SCHUB, on March 25, 2003, Paul C. of Marlton NJ, formerly of Queens NY. Age 65. Beloved husband of Marie P. Schub (nee Finocchiaro). He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Edward and Teresa Schub of Rising Fawn GA and 2 granddaughters, Rachel and Marissa. Paul was a Veteran of the US ARMY and a retired Mail Handler for NYC and Phila. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday from 3-5pm at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton NJ (856) 983-1005. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10am at St. Joan of Arc Church, Marlton NJ.

Schubert, Daniel R.

Daniel R. Schubert, 40, of Villas, died on Thursday, August 2, 2001, at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Cape May Court House and was a lifetime area resident.

He was a driver for the Coggins Waste Management Company and a member of the Villas Volunteer Fire Company.

Mr. Schubert is survived by his mother, Ruth E. Schubert, and his sister, Lisa A. Schubert, both of Villas.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Methodist cemetery, Goshen.

Memorials may be made to the Crohn's Disease Foundation, 367 East Street Road, Trevose, PA 19053; the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201 or the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301.

Schubert, Ruth E.

Ruth E. Schubert, 67, of Villas, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Northeast Philadelphia to the late Robert and Theresa (Arbach) Walker, she lived in this area for 45 years after moving from Philadelphia. She was a secretary for the Lower Township Elementary Board of Education. She was a member of St. Raymond's Church.

Mrs. Schubert is survived by her daughter, Lisa Schubert of Villas; and her brother, Vaughn Walker and his wife, Marie of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius in 1992 and her son, Daniel in 2001.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Goshen Methodist cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, South Jersey Chapter, 600 South White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106 or the American Diabetes Association, 1060 North Kings Highway, Suite 309, Cherry Hill, NJ 08304.

Schuster, Emilien F.

Emilien F. Schuster, 86, of North Cape May, died on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, in the Lutheran Home of Ocean View. Born in Ogontz, PA, he has lived here since 1966 coming from Philadelphia. He was a retired firefighter with the City of Philadelphia for 25 years. He was a member of St. John of God Church, Knights of Columbus in Erma, V.F.W. of Cape May County, American Legion of Philadelphia, Moose Lodge of Lower Township, Avalon Country Club, International Association of Fire Fighters Local # L 22, and Greater Wildwood Elks. He was an alumni of St. Joseph's Preparatory School Class of 1933, and attended St. Joseph's University and Carlisle Military School. He was honored with the Bronze Star, Silver Star, and Purple Heart. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired as Lieutenant Colonel in 1974 after serving 34 years of duty.

He is survived by his two sons: Francis X. of Sellerville, PA, and John W. of Cape May Court House, NJ; his two daughters: Michele S. Kelly of Rockledge, PA, and Mary Beth S. Roadarmel of Harleysville, PA; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Services and interment are private in the Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House. Memorials to Lutheran Home at Ocean View, 2721 Rte. 9, Ocean View, NJ 08230, or Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurses, 1801 Rte. 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210.

Schwacke, Jacqueline L.

JACQUELINE L. SCHWACKE, of LONG BRANCH, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 in Eatontown. She was employed as a secretary for Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, retiring in 2002 after 50 years of dedicated service. Born in Long Branch, she was a lifelong resident there.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Marie Schwacke; and a brother, William D. Schwacke. Surviving are a sister, Mary E. Schocket of Long Branch; three nieces, Terry Flood, Jackie Flood, and Patricia Martin; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

All services will be private. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, is in charge of arrangements.

Schwartz, Jack Blair

Jack Blair Schwartz, 49, of Avalon, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Born in Cape May Court House, he was a lifetime resident of this area. He graduated from Middle Township High School, Cumberland County College, and Trenton State College. He was a teacher at West Cape May Elementary School, Middle Township High School, and, for over 20 years, Cape May County Technical High School.

Jack was a member and past Chief of the Avalon Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Emergency Management Team, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Avalon, President and coach for the Avalon Little League, a coach or assistant coach for many Avalon Recreation Department soccer and basketball teams, an assistant coach for Cape Express Soccer Club, and a former J.V. baseball coach for Middle Township High School. He was a former Cubmaster for the Avalon-Stone Harbor Cub Scout Troop 70, and enjoyed helping out Boy Scout Troop 65 in Cape May Court House, and Avalon-Stone Harbor Boy Scout Troop 70.

Jack is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dorothy Lynn (Tozour) Schwartz; his three children, Jonathan, Lindsay, and Douglas, all at home; his parents, George and Esther (Hansen) Schwartz of Cape May Court House; his brothers and sisters, George Schwartz and his wife, Mary of Newton Grove, NC, Linda Starkey and her husband, Mark of Midlothian, VA, Nancy Mitchell and her husband, Robert of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Scott Schwartz and his wife, Theresa of Cape May Court House, NJ; his godchildren, Lauren Starkey of Midlothian, VA, and T.J., Brian, and Kevin Moore of Cape May Court House; 18 beloved nieces and nephews; one beloved great grandnephew; his father in law and mother in law, William and Dorothy Tozour of Avalon; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters in law, brothers in law, friends, students, and ballplayers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Scrivani Gymnasium at the Cape May County Technical School, 188 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House, where family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 41, Avalon, NJ 08202; Love of Linda Cancer Fund, P.O. Schwarz, Barbara P.

Barbara P. Schwarz, age 51 of Long Branch died Tuesday April 27 at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, New York. She was office manager for Prown's Home Improvement Store, Red Bank, working there for twenty -five years. She was a parishioner of The Roman Catholic Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Born in Newark, she was a resident of Long Branch for the past three years coming from Monmouth Beach. Mrs. Schwarz was a 1971 graduate of Red Bank Regional High School. Taught CCD classes for ten years at Precious Blood Church, was an advid beach goer at the little Monmouth Beach Club. She was predeceased by her father Frank Ferrugia.

Surviving is her husband of twenty eight years, George Schwarz, two sons, Justin M, Shane R. both of Long Branch. Her mother Connie Cortese Ferrugia, Long Branch, a sister Diane Ferrugia, Atlantic Highlands. Four nephews, one niece and one great grand niece, and her faithful dog Samantha Ann.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Thursday April 29, from 7-9 pm. Funeral Friday April 30 at 8:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Precious Blood 9:30 am.

Schwiering, Eleanor T.

SCHWIERING, on August 17, 2001, Eleanor T. (nee Mason) of Cape May Court House and Medford. Age 85. Beloved wife of the late Henry J. Schwiering. She is survived by 3 daughters, Katherine M. Sundstrom (Bill) of Atco, Barbara McGranaghan (George) of Medford and Marie C. Curcio (Alex) of Medford. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Schwiering was born and raised in South Camden. At age 65, she retired from her Supervisor position at O & S Research, Riverton. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Church, Medford. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:30am at St. Mary of the Lakes Church, Jackson Rd. Medford. Interment Calvary cemetery, Cherry Hill. Sciranka, RoseMarie

RoseMarie "Nana" Sciranka, 74, of Seaville, died on Monday, November 19, 2001 at her home. Born in McKees Rocks, PA, she summered in Avalon since 1958 before moving to Avalon permanently in 1973. She moved to Seaville in 1989. She was a member of Maris Stella Church in Avalon. She was the operator of a day care center.

Mrs. Sciranka is survived by her husband, Andrew B.; her children, Gara M. Wetzel of Pittsburgh, PA, John A. Sciranka of Woodlyn Hills, CA, Mark S. Sciranka of Seaville, Andrew A. Sciranka, M.D., of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Daneen M. Kudlak, B.S.R.N., of Laurys Station, PA; her sister, Madline Cox of Pittsburgh, PA; and her five grandchildren.

Memorial Liturgy will be said on Friday, November 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Maris Stella Church, 50th Street and Dune Drive, Avalon. Interment is private. Memorials may be made to Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurse Agency, 1801 Route 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210.

Scollante, Andrew J.

Andrew J. Scollante, age 100 of ReLaGrangeville, NY, formerly of Long Branch, died Tuesday, April 6 at Lutheran Care Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. He was a foreman at Bendix, Allied Signal Corporation for 25 years, retiring 25 years ago. He was an Opera singer performing in many Opera's in New York. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in New York City, he lived in Long Branch before moving to New York 5 years ago. He was predeceased by his wife, Bertha Scollante in 1981. Surviving are two sons, Edward H. Daverso of New York and Andrew Scollante, Jr. of New Mexico; a daughter, Deanna Panarello of New York and 7 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 10, at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. Damiano Funeral Home of 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third, Long Branch, is in charge of arrangements.

Scott, James W.

James W. Scott, 92, a local area resident, died on Friday, February 6, 2004, at the Victoria Manor. Mr. Scott was born in Steelton, PA, and had previously lived in Plainfield. He also lived at the Angelsea Beach Colony and the Villas. He served in the US Army during World War II. He formerly worked for the New Jersey Central Railroad and then worked for Col. Joseph A. Aer in Governor's Island as a butler and chauffeur.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Emilie in 2001.

He is survived by his daughter: Nina Scott of Maple Shade; grandson: Raymond Scott; great grandson: Quinton Scott; brother in law: Eugene Allen of Columbia, SC; cousins: Bertha Kennedy and Rosetta Paige of Harrisburg, PA and Francine Bean of New York City; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend and caregiver who he thought of as a daughter: Evelyn McClurkin of Burleigh, NJ.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at 10:00 AM at the Mount Olive Baptist Church, E. Atlantic Av., Cape May Court House, NJ where friends may call at 9:00 AM. Interment is in the William Howard Day cemetery, 801 Lincoln St., Steelton, PA at 3:00 PM. Memorilas may be made to the Mount Olive Baptist Church, 46 E. Atlantic Av., Cape May Court House, NJ. 08210.

Scott, Lekeaitha

Lekeaitha Scott, 19, of Whitesboro, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2003. Born in Baton Rogue, LA, she had lived here for 12 years after moving from West Palm Beach, FL. She was a member of New Hope Pentecostal Independent Church of Christ. She was a waitress at Congress Hall and Union Park in Cape May. She was going into her second year at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, majoring in Child Psychology.

She is survived by her parents, Marion (Scott) and Herman Higgins; her daughter, Destiny Eccles; her brother, Quentin Harris; her sister, Nateka Higgins; her nephews, Treshawn and Evan Harris; her God-sister, Alijah Harris; her maternal grandmother, Jessie Grant; her maternal great grandmother, Mirme James; and a host of aunt, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2003 at 12:00 p.m. at New Hope Pentecostal Independent Church of Christ, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Household of Ruth cemetery, Whitesboro. Memorial donations may be made to the church, 460 Shunpike Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Scully, Jr., Thomas "Bo"

Thomas "Bo" Scully, Jr., 67, of Green Creek/Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at the Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Cherry Hill, NJ. Born in Sayreville, NJ, he has lived here since 1992, coming from South Amboy, NJ. He was a retired Supervisor at the Middlesex County Sewarage Authority, a Marine Vateran, a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, the Villas Fishing Club, and the Wildwood American Legion Post #184.

He is survived by his parents: Thomas and Muriel Scully, Sr.; sons: Thomas Scully, III and Ken Wahler; daughters: Stephanie Spisak, Ellen Banerjea, Susan M. Scully-Hill, Ph.D., CRC, and Alicia Wyzykowski; brother: Lawrence; sister: Muriel Sullivan; and six grandchildren.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, East Mechanic St. and Garden State Parkway, Cape May Court House. There is no calling time. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. Mass cards are appreciated.

Seddon, Edward J.

Edward J. Seddon, 38, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Saturday, March 20, 2004, at the Cooper Medical Center, Camden, NJ.

He was born in Cape May Court House, and was a lifetime resident here. He was employed by Rid-Pest Control of Pleasantville, NJ for the past twelve years. He enjoyed gardening and his pets especially Jackie and Bernard.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather: Maria and Burt Schubert of Del Haven, NJ; father and stepmother: Robert Seddon, Sr., and Carlye of Goshen, NJ; brothers: Robert W. Seddon, Jr., of Dias Creek, NJ, Burdell D. Schubert and wife, Carol of Vineland, NJ, Steven Schubert and wife, Priscilla of Norfolk, VA; sister: Nicole Schubert of Dias Creek, NJ; stepsisters: Carrie Cautrell of Woodstown, NJ, Chriss Glenn of Mantua, NJ; stepbrother: Randall Waterbury of San Diego, CA; companion and best friend: Andrew Ortiz; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at 11:00 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment will be in the New Asbury Methodist cemetery, Swainton, NJ.

Seeley, George J.

On April 23, 2002, of Duluth, Georgia, formerly of Glassboro, NJ. Age 82.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Seeley lived in Glassboro from 1950’s to 1998. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Assumption Council #3397.

Prior to retiring, Mr. Seeley was foreman of Harshaw Chemical Co. in Gloucester City, NJ for 35 years and was the maintenance supervisor at Philadelphia Childrens Hospital. He was a Veteran of WWII and participated in the Normandy Invasion and the Battle of Bulge.

Beloved husband of Georgeine (nee Millar); Dear Father of Kathleen Sullivan and the late George; Loving grandfather of 5 and Dear brother of Eleanor Morett, Marie Curl and James Seeley.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral on Saturday 8:30 AM at the FALCO/CARUSO & LEONARD GLASSBORO FUNREAL HOME, 124 State Street. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM at St. Bridget, Church Street, Glassboro. Interment St. Bridget cemetery, Glassboro, NJ.

Seibel, Helen I.

SEIBEL on June 27, 2002 Helen I. of Tabernacle formerly of Marlton is survived by her beloved husband Joseph. She is also survived by her children Matthew of Lakewood, CO, Deborah (Neil) Lichtenstein of Virginia Beach, VA, Karen (Christopher) Petrongolo of Pitman, NJ, Patricia Helms of Absecon, NJ. Helen was also the mother of the late Jessica Lynn Seibel. She is survived by her sister Betty Kessel of New Plymouth, ID and grandchildren Brittany, Alexandra, Isabelle, Max, and Mark. Helen was a foster mother for the past 25 years with the Children's Home Society of NJ providing loving care for 93 children. 'Helen loved everyone and everyone loved Helen especially her foster, adoptive, and natural children.' The Seibel family will receive friends at the closed casket viewing Sunday evening from 7:00-9:00pm at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd. Marlton (856-983-1005.) Seifert, Ethel G.

Ethel G. Seifert (Nee Bishko) passed away on July 19, 2002 at the Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Marlton, NJ. She was 85 yrs. of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA. she has resided in Mt. Holly, NJ for the past 8 years, moving there from Cinnaminson, NJ. A retired Secretary for the Clark Transfer Trucking Company in Burlington, NJ she was also a Veteran of the Army serving in WWII. She is the wife of the late Francis Seifert. She is survived by her two daughters Lynn Buffington and her husband Dave of Ft. Worth, TX and Susan Graver and her husband Robert of Woodland Twp., NJ. Also 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd. (Rt. 541) Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600), where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in the Beverly National cemetery in Beverly, NJ.
