ALONZO S. JIMENEZ, 56, of Santa Fe died Monday.
He is survived by his children, Lucia Jimenez and companion Jose Vasquez and Jovita Campbell and husband Tom of Scottsdale Ariz.; one grandson; mother, Lucy Jimenez of Fremont, Calif.; brothers, Anthony Jimenez and wife Lucia of Santa Fe and Marcus Osmar of Fremont Calif.; former wife, Charlotte Ortega of Santa Fe; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of La Paloma Funeral Home with a memorial service to start at 6 p.m. and rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Cremation will follow services.

J.R. MCDANIEL, 86, of Espaņola died Sunday after a short illness.
He was a trained pilot during World War II. Some may remember him as the Espaņola fire chief for most of the 1950s. He opened, owned and operated Tewa Lanes in Espaņola for many years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and had a passion for traveling through Alaska. He was an active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Wilda McDaniel; and brother, Donnell McDaniel.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta McDaniel of Espaņola; son, James McDaniel and wife Lovina of Arizona; sister, Betty Lujan of Santa Fe; three grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

TERRY BENAVIDEZ, 49, of Cuyamungue died unexpectedly Wednesday.

MARIA INEZ GARCIA, 84, of Espaņola died Tuesday after a short illness.
She was a former resident of Ojo Caliente. She was a homemaker and the temple of the family's lives. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery and was an avid sports fan. She was very kind hearted and generous, and welcomed everyone into her home. Her wisdom and advice was valued by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Onesimo and Maria Roza Ortega; husband, Pablo L. Garcia; children, Tomas, Diego "Willie", Pablo Jr. Leroy, and Larry Garcia; sisters, Nieve Fernandez and Candelaria Garcia; and brothers, Carlos and Preceliano Gallegos.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Delgado-Johnson and husband Howard of Virginia; stepmother, Marinez Ortega of Espaņola; brother, Sebedello Ortega of El Duende; sisters, Santanita Esquibel and husband Joe of Albuquerque and Sally Gurule of Espaņola; and many other relatives and friends.

NONA MOORE LIZUT, 81, of Albuquerque died Wednesday.
She was the born to Charley "Doc" Moore and Alba Smith in Quay. Her parents homesteaded in Dobson in 1919 and moved to Quay in 1921. She graduated from Tucumcari High School, then moved to Santa Fe, and married Charles Price Jr. in 1944. They moved to Santa Fe in 1950 where she worked for the state Health Department. She retired in 1985. She was married to her first husband until his death in 1959. She later married Bill Lizut, whom she was with until his death in 2004. They kept busy before and after their retirement as square dancers, round dancers and ballroom dancers.
She is survived by her sister, Ruby Smith of Houston; son, Charles Price and wife Kate Hollander of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and stepson, Roger Lizut and wife Sandra of Seattle; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. at McGee Memorial Chapel. A private burial ceremony will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. ORALIA M. ROMERO, 82, of El Valle died Thursday following a short illness.
She was a loving and caring person toward friends, family and neighbors. She enjoyed participating at the senior center in Chamisal and also loved to cook, bake and can. Her hobbies included gardening and arts and crafts. She loved flowers and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Manuel Lovato; infant son, Raymond Romero; brothers, David, Juan B. and Roberto Lovato; and sisters, Felonis Romero and Eutilia Casados.
She is survived by her husband, George Romero Sr. of El Valle; children, Atanacio E. Romero and wife Flora of Silver City, Felix E. Romero and wife Katherin of Belen, George Romero Jr. and wife Debbie of El Valle, Juanita Lopez of Espaņola; 12 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. A second rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the San Miguel Catholic Church in El Valle.
