 in Clovis, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Bernard and Margaret Adams. He is survived by his wife, Penny; his brothers, Michael B., Paul J., and Anthony F. Adams; his nephews, Richard B., Paul J., and Michael S. Adams; and his loving dog, Bodie. We love you, we miss you, and we pray for you.

Mr. Guillermo (Willie) Archuleta, 74, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 27, 2002. Services are pending and will be announced. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, in charge of arrangements, 243-7861.

Max Don Baca, passed away April 25, 2002 in Albuquerque. Max was preceded in death by his father, Baltazar Baca; and mother, Josephita Baca; sister, Dometelia Garcia; and granddaughter, Benisha Vigil. Max is survived by wife, Gloria of the family home; daughters, Renee Vigil of Albuquerque, Arlene Bryant of Albuquerque, Sharleen Granda and husband, Javier of Oviedo, Florida and Maxine Baca; sons, Baltazar James Baca of Albuquerque, Max Don Baca Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Sirilia Montoya and Husband Gasper, Mellie Gonzales and husband, Tim, Margaret Martinez and husband, Leo, Rosie Romero and husband, Herman; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Max served in World War II and was a prisoner of war. He was employed as a professional bookkeeper and income tax specialist. Max was an accomplished musician, an accordion pioneer in New Mexico, and the founder of the Max Baca y su conjunto in 1960. Services will be held at the St Theresa Little Flower Catholic Church, North 4th Street at Mildred. A Rosary will be recited on 7:00 p.m., Monday April 29, 2002. A Burial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2002 with interment following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jacob Baca, Carlos Baca, Max Chavez, Miguel Guerra, Jake Baca, and Bobby Baldonado. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Bryant, Casper Montoya Jr., Anthony Romero, Leonard Martinez, Kim Gonzales, and Juan Garcia. Josephine L. Biathrow, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 24, 2002. Services are pending at this time and will be announced at a later date. Rio Rancho funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Judy Campbell Bills, born August 19, 1922, Delight, AZ, passed away April 16, 2002 in Pine, AZ. She is survived by one brother, Boo Campbell; one daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Ken Ross, Pine, AZ; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She lived in Albuquerque 50 years prior to her death. She was a member of the Dick Bills Sandia Mountain Boys and was on several TV and radio shows with Dick and her nephew, Glen Campbell. Services were held in Delight, Arkansas.

Guadalupe "Lupe" Chavez, 81, passed away April 26, 2002 in Albuquerque. He was born June 29, 1921. Lupe is survived by his wife, Jennie Chavez; daughters, Charlotte Chavez, and Theresa Chavez; brothers-in-law, Napoleon Bourquet and wife, Amalia, Jeff Bourquet and wife, Julia; sister-in-law, Peggy Valdez. Lupe served in the US Army during World War II, where he was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart. He retired from Sandia Base in Albuquerque. Services will be at San Ignacio Catholic Church, Edith near Indian School in Martinez Town. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday April 29, 2002. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2002, with interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th NW Albuquerque, 343-8008.

Frances Gail Dickson went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 23, 2002. Frances was born in Eudora, Missouri on September 8, 1925 to Roy and Fern Dodson. She resided in Houston, Texas at the time of her death. She is survived by her father, Roy Dodson of Belen; her sister and brother-in-law, Altalee and Kenton Berry of Belen; and three loving children, John Dickson of Houston, Texas, Roy Dickson and his wife, Vicki of Lincoln, Nebraska and Suzanne Simmons and her husband, Larry of Toronto, Canada; three grandchildren, Teresa Vardeman, Troy Dickson and Tami Couchoud; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren, Zachary, and Carson. Her mother, Doris Crain preceded her in death. Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belen. She dearly loved her Lord, her family, and friends. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2002 at the First Baptist Church of Belen.

Roberta Allen Dyer, 81, a resident of Albuquerque for the past five years, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2002, Roberta came to New Mexico from Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. She loved cats, and was "owned" by many kitties during her lifetime. Roberta enjoyed gardening, bridge and in her earlier years she was active in horseback riding. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. R. Stuart Dyer in May of 1998; and one son Robert, in January of 1994. She is survived by two children, Stuart A. Williams and companion, Rhonda Roger of Highland, CA, and Gail W. Andrews and companion Gail Prosser of Placitas, NM; three grandchildren, Michelle Gonzales of San Bernadino, CA, Tracy Miesch of Magnolia, TX, and Leslie Andrews of Albuquerque, NM. A Memorial Service will be held for Roberta on Thursday, May 2, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with The Rev. Sandra S. Bess officiating. It has been suggested that contributions in Roberta's name be made to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico, Inc., 615 Virginia SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho, 892-9920.

Frances, "Fran" E. Eccleston, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 25, 2002. Private Family Services were held. Glenn Ewry, 70, a resident of Albuquerque since 1980, died Thursday, April 25, 2002. He is survived by his son, Gary Ewry and wife, Valerie of San Bernardino, CA; daughters, Rhonda Strycula and husband, Bill of Fontana, CA and Cynthia Reno and husband, Mark of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Danielle and Heidi Ewry, LeeAnn and Leslie Strycula, and Christy Kite; great-grandchildren, John Paul Kite and David Jacob Kite; brother, Don Ewry and wife, Bettie of Escondido, CA; and cousin, Bob and Martha Ewry of California. Glenn was a good husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn-Covina Hills in Covina, CA.

Sarah Lucille Fiterman, age 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 12 years died Friday, April 26, 2002. Survivors include, daughter, Penny McConnel and husband, Richard of CA; son, Robert Nichols of Albuquerque, NM; stepdaughter, Abbie Laursen and James of Miami, NM; stepson, Charles Fiterman and wife, Wha of IL; sister, Mary Mann Humphrey of OH; brother, Robert H. Vannatta of TN; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Sarah was a member of Congregation Albert, The Congregation Albert Sisterhood and Kiwanis Club of Albuquerque. Graveside Services will be 12:00 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2002 at Fairview Memorial Park 700 Yale Blvd SE with Rabbi Joseph R. Black and Cantor Jacqueline Shuchat-Marx officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Congregation Albert 3800 Louisiana NE, Albuquerque, NM. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling her arrangements.

Jeannette Kiobge Hermetet, 81, born July 7, 1920 in Chicago, a resident of Albuquerque for the last 40 years, made her transition on April 23, 2002 after a long illness. Preceded in death by her husband, Major Charles M. Hermetet and daughter, Kathleen Hughes. She is survived by her sons, Charles E. Hermetet of Palm Springs, California, Michael J. Hermetet of Albuquerque and daughter, Anne Marie C. Lax. Jeannette also leaves behind grandchildren, Benjamin Lax and Amanda Lax of Edgewood; grandsons, Jeffrey Hughes, Robert Hughes, Peter Hughes and Daniel Hughes of New York along with three great-grandchildren. She leaves her beloved sisters, Marie Schmitt of Arcadia, California and Anita Davis of Florida. Cremation has already taken place, Memorial Services pending. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions with your heart to your favorite charity.

Dorothy E. King, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Brooksene Thompson and husband, Frank; son, Leon E. King and wife, Patricia, all of Albuquerque; grandsons, Joe King and wife Jody of Lawrence, KS and Lenny 'Brooks' King of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Stacy King-Lopez and husband Steve of Colorado Springs, CO, Michelle Thompson-Loyd and husband, Tony, and Trina Collums and husband, Jerry, all of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Wellsley and Jason Loyd, Whitney, Chelsea, and Chad Collums, Alex, Eric, and Benny King, Dannielle and Ashley Lopez, and Victoria Monks-King; and her loving cat, 'BB'. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brooks Lee King, whom she married in 1936. Dorothy was a graduate of Vaughn High School. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Services will be held Monday, April 29, 2002, at 10:30 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3715 Silver Ave SE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and 'GG'. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Alzheimers Association, 8100 Mountain Rd. NE, Suite 102, 87110 or to the New Mexico Boy and Girls Ranch, 6209 Hendrix NE, 87110. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Sunday, April 28, 2002, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Babs McCracken, 91, of Albuquerque passed away April 20, 2002. She is survived by her two sons. Cremation arrangements by the Sunrise Society of NM, 891-8200.
