CURRENT, KENNETH "KEN", 84, of Newton, died Wednesday, March 23, after a long illness. Born in Andover Twp., he was lifelong resident of Sussex County. Ken was a heavy equipment operator with the county of Sussex DPW with 33 service of service, retiring in 1976. Ken was a veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, "Millie; " his son, Charles; his parents, Charles and Carrie Washer Current. He was the beloved brother of 13 brothers and two sisters. His only surviving brother Wilson of Andover Twp.; his children, George and wife, Linda, Joseph and wife, Donna, Thomas and wife, Barbara Current. Daughter Linda and husband, Thomas D'Agostino, daughter-in-law Joan, seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Newton First Aid Squad, P.O. COOKE, DONALD A., 67, of Troy, Pa., passed away at home on Wednesday, May 4, 2005. He was born in Blairstown, N.J. on March 28, 1938, the son of Walter and Ruth Cooke. Donald was a self-employed farmer, graduated from Blairstown High School, was a member of the East Troy Baptist Church, enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing, joked around a lot and was a loving father and grandfather. Donald is survived by sons, Jeffrey D. (Paula) Cooke of Port Richey, Fla., Stephen P. (Trena Jennings) Cooke of East Troy, Pa.; daughters, Cynthia A.C. Bruce of Troy and Kristen C. (Daniel) Van Why of Bushkill, Pa; brother, Robert Cooke of Virginia; sisters, Adonis Dean and Elizabeth Shotwell, both of Blairstown; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia A. (Fish) Cooke and a brother, Edward Cooke.
