JUAN RICARDO CRESPIN, 60, of Las Vegas, N.M. died Friday after a brief illness.
He was born in Las Vegas, N.M. to the late Edwardo Crespin and Refugio Gold. He was married to Darlene Gold in Las Vegas, N.M. in 1979. He retired in 1998 from the Crespin Paving and Concrete Company where he was employed as a concrete finisher. He loved to read the Bible and had frequent Bible studies at his home. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and brothers at the ranch. He enjoyed carpentry and walking. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwardo Crespin and Refugio Gold Crespin; sister, Antonia Crespin; and brother, Edward Crespin.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Crespin of Las Vegas, N.M.; children, Shannon Crespin of Denver, Juan R. Crespin II and fiancee Justina Ajuziem of Las Vegas, Nev. and Ruby Crespin of Las Vegas, N.M.; two grandchildren; sisters, Rosie Lovato of Denver, Tessie Garcia and husband Joe of Las Vegas, N.M., and Mary Louise Samaniego and husband Bobby of Iowa; brothers, Ignacio Crespin and wife Mela and Arthur Crespin and wife Priscilla, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; special nephew, Paul Crespin and wife Yolanda of Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the same church with burial to follow at San Jose Cemetery.

ARTHUR HENRY LUSSOW, JR., 50, of El Valle area died Sunday.
He was born in Los Angeles to Arthur Henry Lussow, Sr. and Betty Lamoreaux. He was married in Las Vegas, Nev. in 1981 to Rebecca Reynoso. He was a former resident of Las Vegas, N.M. He enjoyed talking and visiting with people. He also enjoyed working on his ranch and being outdoors, art work and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Henry Lussow, Sr.; and son, Arthur Henry Lussow, III.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lussow of the family home in El Valle; children, Eric Lussow, Joseph Lussow, Desirae Lussow and Luke Lussow, all of El Valle; mother, Betty Lussow of Roswell; brothers and sister, Walter Lussow of Hobbs, Curtis Lussow of Arizona and Darlene Martinez and husband Marcial of Roswell; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Las Vegas Christian Center, 7th Street and Legion Drive, Las Vegas, N.M. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at South Park Cemetery in Roswell.

ALBERTO ROMERO SR., 84, of Pilar died unexpectedly Monday.
He worked for a steel mill in Pueblo, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elifido and Marina Romero; sister, Edelia Archuleta; son, Alberto Romero Jr.; and daughter, LornaMae Romero.
He is survived by his wife, Adela Romero of Pilar; daughters, Cora Vigil and husband Eloy of Pilar, Marcella Romero of Albuquerque; and two grandchildren.

AUGUSTIN B. BAROS SR., 83, of Santa Fe died Sunday after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Baros; and brother, Leonard Duran.
He was born in Santa Fe, the son of Jose Baros and Delfina Williams. He married Mary Rosina Baros in Santa Fe in 1942. He retired after 31 years of service with the Public Service Company of New Mexico. He was an active member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church, the VFW and the Eagles. He was a World War II veteran and earned the American Theatre Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, two Bronze Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star and a World War II Victory Medal. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing cards.
He is survived by his sons, Augustine (Gus) Baros Jr. and wife, Dora; John Pete Baros; Joseph Baros and wife, Lori; and George Baros and wife, Nancy; daughters, Theresa Baros, Margaret Jaramillo and husband, Andrew; granddaughter he helped raise, Andrea Jaramillo; 15 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
