Vezzosi, Jr., Ferdinand Donato
Ferdinand Donato Vezzosi, Jr., age 60 of Shrewsbury died Saturday, July 17, 2004 at St Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. He was a wood shop teacher for Middletown Elementary School Systems for 35 years retiring 2 years ago. He received his bachelor degree from the Clemson University, South Carolina and his masters at Trenton State College. Mr. Vezzosi was a life member and former fire chief of the Holmdel Fire Company and a parishioner of St Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch. Born and raised in Newark, he had lived in Holmdel for many years before moving to Shrewsbury 20 years ago. He was predeceased by his parents, Ferdinand and Madelyn Bafumo Vezzosi, and his former wife Lynne.
He is survived by 2 sons, Michael Joseph Vezzosi and his fianceé Michele, of Bluffton, SC; Thomas John Vezzosi and his wife Sue, of Bluffton, SC; a daughter Donna Hoffman and her husband Eric, of Jackson, NJ; a sister, Marilyn Vezzosi Detels, of New York City; 5 grandchildren, Marrisa, Nicole, Madelyn, Eric and Joseph Donato; and his friend Judy.
A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, July 20, at St Michael's R.C. Church, 800 Ocean Ave, West End, at 10:30 am. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch will be in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 216 Haddon Ave, Westmont, NJ 08018.

On December 30, 2002 of Philadelphia, PA formerly of Hazelton, PA; age 60 years.

Vinci, Lewis G.
Lewis G. Vinci, 66, of North Wildwood, passed away Monday, August 6th, 2001, after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Sea Isle City, he was a local resident since 1965.
Mr. Vinci was a 1956 graduate of Villanova University and then served in the New Jersey National Guard. He co-managed a family trucking business, Vinci's Express, in Woodbine for the next 45 years. He was active in local activities, serving on the elected Woodbine Board of Education and Secretary of the Cape May County Board of Elections. He was elected to two terms as North Wildwood Councilman of the Second Ward, and served nine years as Mayor and Director of Public Safety. He was a former member of the North Wildwood Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustments. He was elected Republican City Leader and was active in the Men's Republican Club.
He was a member of the Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge #1896, the Loyal Order of the Moose#585, a contributing member of North Wildwood Fire Company #1, and an associate member of the Cape May County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7.
He was a warm and loving husband to his wife of 40 years, the former Anna Leone, and a devoted father to his two children, Joanne, and Lewis, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, of Millville. He is also survived by a brother, John of Stone Harbor, and four sisters, Sadie Wenzel of Wisconsin, Jean Buoy of Ocean City, Helen Venuto of Vineland, and Rita Kuzan of Newtown Square, PA. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony of Avalon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Wildwood, with burial to follow in St. Elizabeth's cemetery, Goshen. Friends may call Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House.
Vitale, Vincent J.
VINCENT J. VITALE, 78, of OCEAN TOWNSHIP, died Friday, Jan. 3, at the Center for Hospice Care at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a self-employed general contractor. He was a parishioner of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, West Long Branch. He was a lifelong member of Monmouth Park Racetrack and was an Army veteran of World War II. Born in Newark, he had lived in Long Branch before moving to Ocean Township 11 years ago.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Jean Panaccione Vitale; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Kathleen Vitale of Long Branch; two daughters and a son-in-law, Vivian and Dr. Alan Fried of West Long Branch, and Deborah Vitale of Alexandria, Va.; two brothers, Gaetano Vitale of Toms River, and Louis Vitale of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jarrod, Jamie, Amy and Nicoll; and five great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. A funeral will be held Monday at the funeral home; time of Mass at be announced. Interment will be in Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. Vonella, Claudia Ward
CLAUDIA WARD VONELLA, 81, of FREEHOLD, died Friday, Jan. 10, at home. She was a seamstress for 20 years before retiring, and was a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 85. She attended Appalachian State College, N.C., and was an artist by hobby. Born in Boone, N.C., she lived in Sugar Grove, N.C., West Long Branch and Ocean Township before moving to Freehold.
She was predeceased by a son, Frank J. Vonella, in 1982; and her former husband, Frank G. Vonella, in 1993. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Vonella-Carcaldi of Freehold, and Judy Vonella-Fisher of Hillsborough, N.C.; two sons-in-law, Alfred Carcaldi and Christopher Fisher; three brothers, Lee Ward of Granite Falls, N.C., Donald Ward of Tennessee, and Gene Ward of Sugar Grove, N.C.; a sister, Hazel Alspaugh of Winston Salem, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Scott and Jeremy Fisher.

Irene Voorhees, 69, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Monday, March 31, 2003, at the Crest Haven Nursing Home, Cape May Court House. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and lived in Effort, PA before moving to this area in 1996. She is survived by a brother, George Arbocus of Bellmawr, NJ; a sister in law and brother in law: Anne and Robert Brenner of Cape May Court House; four nieces and two nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

Wagner, Ellen E.
Ellen E. Wagner, 89, a long resident of the Wildwood area died on Saturday, November 9, 2002, at the Glen Cove Hospital, Glen Cove, Long Island, NY. She was born in Philadelphia and moved to Wildwood in 1950. She had been a member of St. Ann's Church here; Church of the Assumption in Wildwood Crest and St. Hugh's Catholic Church in Philadelphia, Pa. She and her late husband, Joseph Howard, Sr. owned and operated the Howard Apartments at Pine Avenue and 3104 Ocean Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Wagner were avid linedancers. She is survived by her daughter: Alice Covitz and her husband, Charles of Great Neck, NY and her son: J. Howard, Jr. and his wife, Catherine of Malvern, Pa.; her sister, Alice Grimm of Blue Bell, Pa. and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Mooney. Funeral Liturgy will be said on Thursday, November 14, 2002, at 11 am. at St. Ann's R.C. Church, Wildwood, NJ where friends may call 10 to 11 am. Wagner, Sr., Joseph W.
Joseph W. Wagner, Sr., 85, of Stone Harbor, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2003 at home. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph W. and Alice (Dollmeier) Wagner, he had lived here for 12 years after summering here since 1953. He was the owner of South Jersey Metal, Inc. in Deptford, NJ. He enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Wagner is survived by his wife, Catherine Ann (Fath) Wagner of Stone Harbor; his children, Alice Dobzanski of Franklinville, NJ, Donna Gibson of Edgewater, FL, Rose Ettinger of Emmaus, PA, Joseph Wagner, Jr. of Sewell, NJ, and Janet Bright of Dennisville, NJ; his brothers and sisters, Alice Powell, Ruth Maher, Rose Hopkins, Dorothy McMahon, John Wagner, Joan Sexton, and Robert Wagner; his 13 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Interment will be private. Waldman, William L.
WALDMAN, WILLIAM L., of Williamstown. Died Sunday, August 11, 2002, at his home. Age 73 years.
He was self-employed as a mechanical and electrical contractor prior to his retirement in 1992. He was a US Army Veteran Private First Class in active WWII duty, where he received the Victory Medal.
He was the beloved husband of the late Mary V. Waldman (nee Gumpper). He is survived by his daughter Louann Nanashko, stepdaughters, Mary Syx, and Bettyjean Toppi, stepson William H. Rusden, Jr., daughter Joyce Waldman and son William Waldman. Also surviving are his brother John Waldman, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at THE BELL-HENNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 420 S. Main St., Williamstown, where relatives and friends may call one hour prior. Interment Brotherhood cemetery, Williamstown.

WALKER, RONALD J. JR. suddenly on April 16, 2004 of Shamong, age 28 years. He is survived by his parents, Ronald J. Sr. and Kathleen C. (nee Carr) of Indian Mills, a brother Matthew B. and his wife Danielle of Gainesville, FL, maternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Allen G. Carr, Sr. of Cherry Hill, aunts, uncles & cousins in Cherry Hill and Atlanta, GA. Ronnie was a member of the All South Jersey and All State High School, Baseball and Football Teams while at Shawnee High School. He was also a member of the Burlington County Scholastic League in 1992, 1993 and 1994. He was High School All American Baseball in 1993 and graduated from Shawnee High School in Medford in 1994. He was South Jersey High School Baseball Player of the Year in 1994 and went on to attend Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. In 1995, Ronnie was Freshman Baseball All American and Colonial Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year. In 1995, 96 and 97 he received All Conference Baseball awards. While a junior at ODU, he was 8th round draft pick by the Chicago Cubs. He was a member of the All Century South Jersey baseball team in 2000 and a single season home run record holder for the Williamsport Cubs and the Daytona Cubs. Walsh, Bernadette Bonnie
Bernadette "Bonnie" Walsh, 62, of Ocean Township died Wednesday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was an executive secretary at LaSalle Provincialate, Lincroft for the past 22 years.
Born in the Bronx, New York she had been a resident of Ocean for the past 40 years. She was a graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Bronx and Berkeley Secretarial School, New York City.
She was a communicate of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, West Long Branch.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Helen Regan.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Edward R. Walsh, Sr., a son, Edward R. Walsh Jr., a daughter in law, Susan Walsh, three grandchildren, Ann Regan Walsh, James Edward Walsh and Madeleine Carroll Walsh, all of Garden City, New York and six nieces and nephews.

Christina L. Walton, 69, of South Dennis, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 after a short illness. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Joseph; her children, Paul, Joe, Chris, and JoAnn; her son in law, Bill; her brothers and sisters, Althea, Pete, Butch, and Peachy; her grandchildren, Skyler, Sullivan, Alicia, Paula, Paul James, Garth, Clinton, and Ron; and her great grandchildren. She touched the lives of many people, all who knew her, loved her. She will be in our hearts forever.
