Shindel, Albert
Albert Shindel, 62, a resident of Cape May County for many years died at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ on November 18, 2001. He had served in the armed forces and had been a member of various American Legion and V.F.W. Posts in Georgia. There are no known survivors. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2001, at 11 am. at the Seaside cemetery, Palermo, NJ.

Natalie "Nellie" Shisler (nee Graziani), age 78 of Delair, NJ, died on Sunday, November 11, 2001 at JFK Hospital Cherry Hill Division, Cherry Hill, NJ. She was wife of the late, Herbert J. Shisler. She is survived by two daughters, Rita Hilbmann and Nancy Shisler; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Nicholas Graziani and one sister, Marie Sheffield. William H. Shively, passed away on Friday, March 19th, 2004 at his home in Tabernacle, NJ. He was 53 yrs. of age. Born in Mt. Holly, NJ, he is the son of the late Walter & Rose Marie Shively and has lived in Tabernacle for the past 10 yrs. moving there from Pennsauken, NJ. He is a 25 yr. member of Carpenters Union Local 1578 in Gloucester, NJ and an avid outdoors man. He enjoy hunting and is a member of the Mt. Laurel Gunning Club, the Beaumont Gang and the Fox Chase Rednecks. He is the beloved husband of Carol (Nee Lynch) Shively and the loving Father of William Jr. "Bill" and his Fiancee Joyce Aydt of Tabernacle, NJ and Angel Shively of Marlton, NJ. He is also survived by his siblings Walter Shively Jr. and Joan of Southampton, NJ, James Shively and Irene of Westampton, NJ, Joyce Katilus of Southampton, NJ, Marion Shively and Floyd Linaweaver Jr. both of Mt. Laurel, NJ and his Step-Father Floyd Linaweaver of Mt. Laurel, NJ. He is the brother of the late Doris Shively, Rosemarie Shively, Grover Shively Jr. and Randolph Shively. Kenneth D. Shivers, Jr., 52, a lifetime resident of North Wildwood, NJ, died on Thursday, October 17, 2002, at his home. He was born in Somers Point and was a self employed Commercial Fisherman. He was a life member of the Anglesea Fire Company, the North Wildwood Moose, and the Elks. He worked for over thirty five years alongside his father fishing the ocean between Ottens Harbor, Wildwood, and Ocean City, MD.
He is survived by his parents: Kenneth D., Sr. and Rita R. of North Wildwood; sister: Diane C. and husband David Bowman of Rio Grande; and nephew: Jesse Bowman of Rio Grande.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2002, at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 AM. Shockley, Leon Rudolphiffa
Leon Rudolphiffa Shockley, 75, died on Friday, January 31, 2003, in the Court House Convalescent Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he has lived in Whitesboro, NJ since 1952 coming from Philadelphia. Before his retirement, he was employed by the Cape May Cannery, Burleigh, NJ. He was an Army/Air Force Veteran during Peacetime.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Mae; sons: Mario, Aaron, and Efram; daughters: Cordelia Moyer, Deborah Cisco, Kim Carmelia Edwards, Alvita Riley, Gail Matthews, and Zimmerretta Williams; brothers: Robinson, Bishop William, and Lorenzo; sisters: Bishop Olivia Grant and Martina Bumpers; 34 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Leon, Jr., and brother, Albert.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at 12:00 PM at Christ Gospel Church, Whitesboro, where relatives and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment in Household of Ruth cemetery, Whitesboro.
Shover Jr., John
JOHN SHOVER JR. "Dutchie" went home to the Lord suddenly on Monday, January 5th, 2004 at the Deborah Heart & Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ. He was 80 yrs. of age. Born in a farm house on Hemmelein Rd. in Medford, NJ, he has lived here his entire life. A local icon, he worked for 35 years at Foulkes Exxon on Rt. 70 as a Mechanic, Attendant and Acting Manager. He joined the Union Fire Co. in Medford Twp. in 1947 where he served as Fireman for 7 years and then as a Fire Policeman. He is a former Capt. Of the Fire Policemen and was honored for 50 years of consecutive service. He is a long time member of the Marlton United Methodist Church where he served as a Trustee, Secretary and was Head Usher for 25 yrs. surpassing 5 ministers. He also belonged to the Methodist Men and was President 3 times. He is a member of the NJ Exempt Fireman, the Medford VFW 7677 and the Medford Businessman's Bowling League. John served his country as a signalman in the US Navy aboard the destroyer escort, USS Leslie B. Knox and was honored several years ago as the Medford Trend's Person of the Year and the Medford-Vincentown Rotary Citizen of the Year. He is the beloved husband of Florence A. (Nee Hiittner) Shover of Medford, NJ and the loving father of Ralph F. Shover and his girl friend Molly of Lake Dallas, TX, Debra M. Langoski and her boy friend Tim of Medford, NJ and Diane M. DeMore and her husband Thom of Austin, TX. He is also survived by his Grandchildren Jason, Wayne & Rachael, Ronald, Adele & Matt, Pamela and Michael and his Great Granddaughter Hannah, his sister Lorna Giberson of Tabernacle, NJ and many nieces and nephews. SHUTS, on November 19, 2001, H. Edward, Jr. of Mt. Laurel NJ. Age 64. Loving husband of Christine J. Shuts (nee Kamen). Devoted father of Karen (Jack) Winner of Forest Hill MD, Mark (Cheryl) Shuts of Mt. Laurel NJ, and Brad (Kathy) Shuts of Wilmington DE. Also survived by his father, Harold E. Shuts Sr. of Pennsauken, his sister Phyllis Anderson of Wilmington DE and 5 grandchildren; Shawn, Shannon, Mark Jr., Ryan, and Timothy. He is the son of the late Catherinie Shuts (nee Johnson). Ed was a former manufacturing engineer employed for 30 years by KSM/Omark Industries/Enrico Fastening Systems. Ed was a 1955 graduate of Merchantville High School and attended Temple University. He was devoted to his family, an avid sports fan and will always be remembered as a caring and kind gentleman. Sicignano, Michael John
MICHAEL JOHN SICIGNANO, 50, of LONG BRANCH, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack. He was employed by Levitz Furniture for over 16 years. In 1998 he started his own business, becoming a factory representative. Within those four years he built one of the most successful furniture organizations on the East Coast. He was a member of the New York Home Furnishings Association. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. He was a loving husband, devoted father and a dedicated son. He will be missed by all who knew him. Born in Brooklyn, he had lived in Long Branch since 1981.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Elizabeth Thompson Sicignano; two sons, Joseph and Michael Sicignano, both at home; his father and mother, Joseph and Grace Vadala Sicignano of West Chester, Pa.; and a sister, Mary Ann Dignen of Exton, Pa.

Adelino R. Silva age 64, of Long Branch died Sunday, December 28, 2003 at home. He was a mason at Pax Construction, Long Branch and a self employed landscaper. He was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch and a member of the Portuguese Club. The greatest joys in his life were family and his love for gardening. He was also an avid soccer fan. Born in Lapa Furada, Batalha, Portugal, he lived in Long Branch since 1974. He was predeceased by his first wife, Adelina Silva in 1987. Surviving is his wife, Leonor Moco Silva; two daughters, Luci Pereira of West Long Branch and Marisa Silva of Long Branch; two sisters, Maria Alexandere and Adelina Silva both of Portugal and 3 grandchildern, Andrew, Michael and Jianna Pereira.

Simmons, William C.
William C. Simmons, 77, of Green Creek, passed away on December 12, 2001 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. He was born on February 23, 1924 in Evansville, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the FAA in 1980. He was a lifetime member of the Green Creek Fire Company and the American Legion.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary J. Simmons (Forrest) and his five children: Theresa Blackwelder and husband, Wes of Fort Mills, SC; Gordon Simmons and wife, Kathleen of Asheville, NC; Diane Rouse of Cockeysville, MD; William Simmons and wife, Audrey of Green Creek; and Clay Simmons and wife, Susan, also of Green Creek. Also surviving are his nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his sister, Helen Simmons of Browns Mills, NJ and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15 at 3:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Green Creek Methodist cemetery. Simmons, John L.
John L. Simmons, 67, of Wildwood, died on Friday, July 26, 2002 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. He was born in Pollocksville, NC to the late Henry and Eunice (Jordan) Simmons. He moved to Wildwood on August 29, 1969 from Philadelphia, PA. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Rio Grande Building Material for 25 years before dedicating himself to the Head Start Program. He was supervisor of the bus drivers for the Head Start Program of the Atlantic Human Resources for six years. He was a member of the Teamsters 676 and of Christ Gospel Church in Whitesboro. He was loving, caring, and willing to help anyone.
Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Louise (Hamilton); his children, Samuel Atkinson, Marlene Atkinson, and Maxine Atkinson, all of Wildwood; his brother, Henry Simmons of Philadelphia; his sister, Barbara Finney of Philadelphia; his ten grandchildren, James Atkinson, Renee Atkinson, Albert Atkinson, Phillip Atkinson, Tashana Atkinson, Henry Atkinson, Samuel Atkinson, Jr., Curtis Atkinson, Samantha Atkinson, and Myron Hunter; his seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 2, 2002 at 12 noon at Christ Gospel Church, George and Anna Streets, Whitesboro, where relatives and friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House. Mary J. Simmons, 74, of Green Creek died on Friday at the Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she lived here for the past 48 years coming from Philadelphia. She was a member of St. Raymond's Church, Villas and worked in Food Service for Middle Township at the grade school level. She was predeceased by her husband, William C. on Dec. 12, 2001.
She is survived by her 3 sons: Gordon of Asheville, NC, William and Clay, both of Green Creek; 2 daughters: Theresa Blackwelder of Fort Mill, SC and Diane C. Rouse of Cockeysville, MD; 2 brothers: Owen Forrest of Bristol, PA and Larry Forrest of Hainesport, NJ; sister: Eleanor Knoll of Philadelphia, PA; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Jr., and his wife Allison of Medford, Michael J. and his wife, Barbara of North Merrick NY, and Paul J. of Cherry Hill and 3 daughters, Kathleen A. Punk and her husband, Dan, Karen R. Simons and Meghan M. Simons, all of Cherry Hill. Also survived by 3 brothers, Joseph R., John J. and Robert M. and 3 sisters, Kathleen Schmitt, Joanne Prodoehl and Christine Gallagher and 4 grandchildren, Bobby and Lauren Punk and Bobby and Patrick Simons. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mrs. Simons was a graduate of Gwynedd Mercy Academy and received her Bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University. She is the former founder of The Prep Center for educational tutoring in Medford and a retired ESL teacher for Lumberton Board of Education. Mrs. Simons was an active local and worldwide volunteer for the Red Cross, the city of Camden in its assistance to AIDS patients, the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen in Trenton, and the Honduras orphanage. Simpkins, Enid Smith
Enid Smith Simpkins, 88, of South Seaville, died on Sunday, November 18, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Ocean View, NJ. She was born in South Seaville and was a lifetime resident here. She was an active member of the South Seaville United Methodist Church and the South Seaville Grange. She was retired from the Cape May County Welfare Board having worked there for twenty five years from 1946 to 1971. She was also a member of the Arbutus Chapter of the Eastern Star. The Church was always the center of her life. She was happy just to be at home in South Seaville; she would visit relatives in Florida, but was always happy to be "back home". She was married
in 1941 to Kenneth Simpkins who preceded her in death January 31, 1989.
She is survived by three nephews: Kenneth and his wife, Lois Konschak of Bridgeton; Robert and James Konschak of Millville and a cousin, Betty Lanzi of Vineland and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at 11 am at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ where relatives and friends may call after 10 am. Interment will be in Calvary Baptist cemetery, Ocean View. Memorials may be made to the South Seaville United Methodist Church in her name.
