THELMA L. COLLINS, 67, of Lindrith died Saturday, Feb. 26 in Los Alamos.
She was a former dispatcher with the Cuba Police Department.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Collins; sons, Ronnie Collins and Roy Jay Collins; parents, Estes and Zula Hardy; and brother, Truett Hardy.
She is survived by her sons, Truett Ray Collins and wife Cecilia of Espaņola and Hal Dean Collins and wife Glenda of Farmington; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Smith of Lindrith; and many other relatives.
Services have taken place with burial at the Lindrith Community Cemetery.

ORLANDO J. GARCIA, 56, of Velarde died Friday, Feb. 25 after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe O. Garcia, and brother, John Garcia.
He was a Vietnam veteran and received the Army Commendation Medal.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Garcia of Albuquerque; mother, Rosina Garcia of Velarde; brothers, Joseph Garcia and wife, Shirley; Anthony Garcia and wife, Debbie, and Donald Garcia, all of Albuquerque; sisters, Frances Martinez of Denver and Antoinette Creel and husband, Gary, of Albuquerque; and many other relatives and friends.

MARJORIE RICHERSON JOHNSON, 75, of Santa Fe died Friday after a long illness.
She was born in Shamrock, Texas, the daughter of Arthur Schuyler Richerson and Evelyn Foote Richerson. In 1950 she received her degree in secondary education and speech from the University of New Mexico and was married in September of that year. For the next several years she practiced in her chosen field and in 1969 received a master's degree in speech and language pathology from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. She pursued her love of art and art history and attended Illinois State University for four years. At the time of her husband's retirement in 1990, they returned from Illinois to her beloved mountains in Santa Fe where she spent many happy hours in her art studio. She was a warm and loving wife and mother. She had a sense of style, humor, creativity, kindness and passion for people and the arts.
She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Johnson; sister, Diane Richerson; children, Keri L. Durfee of Santa Fe, Karma L. Denyer of San Leandro, Calif., Lindsay R. Johnson of Peoria, Il., Melissa E. Lauritson of Normal, Il.; and six grandchildren.
A celebration honoring her life and memorial service for friends and family will be held at 1 p.m. March 12 at Berardinelli Family Chapel in Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The Hospice Center or Friendship Club, both of Santa Fe.

RHONDA LUECK, 85, of Santa Fe died Sunday, Feb. 27.
Rhoda Eileen Sporleder Lueck was born in Williams, Mont., to Aaron Sporleder and Harriet Ward. She was a lifetime member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority at the University of Montana. She worked as a secretary in Colorado when her husband was stationed there prior to World War II. She moved to Santa Fe in 1974. She was an active board member for many years with the Republican Women's Club. She was a long time member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Faith. She was an active member of Bien Venidos Chamber of Commerce and she helped organize the annual Lions Club pancake breakfast. She worked throughout her life at the voting booths and was a member of the University Women and the Flower Club.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brother, Gerald Sporleder; and husband, William S. Lueck of Billings, Mont.
She is survived by her son, Kerry Lueck and wife, Rochelle, of Santa Fe; daughter Sharon Kay Cunningham and husband, Corum, Edward Cunningham of Butte, Mont.; two grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

FRANK V. ORTIZ JR, 78, of Santa Fe died Sunday, Feb. 27.
He was a former United States Ambassador.

ELOY QUINTANA, 72, of El Prado died Sunday, Feb. 27.
He worked for Holy Cross Hospital for 47 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eliza Salazar.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Quintana; children, Eloy Quintana Jr., Marygrace Hammer, Sylvia Quintana and husband Jose, all of Taos; three grandchildren; brother and sisters, Sam Quintana, Dolores Baca and husband, Juan; Mercy Trujillo and husband, Ray; Angie Gonzales; and many other relatives.

MILDRED REICH, 84, of Santa Fe died Sunday after a long illness.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Pauline (Greene) and Benjamin Kaminsky. She was a graduate of New York's Hunter College where she earned a degree in social work. She was employed as a substitute teacher and was a frequent volunteer for soup kitchens, the New York Marathon and other philanthropic causes. She was a staunch advocate for human rights and a member of the Sunnyside Jewish Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris P. Reich, and brother, Gilbert Kaminsky.
She is survived by her son, Marvin Reich; daughter, Beth Siler and husband Kip; two grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
