Mr. Selby retired in 1989 as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force after serving 22 years, including time in Vietnam. Since 1990, he has worked as an Instructor on the Boeing Flight Simulator at McGuire Air Force Base.

Selinsky, Stephanie T.

Stephanie T. Selinsky, 9, of South Dennis, NJ, died peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2002, at her home after a lingering illness in the presence of her loving parents and family members. She was born in Cape May Court House, NJ, and was a lifetime area resident. She was a member of the Dennisville United Methodist Church. She attended Sunday School there, and attended the Cape May County Special Services School and the Dennis Township School Pre-K.

She is survived by her parents: Christopher and Donna Disney Selinsky; sister: Constance; paternal grandmother: Patricia Mullins and step grandfather, George Beddow of Chincoteague, VA; paternal great grandmother: Constance Mullins of Levittown, PA; maternal grandparents: Frank and Carole Disney of Woodbine, NJ; maternal great grandparents: Frances and Thomas Gibbons of New Port Richey, FL; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral serives will be held on Friday, June 14, 2002, at 11:00 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210, where friends may call 10:00-11:00 AM. Interment will be in Union cemetery, South Dennis, NJ. Memorials may be sent to The Brendan Borek High Times Memorial Fund, Inc., PO Box 41, Avalon, NJ 08202.

Selmi, Jr., Louis

Louis Selmi, Jr., of West Wildwood, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2004, at his home. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Louis, Sr. and Edna (Allen) Selmi. He summered here for many years prior to moving permanently eleven years ago from Cherry Hill, NJ. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Stone Harbor, NJ. He was a retired sales representative for the Desimone Cadillac Agency. Mr. Selmi served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict having received the Bronze Star, Occupation Medal Japan, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Korean SVC Medal, and the Overseas Bar. He was active in various military organizations as a director of the National Korean War Veterans, the VFW and American Legion Posts of Maple Shade, NJ, and the Disabled Army Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Marion F. (Amies) Selmi, sons: Louis, III and William A., granddaughters: Shannon and Elizabeth Selmi; and grandsons: William, Jr. and Andrew Selmi.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 12, 2004 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 95th and Third Av., Stone Harbor, NJ. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Rd., Absecon, NJ 08201.

Sestito, Cecilia M. Russo

Cecilia M. Russo Sestito, age 85 of Long Branch died Sunday, July 4, at St Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. Before retiring, Mrs. Sestito worked as a toll collector for the Garden State Parkway and for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in Asbury Park, she had lived in Long Branch since 1944. Mrs. Sestito was predeceased by beloved parents, John and Philomena Russo, her husband Frank Sestito who died in 1974, her son in law Raymond Dumas in 1976 and her sister Ann Martone in 1999.

Surviving are a daughter and son in law, Mary Rose and Howard Kingsley, Long Branch; a son and daughter in law, Vincent Jim and Adele Sestito, Point Pleasant; 3 brothers, Anthony Russo, Whiting; Joseph Russo, Deal; former Senator John F. Russo, Toms River; 2 sisters, Theresa Freda, Neptune City; Carol Marzarella, Lakewood; her aunt, Rose Chiafullo, Long Branch; 2 grandchildren, James and his wife Danielle Sestito, Neptune City; Michael Sestito and his fiance Nichole Douglas, Shark River Hills; and 2 great grandchildren, Taylor and Jeremy Sestito, Neptune City; she was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and MaMa to many others.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave, corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Thursday from 2-4, 7-9 pm. Funeral Friday, July 9, at 8:30 am from the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass at Holy Trinity R.C. Church. Interment will be at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to St Barnabas Hospice Care Center CW6, 300 Second Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740.

Sestito, Samuel L.

SAMUEL L. SESTITO, 46, a lifelong resident of LONG BRANCH, died Thursday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a customer service manager at West End Video and Candy Store, Long Branch, and was a member of the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, IAMA in Long Branch, and the Long Branch Elks.

He was predeceased by his mother, Joan Mollico Sestito, in 1979. Surviving are his father, Louis Sestito of Oakhurst; two sisters, MaryLou Hisman and Phyllis Sestito, both of Oakhurst; his paternal grandmother, Mary Sestito of Long Branch; his aunt, Annette Conte of New York; and cousins, James, Michael, Steven Cody and Karen Mc Causlin, and several other cousins.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be at Mount Carmel cemetery, West Long Branch.

Seymour, Fred A.

Fred A. Seymour, 82, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Merrimac, MA, he moved here 50 years ago. He was a carpenter for Union Local 1743 of Wildwood. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape May Court House, and a retired member of the Cape May Court House Volunteer Fire Department and Middle Township Rescue Squad.

Mr. Seymour is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley (Urqhart); his sons, Fred Seymour, Jr. and his wife, Clara Marie of Cape May Court House, and David Seymour and Norma Potter of Virginia Beach, VA; his daughters, Sylvia Supplee of Cape May Court House, Gloria Geisinger and her husband, Dave of Dennisville, and Janet Schubert and her husband, Bill of Rio Grande; eleven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Seymour; grandsons, Shawn Supplee, Wes Geisinger, and Sebastian Seymour; and son-in-law, John Supplee.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private in Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court House. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Middle Township Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 331, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Shandrey, Joseph J.

JOSEPH JOHN SHANDREY, age 83, of Long Branch died Sunday, December 28, at home. He was a Senior Instructor in the Applied Communications Division of the Officers Department at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 335 and the Nocturnal Adoration Society. He was president of the Holy Name Society at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church where he served as head usher at the 9:00 am mass. He was a parishioner of Saint John the Baptist Church, Long Branch. He served his country honorably in the US Army and was among the first U.S. troops to serve overseas during World War II. He served as Master Sergeant with the 121st Signal Radio Intelligence Company. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Signal Corps in January 1944 and eventually attaining rank of First Lieutenant. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Born in Miners Mills, PA, he had been a resident of the shore area since 1937.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Dilione Schandrey, a daughter Mary Schandrey Nugent of Middletown, a sister Helen Stanley of Maryland and 1 grandchild, Colleen Schandrey.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, corners of Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch on Friday, January 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Saturday, January 3, 9:00 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Shanley, Jerry

Jerry Shanley, 54, of Williamstown died Saturday at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.

Jerry was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he formerly lived in Sicklerville and was a Williamstown resident for the last 26 years.

He worked for Telegenix in Cherry Hill for 26 years as a Shipping Foreman.

He is a member of the Williamstown Methodist Church. He was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years Jeannie nee Cramer, son Matt and his wife Brenda and daughter Heather all of Williamstown. Sister Donna Barkow of Duncanville, TX and brother Jim Shanley of Tega Bay, SC and parents Jim and Peg Shanley of Sicklerville.

A viewing will be held 6-8PM Wednesday and 9-10AM Thursday at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 South Main Street, Williamstown, where funeral services will be held 10AM. Interment Brotherhood cemetery.

Sharp, Minerva R.

MINERVA R. SHARP, 95, of LAKEWOOD, died Wednesday, June 9, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Kearny, she had lived in Oceanport before moving to Lakewood 31 years ago.

She was predeceased by her husband, Chester Sharp, in 1967. Surviving are eight nephews and their wives, Peter and Dorothy Robinson, James and Judy Robinson, Vincent and Bernie Robinson, Robert and Merethe Robinson, Richard and Ann Robinson, Richard Robinson, Welsey and Alice Yale, and Kenneth and Kathleen Yale; two nieces, Evonne and her husband, Kenneth Flynn, and Barbara Graves; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Robinson.

Relatives and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third Avenue, Long Branch. The funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with a funeral service to begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.

Sharp, Mary Dorothy

Mary Dorothy Sharp, 87, of Rio Grande, died on Saturday, May 18, 2002, at the Victoria Manor Nursing Home, North Cape May. She was born in Philadelphia and lived in Townsend's Inlet prior to moving to Dias Creek in 1941 and then to Rio Grande in 1994. She was a member of the Dias Creek Methodist Church and the Women's Christian Society and the AARP. She was a retired baker for the Middle Township Schools.

She is survived by her son, Allen V. Hudson of Edgewood; her grandchildren, Allen V. Hudson, Jr. of Dias Creek, and Linda Pennycook; and her great granddaughter, Nicole Pennycook of Cape May Court House.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court House. Memorials may be made to the Dias Creek Methodist Church.

W. Hartford, CT and Linden, NJ. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Earl Shaw. Loving mother of Betty Shaw Elwell of Evesham and son-in-law Gary G. Elwell of W. Collingswood; and the late Clifford R. Shaw and the late Robert E. Shaw. Devoted grandmother of Cheryl Ann Shaw of E. Brunswick, Amy Brown of S. Amboy, Clifford Shaw of OK and Wendy Cox of GA; and great grandmother of 5. Dear sister of Marjorie D’Surney of Marlton and George DeSurney of Hamilton Square, NJ Mrs. Shaw was a member of the Eastern Star in W. Hartford and was former President of the Ladies Aid Society at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Linden. Shaw, Edna C.

Edna C. Shaw, 89, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Friday, April 23, 2004, at the Crest Haven Nursing Home. She was born in Tuckahoe, NJ, and was a lifetime county resident. She was a member of the Green Creek United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed by the Lincoln Laundry in Wildwood and retired from the Crest Haven Nursing Home as laundry supervisor.

She is survived by three daughters: Calra Caprioni and husband, Jacob of Williamstown, Millicent Morris of Cape May Court House, and Priscilla Tomlin and her husband, Philip of Cape May Court House; five sisters: Dorothy Tozer of Florida, Myrtle McGonigal of South Carolina, Wilmina Banks of Florida, Blanch Wiegand of California, and Mary Corsoe of Williamstown; eleven grandchildren: Rosemarie Whitaker, Nancy Harrell, Kathleen Needelman, Joann Socona, David Caprioni, Carolyn Caprioni, Jacob Caprioni, Jr., Donna Repici, Deborah Ann Bianchino, Philip Tomlin, Jr., and Karen Reardon; and twenty one great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at 2:30 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may call after 1:00 PM. Interment will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. Shaw, Sr., Edward Charles

Edward Charles "Eddie" Shaw, Sr., 36, of Cape May Court House, was received by his Lord Jesus Christ on September 3, 2002 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital and was a lifetime resident of Cape May County. He attended the Seashore Community Church, and was a member of Local 415 Union of Masonry and Laborers. Eddie was a very devoted husband and father to his wife and four sons. He loved fishing and playing all sports, especially baseball (he was an all star major pitcher at Middle Township High School).

He is survived by his wife, Cynetta Marie Shaw; his sons, Edward Charles, Jr., Matthew Timothy, Joshua Keith, and Justin Cole Shaw, all of Cape May Court House; his father, Carles Floyd Shaw, Sr. of Green Creek; his father in law, Elijah Scull of Green Creek; his grandmother, Floss Norcross of Dias Creek; his brothers and sisters, James Raymond (Jimmy) Shaw of Green Creek, Timothy Ruben (Timmy) and his wife, Katrina Ann Shaw of South Dennis, Mark Joseph and his wife, Sharon Shaw of Cape May Court House, Michael Orla and his wife, Angelina Marie (Angie) Shaw of Green Creek, Carles Floyd Shaw, Jr. and his wife, Jeannette of Rio Grande, Lydia Marie (Tiny) Farina and her husband, Ted C. Farina of North Cape May, and Carol Ann Garrison of Villas; his aunts and uncles, Donna and Roger Cook, Paula and Robert Osterdahl, Brenda Norcross, Selenia and John Perez, and Gary Grove; 25 nieces and nephews; 1 great niece; and 3 great nephews. His mother, Dale Marie Shaw, has already been received by her Lord Jesus Christ on August 24, 2002.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in Tabernacle cemetery, Erma. Memorial donations may be made to Eddie's children.

Sheer, Jeanne R.

Jeanne R. Sheer, 87, of Stone Harbor, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2001, at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. Born in Philadelphia, she was a longtime summer resident and purchased a home in Stone Harbor in 1967. She moved here permanently in 1992 from Narberth, PA. She was a member of the Stone Harbor Yacht Club and was active in civic affairs in Narberth and Stone Harbor.

Mrs. Sheer is survived by her husband, Morris; her son, Dennis and his wife, Bonnie H. of Wilmington, DE; and her grandson, Michael H.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at West Laurel Hill Chapel, 215 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Inurnment in West Laurel Hill cemetery will immediately follow the services.

Sheppard, Warren C.

SHEPPARD, on October 12, 2002, WARREN C. of Marlton, NJ. Formerly of Haddonfield, NJ. Age 87. Beloved husband of the Margaret E. (nee Shimmin). Loving father of David A. of Sonora, CA, John W. of Richmond, VA, James H. of Galloway, NJ, Frederick E. of Marlton, and Judith Ann Strafford of Galena, MD. Warren is also survived by his sisters, Irene Sharp of Burleigh, NJ and Mildred Irving of Albequerque, NM, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
