Mohr, Lewis W.
Lewis W. Mohr, 92, former resident of the Lions Center in Wildwood, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2009 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia to the late William and Viola (Slimm) Mohr, he had summered here since 1954 before moving here permanently in 1970 from Philadelphia. An Army Veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and the Loyal Order of Moose. He was formerly employed as a butcher, a driver for Tony Urich Trucking Co. and Laurel Transport, Swan Oil, the Cape May County Zoo, and Sandman Towers.
Mr. Mohr is survived his daughters, Patricia Noble of Philadelphia and Carol Parese of Illinois, his brother, William Mohr of Philadelphia; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Moir, MD, Dr. John A.
Dr. John A. Moir, MD, 89, of Stone Harbor, NJ, died on Monday, July 4, 2005, at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Moir was born in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth Scott Moir. He graduated from West Philadelphia High School in 1932 at the age of 16 and received a full scholarship from the University of Pennsylvania graduating there at the age of 20. He graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1940 at the age of 24. He became licensed to practice medicine in Delaware after completing a one year rotation internship at Wilmington General Hospital.
In October, 1941, he entered the US Army Air Corps subsequently becoming Chief of Medical Services at Normoyle Station Hospital in San Antonio, TX. He directed Personnel Replacement Depot and was responsible for the general health of 2000 transient and 800 permanent personnel. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater in Okinawa from December 1945 to February 1946 when he was discharged from military service honorably.
In 1946, Dr. Moir was licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey and partnered with Dr. George M. Brooks, MD, for four years. He then opened his own practice in Cape May Court House, NJ with medical and obstetrical privileges at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital; he was sole physician for four area schools for twenty one years and worked parttime as school physician for the Cape May County Vocational Technical School and the Special Services School. In 1978, he closed his Cape May Court House office permanently but continued making house calls for twelve years until he retired in 1990 after a career spanning over fifty years in the medical profession. He was an avid reader throughout his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan E. Moir of Newnan, GA, and by his son, David J. and his wife, Kristina, of Mount Laurel, NJ, and three granddaughters, Kelsey, Jamie, and Hannah. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Virginia A. who died on June 27, 2000.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2005, at 12:00 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may call 11:00 AM until time of service. Interment will be in Arlington cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA on Monday, July 11, 2005, at 11:30 AM.

Molineaux, Eleanor J.
MOLINEAUX, ELEANOR (nee Garramano) on March 19, 2005, of Mt. Laurel. Age 72. Beloved wife of Don J. Devoted mother of Donna Mitchell (Bill), Richard Molineaux (Liz), Deborah Bittner (Charles) and Randy Molineaux (Jeannie). Loving grandmother of, Billy Mitchell (Barb), Jamie Davis (Ian), Lindsay Mitchell, Ricky, Jill, Kimberlee, Randy, Stephen and Samantha Molineaux and the youngest Savannah Bittner. Dear sister of Rose Leonetti, Mary Ciprietti, Jane Baker, Rita Settimi, Gloria Santone (Danny) and the late Anna Tratta and Anthony Garramano. Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews. Eleanor grew up in Camden and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1950, where she met her loving husband Don. They married

Mollenkopf, Sr., William F.
William F. Mollenkopf, Sr., 76, of Cape May Court House, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 15, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Wildwood to the late John Edward and Elizabeth (Schulz) Mollenkopf, he was a lifetime resident of this area. An Army Veteran of the Korean War, he worked as an insurance adjuster for State Farm. He loved fishing, boating and taking trips to Florida. He enjoyed working in the garage and was always looking for a new project or helping someone in the family with their project. He loved to spend time with all of his grandchildren and children and to watch them grow. He was always there for his family.
Mr. Mollenkopf is the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Back); and the loving father of Peggy Holland and her husband, Frank of North Cape May, Bill Mollenkopf, Jr. and his wife, Sandi of Cocoa, FL, Theresa Oliver and her companion, Roger Swagler of Dennisville, Carol Ferguson and her husband, John of Dennisville, and Steven Mollenkopf and his wife, Dawn of Egg Harbor Township. He is also survived by his brother in law and sister in law, Harry and Pat Back of Cape May Court House; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Anna M. Monaco, 81, of Sea Isle City, NJ, died on Thursday, June 8, 2006, at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, and summered here for many years and moved permanently in 2001. She was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church. Mrs. Monaco was an avid QVC shopper and enjoyed watching her soap operas and frequenting the casinos.
She is survived by a daughter: Joanne M. Monaco and her husband, Thomas S. Leonardis, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis.

Edward Monaghan Sr., age 77, of Williamstown, NJ, on March 29, 2002 in the Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Washington Twp, NJ.
Born in Havertown, PA and a resident of Williamstown since 1950. Mr. Monaghan was a WWII Army Veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a lifetime member and past Post Commander of the VFW Post 1616. He was a tailor most of his life and owned and operated Monaghan's Dry Cleaning in Williamstown.

Monichetti, Gennaro "Gene" Joseph
GENNARO 'GENE' JOSEPH MONICHETTI, age 81, of Cold Spring, NJ and a lifetime county resident died in Florida on Monday, February 9, 2009. He was born in Sea Isle City, the son of the late Joseph and Katherine Mazzotta Monichetti.
After graduating from Middle Township High School, Gene was inducted in the Army during WWII and upon receiving an honorable discharge, he worked for Barrett Paving Company. He began working for the Atlantic Electric Company February 9, 1953, having many positions before retiring as a District Supervisor.
Gene attended the South Seaville Methodist Church; he was an active member of the Cape May County 4-H Foundation for many years; a member of the Villas Fishing Club; the Lower Township Loyal Order of the Moose and a retired member of the Cape May Court House Volunteer Fire Company.
He is survived by his wife, the former JoAnne Halbruner; two daughters: Susan Beth of Marlton and Carol Sawyer of Cape May Court House; a son, James T. of Cape May Court House; sisters: Rose Marie Reno (Raymond) of Oceanside, CA; Rita Ann Gore (Edward) of Hamilton Square; Mary Elizabeth Keene and Maria Josephine Conlow (Frederick) both of Cape May Court House; Joan Carol Sigafoos (Fred) of Willow Street, PA and Barbara Jane Kennedy (John) of Yardley, PA; grandsons: Marc (Laura) of Elmira, NY and Matthew of NJ and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Gene and a brother, Salvatore "Bud".

Monichetti, Salvatore "Bud" L.
Salvatore "Bud" L. Monichetti, 73, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Tuesday, February 3, 2004. He was born May 23, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph G. and Catherine Mazzotta Monichetti. He was retired from the Atlantic City Electric Company as Chief Workleader. He was a 1948 graduate of Middle Township High School. He served on the board of the Cape May County Park Commission for twenty-three years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and flying model airplanes.
He is survived by his former wife and friend: Marion E.; daughter: Sherrie E. Hillemann (Bruce) of Yardley, PA; brothers and sisters: Gene J. Dorothy Tosto Montefinese age 64 of Hawley, PA formerly of Long Branch died May 5, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. Born in Brooklyn, she had lived in Long Branch before moving to Hawley 8 years ago. She was a pay roll supervisor for Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch for 25 years retiring in 1994. She was
predeceased by her husband John Montefinese in 2002.
Surviving are a son Nicholas Montefinese, Eatontown; a daughter Lisa Boggs, Asbury Park; 3 brothers Fred Tosto, Hawley, Pa; Ronald Sposato, Bellmore, NY; Peter Sposato, Hawley, Pa; 3 sisters, Pauline Cikowski, Homer City, Pa; MaryAnn Tosto, Hawley, Pa; Andrea Rispoli, Blauvelt, NY; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

James J. Monteith, Sr., 81, of Sea Isle City, NJ, died on Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, and lived in Glenside, PA before moving here permanently in 1989. He was a summer resident since 1968. He was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church here, the Madonna Maria Council #3560 Knight of Columbus of Sea Isle City, the AARP, and the Sea Isle City Women's Civic Association. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, and worked for the Woolworth Company for 40 years as a carpenter having been a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union Local #122 and the former Local #277 of Philadelphia, PA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen E. nee Connahan on December 3, 2004. He is survived by his daughter: Mary Beth Civitarese and her husbnad, Joseph, of Reading, PA; son: James J., Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Coatesville, PA; and grandchildren: Peter Civitarese and wife, Jodi, Beth Civitarese, Michael Civitarese, Adam Monteith, Jarad Monteith, and Ryan Monteith. Also surviving are Betty Jane Sculley, Helen McGrath and James Huggard.

Mrs. Montesano was a teacher of English at Eastern High School, Voorhees, NJ, for 31 years, and was Outstanding Teacher of the Year 93-94; graduate of Chestnut Hill College. She is survived by her sons: Craig Ford, Noel Chew, and Andrew Cotton; and a nephew: Patrick Cotton. She was a beloved teacher, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many and was preceded in death by her sister, Ellen Sammons.
