Leahy, Joseph James
Joseph James Leahy, 59, of Cape May Court House, died peacefully in his sleep on May 23, 2007. Joe is survived by his brother, William Leahy and his wife Kay, his sister Patricia Lindsay, his brother Christopher Leahy, his sister-in-law Evelyn Leahy and 44 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Joe was a man with the strength and confidence to always show love and compassion. He was soft and gentle with the heart of a lion.
Joe was blessed with superior physical abilities. There wasn't a sport he didn't excel in. From football, basketball, and boxing to pool and golf, Joe could do it all, and do it well. Joe was ultimately recognized for his spiritual and physical skills with the Master rank of 3rd Dan in USA Goju Karate. He held that rank with honor, dignity, and humility.
Joe served our Country courageously in Viet Nam. Joe took pride in the fact that he walked point in the DMZ for his infantry platoon until the day he left the jungle. Joe was honored with the Combat Infantry Badge and numerous other medals citing his bravery, courage, and duty with honor.
Upon return from Viet Nam, Joe attended Cumberland County Community College. There he received an Associate of Arts degree in business and was uniquely honored as the outstanding business management student of the year.
He was caring and giving with an undying love for children. Uncle Joe always had something to share with his nieces and nephews, and for that matter, his brothers and sisters also. His family was the light of his life.
Joe was an inspiration to those who had the good fortune of knowing him. He will be greatly missed by family and friends and will always be remembered for his love of God and family.
His funeral service will be offered on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maris Stella Chapel, 25th Street and First Avenue, Avalon, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Leathem, Mary Jane
Leathem, Jane, on October 20, 2006, of Cherry Hill, NJ. Age 59. Beloved wife of Michael Leathem. Loving mother of Laurie Arendt, Mark and Andrew Sever, and Steven Leathem. Also survived by her brother David Mumby, and grandchildren: Brian, Timothy, Aidan, David, Ty, Kevin, Ryan, and Julia. Jane was a member of The Catholic Church of St. Mary in Cherry Hill. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Tuesday October 24 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Lechner, Jack Ernest
Jack Ernest Lechner, age 75, a lifetime resident of Sea Isle City, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 10, 2008 at his home. Born in Camden, NJ, he was a welder at the Philadelphia Naval Yard, a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, member of the Sea Isle City VFW Post, and the Medford Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his four children: Kathleen (Jim) McCabe, Jack E., Jr. (Debbie) Lechner, Richard B. (Donna) Lechner, & Teresa (Matthew) Savona; his sister: Joan (Paul) Harduk; eight grandchildren: R.C. Cline, Stephanie Lechner, Richard Lechner, Jr., Jack E. Lechner, III, Shawn Lechner, Katilyn Savona, and Ethan Lechner; and his companion: Sandra E. French.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment is in Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. LeClair, William R.
WILLIAM R. LeCLAIR, of Tabernacle, NJ passed away suddenly on Monday, December 10th, 2007 at the Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was 68. Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Harold & Dorice LeClair and resided in Tabernacle for the past 22 yrs. moving there from Lakewood, NJ. A School Bus Driver for the Medford Twp. Schools for the past 3 years, he was formerly a Water Proofer with Water Proofing Systems of NJ out of Summit, NJ. He was also a Veteran of the US Marine Corp. William is the Beloved Husband of Madeline (Nee Masterson) LeClair of Tabernacle, NJ and the loving Father of Jacqueline M. Bentz and her husband Patrick of Tabernacle, NJ, Jeannette A. McKenna of Jackson, NJ and Jennifer M. LeClair of Tabernacle, NJ. He is also survived by his Brother Christopher LeClair of Denville, NJ, his Grandchildren Jenna LeClair, Madeline and Makayla Bentz and Paige McKenna and his Aunt Nathalie Flynn and Cousin Denise Flynn both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He is the father of the late William R. Lee, Rebecca A.
Lee, Rebecca A., 63, of Villas, passed away on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at the Cape Regional Medical Center of Cape May Court House. She was born in Richwood Township to Francis and Margaret (Bock) Ford and soon after moved to the area. She loved cooking and worked for Marie's Take-Out in Villas. She was predeceased by her husband John.
She is survived by her sister Doris Drummond of Cape May Court House; Doris' children Angelina Montgomery, Carolyn Hess, and Karl Hess; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 11:00am at Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Crest Haven Road in Cape May Court House, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cape May County Animal Shelter, 4 Moore Rd. DN/501/B, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
Lee, Rev. Ernest W.
Rev. Ernest W. Lee, 87, formerly of South Seaville, NJ and Cherry Hill, NJ, died on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at the Wesley Manor in Ocean City, NJ, where he had lived for the past several years. He was born in Painted Post, NY, the son of the late John W. and Carrie Heinman Lee.
Rev. Lee was a retired Methodist minister having served various churches. He was a member of the Southern New Jersey United Methodist Church Council; served on the general Board of Missions of the United Methodist Church; he was a former District Superintendent for the Camden and Trenton Districts, and was assistant to Bishop Prince Taylor, and had been elected to several general conferences.
Rev. Lee is survived by two sons: Ernest W. of Fairfield, CA, and Frank S. of Walnut Creek, CA; and four grandchildren: Connie Anne, Christopher Wayne, Robert, and Bonnie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred H., in 1993, and a grandson, James.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at 3:00 PM at the Seaville Methodist Church, 3100 Shore Road, Seaville, NJ 08230, where friends may visit from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Interment is in the Church cemetery. Lee, Stephen M.
Stephen M. Lee, age 65, of Long Branch died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a purchasing agent for the NJ Transit for 33 years before retiring in 2004. Stephen was a member of St Luke's United Methodist Church, Long Branch, where he was active in the Men's Club and served his country honorable in the US Army. Born in Chatham, Massachusetts, he has lived in Long Branch since 1965.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Casey Lee; 2 daughters and a son in law, Stephanie and David Jurkin, and Casey Lee, all Long Branch; a brother, Russell Lee, Chatham, Mass.; a sister and her husband, Marie and Donald Plourde, Florida; 2 grandchildren, Ethan and Taylor; his sisters in law and brothers in law, Carol and Frank Calabra; Pat and Joe Walch;and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 2, from 2- 4 to 7-9 pm from the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave, on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. Funeral, Thursday, 9 am from the funeral home followed by a 10 am service at St Luke's Church, Long Branch. Interment will be at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport.
Lee, Herbert Wayne
Herbert Wayne Lee, 63, of Goshen, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009. Born in Port Norris to the late Thomas and Ethel (Fisher) Lee, he was a longtime resident here. He was a self employed clammer and enjoyed working with scrap metal.
He is survived by his wife, Emma (Lashley) Lee; his children, James Turner, Maureen Mutebi, Willie Lashley, Joanne Lee, and Albert Lee; his brothers and sisters; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Herbert Wayne Lee.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Seaville Methodist cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses.

George D. Lee, 87, of Woodbine, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2003 at Shore Memorial Hospital. He was born in Middle Township to the late Raymond W. and Nettie (Davis) Lee and was a lifetime resident of this area. He was the former owner of George's Body Shop in Whitesboro. He was a former member of St. Stephen's AME Church in Whitesboro. He was a foster grandparent at the Woodbine Developmental Center. Mr. Lee was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his daughters, Delores Shelton and her husband, Aaron Lewis of Woodbine, and Janice Jones of Glassboro; his son in law, Donald Williams; his seven grandchildren, Karen Beachaump, Anthony Green, Sandra Lively, Mary Thomas, Sherri Howell, Donna Vance, and Dianna Williams; his ten great grandchildren; and fourteen great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Williams and one great grandchild.

Dear son of Miles and Anna Leedom of Marlton. Also survived by his aunts, uncle and cousins. Mr. Leedom was a Veteran of the Marine Corps from 1954-1957. He began his career as a Police Officer in Willingboro, and then came to Evesham Twp in 1966. He served as Chief of Police in Evesham from 1970-1990. He was a graduate of the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA and a member of the NJ FOP. LEEDOM, Miles. On Sept. 4, 2009. Of Marlton, NJ. Age 93. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Wojtkowiak). Loving father of the late Chief Joseph Leedom and his widow Joyce Leedom. Dear brother of Herbie Leedom, Marvin Leedom and Helen (Robert) Zoll. Caring grandfather of Joseph (Vanesa), William (Jeanna) and Tricia Leedom and great grandfather of Danielle, Nathan, Ryan and Steven. Miles will also be missed by his sister-in-law's Helen Nadzier and Dot (Walt) Cinkowski as well as many nieces and nephews. Miles served in the US Army during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He enjoyed carpentry and craftsmanship especially making wooden toys and tulips. Leek Sr., Herman L.
HERMAN L. LEEK SR., of Tabernacle, NJ, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 30, 2009. He was 73 yrs. of age. Born in Chatsworth, NJ, he has resided in Tabernacle for the past 24 years. A long time employee at Fort Dix NJ, he began as a laborer in 1966 and then became the Foreman of the DPW Warehouse at Ft. Dix. After his retirement in 1988 he worked for a few months for Brennan Transportation and R.E. Marshall and then in 1991 he began working with the Occupational Training Center in Mt. Holly, NJ where he was a Supervisor and Driver and enjoyed working with the clients. He was a Past Master 3 times for the Masonic Lodge #44 of Vincentown and an active member of the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, NJ where he served as a Greeter, on the Alpha Team and as a Mini-church host. He and his wife were also avid country line dancer's for 12 yrs. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He is the Beloved Husband of Cindy M. Leek of Tabernacle and the Loving Father of Herman L. Leek Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Riverside, NJ, Karen L. Pepper of Southampton, NJ and Cassandra Johanson and her husband Paxton of Alabaster, AL. He is also survived by his sisters Helen Sooy of Chatsworth, NJ and Madeline Woodard of Myrtle Beach, SC, his Grandchildren Rebecca, Joshua and Jeremy Leek, Katelyn Pepper, Samantha Johanson and his Great Grandson Julian Manning. LEHOTSKY, MICHAEL J., on May 1, 2008, of Lindenwold. Formerly of Palmyra. Age 50. Beloved Partner of Cheryl A. Davies for 15 Wonderful Years. Also survived by his brother and sister Richard J. Lehotsky and Marita L. Flach, and nephews, Gregory, Jim, Douglas, and John. Michael was a graduate of Palmyra High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Lehr, Emma P.
Emma P. (Holtzapple) Lehr, 90, of West York, died at 1:50 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2001, at Manor Care Health Services North. She was the wife of the late Philip A. Lehr.
The service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 21st, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd., York. Burial will be in St. Paul's (Wolf's) Union cemetery. The viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Lehr was born November 22, 1910, in Taxville, West Manchester Township, York County, PA. She was the daughter of the late George and Sarah (Leppo) Holtzapple.
Mrs. Lehr had been a seamstress for many years, working at both the former Feeser Dry Cleaning in West York and York Suit Co. She also worked from her home for many years. Mrs. Lehr was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. in York.
Mrs. Lehr is survived by a daughter, Darlene R. Lehr of Silver Spring, MD; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lehr was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Sara A. Gausmann of Saint Paul Lutheran Church and her great nephew, the Rev. Eddie D.D. Miller, pastor of Lewisberry United Methodist Church.

On March 3, 2007. Of Clementon., formerly of Pennsauken. Age 79. Devoted father of Patricia Fultano and her husband Frank, Lorraine Groce and her husband Edward, Sherry Ehlinger and her husband Robert, and the late Larry Robert Leibfried. Loving grandfather of Michele, Stephanie and Crystal and great grandfather of Matthew and Andrew. Dear brother of Shirley Lombardo and her husband Anthony. Mr. Leibfried was a Veteran of the Navy during World War II and worked as a manager for Bond Bread, retiring after 25 years. He loved spending time with his family, travel, boating, and fishing; and he was an avid fan of the Eagles and Phillies. LEINBACH, LAURENCE L. Sr.
On January 24, 2003, of Pennsauken, age 79 years.
Beloved husband of the late Maxine M. (nee Donnell); Devoted Father of the late Laurence L. Leinbach, Jr.; Dear Father in law of Linda L. Leinbach; Loving Grandfather of Tracy Lin; Dear Brother of Hilda 'Betty' Ostile and the late Ivan Leinbach. Also survived by many other family and friends.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Leinbach was employed at Garlock Industries in Camden, New Jersey for 39 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II as a 1st Class Baker. Mr. Leinbach played in the band, 'Sonny Sleeter and the Country Cousins' in Camden and Gloucester.

Leinmiller, Harry Charles
Harry Charles Leinmiller, 52, of Avalon, died on Monday, January 7, 2002. He was born in Philadelphia and had lived here for 26 years after moving from Philadelphia. He was a member of Maris Stella Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Leinmiller is survived by his wife, Elaine(nee Benincasa); and his parents, Harry Charles and Mary (MacNamme) Leinmiller of Avalon.
