La Corte, Francis V.
Francis V. LaCorte, age 83 of Long Branch died Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a tracking technician for People Express, Newark, for 38 years before retiring. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines, serving in the South Pacific, during WWII. He was a parishioner of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch. Born in Elizabeth, he had a summer residence in Long Branch since 1924 and moved to Long Branch permanently in 1960. He is predeceased by his father, Salvatore F. LaCorte, who was former District Court Judge of Union County; his mother, Frances Liotta LaCorte and a brother Nicholas LaCorte in 1967, who was former State Assemblyman and Mayor of Cranford. Surviving are his wife, Doris SanGiacomo LaCorte; 4 sons, Michael of Titusville, Rocque of Sea Bright, Guy of West Allenhurst and Dean of Monmouth Beach; 1 daughter, Barbara Cuddy of Long Branch; two sisters, Concetta Juliano and Mary Kay Buckridge, both of FL., and 7 grandchildren.

LA PIERRE, Wilfred 'Bill', went to be with His Lord on January 7, 2010, of Mt. Laurel, formerly of Whiting and Mt. Holly. Age 84. Beloved husband of Rose D. La Pierre (nee Damato). Loving father of Mary Casper and her husband, Leo, Susan La Pierre and her partner, Terri Lovelace and John La Pierre and his wife, Lorraine. Dear grandfather of Matthew and Timothy Casper, Montana and Marissa Lovelace-La Pierre and Megan, Alyssa and Nicholas La Pierre. He is also survived by his brother, Allen La Pierre and many loving family members. Mr. La Pierre was a retired Air Force Tech Sergeant for over 20 years and was a Postal Clerk in Moorestown for over 20 years also. He was an active member of American Legion Post #11 and Masonic Lodge #14 both of Mt. Holly. Active in church, Mr. La Pierre was a member of Mt. ALBERT C. LAABS of Weehawken, NJ, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at the Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Center in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was 92 yrs. of age. Born in Milwaukee, WI, he was the son of the late Rudolf & Gertrude Laabs and the husband of the late Lillian (Nee Shepherd) Laabs. A former Warehouse Manager for Schadler & Sons American Piano Supply Co. in Clifton, he worked for the company for over 25 years until his retirement in 1982. He was also a veteran of the Army serving in WWII. He is the loving Father of Jill L. Ambrus and her husband Peter of Shamong, NJ and Albert C. Laabs and his wife Marlene of Padre Island, TX. James Francis LaBree, age 56 years, of Woodbury Heights, NJ died on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Chester, PA to Elizabeth Dorothy Nellis & the late Joseph James LaBree, he has lived here for the last five years coming from the Villas. He was a Registered Nurse having had worked at Cape Regional Medical Center, was founder of Family Service Organization of Cape May County and a Registered Nurse with Education Information Resources Center in Deptford.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kathy (nee Sinatra) LaBree, his mother Betty LaBree, son J.T. LaBree, daughter Krista Kane, step daughter Bri Bujalski, sister Elizabeth Lynch and three grandchildren; Eddie, Marissa & Kay LaBree.

CLARA A. (Bolino) LaGRECA of Mt. Laurel, NJ, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. She was 86 . Clara was proud of her Italian heritage. In 1947, she met her future husband, Anthony T. LaGreca, and they were married
in Pompeii, Italy. She came to the United States in 1948 and lived as a devoted wife for 41 years, mother and homemaker in Maple Shade, Marlton and Mount Laurel. She was an active parishioner of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Devoted and beloved Mother of Karl Anthony LaGreca and his wife Diane of Louisville, KY., Anna Maria LaGreca of Mt. Laielli, Henry "Hank"
Henry "Hank" Laielli, 80, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Laureldale, died on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at his home.
He was born in Pomona and moved to Vero Beach, FL 19 years ago from Laureldale. Before retirement, he worked for Hermann Forwarding as a truck driver. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a former member of the Atlantic County Firemen's Association.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jill Laielli; his children, Arlene Laielli of New York City, David Tozer of Petersburg, Holly Donohue of Mays Landing, and Kimberly Copeman of Vero Beach; his four grandchildren; and his four great grandchildren.

Laing, Forrest "Woody" P.
Forrest "Woody" P. Laing, 78, of Villas, died on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Hollis and Margaret (McKenna) Laing, he moved here over 40 years ago from Philadelphia. He was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus and was involved in politics in Lower Township. Woody enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, fossils and seashells and loved to make people laugh. He was a computer engineer for Sperry Univac in Blue Bell, PA then taught computer classes for 9 years at Cape May County Vo-Tech. He also did computer repair for Martek and was a real estate salesman for Coldwell Banker in Stone Harbor and Apex Realty in Villas.
Mr. Laing is survived by his wife, Dolly; his children, Marie Laing, Butch Laing, Michael Laing and his wife, Karen, all of Town Bank, Chris Laing and his girlfriend, Nate' of Del Haven, David Laing of Susquehanna, PA, and Gregory Laing and his wife, Amy of Green Creek; his stepsons, Stephen Moore and his wife, Debbie of Ocean View, and James Moore and his wife, Julie of Cape May Court House; his brother, Francis Laing of Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Gina Jerone, Amanda Brady, Michael, Matthew, Gregory, Timothy, Jeffrey, and Courtney; and his step grandchildren, Erika Ingmar, Samantha Moore, and Amanda O'Connor.

Edward James Laird, 81, of Ocean View, NJ, died on Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at the Eastern Shore Nursing Home, Swainton, NJ. He was born in Pennsauken Township, NJ, the son of the late edward J. and Ida May Blank Laird. He was an area resident most of his life. he was a retired carpenter for Morey Builders of Wildwood Crest, NJ. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his children: Edward (Russ) J. and his wife, Gail, of Somerdale, NJ, Susan DeStefano and her husband, Fran, of Ocean View, NJ, and Jeffery J. and his wife, Carla, of Erma, NJ; sisters: Florence Moy of Marlton, NJ, and Alice Thomas of Erma, NJ; and grandchildren: Phaedra and Kyle Laird, Gregory, Adriennd and Anthony DeStefano, and Stephanie and Justin Laird. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita C., on August 18, 2002.

Rita C. Laird, 79, of Rio Grande, died on Sunday in the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. Born in Philadelphia, she spent her younger years in Wildwood and raised her family in Rio Grande. She was a founding member of the Rio Grande Civic Club.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Edward; her loving sons: Edward "Rusty" of Somderdale, NJ, and Jeffery of Erma, NJ; loving daughter: Susan DeStefano of Ocean View, NJ; brothers and sisters: Jack Paynter of North Cape May, NJ, Vincent Paynter of Ayden, NC, Jerrie Door of Villas, NJ, Gloria Keever of Edgewood, NJ, JoAnne Everett of Jenson Beach, FL, and Judy LaPorte of Port St. Lucie, FL; and seven beloved grandchildren: Phaedre and Kyle Laird, Greg Adrienne and Anthony DeStefano, and Stephanie and Justin Laird. She was predeceased by her sister, Ellen McGee.

Adelaide E. Lalor, 81, of North Wildwood and Paoli, PA, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2008 at Cape Regional Medical Center. She was born in New York to the late Edward and Anna (Hammond) Gordon. She was a member of St. John Neumann Church in Bryn Mawr, PA and of the Middle Atlantic Swimming Association.
Mrs. Lalor is survived by her five sons, Robert Lalor of Paoli, PA, Richard Lalor and his wife, Terri of Portland, OR, Thomas Lalor of Paoli, PA, Edward Lalor and his wife, Katherine of Fox Chapel, PA, and Christopher Lalor of North Wildwood; her six grandchildren, Kimberly, Nicole, Maxwell, Jeffrey, Tess, and Braddock; and three great grandchildren.

Irene Martha Lamach, age 83 years of Cape May Court House, died on Monday, January 12, 2009 in the Court House Convalescent Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Irene was born in North Wildwood to the late George Brison MacCulloch & Alice Oldfield and had been a resident of Wildwood for over 20 years coming from Rio Grande. She was a telephone operator with Bell Telephone of Wildwood, a member of both North Wildwood Methodist Church and the Methodist Church of Wildwood Crest.
She is survived by her children; George (Sandy), Paul, Sandy (Kirby), Jimmy (Debbie), Gary (Sue), David (Carol) and Susan, her twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Lamanna, Louis J.
Louis J. Lamanna, age 78, of Ocean City, NJ, died on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at the Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, DC.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Louis V. and Mary Prete Lamanna. He made his home between Ocean City and Washington, DC. He attended St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Sea Isle City during his youth.
He was a graduate of Villanova University and received his law degree from Georgetown University. He was retired from the US Government as a hearing officer for the Labor Department. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed cooking and gardening.
He is survived by two nieces: Marilyn Petitto and Eileen Lamanna; four nephews: Vincent L. Lamanna, Jr., Stephen H. Lamanna, Peter P. Lamanna, and Louis J. Lamanna; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Peter V., Vincent L., and Celestino Lamanna.
