John Martin, age 60, of Cape May Court House, NJ died on Tuesday, November 4, 2003. He was born in Newark, NJ and was an area resident for over twenty years. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. at the Seaside cemetery, Palermo, NJ.

Martin, Alberta N.

Alberta "Bert" N. Martin, 85, a resident of Whitesboro, departed this life and went to be home with the Lord Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in the Eastern Shore Nursing Facility.

Born and raised in Cape May County, Alberta attended Whitesboro Elementary School and she was a graduate of Middle Township High School.

Alberta's employment began at an early age. She worked at a clothing factory in Woodbine and for over twenty years, she was employed with the Rutgers' Nutrition Program. Before and after retirement, Alberta still gave of herself as a volunteer at the former Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital for many years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro.

Alberta was predeceased by her husband Henry H. Martin (1984) and her son Carlton L. Martin (1995). She is survived by her son, Henry T. Martin; brother Carl Faison and sister Ethelyn Dozier; her four grandchildren, Marlea Higgs, Kervin Alston, Carlton Martin, and Nicholas Martin; her two great grandchildren, Jordan Burton and Megan Small; seven sisters in law; one brother in law; two goddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who will dearly miss her.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the First Baptist Church, Main Street, Whitesboro. A public viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon and a "going home" celebration begins at 12 noon. Interment will be at the Household of Ruth cemetery, Pennsylvania Avenue, Whitesboro.

MARTIN, Charles Edward

On August 7, 2009. Age 42. Of Voorhees. Beloved husband of the late Lori (nee Cicalese). Loving father of Nicholas, Danielle, and Charles. Devoted son of John and Kathleen Martin. Dear brother of John (Donna), Kathy Ann (Tony), Dan (Brandy), Sue (Jeff), and David. Son in Law of John and Roseann Cicalese. Martin, Mary E.

Martin, Mary E. "Bet", 95, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2009. Born in Blenheim, VA to William and Mary White, she moved to the area in 1941 after living in Washington D.C. She worked at Feit's Clothing Factory in Woodbine doing sewing and piecing.

Bet is survived by her son, Eugene (Ethel Mae) Martin of Whitesboro, her daughter, Geraldine (David) Murray of Woodbine; brother-in-law Nathaniel Hampton (Ewing, NJ); sisters-in-law, Lillian Pritchet (Moorestown), Alma Jackson (Whitesboro), Janet Burney (Philadelphia), and Janet Martin (Moorestown); 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, special friend Vera Smith, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Rt.9 and Main Street in Whitesboro, NJ at 12:00 noon. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Household of Ruth cemetery in Whitesboro.

Joseph S. Martin, age 82, of Bellmawr, New Jersey, died Tuesday, August 14, 2001 at the Medford Care Center in Medford, New Jersey.

Martin, Rose E.

ROSE E. MARTIN, 61, of Carolina Beach, N.C., formerly of HAZLET, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, at her daughter's home in Hazlet. Born in Passaic, she had lived in North Carolina before coming home four months ago.

She was predeceased by her father, Anthony Adamo. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Lisa Martin of Barnegat; a daughter and son-in-law, Stefanie and Robert McKenna of Hazlet; her mother, Anna McCabe Adamo of Garfield; two sisters, Patricia Figueroa of Tampa, Fla., and Elizabeth Gray of Garfield; her companion, Joseph Vaspol; and three grandchildren, Taylor and Connor McKenna, and Alyssa Martin.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch, with a dinner following at Tuzzio's Restaurant, Morris Avenue, Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Meridian Hospice, 615 Hope Road, Bldg. 4, 2nd Floor, Eatontown, NJ 07724.

Martin, David J.

On January 3, 2005 of Barrington, NJ formerly of Gloucester City, NJ age 84 yrs. Beloved husband of the late Ruth M. (Nee. Blake). Devoted father of David John Martin of Berlin, NJ, Susan Rose of Ocean City, NJ, Linda Martin of Wilmington, NC, Judy Hendricks of Wenonah, NJ, and Mary-Jo Eppright of Barrington, NJ. Dear brother of the late Anna Atkins. Loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Also survived by his long term companion Helen Eilender of Leisuretown, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Martin resided in Gloucester City for many years. Mr. Martin was a 1939 graduate of Gloucester City High School where he was a 4 Varsity Letter Athlete. In 1942 Mr. Martin entered the US Army Air Corps. where he was a member of the "Cotton Tails" 450th Bombardment Group (H) 15th Army Air Corps as well as the 722 Bomb Squadron during World War II. During his couragous service, Mr. Martin became a Prisoner of War in Germany after his plane was shot. After being discharged from the Air Force, Mr. Martin attended Temple University where he earned a BS in Business. Mr. Martin was employed as a Division Manager for Sears & Roebuck for over 35 yrs. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Thursday evening from 7 to 9PM and again on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the METTS-POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday 10 am at St. Francis de Sales R.C Church, Gloucester Pike and Willmont Ave., Barrington, NJ. Interment New St. Mary's cemetery, Bellmawr. Martin, Pamela Ann

MARTIN, PAMELA ANN TAYLOR, of Cambridge, MA, passed away on July 7, 2009, at her home. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. on September 8, 1946 and raised in Wildwood Crest, NJ, she graduated Wildwood High School Class of 1964, and graduated the University of Massachusetts Amherst Campus in June, 1968. She then attended Cambridge University in Cambridge, England during the Summer of 1968, and graduated Boston University School of Law with her Juris Doctorate Degree in 1971. She wrote for the Boston Law Review on the legalities and ill-legalities of Richard Nixon's Invasion of Cambodia, and worked with William Kunstlers' defense of the Chicago 8 from the riots during the 1968 Democratic Convention. In 1971, she opened Geller, Miller, Taylor & Weinberg, a neighborhood law firm representing the less privileged in Cambridge, MA. She worked for the greater Boston Legal Services, worked as an Assistant District Attorney with the Middlesex Juvenile Justice Division, Commonworth Of Massachusetts, and taught law at Boston University School of Law.

Pam met and married Richard Martin from London, U.K., moved to England in 1986. She returned to school and received her English law degree, and worked with the law firm of Jay Benning & Peltz in their criminal and civil litigation division, completing her career with The Financial Services Authority, London, U.K. as a solicitor consultant. Richard passed and Pam returned to Cambridge, MA, where she lived in retirement until her passing.

Pam is survived by her father, Allen B. Taylor, Jr.; a sister, Debbie McAlarnen and her husband, Francis; her brother, Allen E. and his wife, Lisa; step-children both here and abroad; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy L. Taylor.

Pam will be laid to rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at the Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery located on Seashore Road in Lower Township. Friends may call at 1 p.m. for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity or The ALS Association, Julie McKeever, 321 Norristown Rd., Ste. 260, Ambler, PA 19002 in Pam's name.

Martin, Virginia Ginny

Virginia "Ginny" Martin age 71, of Long Branch died Tuesday, December 23, at home. She was a salesperson for Macy's, Eatontown before retiring several years ago. Born in Long Branch, she had been a life resident of the shore area. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Martin in 1998 and a son Michael Martin in 1978. Surviving are two daughters, Kaylynn Martin, Long Branch; Adriane Martin, Bloomfield; a niece, Virginia Applegate; a granddaughter, Michele Martin; a daughter in law, Mary Martin; a grandniece and a grandnephew. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch is in charge of the arrangement.

Martin, Jr., Harry Ralph

Harry Ralph Martin, Jr., 82, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Saturday, May 27, 2006, at the Eastern Shore Nursing Home. He was born in Cape May Court House, NJ on September 12, 1923, the son of the late Harry R. and Naomi (Castor) Martin, Sr. He was a retired service station proprietor . He served in the US Navy during World War II on the USS Massachusetts. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1000 of New Jersey, and a former member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Goshen Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet nee High and celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on May 7; two daughters: Linda Jo Maiden (Edward T.) of Roxborough, PA and Barbara Jean (Gary D.) Van Stratten of Green Bay, WI; these grandchildren: Becky Jean (Robert) Lade, Jennifer Lynn Maiden, Jessica Beth (Jeremy) Maes, Amanda Jo Van Stratten (fiance, Marc McGovern), and Edward Daniel Maiden; one great grandson: Caleb Maes; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, James Martin, and a sister, Ruth Medcalf.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may visit 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Interment in Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. Memorials may be made to the Sunshine Club of Eastern Shore Nursing Home, 1419 Rte. 9 North, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Martin, Sr., Stephen J.

STEPHEN J. MARTIN SR., 61, of NEPTUNE, died Saturday, July 19, surrounded by his family at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was the proprietor of Steve's Mobile Homes, Neptune, for 15 years, retiring in 2002. He was employed with Freeman's Bakery, Belmar, for 25 years. He was a member of the Be-Bop Cruisers, Inc., and was well known as "The D.J. Man, Crusin' with the Doo Wopps, " S and B D.J.'S. Born in Neptune, he was a life resident of the Shore area.

He was predeceased by his brother, William Martin, in 1988. Surviving are his wife, Kay Carayianis Martin; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen J. and Diane Martin of Long Branch; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lori and Jim Davis of Brick, and Lisa Martin of Neptune; a sister and two brothers-in-law, Joyce and Al Witt of Eatontown, and George Carayianis of Florida; a sister-in-law, Betty Martin of Neptune; five grandchildren, James, Nicholas and Brittany Davis, and Lauren and Michael Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Damiano Funeral Home, corner of Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. A gathering will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with funeral service at 11 a.m. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Child Assault Prevention Project, PO Box 6805, Freehold, NJ 07728.

Martindale, Mabel C.

Mabel C. Martindale, 81 of Swainton Section of Middle Township died on Monday, October 22, 2001 at the Eastern Shore Nursing and Convalescent Home. She was born in Philadelphia and had been a resident a the Eastern Shore Nursing Center since June having been a resident of Cape May Court House since 1960 when she came from Philadelphia.

She is survived by a son, Clarence John Martindale of Swainton; two daughters: Joan Roth of St. Augustine, Florida and Barbara DuBree of Quakertown, Pa.; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Interment was in Calvary Baptist cemetery, Ocean View.

Martindell, Vivian M.

MARTINDELL, VIVIAN M. (nee Sutton) of Marlton, NJ on November 11, 2004. Formerly of the Tacony section of Philadelphia. Vivan was 80. Beloved wife of George H. Martindell. Loving mother of George E. Martindell, and Joseph, Larry and Diane Ott. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday November 13 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd. Marlton, NJ. Martine, Frank Joseph

MARTINE, Frank Joseph on November 2, 2003 of Marlton, NJ for 42 years, formerly of Philadelphia. Age 67. Loving husband of Dolores (nee Scheer) for 42 years. Devoted father of Frank and Cindy Martine, Stephen and Jennifer Martine, Lisa and Bob Travis, Michele and Tom Capraro and Renee Martine. Loving grandfather of 14. Dear nephew of Grace Ciccolelli and uncle of Jim Caldwell. Also survived by many other loving relatives, neighbors and friends. Prior to retirement in 2000, Mr. Martine was employed at the Philadelphia Inquirer in the circulation dept. for 29 years and prior to that he worked at the Philadelphia Bulletin from 1957-1971. After retirement, Frank enjoyed working for Commerce Bank as a courier. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church. Mr. Martine was an avid sports fan especially baseball. He was also a dedicated Pop-pop and family man. Martinez, David Anthony

DAVID ANTHONY MARTINEZ, of Winlsow Twp., NJ, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 1, 2009. He was 26 years old. David formerly lived in Southampton, NJ and was a 2001 graduate of Lenape High School in Medford, NJ where he was active in the Lenape ROTC. He went on to graduate from the Richard Stockton College in 2008 with a degree in Criminal Justice and was a former member of the US Army reserve, the US Air Force and is presently an active member of the US Air Force/Air National Guard. He also served as a Security Guard for Allied Barton in Voorhees, NJ. He is the Beloved son of Michael S. and Josie Martinez of Winslow Twp, NJ and the loving brother of Sandra Semenoro and her husband Jonathan of Westampton, NJ. He is also survived by his Paternal Grandmother Mary Martinez of Brighton, CO and his Maternal Grandmother Stella DeVecchi of Venice, Italy. Martino, Anna Marie

"Apples" Anna Marie Martino, 49, of Wildwood, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009 at Cooper University Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Laverne and Maryann (Wisely) Zook. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Lorraine Schiavo, Anthony Zook, Rose Pantalone, Amanda Zook, and David Zook; and her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Victor Joseph Zook.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Marzili, Josephine E.

MARZILI, on August 22, 2001, Josephine E. (nee Martino) of Marlton NJ. Age 79. She is survived by her son, Joseph C. and his wife, Terry Marzili of Clayton, CA and 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth and Dave Marzili and Nicholas Courtright. She is the mother of the late Eileen Courtright. Born and raised in Phila., she moved to South Jersey and resided in Marlton since 1982. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and church choir. She was a trustee with Interfaith Caregivers and a volunteer for the Humane Society. Within Marlton and Evesham Twp., she was involved with the Garden Club, Board of Ed. Superintendent's Advisory Council, Senior Citizen's Club and Advisory Committee and the Recreation Advisory Council. Josephine was a member of the Women's Club of Marlton (Past Treasurer and Public Affairs Chairman) and the NJ Federation of Women's Clubs, Josephine was District Chairwoman and an intricate part of honoring women veterans. Her crusade for female veterans resulted in proclamations on the state and local level for women's veterans day. Perpetually in search of greater good, she has been a crusader. Born in Willingboro, NJ, he resided in Lumberton, NJ for the past 6 yrs. moving there from Medford Lakes, NJ. A graduate of Shawnee High School, Class of 1989, he is the Owner of Deckorative Images in Lumberton, NJ. He is the beloved son of Robert F. and Susan A. (Nee Snyder) Mascali of Medford Lakes, NJ and the loving brother of Robert D. Mascali and his wife Caroline of Lumberton, NJ, David B. Mascali and his wife Georgia of Franklin, TN, Debra Guld and her husband John of Atco, NJ, and Sandra Mascali of Marlton, NJ. He is also survived by his Maternal Grandparents Arlington & Larue Snyder of Allentown, PA, his nieces & nephews Joshua & Grace Guld and Ryan & Rachel Mascali and his soul mate Jennifer Mascali of Lumberton, NJ.
