Santaniello, Patsy John

Santaniello, on August 21, 2002, Patsy John of Marlton, Age 58. Beloved husband of Annie (nee Wakeham) of Marlton. Loving father of John and his wife Pamela of Woolwich Twp., Cheryl A. Santaniello and her husband, Raymond Neville of Cherry Hill and Michele and her husband, David Delgiorno of Woodstown. He is survived by one granddaughter, Gabrielle Margaret Neville. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Santaniello was the President and founder of Liberty Office Systems, Inc., located in Cinnaminson and Baltimore, MD. He was a proud member of the US Marines. Relatives and Friends are invited to the viewing on Friday from 7-9 PM and Saturday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, followed by the Mass of the Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Joan of Arc, Willow Bend Rd., Marlton. Santiago, Annette C.

Annette C. Santiago, 52, of North Wildwood, died on Thursday, February 14, 2002 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. She was born in Atlantic City and was a lifetime resident of Wildwood. She was a member of Asbury AME Church, where she was treasurer for the church. She enjoyed crocheting and craft shows.

Mrs. Santiago is survived by her husband, Jose R. Santiago; her children, Darryl Diggs and his wife, Vanessa of Dover, DE, Barry Diggs of Burleigh, Vincent Diggs, and Joseph Santiago, both of Wildwood; her brothers and sisters, Earl Lawrence of Dallas, TX, Angelin Williams of Philadelphia, PA, Candice Lawrence of Greensboro, NC, Raycelle Pellot of Virginia, and Raymond Hadley; her devoted sister in law, Daisy Lopez; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Asbury AME Church, Young & New Jersey Avenues, Wildwood, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Seaside cemetery, Palermo. Memorials may be made in her name to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260.

SARGEANT, Helen Middleton

Age 95. Died July 18, 2002 at the Fountains in Atco, where she has resided since 1990. Born in East Orange, NJ, Mrs. Sargeant was a member of the Womans Club of Orange and of Calvary United Methodist Church, East Orange. In 1947 she moved to Highland Mills, NY where she became a member of the Cornwall Garden Club in Cornwall, NY. In 1973, she moved back to Leisuretown (Southampton, NJ) and became a member of the Friends of the Library and the local chapter of the AARP. She was a direct decendent of Arthur Middleton, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

She is survived by a son Steven of Saratoga Springs, NY and two nephews and their wives, Harry and Shirley Wauters of Pinehurst, NC, and Byron and Betsy Wauters of Sunset Beach, NC. and her beloved great niece, Cheryl Danners of Berlin.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service 10am Monday at The Fountains, 114 Hayes Mill Rd., Atco.

Private interment will be in Mt Hebron Cem, Upper Montclair, NJ. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Sargeant requested donations to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034

Satiritz, Dorothy

Julia Satiritz nee Novalsky, 91, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Friday morning, August 9, 2002, at the Crest Haven Nursing Home. She formerly lived in Philadelphia. She was the loving wife of the late Nicholas. She was the dear mother of Marilyn and husband Ed Sweeney; Nicholas and wife, Joanne Satiritz; Charles and wife, Shirley Satiritz; beloved grandmother of Karen Biederman and husband, Greg; Michael Conway and wife, Dawn; Scott Satiritz and wife, Denise; Kristin Simons and husband, Robert; great grandmother of Zachary and Travis Satiritz; Julianna, Alexandra and Veronica Biederman; Lauren, Nicole and Caitlin Simons and Amanda.

Julia worked for many years in restaurant management for the Marriott Corporation in Philadelphia. In her retirement, she was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Roslyn, PA and president of their Senior Club. She moved to Cape May Court House four years ago.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Garden State Parkway and East Mechanic St., Cape May Court House, NJ where they may call at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Philadelphia.

Saunders, Jamar Scott

Jamar Scott Saunders, 16, of Whitesboro died Sunday in Millville. He was born in Cape May Court House, and was a lifetime resident here. He was a member of Christ Gospel Church here. He was a student at Middle Township High School, and attended the Creative Achievement Academy in Vineland; he was an avid rapper, played basketball for Middle Township High School, and played PeeWee and JV Football.

He is survived by his mother: Ronda Renee Saunders and his father, Barry Diggs of Whitesboro; a sister: Ariane Ronnice Saunders; his maternal grandparents: Ronald Saunders and Bernice Saunders of Whitesboro; his paternal grandfather: Jacob Moore of Cape May Court House; and a niece: Amani Banks of Whitesboro. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Annette Santiago of North Wildwood.

Services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2002, at 11:00 AM at Christ Gospel Church, George and Anna Sts., Whitesboro, where friends may call 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Household of Ruth cemetery. Memorials may by made to the Christ Gospel Church Building Fund.

Savakis, Dorothy Helen

Dorothy Helen Savakis, 91, of North Wildwood, died on Friday, April 12, 2002 at South Cape Nursing Home, Cape May Court House. She was born in Philadelphia and moved to North Wildwood in 1986 before entering South Cape Nursing Home in 1999.

Mrs. Savakis is survived by her daughter, Dorothy B. Ullrich of North Wildwood; her sisters, Edna Morris and Edith Carothers, both of Philadelphia; her granddaughter, Dottie Mahoney of North Wildwood; her great grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew Mahoney; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1995.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, at Sunset Memorial Park, Philadelphia, PA at 1:30 p.m. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House.

Savich, Alfred L.

SAVICH, on December 10, 2002, Alfred L. of Orlando FL, formerly of Cherry Hill NJ. Age 79. Beloved husband of Maryann (nee O'Neill) Savich of Orlando FL. He is survived by his 3 sons, Ronald A. Savich (Mary) of Marlton, Steven R. Savich of Williamstown and David J. Savich (Patricia) of Marlton, 1 brother, Edward Savich and 5 grandchildren, Jaclyn, Christy, Joseph, Tiffany and Morgan. Born and raised in Chicago, Mr. Savich was a Veteran of the US NAVY and resided in Cherry Hill from 1965-1984. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Monday from 8:30-9:30am at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton. Scafidi, Giovann

Scafidi, Giovanni, age 74, of Williamstown, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, July 19, 2002.

He was born in Belmonte Mezzagno, Sicily. He lived in Williamstown since 1966. He worked for Kessler Clothing Factory in Hammonton then De Rossi in Vineland until he retired. He even came out of retirement to work in his son’s business, Scafidi’s Dry Cleaners in Vineland, where he always the work horse.

He was member of St. Mary’s Parish in Williamstown. He loved sports, especially World Cup Soccer. During his youth he was a superb athlete, champion soccer player and cross-country champion. He was known for his mathematical ability. He was known around the family as the “math genius”, but most of all he will be remembered as the loving, patient, understanding man and the best husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather in the world.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Felicia (nee Carini); sons Joe of Pittsgrove, George and Frank both of Williamstown; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and 1 sister Rosario of Torino, Italy, Andrea, Giacomo and Rosa of Belmonte Mezzagno, Sicily.

His viewing will be held tonight 6-8 pm and Tuesday 8:30-9:30 am at the BELL-HENNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 420 S. Main St., Williamstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church, Main St. and Carroll Ave., Williamstown. Interment St. Mary’s cemetery, Williamstown.

Scarano, Nicolena Caroline "Lee"

Nicolena Caroline "Lee" Scarano, age 95 of Newark died Saturday April 17 at Alameda Care Center, Perth Amboy. She worked in the accounting department at Tung-Sol Electric, later known as Wagner Electric in Newark for over 40 years, taking mandatory retirement at 65. After a brief respite, she took a position in the accounting department at Montclair State Teachers College, where she remained for 12 years, finally retiring in 1985 to care for her sick brother, Carl. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Newark. Born in Newark, she spent her early years in Long Branch before returning to Newark. She is predeceased by her 3 brothers, Ben, Carl, and Rocco, 2 sisters, Anna and Flora and a nephew Thomas Zegarelli. Although she never married , she was a doting aunt to her nieces and nephews, Mary Lou Brady Cary of New York; Marilyn DeSantis of Los Gatos, CA; Anthony Zegarelli of Hopelawn; Robert Scarano of Franklin Park; John Scarano of Montville; Kathryn McGinty of Coopersburg, PA and 14 grandnieces and grandnephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Friday, April 30, from 9 am to 10:30 am followed by 11 am Mass at St. Dorothea's Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the St Vincent de Paul Society at St Michael's Church, 800 Ocean Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740.

Scarduzio, Honorable Albert J.

Honorable Albert J. Scarduzio, died peacefully on December 8, 2001, surrounded by his loved ones, to join his beloved wife, Antoinette (nee Bocchicchio), his parents, Thomas Scarduzio and Florence (nee Colzaretti) and his 13 brothers and sisters. Of Westmont, formerly of Cherry Hill, Camden and Ocean City. Devoted father of Albert J. Scarduzio, Jr and his wife Carolyn of Monticello, Maine and Nancy and her husband, Michael Deckard of Ocean City, NJ. Loving grandfather of Jason M., Lorie, Jamie, Michael, Nicholas, Mark, Jancy, Jason B. and Leslie; great grandfather of Hannah, Hunter, Alia and Lydia. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Prior to retiring in 1991, Honorable Albert Scarduzio was a Camden County Superior Court judge for 10 years. Prior to that he was a Camden City Solicitor, Camden County Counsel, First Assistant Prosecutor for Camden County and a Solicitor for Winslow Township. He was a member of the American Legion 274, and former member of the Unione E. Forza and Knights of Columbus. He was inducted into the SJ Fast Pitch Hall of Fame and was a US Army Veteran of WWII, where he served on the War Crimes Commission in Japan. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, 12:00 PM at the Church of St. Vincent Pallotti, 901 Hopkins Rd, Haddon Twsp, NJ 08033 where there will be a viewing from 9:45 AM. Interment will follow at New St. Mary’s cemetery, Bellmawr. Scarfo, Rocco V.

Rocco V. Scarfo on February 16, 2003 of the Sunrise Assisted Living Facility in Wooodbury; formerly of Camden and Pennsauken, NJ; age 83 years. Beloved son of the late Mary DiCarlo and Philip Scarfo; Dear Brother of the late, Filomena Borreggine, Theresa Borreggine, Sr. Rose M. Scarfo, M.P.F., Martha DelPalazzo, Kay Scarfo and Amerigo (Mingie) Scarfo. He is survived by Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Prior to retirement in 1993, Mr. Scarfo owned and operated Scarfo Real Estate and Travel King Travel Agency. He was a United States Army Veteran as a Tech Sgt. during WWII. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and was a former Man of the Year. He was also a longtime parishioner of St. Stephen's Church in Pennsauken where he was former head usher and editor of the church bulletin.

Schacker, William H.

WILLIAM "Harry" SCHACKER of Southampton, NJ, passed away on Saturday, Apr. 19th, 2008 at the Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was 73 yrs. of age. Born in Camden, NJ, he has resided in Southampton for the past 35 yrs. An Operating Engineer for Local 825 of Springfield, NJ, he has been a member of the union for 38 yrs and was also an Instructor at the training center for 4 yrs. He was formerly in the US Coast Guard and served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He is the Beloved Husband of Patricia Schacker of Southampton, NJ and the Loving Father of Melodie A. Gordon of Atco, NJ, Jamie A. Schacker and his wife Joanne of Southampton, NJ, Christine Bennett and her husband Ward of Lumberton, NJ and Andrew DiMaio and his wife Kristine of Southampton, NJ. He is also survived by his Grandchildren Chelsea, Maxwell and Samuel Gordon, Alysia Schacker, and Andrew, Jessica and Dylan DiMaio. Schairer, John D.

JOHN D. SCHAIRER, "Jack", passed away on Thursday, April 15th, 2004 at his home in Medford, NJ. He was 64 yrs. of age. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he is the son of the late Hans & Irene Schairer and has lived in Medford for the past 31 yrs. He formerly resided in Medford Lakes and grew up in Blackwood, NJ. A Registered Municipal Accountant with Bowman & Co. in Voorhees, NJ he worked with them for 36 years until 1994. A graduate of Temple University with a degree in Accounting, he was a member of the Little Mill Country Club, a former member of the Medford Lakes Jaycees and a Past Pres. Of the Registered Municipal Accountants Assoc. He is the beloved husband of Linda R. (Nee Peak) Schairer of Medford, NJ and the loving Father of Douglas J. Schairer of Oaklyn, NJ & his fiancée Kristen Koenig and Victoria R. Marshall and her husband Matthew of West Palm Beach, FL. He is also survived by his brother Ronald K. Schalek, Charles M.

Charles M. Schalek, 93, of Villas, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia to the late Frederick and Mary (Mudry) Schalek, he lived here for over 40 years. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and served on the USS Omaha, USS New Jersey, and USS Chevalier. He was a member of the VFW, the DAV and the Villas Fishing Club. He was a life member of the NRA and American Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed duck hunting and being a motorcycle mechanic.

Mr. Schalek is survived by his niece, Joan Schalek Holmes; his nephews, Fred Schalek and his wife, Rosemary, Bill Schalek and his wife, Jill, and Joey Schalek. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; and great great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pansy V. Schalek on December 16, 1985.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Casimir's Church, Woodbine. Viewing will be held on Friday, April 2, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Casimir's Church, 304 Clay Street, Woodbine, NJ 08270 or to the charity of one's choice.

Schaudeck, Lisa Jarvis

LISA L. JARVIS SCHAUDECK, 38, of OCEANPORT, died Thursday at home. She was a waitress and bartender at the Oceanport Cafe for eight years. Born in Plainfield, she lived in Long Branch before moving to Oceanport four years ago.

Surviving is her mother, Jean Conover of Hackettstown.

A memorial gathering will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and obitpix Franklin avenues, Long Branch. Memorial donations can be made to the SPCA, P.O. Box 93, Eatontown.
