Ross, Pearl Mae

Pearl Mae Ross, 68, of Wildwood, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at Court House Convalescent Center. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved here 40 years ago. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Ross; five brothers; four sisters; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be private under the direction of the Radzieta Funeral Home.

Ross, Robert S.

ROSS, Robert S. On December 20, 2008. Of Marlton, NJ. Age 87. Beloved husband of sixty one years to Jonnie (nee Wimberly). Loving father of Richard (Gisela) Ross of Cherry Hill and Keith (Veronique) Ross of NYC. Caring grandfather of four granddaughters. Robert was a Life Master Bridge Player and member of the Cavendish Club in NYC and the South Jersey Bridge Club in Cherry Hill. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.

Ross, Ann Ippolito Oxley

Ann Ippolito Oxley Ross, age 91 of Long Branch died Friday, January 28, 2005 at Jersey Shore Care Center, Eatontown. She was the former director of the Monmouth Community Action Program in Long Branch for many years. She served as a member of the Advisory Board to the Monmouth County Office on Aging; was assistant director of the Red Bank Senior Center; member of the children's Services child abuse task force and secretary of the juvenile program. She was honored by Gov. Kean in 1987 for her volunteer work with senior citizens, where she was Monmouth County's number one senior citizen at that time. She was an accomplished seamstress all her life making draperies, wedding gowns, clothes for her self and family. She taught sewing classes at Singers Sewing Center, Long Branch, Star of the Sea Academy, and at many area senior centers. Using her skills, she assisted in the development of a banner for Senior Citizens Month (1986) which was put on display in the Rotunda of the State Capitol in Trenton. Mrs. Ross was active in politics most of her life, being the Republican chairman in Long Branch for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 2140, Long Branch; Past President of the Long Branch Elks Auxiliary 742; San Alfonso Ladies Auxiliary; The NJ Lighthouse Society; Camp Happiness for the Blind; past president of AARP, local chapter in Oakhurst. Born in Montclair, she attended school there until moving to Long Branch with her family to open the Hartford Hotel on Broadway. She was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, past president of the Altar Rosary Society and past president of the Star of the Sea PTA. She was predeceased by parents, Michael and Concetta Ippolito, her 2 husbands, Barrett Oxley, Sr., and Joe E. Ross, a son, Larry Oxley, a daughter, Patricia Oxley, a brother, Army Ippolito, 3 sisters, Minnie Arnone, Adele Suozzo, and Mary Salzarullo and a grandson, Steven Oxley.

Surviving are 5 sons, and 4 daughters in law, Barrett and Eileen Oxley, Lakewood; Joseph and Ruth Oxley, Middletown; Richard Oxley, New Mexico; Jim and Sharon Oxley, California; John Oxley, California; Lynda Oxley, Bradley Beach; 2 daughters and 2 sons in law, Margaret and Jack Hodge, Bayville; Ann and Joe Olivadoti, Long Branch; 2 sisters, Lillian Pierquidi, Naples, Fla; Rita Murphy, Carlisle, PA; 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, many close and devoted friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 31, from 2-4, 7-9 pm at Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave on the corner of Third, Long Branch. Funeral Tuesday at 10:00 am from the funeral home followed by a 11:00 am Mass Star of the Sea Church. Interment will be at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Camp Happiness, 18 Burlington Ave, Leonardo, NJ 07737.

Ross, Howard G.

Howard G. Ross, 44, of Ocean City, passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on October 27, 2004. He is loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Howard grew up in Cape May County, graduating from Middle Township High School in 1978 where he was a member of the NJROTC. After graduation he went on to join the Navy. He most recently worked for the Wesley Manor Nursing Home where he enjoyed caring for the residents. His many interests include art, music, reading and a love of computers.

Howard is survived by an adoring son, Derek, of Chicago, IL; loving parents Frank and Jacque Ross, of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother, Robert Ross and wife Leah, of Northfield and a sister, Sheri Umscheid and husband Kurt, of Galloway. He will be sadly missed by nephews Robert Ross, Tom Umscheid and nieces Jennifer Umscheid, Hailee Ross, and Caitlyn and Ariel Caputo.

A Memorial service will be held, Monday November 1 at 11:00 am at the First Methodist Church, 1 Church Street, Cape May Court House. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Derek Ross College Fund c/o Boardwalk Bank, 201 Shore Road, P O Box 279, Linwood, NJ 08221.

Rosser, Philip C.

PHILIP C. ROSSER, passed away on Sunday, January 4th, 2004 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Cherry Hill, NJ. He was 83 years of age. Born in Wales, he resided in Medford for the past 53 yrs. A retired Chicken Farmer he owned and operated Rosser's Poultry Farm in Medford from 1951 to 1965. From 1965 to 1972 he was a night Foreman for Sears & Roebuck in Pennsauken, NJ. He was also a member of the NJ Farm Bureau. He is the beloved husband of Millicent T. (Nee Fenk) Rosser of Medford, NJ and the loving father of Susan D. Caton of N.C., Philip D. Rosser of Swedesboro, NJ, Debra L. Lacey of N.C., Phyllis E. Fenimore of Lumberton, NJ, Brian S. Rosser of FL, James A. Rosser of Glassboro, NJ and Elizabeth M. Rosser of Medford, NJ. He is also survived by his 6 Grandchildren Justin Caton, Philip Rosser, James & Samuel Lacey, and Donald & Amanda Fenimore. Rossetti, Margaret Mary

Margaret Mary Rossetti, 80, of Stone Harbor, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, January 3, 2010. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Frank and Margaret (nee Donnelly) Thompson and was a graduate of Little Flower High School and played in their band. She moved here permanently in 1997 from Philadelphia after summering since 1977. She and her husband owned Canterbury Court, Inc., Krewstown Park, and Sorenson Arms amongst others in Philadelphia. She enjoyed playing tennis in Stone Harbor, Cape May, and Florida. She loved dancing and danced with the Starlite Steppers. She had a terrific sense of humor and was fun to be around.

Mrs. Rossetti is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert; her daughter, Peggy Rossetti Ciccone; her son, Joe Rossetti; her sister, Joan Lane; her brother, Frank Thompson; and her seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Rossetti and her daughter, Carol Rossetti Shute.

Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 99th Street and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Head of the River cemetery, Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

ROSSETTI, Albert C., Sr.

On January 8, 2007. Age 86. Of Vineland, formerly of Pitman for 45 years. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn P. (nee Sturgis). Loving father of Anita (William) Bullock of Williamstown and Albert Rossetti, Jr. of Vineland. Dear brother of Jessie Mazzarella, Rose Ambrose, Theresa McGinn, Mary DeSorte, Leonard Rossetti, and the late Dominick and the late Rudolph. Son of the late Giovanni and Olimpia (nee Palombo) Rossetti. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Rossetti was a veteran of the Navy during WWII. He served as an insurance salesman for 30 years for Metlife in Camden and Woodbury, then worked for Fidelity Title Abstract Co. in Cherry Hill for 25 years. Rothenbiller, John E.

John E. Rothenbiller, 34, of Villas, NJ, died on Saturday, July 29, 2006, at his home. He was born in Cape May Court House, NJ and was a lifetime resident here. He was a commercial fisherman. He was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Shaula Woehlcke; his father, John E. of Belleplain; three brothers: Marty and Brad Rothenbiller of Belleplain and Keith Force of DE; his aunts: Marjorie Walls of Town Bank; Karen Magnavita, Nancy Rothenbiller and Jean Freas of Villas; Connie Thompson, Kay Jammon and Leann Tracey; his uncles: Kim Rothenbiller of N. Wildwood; Charles "Chip" Talley, Thomas Lowe and Horace "Bud" Cornell; maternal grandmother, Lillian Dickerson Talley and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynn; a brother, Thomas Force; his paternal grandparents: Jack and Dorothy Rothenbiller. Rothenbiller, Kim David

Kim David Rothenbiller, 55, of Villas, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Cape May Court House to the late George E. and Dorothy M. (Brehm) Rothenbiller, Jr., he was a lifetime resident here. He was a life member and former Chief of the Villas Volunteer Fire Department and a life member of the New Jersey Fireman's Association. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He grew up in 4-H. Kim supported his nephews at their sporting events.

Kim is survived by his daughter, Victoria Aerial; his brothers and sisters, John Rothenbiller of Belleplain, Margaret Rothenbiller of Town Bank, Nancy Rothenbiller of Villas, Karen Magnavita of Villas, Jean Freas of Villas, and Horace Cornell of Marcus Hook, PA; his nieces and nephews, Martin and Brad Rothenbiller, Jamey Hermanns, Christopher Hermanns, Richard Safford, III, Ricky Willey, Jr., Alicia Maganvita, Jessica Magnavita, and Shula Wohlecke; and his aunt, Margaret Siracuse, Largo, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, John Rothenbiller, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private in Tabernacle United Methodist Church cemetery. Rothenbiller, Dorothy M.

Dorothy M. Rothenbiller, 74, died on Saturday, October 5, 2002, at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, and moved here fifty four years ago from Buffalo, NY. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. She was a 4-H leader for thirty years having been a member of the 4-H Leaders Association and the English Circuit of South Jersey. She founded the Lower Township Pony Driving Club. She was involved with the Villas Fire Company for over 40 years having been made an honorary life member; she served as fire commissioner and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was secretary to the first Fire Marshall of Cape May County, George Costell.

She is survived by these children: John E. of Belleplain, Kim D. and Mary of Villas, Marge and Steve of Town Bank, Nancy and Rick of Villas, and Karen Magnavita of Villas; four foster children: Jean Freas of Villas, Horace (Bud) Cornell of Marcus Hook, PA, Joseph Johnson of North Carolina, and Robert Simon of Chicago, IL; ten grandchildren: John Rothenbiller, Jr. and Shaula, Marty Rothenbiller and Bradd Rothenbiller, Jamey Hermanns and Midge, Christopher Hermanns, Ricky Safford, Alicia and Jessica Magnavita, Victoria Rothenbiller, and Ricky Willey; and four great grandchildren: Bradd and Ethan Rothenbiller, and Arthur and Veronica Hermanns. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Edmond, Jr. and a foster daughter, Sandra Lee Dallas.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2002, at 1:00 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, where friends may call at 12:00 noon. Rothermel, Helen J.

HELEN J. ROTHERMEL, passed away on Thursday, June 24nd, 2004 at the Virtua Rehab & Nursing Center in Berlin, NJ. She was 84 yrs. of age. Born in Reading, PA, she is the daughter of the late Joseph & Sara Rothermel. She resided in Voorhees, NJ for the past 3 yrs., moving there from Laurel Springs, NJ. A retired Home Economics Teacher at the Overbrook Jr. High School in Lindenwold, NJ, she taught there for 35 years until her retirement in 1980. She is a graduate of Muhlenburg Twp. H.S. and of Albright College in Reading, PA. During her tenure at Overbrook she was very involved in the Future Homemakers of America was a member of the A.H.E. Assoc., the N.E.A., the N.J.E.A., the Camden Co. E.A. and was a long time member of the Woman's Club of Laurel Springs where she was a Past President and Past Treasurer. She also enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross. She is survived by her sister Eleanor Louise McGuinness of Zellwood, FL her brother Joseph Rothermel of Corning, NY, and her 6 nieces Deborah McGuinness of Stanford, CA, Pamela Cowan of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Carol Mann of Stonington, CT, Diana Kemp of Virginia Beach, VA, Beverly Rothermel of Bedford, TX and Faith Rothermel of Corning, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Sunday, July 11th from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 433 Park Ave., Laurel Springs, NJ, where a Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM. Rourke, Jo-Anne

Jo-Anne Rourke, of Rio Grande, passed away on November 25, 2001 at the Genesis Nursing Home in North Cape May. She was born Jo-Anne Patricia Devine in Boston, Massachusetts on October 5, 1911.

She is survived by her children, Carol Conway, Jack Rourke, Norma Rourke, Elaine Toth, Debbie Rourke, Kathy Rourke Shivers, and Kelly Harkin, all of Cape May County. She was predeceased by two children, Michael Rourke and Georgina Cavagnaro of Cape May County. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Jo-Anne was a professional entertainer, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, known as Mum and Nana to those who loved her. She studied theater and the arts, then went on to stage work and radio until 1948, when she became a single parent. She spent the next 50 years raising her children and being involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Wednesday, November 28, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's cemetery, Goshen, to be with her mother, Kathryn Devine, her brother, Charles Devine, and her son, Michael.

Routzahn, Jr., Ralph R.

ROUTZAHN, RALPH R., JR. on August 3, 2006 of Maple Shade, NJ formerly of Mt. Laurel, NJ. Age 74. Beloved fiancé of the late Patricia McCausland. Loving son of Harriet Routzahn (nee Peters) and the late Ralph R. Sr. Devoted father of Jeffrey, Gary (Susan Slevenski), Glenn ( Martha) and Deborah Hartzel (Thomas) and their mother, Dolores Routzahn. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey Jr., Krystle, Beverly, Jennifer, Stephanie, Glenn Jr., David, Gary Jr., Steven, Patrick, Sarah and Kevin. Dear brother of the late Peter Routzahn. Also survived by sister in law Ruth Smooty. Prior to retirement, Ralph worked as a mailer/operator for the Triangle Publications, Philadelphia Inquirer and the Courier Post for Local #1414 out of Philadelphia. JOHN FRANCIS ROWAN, JR.

On April 5, 2002, of Marlton. Age 63. He is the son of Helen (nee Gallagher) Rowan and the late John F. Rowan, Sr. of Marlton Also survived by his sister Lynne Rowan-Mogell and his nephew Russell Rowan of Voorhees and four children Shawn Rowan of Collegeville, PA, Darren, Nicole and Janine Rowan of Gibbsboro. Mr. Rowan was retired from Pepsi-Cola Bottling in Pennsauken, and was a Veteran of the Marine Corps.

Rowe, Shirley Ann

Shirley Ann Rowe, 49, of North Cape May, died on Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. She was born at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital and was a lifetime resident of Cape May County. She worked as a bookkeeper at Burke Motors.

She is survived by her parents, David and Shirley (May) Rowe; her sister, Dawn Rowe of St. Petersburg, FL; and her nephew, David J. Rowe of Gainesville, FL.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Baptist cemetery, Cape May Court House. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201.

Rowell, Ann Theresa Moyer

Ann Theresa Moyer Rowell, 71, a former resident of Cape May Court House, NJ, died Saturday, January 24, 2004 after a long illness. She was born in Butler, PA, and moved to Cape May Court House in 1981. She worked at Crest Haven Nursing Home for 15 years as a Nurses' Aide. After marrying her husband, William D. Rowell in 1995, she moved to Elmer, NJ and worked at Mater Dei Nursing Home. Ann was known as a loving, caring, and amusing woman. She enjoyed throughout her life many things; among those things were shopping, fishing, doll and spoon collecting, and baking, especially banana bread with her family and loved ones. She loved to make people laugh and thought nothing of spreading her personal joy and happiness to others by giving jellies, jams, and banana bread that she and Bill made. She was a member of St. Ann's Church in Elmer; a member of Branch 51 Fleet Reserve of National Park, and volunteered and served as treasurer of Fund Rainsing Activities at Mater Dei Nursing Home. She spent her life as a wonderful mother of seven; grandmother of fifteen; and a great grandmother of ten. She is survived by her devoted husband, William D.; her children, Ann Davis, Kathleen Fanelli, Mary Larsen, Wayne Moyer, George Moyer, Roseanne Harurci, and David Moyer; and her beloved dog, Holly Sue. Her life is admired by all. Her memories are fond. Undoubtedly, she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Garden State Parkway and East Mechanic St., Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may call 9:00 to 10:45 AM. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's cemetery, Goshen, NJ. Memorials may be made to Mater Dei Nursing Home, 176 Harding Highway, Route 40, Newfield, NJ 08344.

Rowley, Kevin C.

ROWLEY, KEVIN C., on August 22, 2007. Age 32. Lifelong resident of Cherry Hill, NJ. Beloved son of Janet and Bud Clancy. Loving brother of Terri Lieg and her husband Brian, Robert Rowley, and Chris Clancy and his wife Rachael. Also survived by his aunt and uncle, Kathy Walling and Michael Carson, and nephews, Chris, Matthew, and Patrick Lieg, and Tom Ritchey. Kevin was a graduate of Cherry Hill East High School. He worked as a DJ and was a member of the Freemason's Society. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Monday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Funeral Service will be 11:00 Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Westminster cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, PA.

Laurel, NJ age 76 survived by his daughter Kathleen Recce of Newtown Sq., and a brother Emile Pierre Roy Jr. of Wyndmoor, PA Mr. Roy is the father of the late Brian Roy. The Roy family will receive friends Monday 11AM - 12:00 NOON at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt 73 & Evesham Rd. Marlton (856 983 1005) Interment will follow in the Colestown Cem, Cherry Hill. Rubendall, Mary A. (Nee Barth)

On January 26, 2004 of Laurel Springs formerly of Collingswood and Marlton age 80 yrs. Devoted mother of Mary Rosemiller of Laurel Springs. Dear sister of Marty Barth of AZ, Phil Barth of Woodlyn, George Barth of Shamong Twp., Joe Barth of Mt. Laurel, Jane Woodfield of Berlin, and Helen Malaspina of Bordentown. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth Anne Rosemiller. Ms. Rubendall worked for West Jersey Health Systems in Berlin for many years. She was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Marlton where she was a CCD teacher. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday from 2 to 3PM at the METTS-POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Road Barrington, NJ where there will be a memorial service at 3PM. Interment private at the convenience of the family.
