MARIA DOLORES "LOLA" OCANA, 93, of El Rito died September 24, 2005 following a lengthy illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Ocaña; son, Cristobal Ocaña; parents, Nicolas and Teresita Archuleta; sisters, Gorgonia Alire, Carlota Gonzales, Getrudes Gonzales, Carmen Garcia, Reyes Luna and Rosenda Trujillo; and brothers, Jose Archuleta and Agapito Archuleta. She is survived by her children, Feliberto Ocaña, Joe E. Ocaña and wife Maria, and Lizandro Ocaña and wife Maybel; grandchildren raised by her, Tommy Ocaña and wife Sylvia of El Rito, Berlinda Valdez and husband Ernest of Petaca, and JoAnn Marie Ocaña of El Rito; 16 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation is being planned. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today, Sept. 27 at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the same church with burial to follow in the El Rito Town Cemetery.

CRISOFORA "POPOLO" G. QUINTANA, 89, of Taos died September 24, 2005.
He retired as a city planner from the city of Los Angeles and also from the Taos County Planning Department. He served in the Army during World War II, was a member of the Eagles and was widely known as a good guy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Eloisa Quintana; brother, Edmundo Quintana; sister, Stella Sisneros; sons, Ferdie and Steve Quintana; and daughter, Marlou Quintana.
He is survived by his wife, Ada; son, Dr. Paul Quintana (Lee) of Los Gatos, Calif.; five grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today, Sept. 27 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Taos. A public viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the Rivera Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 at Our Lady of Guadalupe followed by burial at the Sierra Vista Cemetery.

SISTA (LEYBA) SAIZ, 87, of Santa Fe died September 23, 2005.
She was born in Leyba to Paublita Montoya-Leyba and Alberto Leyba. She married Fernando Saiz of Tesuque in 1942. She was employed by St. Vincent's Hospital for 35 years in the lab until her retirement. She was a church supporter and volunteer. She was humorous, straightforward and witty. Her caring ways showed a great compassion for people.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Fernando Saiz; parents, Paublita Montoya-Leyba and Alberto Leyba; sister, Virginia Leyba; and brother, Celso Leyba.
She is survived by her children, Rita Martinez, Joe Saiz and wife Susie, Vicky Martinez, Tommy Saiz, Fernando Saiz and wife Judy, Mary Peters and husband Kenneth, Jessie Romero, Frank Saiz and wife Candy, Paul Saiz, and Lucy Archuleta and husband Pedro; 38 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. today, Sept. 27 at Berardinelli Family Chapel followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 at St. Anne's Catholic Church with burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Rosario Cemetery.

CORINA ALBERTA SUAZO, 86, of Taos died September 24, 2005.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abiguel Suazo; son, Celso Suazo; and brother, Willie Jaramillo.
She is survived by her children, Teodorita Archuleta (Walter) of Monte Vista, Colo., Julian Suazo (Emily) of Santa Fe, Olivia Padilla (George) of Los Lunas, Magdalena Romero (Blas) of Ranchos de Taos, Esmeralda Montoya (Pete) of Rio Rancho, and Joe Suazo (Loretta), Chris Suazo and Cheryl Suazo (Eddie), all of Taos; sisters, Frances Romero (Eugenio) of Mintern, Colo., and Dorothy Romero (Jimmy) of Llano Quemado; brother, Frank Romero (Alma) of Okla.; 22 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Rosary was recited on Sept. 25 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Mass was celebrated Sept. 26 at the same church with burial at the Pilar Cemetery.

JOSEPH MARVIN TENORIO, 40, of Ohkay Owinge, or San Juan Pueblo, died unexpectedly September 24, 2005.
Joseph was a member of the First Indian Baptist Church in Española. He loved the Lord and served him faithfully and would also pray for families of his church. He was a devoted father who loved to spend time with his children.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Cata.
He is survived by his daughter, Martha Tenorio of San Juan Pueblo; sons, Brandon "B.J." Tenorio and Bryan Edmonds, both of Alcalde; stepdaughter, Brittany Edmonds of Alcalde; fiancee, Regina Edmonds of Alcalde; parents, Lloyd and Margaret Tenorio of San Felipe Pueblo; brothers and sisters, Renee Trujillo of Albuquerque, Gary Tenorio of San Felipe Pueblo, Genelle Quintana of Albuquerque and Rochelle Robertson of South Dakota; and many other relatives and friends.

GRACE AGNES WATSON, 89, of Taos died September 26, 2005 after a short illness.
She was born in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of William Long, born in England and Jennie Mills of Canada. "Graca" loved her family, playing bridge, knitting, doing crosswords and collecting shoes. The family had gathered in Taos in early September for a time of meeting new great-grandchildren and visiting. It was a wonderful, loving reunion for Grace and the family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Watson; sister, Jacqueline; son, David Watson; and daughter, Benita Watson.
She is survived by her sons, Eric Lambert (Nita Murphy) of Taos and Rupert Watson (Judy) of Arizona, four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

SEFERINO GURULE, 71, of Cañoncito died Sept. 28, 2005, after a long battle with cancer.
