MAURICE "OLEY" OLSEN of Pocono Lake, PA passed away on Saturday, Nov. 3rd, 2007 at the University of PA Hosp. in Phila., PA. He was 76 yrs. of age. Born in Brooklyn, NY he resided in E. Windsor, NJ for many years before moving to the Poconos 3 yrs. ago. A retired Banker with Dresdner Bank in NYC, NY he retired in 1997 after over 30 yrs. with the bank. He is a member of the Sunrise Masonic Lodge #288 F&AM of Toms River, NJ and spent many years as a volunteer for the National Ski Patrol. He is also a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army. Oley is the beloved husband of Jacqueline (Nee Berley) Olsen of Pocono Lake, PA and the loving father of David N. Olsen and his wife Karyn of Hainesport, NJ and Adam S. Olsen and his wife Jennifer of Yardley, PA. He is also survived by his Granddaughter Alexis Olsen and his brothers & sister-in-law Robert & Marian Giordano of Silverthorne, CO and Alan Kaplan of FL. Awilda Vargas Olsen, age 48, of Long Branch died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, she was a life resident. Awilda was predeceased by her brother, Bienvenido Cruz in 2000. She is survived by a son, Robert A. Garrabarant of Keansburg; a daughter, Jennifer Morrison-Stamberger of Bricktown; her mother, Ramonita Cruz of Long Branch; a brother, Albert Cruz of Eatontown; 2 sisters, Joanne Sam-Pang and Brunilda Hawkins both of New Orleans; 5 grandchildren; her companion of 10 years, Robert Granite of Long Branch and his children, Bobby and Lawrence and their 3 children.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, from 7 pm until the time of the of funeral service at 8:30 pm from Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave, on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations.

Olson, Jr., Edward M.
Edward M. Olson, Jr., 51, of North Wildwood, NJ, died on Saturday, November 29, 2003, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. He was the son of Darlene nee Paul who survives and the late Edward M., Sr., and was born in Sea Isle City, NJ. He was a lifetime area resident. He was a self employed painter. Ed enjoyed surfing and was one of the first surfboarders in North Wildwood.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings: Diane and husband, Klaus Burdsall of Somers Point, NJ, Sandra Platt of Stone Harbor, NJ, Ricky and his wife, Jenny of Cape May Court House, and Lisa and her husband, Frank Breakall of South Dennisville; and a close friend: John Balzer of Wildwood, NJ.

Olvay, Jeanne Marie
Jeanne Marie Olvay, 80, of Somers Point, formerly of Cape May, died on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Born in Philadelphia, she had lived in Somers Point for five years after living in Cape May for fifty five years. She was a Navy Veteran of World War II. She was a telephone operator for Bell Atlantic of Wildwood for forty four years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of Bell Telephone Pioneers and the V.F.W. of Cape May.
Ms. Olvay is survived by her cousin, Elizabeth A. Miller of Somers Point. She was predeceased by her parents, J. Harry and Mary A. Miller.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 19, at 8:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private in Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery, Cold Spring.

Carmella Orechio, age 74, of Long Branch died Sunday, September 19, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was employed by Brunswick Monmouth Lanes, Long Branch and also was a cook for Westwood Hall Nursing Home for 10 years. Born in Italy, she had lived in Sea Bright before coming to Long Branch in 1969. Surviving are her husband of 46 years Sebastian A. Orechio; two sons and a daughter in law, Anthony Orechio, Long Branch; John and Lisa Orechio, Ocean; a daughter, Patricia Orechio, Long Branch; a sister in Italy; and a grandson Anthony.

HELEN M. OBERTI ORIGLIO, 69, of TOMS RIVER, whose daughter lives in Oceanport, died Thursday, Jan. 9, at Jersey Shore Care Center, Eatontown. She was a health claims adjuster for Local 210 Union in New York City before retiring. Born in New York City, she lived there before moving to Toms River nine years ago.
She was predeceased by her father, Emil Oberti. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Nat Origlio; a son, Robert Origlio of New York City; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Tom Galligan of Oceanport; her mother, Tilda Crocco Oberti of Oceanport; and two grandchildren, Samantha and Robert Galligan.
Relatives and friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. Ormrod, Rita Mae
Rita Mae Ormrod, 87, a former resident of North Cape May for twenty years, died on Friday, July 16, 2004 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, MD. She was born on August 4, 1916 in Atlantic City to the late Frieda Nuding and John Rossiter. She was a former member of the St. John of God Church and was a parishoner of St. Peter the Apostle Church in Libertytown, MD.
She is survived by a daughter, Rita M. Barger and her husband, James J.; one son, John C. Ormrod and his wife, Sandy; five grandchildren, Debora J. Harker and her husband, Garry L., James P. Barger and his wife, Kelly S., John Scott Ormrod and his wife, Tina, Steven M. Ormrod, and Michelle N. Barger-Terlizzi; seven great grandchildren, Christopher G. and Katie M. Harker, Danielle N., Timothy J., Benjamin J., Michael J. and Melanie E. Barger. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Ormrod on December 10, 1986.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John of God R.C. Church, Town Bank Road, North Cape May. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing. Elizabeth "Bette" H. Ostenrieder, 85, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2008. Born in Philadelphia, PA to James and Elizabeth (Pierce) Hertzler, she grew up in Ocean City, NJ, moved to Stone Harbor, NJ, then to Cape May Court House in 1975. She worked in the laundry department at Crest Haven Nursing Home, and was a member of the Woodbine congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was married
and predeceased by her husband, Ernest Ostenrieder.
Bette is survived by her daughters, Virginia (Robert) Kern and Shirley (George) Koppenhoefer; six grandchildren, Gregory Koppenhoefer of Brooklyn, NY, Christopher Koppenhoefer of Pleasantville, NJ, Randall Kern of Cape May Court House, NJ, and Mark, Bryan, and Terrence Kern all of North Carolina; and 3 great grandchildren. Bette was predeceased by her grandson, Garry.

Anthony J. Oteri, 84, of Wildwood Crest, died on Wednesday, January 1, 2003, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, and lived here for forty-two years. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption, an Army Veteran of World War II, and was a self-employed butcher.
He is survived by his wife: Anna May; two sons: Anthony and Joseph; two daughters: Emelia D'Astuto and Joan Slattery; two brothers: Peter and Thomas; eleven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Ott, John George, 88, of Cape May, born on January 16, 1919, passed from death into eternal life with his Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 18, 2007. Beloved husband of Edith (nee Dotterer) for 66 years and devoted father of three daughters: Dorothea (Robert) Brittin of Cape May; Edith Smith of Redford, Michigan; and Jo Ann (Richard) Ruhland of Shamong. Uncle of Mae Ott of Erma and Amanda and Albert Burk of Milford, Delaware.
He will be sadly missed by all his family especially his eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren whom he adored. John was an avid fisherman and sport game hunter; he worked as a machinist and heating and air conditioning mechanic, but the joy of his life was the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Berean Baptist Church, 516 Evesham Avenue, Magnolia, NJ 08049. Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A "Going Home" Celebration Service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Milt Wilson of Good Samaritan Baptist Church and Pastor Bill Dilworth of Berean Baptist officiating. Prior to retirement in 1984, Mr. Ott was employed at Eaton Yale in Philadelphia, PA for over 40 years. He was also a United States Army Veteran of WWII.

Katherine Ottaviano, 85, of Villas, NJ, died on Sunday, July 20, 2003, at the Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, NJ. She was born in Tarrytown, NY, and lived in this area for twenty seven years. She was the daughter of the late Mathus and Antonia Cifersky Kiselak. She was a member of St. Raymond's Church here. She was a retired waitress having working at the Cold Spring Village.
She is survived by two sons: LeRoy Maskell of Wildwood, NJ, and Thomas Maskell of Poland, OH; two daughters: Jean Ann Frank of Averill Park, NY, and Lorraine Dougherty of Pittstown, NY; three brothers: Joseph Kiselak of Sleepy Hollow, NY, John Kiselak of Poughquag, NY, and Robert Kiselak of Lakeworth, FL; three sisters: Mary K. Jones of West Palm Beach, FL, Josephine Manno of Thornwood, NY, and Theresa O'Brien of Stoney Point, NY; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Ottaviano.

Ottaviano, Thomas R.
Thomas R. Ottaviano, age 78, of Cold Spring, NJ and formerly of North Wildwood, died on Friday, November 7, 2003, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and was an area resident for 29 years. He was a retired jury manager for the Cape May County Court System. At the time of his death, he was the proprietor of Classic Auto Sales located in the Villas. He had a great interest in cars. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and the receiptient of the Purple Heart from being wounded in action. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Concetta nee Cambria; his children: Thomas R., Jr. and his wife, Jean of Erma, NJ; Catherine of Cold Spring, NJ; Richard and his wife, Arlene of Augusta, NJ and Elaine Lee and her husband, Franklin of the Villas, NJ; six grandchildren: Jamie, Kristie, Gerri, Leanne, Jessica and Brian and two great grandchildren: Brendon and Julina. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Marie Ottinger, 78, of Cape May Court House, died on Thursday, June 27, 2002 at home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and was an area resident for twenty five years. She formerly lived in Stratford.
She is survived by a son; John R. Ottinger, Jr. of Croydon, PA; three daughters, Janet Parker of Deptford, NJ, Andrea Ottinger of Cape May Court House, and Linda Zelinski of Fort Myers, FL; a brother, Joseph Johnson of Mount Laurel, NJ; a sister, Harriet Rosewall of Fort Myers, FL; seven grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
