Mrs. Viola Felix, 61, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 1, 2001. Mrs. Felix is survived by her loving daughter, Arlene Gonzales and husband, Melvin Jr.; five grandchildren, Jerome, Felicia, Peter, James, Dominique; her mother, Elvira Chavez; three sisters, Aggie Baker, Wakefield, Ma., Deluvina Martinez and husband, Alfred, Dorothy Sena and husband, Paul; a special nephew Randy Chavez; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Felix was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation for Mrs. Felix will be Tuesday evening after 6:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Wednesday morning after 8:30 at Holy Family Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 by Father Viera. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Jerome Gonzales, Melvin Gonzales, Randy Chavez, Michael Atler, Manuel Sedillo and Anton Aguilar. Honorary will be, Leo Chavez, Joshua Thais, Adam Romero and Alfred Martinez. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.

Missionary Nettie B. Floyd passed on Saturday, September 29, 2001 at a local hospital. Missionary Floyd was born December 17, 1930 in Tyler, TX, and was a faithful and active member of The Church of the Living God. Missionary Floyd was married to Elder Levi Floyd on the 15th of July 1954. To that union five children were born, three girls and two boys. Nettie is survived by her husband; five children; five grandchildren; one sister, and many other family, friends and neighbors who loved and will miss her greatly. A visitation will be held in the chapel of Direct Funeral Services on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services will be held at The Church of the Living God, 382 58th St. NW, on Thursday, October 4, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Pajarito Cemetery. Joan Anne Fullerton of Denver, CO died of natural causes on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. She was 77. The daughter, of Rudolph Marx & Carolyn Brulard, she was born June 14, 1924 in Albuquerque. She married Jack D. Fullerton and resided in Kansas City, Missouri for 25 years, where she worked as an accountant for the Internal Revenue Service. After her divorce, she relocated to Denver, CO in 1981. Survivors include her three daughters, Teresa Dunwell of Louisville, CO, Janet Fullerton of Denver, Co. and Vicki Baiun of Houston, TX. Three granddaughters. She was preceded in death by one grandson. A Memorial Service is to be held on the Mountains of Rocky Mountain National Park. Clarke Glover, 39, died on Sunday, September 30, 2001 after a 3 year battle with cancer. Clarke is survived by his wife, Yolanda; children, Alexander and Nichole Glover of Albuquerque, and Anthony Salazar of Alamogordo, NM; mother, Marsha Glover; brother, Stuart Glover, both of Albuquerque; grandmothers, Stella Baker of Alexandria, VA and Lib Talley of Alamogordo; mother-in-law, Emma Sanchez; sister-in-law, Sylvia Marquez; brother-in-law, Frank Sanchez, all of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Glover, of Alamogordo. He was always willing to give a helping hand and open his heart to those who needed it. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Selina Gonzales, age 88, a resident of Raton, NM for 41 years died Oct 1, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by one daughter, Dolores Reales and husband, Pasqual of Albuquerque, NM; three sons, Eddie T. Gonzales and wife, Sharon B. of Albuquerque, NM, Christopher Robert Gonzales and Richard J. Gonzales both of Raton, NM; one sister, Luisa, Armijo of Pecos, NM; one brother, Nick Armijo of Glorieta, NM; eight grandchildren, Charlene K. Riali, Michael Riali, Susan C. Riali, Paula J. Riali, Brett Robbins, Chris Gonzales and Danny Gonzales; four great-grandchildren Nicholas C. Riali, Lauren R. Gonzales, Ashley Barron and Brittney Robbins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Albino Gonzales, March of 1994. Selina was a Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and devoted her life to Christ and her family. She was a member of St. Joseph's and St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Raton, NM and lived in Raton, New Mexico since 1941. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a charity of your choice. The Rosary will be recited Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 100 Coal Ave. S.E. The Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Charles Borromero Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. S.E. The arrangements for Selina Gonzales are under the direction of Strong-Thorne Mortuary.

Dr. Lawrence Green, 81, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Nina Green of the family home and three daughters, Lavenial Ballinger and husband, Curtis, LoRee Simpson, Sunny Stefanov and husband, Mark, all of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Meredith Austin, Reveille Ballinger, Tim Carmichael, Kristin Griffing, Jeremy Carmichael, and Karin Burton; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Green, Sidney A. Green, and Dale S. Green; and four sisters, Frances Owens, Bernice Green, Edna Mick, and Helen Botkin; and a host of loving friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lavada (Bonnie) Kenny and a brother, Herman Green. Dr. Green was called into the ministry as a young man and served not only in pastoral ministry for 65 years, but in administrative and educational capacities as well. Over 40 years ago, God gave Dr. Green a vision for an interdenominational church in Albuquerque, which he established with the help of his family. Ten years later the vision was expanded to include a Drive-in ministry at the old Duke City Drive-In. Pastor Green will be remembered in the church as a spiritual mentor to many people, a number of whom went on to be pastors, missionaries or leaders in Christian service. He will be remembered by his family and friends as an example of strength, gentleness, generosity, and love. Daniel R. Lambert, 60, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 30, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Donna Lambert of the family home; daughters, Karlena Beeson and husband, Roy, of Carlsbad, NM, Darla Streety and husband, Rick, of Levelland, TX, Danette Tanner and husband, Pete, of Carlsbad, NM; son, Dale Lambert and wife, Jodie, of Carlsbad, NM; nine grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; sister, Terry Rea of Carlsbad, NM, brother, Paul Lambert of CO, sister Eva Pettes of Carlsbad, NM, brother, Morris W. Pasquale A. Liguori, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, died Sunday, September 30, 2001. He is survived by his sons, Gerard Liguori and Michael Liguori and wife, Ellen, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Patricia M. Liguori, of Carlsbad; brothers, Armond Liguori and wife, Mary, of Lindenhurst, New York, Vincent Liguori and wife, Eileen, of East Islip, New York; sister Emily Ketcher and husband, Gene, of Elmont, New York; nephew, Jerry Liguori of Citrus Heights, California; grandchildren, Matthew Liguori, Missy Clibon and husband, Tony, Douglas Liguori and wife, Janne, and Gina Mosavi and husband, Mohamad; and great-grandchildren, Sarah Clibon, Melinda Clibon, Erin Liguori, Paymon Mosavi, Pegga Mosavi, and Paresa Mosavi. Mr. Liguori was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Helen. He was one of the founding fathers of Holy Ghost Church and a World War II army veteran. Pat was a member of Seliac Support Group of Albuquerque, the Brooklyn Tech Alumni Association of Albuquerque and also the Thunderbird Retirement Club of Sandia Labs. Our beloved Bennie A. Montoya went peacefully to be with our Lord on September 30, 2001. His son, David preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha; four children and their spouses, Paul and Lynn Montoya, Elaine Montoya and Becky Padilla, Melinda and Curtis Ralston, Lisa and Jim Ellis; and eight grandchildren. Alma Marie Pinkoczi, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, passed away September 23, 2001. She is survived by her son, Steve Pinkoczi and wife, Katy of Cathedral City, CA and daughter, Alma Falgin of California. At Alma's request, cremation has taken place and services will not be held.

Loretha P. Robertson, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died on Friday, September 28, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Dean; sons, Randy Lee Robertson and Rockland Dale Robertson of Fresno, CA; daughter, Dana Darlene Ingram-Chavez and husband, David, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Ronald Cade of Las Vegas, NV, Richard Cade of Elko, NV, Wendy Robertson of Fresno, CA, Kamala Ingram-Bustos of Albuquerque, and Patrick Hockaday of Austin, TX. Loretha was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Doana Ingram-Hockaday of Austin, TX. Trinidad `Trini' Bustos, 78, of Santa Cruz died Sunday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Genara Valdez; a brother, Ignacio Valdez; a sister, Norbeta Salazar; an aunt, Feliz Lujan; a niece, Jeanette Ortiz and an uncle, Octavio Martinez. She is survived by her sons, Don Bustos and wife Blanca, Abran Bustos and wife Marilyn, David Bustos and wife Cathy and Robert Bustos, all of Santa Cruz; eight grandchildren, Tania and Leon Bustos, Abran Bustos Jr., Anita and Andres Bustos, Christine Bustos, Emilio Bustos and Ana Karina Vivar; two great-grandchildren, Robert Bustos and Angelo Garcia; a sister, Genevieve Ortiz of Santa Cruz; a brother, Pablo Valdez and wife Agneda of Santa Cruz; and numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Visitation is scheduled for 5 p.m. today, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada. Stella U. Casados, 86, of Ensenada died Friday. She had been an elementary school teacher with the Chama Independent School District for 37 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio A. Casados, and two sisters, Filomena De Herrera and Consuelo Casias. She is survived by her five children, Tony Casados Jr. and wife Aurora; Ernestine C. Garcia and husband Pete, Carlos Casados and wife Teresa Lea; Lucy Casados; and Pedro Eloy Casados and wife Norma Jean, all of Ensenada; grandchildren, Anthony Casados and wife Trish; Cynthia Casados Martinez and Floyd; Pete Garcia Jr.; Jayme Casados Macias and husband Jim; Jodi Casados Maldonado and husband John Paul; Dominic Casados; and Jeremy Casados; four great-grandchildren, Tommy, Carlos, Cadie and Cody Casados; a sister, Luisita Abeyta and husband Greg of Denver; an aunt, Eulogia Olivas of Ogden, Utah; her care-giver Santa Castillo and daughter Anahi; and numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Elias Gallegos, 65, of Guachupange died Friday following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by by his parents, Elias and Haidi Gallegos; and two brothers, Henry and Julian Gonzales. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Julia Gallegos of the home; three sons, Tim Gallegos of Dallas and Eli Gallegos and Andrew Gallegos, both of Guachupange; a grandson, Andrew Gallegos Jr. of Guachupange; sister Charlette Miera and husband Orlando of Espaņola; sisters-in-law Rosina Montoya and husband Rubel of Espaņola and Donna Espinoza and husband Art of Tierra Amarilla; borther-in-law, Horace Garcia and wife Opal of Albuquerque; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Visitation and rosary were held Sunday at Block-Salazar Morturary, and a funeral mass was held Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Espaņola. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Salomon L. Gonzales, 72, a lifelong resident of the Pecos-Glorieta area, died Sunday. He was postmaster in Glorieta for 30 years and also owned a mercantile store there for 31 years. He and his wife Evangelina retired in 1989. He was preceded in death by his father, Salomon Gonzales Sr. and a brother, Juanito Gonzales. He is survived by his wife, Evangelina 'Vangie' Garcia-Gonzales; his mother, Victoriana Gonzales; his children, Mary Helen G. Ortiz and husband Armando, Leroy Gonzales and wife Rosemary, Viola Avant and husband Mark of Oklahoma, Carolyn Tanuz and husband James and Annabelle Rodriguez; grandchildren Michelle Herrera, Amanda Ortiz, Victoria Gonzales, Diego Gonzalez, Ayla Avant, Faron Gonzales and fiancee Liz Lucero, Paula Rodriguez, Marissa Rodriguez, James Roybal Jr., Carmelita Roybal and Tomas Salomon Tanuz. Luisa O. Lopez, 85, of Penasco died Sept. 26 in Albuquerque. She was born on Jan. 9, 1916 to Alfredo and Euphemia Ortega in Penasco. She was a member of the St. Anthony parish in Penasco and of the Carmelitas. She was a devoted mother and loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolfo Lopez; son Alfredo Lopez and a grandson, Danny Lopez. She is survived by her sons, Isaac Lopez and wife Anna and Ernesto Lopez and wife Elizabeth; daughters Pauline Mascarenas and husband George, Gloria Contreras and husband Pete, Rose Clark and husband Dan and Patricia Sacoman and husband Gene; a son, Chester Lopez and wife Novelta; sisters Teresa Archuleta and Augustine Ortega; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Penasco. Burial followed at Santa Barbara Cemetery in Penasco. Carolina Romero, 68, a lifelong resident of Dixon, died Friday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elias Romero; a son, Gerald Romero and an infant son, Elias Romero Jr. She is survived by four children, Yolanda Jaramillo and husband Nick of Las Vegas, N.M.; Levi Romero and wife Jeana of Albuquerque; Geronimo Romero of Dixon and Jeffy Romero of Las Vegas, N.M.; seven grandchildren, Ane, Elias, Sonia, Mercedes, Marisa, Savana and Primavera; a brother, Celestino Duran and wife Priscilla of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Pelegrina Martinez of La Villita; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Known as Chuy, she was born in 1921 and was very well know for her cooking abilities. She was a chef for many years in Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adan Najera and Ursula Najera Perez; a sister, Helen Perez; brothers, Armando and Alfonso Najera; sons Martin and Mario Guillen; and her husband, Blas Sanchez Jr. She is survived by Robert A. Guillen and wife Fabiola, Michael A. Guillen and wife Sharon, Martha Guillen and Nick Guillen; a sister, Alicia Sanchez; grandchildren, Martin Guillen and wife Virginia, Matias Guillen and wife Becky, Miguel Guillen, Francine Guillen, Jason Guillen, Robert A. Guillen Jr. and wife Shannon, Yvette Sanchez and husband Juan, Lee Guillen and wife Kelly, Fabian Guillen and wife Renee and Linda Guillen; great-grandchildren Gabriel Guillen, Taylor Guillen, Tomas Guillen, Uriah Sanchez, Magdalena Guillen and Tobias Guillen; special cousins Aurora (Bolla) Puente and Oscar and Margie Zuloaga; very special daughter-in-law, Maggie Guillen Escobar and daughter Mari; many other cousins, nieces and nephews; and friends at BPOE No. 460 in Santa Fe and BPOE No. 2090 in Show Low, Ariz. Rubin Barrs Jr., age 69, and an Albuquerque resident of 40 years died September 29, 2002. Survivors include his sister, Edna L. Smith of Albuquerque; six sisters in-law; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Rubin retired from Yellow Freight in 2000 after 27 years of service and was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Viewing and visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2002 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2002 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 315 53rd St. SW with Rev. Alonzo Twitty Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
