PLATT, JOSHUA PAUL suddenly on April 15, 2004 of Mt. Laurel and Philadelphia, age 52 years. He leaves behind his wife, Lisa DiChiara Platt. His two children, the center of his life, Jacob and Emily. Loving parents Allen and Judy Platt. Dear brothers, Tom and Robert Platt and sister, Tess Hemphill. Josh was a psychologist in a private practice in Philadelphia for over 20 years. He had a down to earth approach to therapy and amazing empathy with his patients. He loved movies, hardboiled mysteries and friends and family. He also lived to laugh and have a good time. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 S. and Evesham Rd. in Marlton. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10 AM at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 401 N. Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Interment will take place privately. Pleasants, Howard S.

Pleasants, Howard S., 62, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at his home. Born in Philadelphia to Howard and Nancy (formerly Bent) Pleasants, he and his family summered in Stone Harbor since 1949 before moving permanently in 1955. He taught Accounting at Atlantic Community College and was a chess fanatic.

Howard is survived by his sister, Marcia Pleasants of Seattle, WA and his nieces, Katrina Blum also of Seattle, and Sarah Blum of Vermont. Funeral Services are private.

Pliszczak, Julian

PLISZCZAK, Julian on October 15, 2002 age 75. Husband of Nancy (nee Feyhl-Coffield) . Father of Nancy and her husband Paul Testa of Maple Shade, Teresa Coffield of Mt Laurel, Dawn and her husband Rob Hausman of Marlton, and Glenn and his wife Shannon (nee Garback) of Marlton. Grandfather of Billy Testa. Survived by his sister Dorothy Pliszczak of Bensalem, PA. Also survived by his nephew Sam Allen and niece Linda Allen. Mr. Pliszczak served in the Navy during WWII, and was a Teamster in Philadelphia Local 107 for 40 years. Plum, Francis C.

Francis "Fran" C. Plum, 92, of Rio Grande, NJ, died on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at the North Cape Center, North Cape May, NJ. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved here in 1957 from the Kensington Section. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, the Rio Grande Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Squad, and the Millman Senior Center. He was a sales representative for the Paramount Chemical Company before retirement.

He is survived by a daughter: Kathy A. Sanders of Cape May Court House, NJ; a sister: Dorothy Fink of North Cape May, NJ; a daughter-in-law: Suzi Plum of North Wildwood, NJ; three grandchildren: Dan and Olivia Sanders, Terri and Gregg White, Shelly and Marc Voumard; and ten great grandchildren: Nathaniel and Katie Sanders, Joe, Chris, Jeff, and Danielle White, and Genee', Max, Marcel, and Gabriel Voumard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, and a son, Robert.

Mass of Resurrection will be said on Monday, June 13, 2005, at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, East Mechanic St. and Garden State Parkway, Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may call at 12:00 PM. Plunkett (Rogers), Margaret Joyce

Margaret Joyce (nee Hencken) Plunkett (Rogers), 85, of Edgewood Village, Rio Grande, passed away on January 7, 2010 at her home. Born in Trenton, NJ to the late Raymond and Mary Elizabeth (nee Apgar) Hencken, she has lived here for the last 15 years after moving from Philadelphia, PA.

Joyce was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. She spent her summer weekends at Driftwood Campground. She always cared for the less fortunate and supported the missions and Catholic charities.

She is survived by her husband, William A. Plunkett; her children, Margaret Joyce (nee Rogers) Bradley (Joseph), Raymond Rogers (Betsy), Robert Rogers, Richard Rogers (Denise), Janet (nee Rogers) Callahan (Thomas), and John Rogers (Liz); her stepchildren, Virginia (nee Plunkett) Rementer (Ed), Patricia (nee Plunkett) Donohoe (Peter), William Plunkett (Kathy), Daniel Plunkett (Kimberly), and Ann Marie (nee Plunkett) LaRochelle (Matthew); 30 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Raymond "Bud" Hencken, her sister Betty Hencken, her stepdaughter Ruth Plunkett and her granddaughter Heather Rogers.

Poe, Elsie Valeria Himstedt

Elsie Valeria Himstedt Poe (Tomlin), 87, of Kissimmee, FL, formally of Rio Grande where she resided for 64 years, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009. She was co-owner with her husband, Kurt A. Himstedt of Himstedt's Rustic Cabins in Rio Grande. She was a member of the Rio Grande Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and of the Nazarene Church of Kissimmee, FL. She graduated from Middle Township High School in 1940.

She is predeceased by her parents Andrew and Beatrice Tomlin; her first husband Kurt A. Himstedt; a brother Monroe "Flick" Tomlin; and a sister Laura "Lolly" Baker.

She is survived by her present husband Jack W. Poe of Kissimmee, FL; her sons Kurt K. Himstedt (Jean) and Eric L. Himstedt (Diane); one brother Carl Tomlin (Mildred) of Sequin, TX; a sister Ethel Welch (George) of Millville; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court House. Polhamus, William H.

William H. Polhamus, 80, a lifetime resident of Wildwood, NJ, died on Friday, February 28, 2003, at the J.F. Kennedy Hospital, Stratford, NJ. He was born in Wildwood and lived here until he moved to Clementon, NJ recently.

He was a 1942 graduate of Wildwood High School. He was retired from the City of North Wildwood as a municipal court clerk after 20 years and then retired from the Services and Facilities at the Cape May County Airport in 1987. He was a member of the Tenant's Assoc. of Wooster Towers in Clementon, NJ.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Mary C. nee Reeve; three children: Timothy R. of Philadelphia, PA, Brian W. of West Wildwood, NJ, and Debbie Caquiat and her husband, Dan of Erial, NJ; two grandsons: Daniel and Joshua Caquiat.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at 1:00 PM at the Baptist cemetery, Church St., Cape May Court House, NJ. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 3551 North Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.

On April 18, 2008. Age 61. After a long and valiantly fought battle. Everything he did, he did for his family with love and affection. Beloved husband of Joann (nee Lanzetta). POLIDORO (CLOWAR), JEANNE A. (nee Adams) on October 8, 2004 of Southampton, formerly of Cherry Hill. Age 79. Beloved wife of Lou. Devoted mother of Jack Clowar and his wife Pam of Marlton, Stephen Clowar and his wife Susan of Southampton and Clark Clowar and his wife Paula of Carlsbad, CA. Loving grandmother of Nathan, Jason, Chris, Megan, Jessica, Macaela and Shayne and great grandmother of Curtis and Rachel. Jeanne received her Masters degree in education from Temple University. Prior to retirement in 1986, she was an English and Shakespeare teacher at Cherry Hill East and West High Schools for over 30 years. Jeanne was an avid artist and enjoyed teaching the seniors in Southampton art. Polise, Francis

Francis Polise, 82, of Tuckahoe, died on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. He was born in Ocean City and was a lifetime county resident. He was retired from Wheaton Glass Company as a master carpenter. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion of Tuckahoe, the V.F.W. of Belleplain, and the Upper Township Senior Citizens. He enjoyed woodcrafting, playing pool, playing cards, and being with friends.

Mr. Polise is survived by his son, Dr. Michael F. of Cherry Hill; his brothers, Dominic of Florida, Joseph of New York, Anthony, and James, both of Millville; his sister, Angie Pettit, Mary Kone, both of Belleplain, and Teresa Shone of Palermo; and his granddaughters, Lisa and Sherry.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's cemetery, Goshen.

Pollock, William C.

POLLOCK, William C. 'Willie', suddenly on January 25, 2010, of Marlton NJ since 2005, born and raised in Jefferson City MO. Age 28. Beloved husband of April L. Pollock (nee Dunn). Loving son of Carl A., Jr. and Patricia Jo Pollock. Dear brother of Dr. Jennifer Schnieders and her husband, Jay, Zach Pollock and his wife Dr. Ann Pollock and Patrick Pollock. Dear uncle of Archer and Dawson Schnieders. He is the loving son in law of Anne Dunn and the late Frank Dunn, and brother in law of the late Stephen Dunn. Willie is also survived by his beloved dog, Molly. Willie was employed by URS Corp. at Fort Dix NJ. He was a planner and enjoyed hunting with his brothers, uncles and cousins. Family was the most important part of the fabric of Willie's life, and he will always be remembered as a devoted husband to April. POND, GLORIA L. (nee Essich) on October 17, 2006 of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Westminster, MD. Age 80. Beloved wife of the late General Sage, Jr. and the late Bud Pond. Devoted mother of Timothy Sage and his wife Patricia. Loving grandmother of Jill, Melanie & Morgan. Gloria worked as a Registered Surgical Nurse at Johns Hopkins Univ. Hospital and an ER nurse at various Southern New Jersey hospitals before her retirement. Pool, Marion F.

Marion F. Pool, 56, of Longport, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2006. Born in Paterson to the late Ralph Lawrence and Veronica A.J. (Davis) Pool, she had lived in Longport for six years after living in Pleasantville for over 20 years. She received a bachelor's degree from Tusculum College and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She was the Director of Continuing Education at Atlantic Cape Community College. Marion enjoyed fine dining and traveling to different places around the world. She liked camping and photography.

Marion is survived by her two brothers, Lawrence R. Pool and his wife, Cheryl of Newport News, VA, and Ralph R. Pool and his loving companion, Marilyn Brown of Fruit Cove, FL; her dear friend and companion, James J. Dougherty of Longport; her niece Jenna Pool; and her nephew, LCPL Jonathan Pool.

A private gathering to celebrate Marion's life will be held at the convenience of the family. POOLE, GEORGE J., JR. on April 28, 2005, of Marlton, NJ. Formerly of Wantagh, Long Island. George was 58. Loving husband of Denise E. (nee DeRespinis). Son of Gertrude Poole. Beloved and dedicated father of Todd J. and Cory M. Poole. Granddad and Godfather of Madeleine Elaine Poole. Also survived by his six sisters: Mary Anne Quigley, Louise Duffy, Barbara Byrne, Geralyn Walters, Joan Ellen Rawson and Elizabeth Vandermolen. George was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Delaware Law School in 1975 and worked for the Department of Veterans' Affairs for 27 years. For many years, George coached soccer and baseball for the Marlton Rec Council. Poppalardo, Jack A. On December 24, 2006. Of Voorhees. Age 86.

Beloved husband of Marie (nee Augustino). Devoted father of Jacqueline, Pamela and Wayne. Loving grandfather of Michele, Maureen, Douglas, Matthew, Lauren, Simon and Madeleine and great-grandfather of Gabrielle, Gerard Paul, Emily, Ava, Elizabeth and Anthony Jack. He joined the National Guard at age 15. He served in World War II as 1st Lieutenant, AAA Battalion #475, for which he established an annual reunion, and later did further duty in the National Guard. He retired as District Manager from Prudential after 31 years and was a member of the Square Circle Sportsman Club, the Haddonfield 65 Club, and the Snowflake Golfers. He was an active parishioner of Holy Rosary Church. His greatest joys were his wife Marie of 64 years, his family and sharing stories. Viewing 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 28, Holy Rosary Church, Burnt Mill Road, Cherry Hill. Mass celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Marie (nee Augustino) Poppalardo. On April 10, 2008. Age 88. Beloved wife of the late Jack A. Devoted mother of Jacqueline, Pamela and Wayne. Loving mother-in-law of Richard Gaines. Loving friend of Barbara Edelman Poppalardo and Mary Burke. Dear sister of Anna Graham. Adored Nana of Michele Barrila, Maureen (Gerard) Compagnoni, Douglas (Sharleen) Poppalardo, Simon and Madeleine Gaines, Matthew and Lauren Poppalardo. Loving great-grandmother of Gabrielle Barrila, Gerard Paul, Emily, and Ava Compagnoni, and Elizabeth and Anthony Jack Poppalardo.Marie became a hairdresser at age 16 and owned Marie's Beauty Salon on Berlin Road in Woodcrest for 28 years. She was a faithful parishioner of Holy Rosary Church. Her greatest joys were her husband Jack of 64 years and her family. Marie advised others, including her family, to "put a little humor in it" and described life's adventures as "one more time." She was a volunteer hairdresser at St. Mary's Nursing Home for 30 years. Marie, who believed deeply in education, achieved a lifelong ambition when she received her high school diploma in 2003. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM Monday, April 14 at Holy Rosary Church, Burnt Mill Road, Cherry Hill, NJ. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marie Poppalardo Cosmetology Scholarship, c/o Burlington County Institute of Technology, Westampton Campus, 695 Woodlane Road, Westampton, NJ 08060. She was extraordinary in her strength and her love.

On April 2, 2005 of Cherry Hill. Age 91. Beloved wife of the late Harry A. Porch. Beloved mother of Robert W. Porch and stepmother of I. Beatrice Hepp, Margaret Booze, and the late Helen Dugan and Doris Hess. Grandmother of 12, great grandmother of 25 and great great grandmother of 23. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 7-8pm Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Funeral Service 8pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Interment 11am Wednesday at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson

Porras, Grace

Grace Porras, 60, of Williamstown died Thursday at the Cooper Medical Center in Camden.

Grace was born and raised in Puerto Rico and has been a resident of Williamstown for the past 11 years. She was a member of the Parish Family and the Lazarus Ministry at St. Mary's Church in Williamstown.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Edgar J.; 4 daughters, Vivian Porras of Williamstown, Yvonne & her husband, Michael Norton of Medford, Millie & her husband, Frank Allen, Jr. of Erial, and Nancy Medina of Erie, PA; 1 son, Junior Gonzalez of Puerto Rico; 3 brothers, Raymon, Wilfred & Manny; 3 sisters, Myrtha, Sylvia & Maria and 12 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday (TODAY) 10AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Main St. and Carrol Ave., Williamstown and a viewing will be held 8:30-9:30AM at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 South Main St., Williamstown.
