Stack, Thomas J.
Thomas J. Stack, 91, of Cape May Court House, died on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and lived in this area since 1986 after moving from Cherry Hill. He was a retired mail carrier for the United States Navy during World War II, delivering mail to the troops. He was a life member of the American Legion. He and his late brother, Jack, co-owned the Manoa Beverage Company for ten years and the Shelter Haven for twenty five years.
He is survived by his sister, Sister Mary Borgia of St. Joseph's Villa, Flourtown, PA; three nieces, Nancy Lomonaco of Cape May Court House, Janet Nichols of West Chester, PA, and Gail O'Dea of Cape May Court House; great nephews, John Lomonaco, who loved his uncle and was thought of and loved as a son by Mr. Stack, Patrick O'Dea, and Richard Nichols; and a great niece, Gwen Accardi; and Barbara Nicholson, who lovingly cared for him for ten years.
Funeral Liturgy will be said at noon on Thursday, April 29, 2004 at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 99th Street and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, where friends may call at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be on Friday, April 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross cemetery, Yeadon, PA. Memorials may be made in the form of Mass Cards or to a favorite charity.
Stackhouse, Morris D
On March 20, 2004 of Moorestown, NJ age 84 yrs. Devoted father of Stephanie R. Stackhouse. Loving uncle of Joanne Zagorski and her husband Tom and Sandra Fretz. Dear Cousin of Peter Austin. Also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Stackhouse served in the US Army retiring with over 20 years of service and attained the rank of Sergeant (SP5). He served in World War II as well as the Korean Conflict. Mr. Stackhouse was awarded the Bronze Star for his military efforts in the Philippine Islands during World War II. Mr. Stackhouse was a proud member of the Maple Shade VFW Post 2445. On February 25, 2003, of Glassboro, NJ since 1930; age 100 years.
Beloved wife of the late, Herbert S. Also survived by dear friends, Townsend and Mary Buck for over 50 years.
Mrs. Stackhouse was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Glassboro, NJ for over 70 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Requiem Mass on Friday at 2PM at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 212 N. Main St., Glassboro, NJ 08028, where there will be a viewing from 1PM. STAMAT, MARIE L. (nee Lutz)
On January 30, 2003, of Philadelphia, PA; age 87 years.
Devoted mother of the late John Stamat; Dear sister of Frederick and Edward Lutz; Also survived by a daughter in law Dolly Stamat.
Prior to retirement, Mrs Stamat was employed at SKF in Philadelphia, PA for over 35 years.

Stamp, Anna M.
Stamp, Anna M. age 91, of Villas, NJ, died on Friday, January 4, 2002, at the Atlantic City Medical Center Mainland Divison. She was born in Philadelphia and lived here since 1972 having summered here since 1951. She formerly lived in Upper Darby, Pa.
She was a retired cook at the Stonehurst Hill School in Upper Darby, Pa.; also had been a waitress in Clifton Heights, Pa and worked in Yeadon, Pa. drying cleaning shop. She was also a cook at the Middle Township Elementary School #3 in Cape May Court House.
Mrs. Stamp was a well-known candy maker for her specialty candy "butter cremes" which she sold to American Airlines, Gimbel and Wanamaker stores.
She is survived by six children: Joan Marie Wolf of Dallas, TX; Leonard B. Stamp, Jr. of
Delaware; Carol Ann Prickett of Cape May Court House, NJ; Nancy Lee McManus of Va;
Willliam B. Stamp of Norwood, Pa. and Betty Lou Steere of Trevose, Pa.; twenty eight grandchildren; fifty three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard B. Stamp, Sr. and a daughter, Claire Louise Hamilton.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2002, at 2 p.m. at the Tabernacle Methodist Church, Seashore Road, Erma, NJ where relatives and friends may call at 1 pm. Interment will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery.

Stanford, Anne Maxine
Anne Maxine Stanford, 85, of Clermont, died on Thursday, January 3, 2002 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. She was born in Thebes, Illinois and lived in East Orange before moving here in 1951. She was an active member of the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church and the Wetlands Institute. She had an avid interest in birds and flowers.
She was a 1934 graduate of Stratford College of Danville, VA and taught in the then-experimental field of early education for six years at the Far Hill, NJ Country Day School. She was married
in 1940 to the late Leland A. Stanford, Jr., who preceded her in death December 27, 1999.
She is survived by two sons, Leland A. Stanford, III of Mays Landing, and Douglass V. Stanford of Marmora; one daughter, Elizabeth Coleman of Oxford, PA; six grandchildren, Leland A. Stanford, IV of Boston, MA, Craig C. Stanford of Petersburg, Roger W. Stanford and Lauren B. Otton of Stone Harbor, Geoffrey S. Coleman and Philippa M. Coleman of Oxford, PA; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, 780 Seashore Road, Cold Spring where friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery. STANTE, MINNIE E.
(nee Ettore) on February 9, 2003 of Tabernacle formerly of the Cramer Hill section of Camden age 88 years.
Beloved wife of the late, Joseph; Devoted mother of Anna Droege and Josephine Stante; Loving grandmother of Jennifer Carmody, Jeanne Droege and Laura Acampa and great grandmother of 8; Dear sister of Anna MacDonnell.
Prior to retirement in 1984, Mrs. Stante was employed at McMillians Bood Company in Riverside, NJ for 21 years. She was an active parishioner at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Camden, NJ and was also a member of their Rosary and Altar Society.

Stanton, Robert J.
Robert J. Stanton Sr., 65, of Williamstown, died Wednesday in Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Washington Township.
Born in Manchester, N.H., formerly of Linwood, Pa., he lived in Williamstown for 32 years.
He graduated in 1954 from St. James High School in Chester, Pa.
Robert worked 34 years for the Scott Paper Co. in Chester, Pa. and Landisville and later at Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City before retiring in 1997.
Mr. Stanton was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Williamstown.
He spent winter months in Dunedin, Fla. He was an avid cook and sports fan.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Dolores (nee Majewski); three sons, Robert J. Jr. of Vineland and James J. and John H., both of Williamstown; a daughter, Christine M. of Williamstown; a sister, Catherine Thomas of Wallingford, Pa.; a brother, William of Glenolden, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Main Street and Carrol Avenue, Williamstown. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 S. Main St., Williamstown. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Williamstown.
Starn, Joyce L.
STARN, on October 23, 2001, Joyce L. (nee Piuser) of Marlton NJ. Age 89. Mrs. Starn has lived in Wiley Village, Marlton NJ for the past 15 years. Born in Sioux City, IA and raised in Blue Earth, MN, she raised her family in Minneapolis MN and St. Louis MO. She and her late husband, Henry R. Starn retired to Dunedin Beach, FL prior to moving to Marlton NJ. While in Minneapolis, she was a beautician and then a homemaker to her husband and 2 sons Stafford Starn of Camdenton, MO and Donald F. Starn of Franklinville, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kathleen, Allison, Luke, Jason and Rachel and 2 great grandsons. Steele, Sarah T.
SARAH T. STEELE (Nee Tiffany), passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2002 at the Sunrise Assisted Living of Mt. Laurel, NJ. She was 89 yrs. of age. Born in East Hampton, NY, she resided in Mt. Laurel for the past 2 1/2 years moving there from East Hampton, NY where she had lived her entire life. A graduate of East Hampton High School Class of 1931, she attended Drexel University in Phila., PA and was a home maker and avid golfer. She is the wife of the late Richard F. Steele who was the former Police Lt. Of the East Hampton Village Police Dept. She is the Loving Grandmother of Richard B. Steele and his wife Suzanne of Tabernacle, NJ, Jon Diamond and his wife Tammy of Bryan, TX, and Richard Diamond and his wife Michelle of Austin, TX. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Jill Steele Lipomi and her son-in-law Martin Diamond both of East Hampton, NY, her two nieces Susan Lillywhite and Nancy Brynildsen, her nephew Newt Tiffany and also 4 Great Grandsons. She is the mother of the late Richard B. Steele and the late Sally Steele Diamond. STELLA, FRANK F.
On 8/2/2002, of Pennsauken, NJ. age 88 years.
Beloved husband of Helen M. (nee Primavera); Devoted father of Mary Lynne Blithe of Claremont, Florida; Jane Di Berardine of Haddon Twsp and Anita Nicholson of Sicklerville; Loving grandfather of, Robert, Jessica and Kristin; Dear Brother of Rita Cavacini, Mae Brescia, James and Alphonse Stella, Gilda Polo and the late Jean Hurley, Ella Garafolo and Anthony Stella.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Stella was a resident of Pennsauken for 50 years. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Stephens Church in Pennsauken and former trustee of Sons of Italy and former member of the Lions Club of Pennsauken. He was also a member of the Browning Road Senior Citizen Club.
Prior to retiring in 1980, Mr. Stella was owner of the Pennco Construction Company as a general contractor for over 45 years. He was an artist and sculptor and was recently registered with the Smithsonian Institute American Art Museum for his sculpture of Christopher Colombus which stands in Cooper River Park in Pennsauken. He was also a United States Navy Veteran of World War II.

Stephens, Elaine G.
Elaine G. Stephens, 78, of Rio Grande, died on Friday, May 28, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. Born in Philadelphia, she had lived in the Rio Grande area for the past 38 years. Elaine was a retired insurance agent and enjoyed singing, arts and crafts, music, along with her endless quest to think of everyone's birthday with a little card and gift.
She is survived by her three children, Paul of Rio Grande, Bradley of Erma, and Jill Allen and her husband, Tim of Franklinton, NC; her four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Stephens.
Our mother will be sorely missed with her feisty charm and wit. We will always love ya Mom!
