HORACIO A. "JERRY" QUINTANA, 76, of the upper San Pedro area of Española died Sept. 28, 2005, after a long illness.
He retired as a municipal employee with the city of Española and was an active parishioner at La Iglesia De La Santa Cruz De La Canada, was a member of RSVP Santa Cruz Senior Center, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Fraternal Order of Eagles and The American Legion. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, having served in Europe, Phillipines and Japan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Ignacita Quintana; and brothers, Jose, Ben, Celestino and Ross Quintana.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie and Dr. Dale Harrier of Española; companion, Mary Martinez of Santa Cruz; four grandchildren: brothers, Pete Quintana and wife Dora, Nefie Quintana and wife Gloria, all of Albuquerque, Kino Quintana and wife Pauline of La Mesilla; sister, Minnie Quintana of San Pedro; and many other relatives.
A public visitation will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. today in the chapel at Block-Salazar Mortuary, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at La Iglesia De La Santa Cruz De La Cañada with burial to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery.

ROBERT "ROBBY" SANCHEZ JR., 28, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Sept. 27, 2005.
He was born in Las Vegas, N.M., to Bobby Sanchez and Shirley Dimas. He was married to Angel Gomez on March 13, 2005, in Las Vegas, N.M. He was employed for several years as a mechanic with Garcia Tires. He loved hunting, fishing, playing pool, cruising and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Angel Sanchez; daughters, Angelina Sanchez and Briana Sanchez, all of the family home in Las Vegas, N.M.; pet dog, Raider Sanchez of the family home; father, Bobby Sanchez and girlfriend Janet of Las Vegas, N.M.; mother, Shirley Dimas of Las Vegas, N.M.; sister and brother, Ruby Sanchez and Jeffrey Sanchez, both of Las Vegas, N.M.; stepfather, Clyde Sanchez and mother-in-law, Maria Gomez; both of Las Vegas, N.M.; father-in-law, Albert Gomez of Pojoaque; and many other relatives and friends.

IVAN G. ABEYTA, 40, of Arroyo Hondo died Aug. 16. He was the owner and operator of IMA Mechanical. He graduated from Taos High School in 1982.
He is survived by his wife, Mary P. Abeyta; children, Joseph, Adam and Janelle Gonzales, Daniel Maestas, and Justin Phillippi Abeyta; three grandchildren; parents, Felipe Abeyta and Bernadette Abeyta; brother, Mark Abeyta; sisters, Erica Jeantette (Eric) and Jessica Abeyta; and many other relatives and friends.

ANTONIO "TONY" CRESPIN, 55, of Las Vegas, N.M. died Aug. 12 in Albuquerque.
He was born in Las Vegas, N.M., to the late Luis Crespin and Florencia Romero Crespin. He was a resident of Albuquerque for the past two years. A lifelong Catholic, he attended Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, N.M.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Florencia Crespin; and brothers Frank Crespin, Johnny Crespin and Alonzo Crespin.
He is survived by his brothers Leo Crespin and wife Priscilla and Henry Crespin and companion Josie Martinez, all of Las Vegas, N.M., sisters, Mary Helen Crespin and companion Mike Montoya of Albuquerque and Tina Crespin of Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends.

JOHN JOSEPH RYAN, 89, of Santa Fe died Aug. 15.
He was born in Hoboken, N.J., to William Michael Ryan and Margaret Monteque-Ryan. After World War II, he moved to Santa Fe and married the love of his life. He started working as a cab driver, and then worked for Coca-Cola. He worked as a credit manager for PNM for 24 years until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, M. Patricia "Pat" Walsh-Ryan; father, William Michael Ryan; mother, Margaret Monteque-Ryan; brother, William "Bill" Michael Ryan II; and sisters, Margaret "Margie" and Florence.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila J. Ryan of Farmington; two grandchildren; special niece, Darlene "Dee-Dee" Ryan-Lopez and husband Richard A. Lopez; and many other relatives.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
