A. Wesley Tiley, born in Albuquerque on August 3, 1938 died March 1, 2002. He leaves behind his loving family and friends. Tom Besson wrote of Wes with these words, Wes Tiley could be described as a man's man. If you saw him through the eyes of a child, you would probably see the Marlboro man. He was rugged and hard working, the kind of man little boys dream of growing up and becoming. However, other men also respected him, not for the reasons their peers respect most men, but for the reasons we should respect a man; even though reasons may not be the popular ones today. Wes was respected because he was honest and had integrity. His word meant something, and his handshake meant more than most legal contracts. I can't remember ever seeing Wes mad or angry. I rarely heard him say anything bad about someone else, and don't think he ever met a stranger. With Wes, what you saw was what you got, and what you got was the real thing. If Wes won the lottery, he would share it with his family and friends. He dressed up as Santa Claus for years, just because he loved kids. If we were all a little more like Wes, the world would be a better place. Cremation has taken place, and the family will scatter Wess cremains.
