Knoblauch, Deborah Ann

DEBORAH ANN KNOBLAUCH (nee Dorety), of Blackwood, NJ, went home to be with the Lord after a long and valiant struggle on Friday, July 24, 2009. She was 56 years old. Born in Camp Breckinridge, KY, she is the daughter of Jean A. (Nee Piotrowicz) Dorety of Leisuretowne, Southampton, NJ and the late Joseph F. Dorety. A former Veterinary Receptionist fo the Chews Landing Veterinary Hospital in Clementon, NJ, she has resided in Blackwood for several years. She is the Loving Mother of Jason Ekstrom of Mt. Holly, NJ and is also survived by her Grandson, her brothers and sister and her dear friend Michael Kent. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, July 29th at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600).

Knopp, Gerald W.

KNOPP, GERALD W. on March 15, 2008, of Cherry Hill, NJ. Formerly of Philadelphia, PA. Age 63. Beloved husband of Mary Anne (nee Hafft). Loving father of David Knopp, Kimberly Fineman, and Laura Knopp. Also survived by his brother Franklin Knopp, and four grandchildren, Madyson, Molly, Amanda, and Nicholas. Gerald was the former owner of Nopoli Pizza in Cherry Hill. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Monday March 24 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt. 73 South, Marlton, NJ. Memorial Service will be 8:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private at a later date. Koch, Eva V.

Eva V. Moore Koch age 88 of Oceanport formerly of Sicklerville died on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at home. Born in Tabernacle, NJ, she had lived in Sicklerville before moving to Oceanport 1 month ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Winfield R. Koch, a son George Koch, and a daughter Lucille Zeitschel.

Surviving are 2 sons, Henry Koch, of Oceanport, Alvin Koch, of Voorhees, a brother Earl Moore, of Hainesport, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch will be in charge of the arrangements.

Koen, Joseph T.

Joseph T. Koen, 83, of Avalon, NJ, died on Sunday, December 5, 2004, at the Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Koen was born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Avalon. He was an active member of Maris Stella Church, serving as an usher, working bingo, helping with the Men's Ecumenical Breakfast, and was one of the offertory counters. He was a member of the Avalon Fire Police, served on the Planning and Zoning Boards, was a past treasurer of ASCO and now assistant treasurer, a member and past president of TROA (MOAA), the Avalon Lions Club and the Avalon Bowling League. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict retiring as a Major after twenty-one years of service. He was a graduate of LaSalle University. He retired from RCA as a logistic engineer after twenty-five years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane nee Smith; daughters: Elizabeth Morris of Wenonah, NJ and Kathyln Lauf of Exton, PA; step daughter: Kathleen Nace of Jeffersonville, PA; step son: Jack Kelly of Haddonfield, NJ; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother: John of Wenonah, NJ. He was preceded in death by a brother, William.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Thursday, December 9, 2004, at 12:00 PM at the Maris Stella RC Church, 50th St. and Dune Dr., Avalon, NJ, where friends may call 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. KOERNER, Mary J. (nee Smith)

On July 12, 2008. Age 97 years of Marlton, formerly of Cherry Hill. Beloved wife of the late Alphonse E. Koerner. Loving mother of Alphonse Paul Koerner of Marlton and Marie E. Crosby (Richard) of Sicklerville. Devoted grandmother of Kathleen Mullen (Blair) and Sharon Thomas (John) and great grandmother of Jared and Kyle Thomas. Dear sister of Kathleen Kaminski. Mrs. Koerner was a member of St Joan of Arc Church in Marlton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend that will be greatly missed by all. Kofoet on August 12, 2001 Rose of Cherry Hill formerly of E. Camden age 85 yrs. wife of the late Robert Kofoet. Survived by her daughter Kathleen E. Konefal, Stephen M.

STEPHEN M. KONEFAL passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 in Tampa. FL. He was 35 yrs. of age. Born in Norristown, PA, he resided in Tampa, FL for the past 19 months moving there from Pine Hill, NJ and Medford, NJ, where he lived most of his life. A Graduate of Shawnee High School Class of 85, he was a self-employed Brick Mason for 15 years affiliated with various General Contractors in South Jersey and most recently was a Manager for Tampa Builders, Inc. in Tampa, FL. He is the beloved son of Robert J. Konefal of Medford, NJ and the late Jean (Nee Lackman) Konefal. Also survived by his brothers Robert G. Konefal of Southampton, NJ and Michael J. Konefal of Chevy Chase, MD. He is the brother of the late Joseph James Konefal. Konefal, Robert G.

ROBERT G. KONEFAL, of Browns Mills, NJ, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009. He was 43 yrs. of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he is a graduate of Burlington County Institute of Technology, (BCIT) and was a self employed carpenter who managed his business center, "Carpentry by Konefal". He also conducted services for various licensed contractors in South Jersey and Delaware. He is the Beloved Son of Robert J. Konefal of Medford, NJ and Loving Brother of Michael J. Konefal of Chevy Chase, MD. He was predeceased by his mother, Jean M. Konefal and his brothers Joseph J. and Stephen M. Konefal. Koppenhaver on Feb. 15, 2002 Edna E. nee Bowker of Marlton age 97, wife of the late Blair Koppenhaver and survived by her two neices Alberta James & Margaret Willitts both of Medford, and several neices and nephews. Kornicki Sr., Joseph F.

KORNICKI, Suddenly on October 24, 2001, Joseph F. Sr. of Mullica Hill, NJ, where he has resided for 13 yrs. moving there from Medford, NJ. He was 58 yrs. of age. He is the loving husband of Paulette (nee Harshbarger) for 37 years and devoted father of Joseph F. Kornicki Jr., CPA, ESQ. and his wife Susan of Gloucester Twp., NJ and Jill S. Stanley and her husband Jeff of Summit, NJ. He is the adoring grandfather of Jenna Kornicki and Lindsay Stanley. He is also survived by his sisters Jeanine Kline of Chalfont, PA, Jerilynne O'Hara, ESQ. of Jacksonville, FL, his brothers James Kornicki of Gloucester Twp, NJ and Jeffrey Kornicki of Gloucester, NJ and several nieces and nephews. Joe was a graduate of Audubon High School in 1961 and the Spring Garden Institute in Phila., PA. in 1963. In 1969 he opened the first Haddon Transmissions Center, which now has 3 locations in Indian Mills, Gloucester Twp. and Maple Shade, NJ. A former member of the Medford-Vincentown Rotary Club he was also a Charter member and Past President of the Pinelands Rotary Club. He was an avid golfer who began his golfing career as a teen caddy for Tavistock CC in Haddonfield, NJ. Joe was never too busy or too tired to lend a helping hand to anyone or to care for any animal in need. He was respected and loved by all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Kosak, Tina S

Tina S. Kosak, age 48, of Burleigh, NJ died on Wednesday, December 17, 2009. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a lifetime county resident. She was manager of the Catalina Motel in Burleigh. She enjoyed painting, drawing and collecting native American artifacts.

She is survived by her children: Justin Rivera, Shannon Marie Remey, David E. Remey, Brittany Kosak, John and Anna Camara; her mother, Imogene Kosak and a grandson, Dylan Rivera.

Koss, Rosabel S.

Rosabel S. Koss of Stone Harbor died peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 2. She was born in Philadelphia in 1913, daughter of Agnes and Arthur Steinhauer. Her husband, Franklyn, predeceased her in l988. She is survived by four daughters, Lynn Knauff of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Susan Kreiner of Gilbertsville PA, Carolyn Ruef of Stone Harbor, NJ and Rosalind Diehl of Boulder Colorado, six grandchildren, Ian and Sean Kreiner, Christopher and Eric Ruef, and Paul and Julia Diehl, and four great grandchildren, Elyse, Corrine, Mackenzie and Elizabeth Grace.

She graduated from Trenton State College in 1935, and earned her doctorate degree from Columbia University in 1964. She taught in colleges throughout the state of New Jersey and mentored many educators in health and physical education, believing that one should make a difference in everything one does. One of her proudest contributions was the advocacy and establishment of Atlantic Cape Community College. Her lifelong devotion to women's issues and educational opportunities for women was served through membership and leadership on the Cape May County Advisory Commission on the Status of Women, the New Jersey State Commission on Aging, the League of Women Voters, the National Council on Aging, and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. Throughout her life she received numerous awards including: an Aging and Adult Development Award for her contribution to the enhancement of lifestyles of older adults in 2007, the Alice Stokes Paul Award for service to children and the elderly in 2003, a commendation from the state of New Jersey for her record of service and commitment in 2003, and induction into the Ramapo College Hall of Fame in 1998 as a co-founder of the college, and into the Trenton State College Hall of Fame in 1987. She served on the White House Council on the Aging in 1995. In her later years she was a docent for the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, a VIM volunteer, a citizen advocate member of the Cape May Commission of Health and Human Se rvices, and was a very active participant in church affairs at St. Mary's Episcopal Church.

The family requests that remembrances be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 9425 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, N.J. 08247 A memorial celebration is planned for January l9th at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Stone Harbor. For more information, please call the church office at 368-5922.

KOSZICK, ROSE on January 6, 2008, of Cherry Hill, NJ. Age 89. Devoted wife of the late Stanley Koszick. Loving mother of Judith Tidwell, Darlene Koszick, and Betty-Ann Busby and her husband, Jim. Beloved grandmother of Kim Tidwell, Robbin Puzo and her husband, Joseph, and Bradley Tidwell and his wife, Aileen. Also survived by her great-grandchildren: Hayley, Eric, Kimberly and Alanna Puzo, and Emily, Carson, and Dayna Tidwell. Kouril, George

George Kouril, 72, of Sebastian, FL, died on March 14, 2003, at Sebastian River Medical Center, Roseland, FL, after a brief illness. He was born February 13, 1931 in Astoria, Queens, New York, and moved to Sebastian in 1997, from Cape May Court House, NJ. Mr. Kouril was the owner/operator of the Crow's Nest in Wildwood, NJ, for 35 years. He was a member of the Eagles Sebastian Inlet Aerie #4067, Moose Lodge #1767, both of Sebastian, FL; he was also a member of the Elks and Moose in New Jersey.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Carol Kouril of Sebastian, FL; sons: Michael Kouril of Colorado Springs, CO, Timothy Kouril of Homestead, FL, Robert Kouril of Rio Grande, NJ; brother: Joseph A. Schebal of Sebastian, FL; and one granddaughter.

At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Cape May Court House, NJ. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Treasure Coast Area, 3375-20th St., Suite 100, Vero Beach, FL 32960, in memory of Mr. Kouril.

Kovach, Rev. Frank Z.

REV. FRANK Z. KOVACH, (Ret. Lt. Col. US Army) of Atco, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at the Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Berlin, NJ. He was 85 yrs. of age. Born in Newark, NJ, he resided in Linwood, NJ for the 37 yrs. before moving to Atco last year. A Retired Lt. Colonel in the US Army and Presbyterian Minister he faithfully served his country and God for many years. He was the former pastor of the Chelsea Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City until 1991. Prior to this he served the 1st Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City for 8 years. He is a graduate of Bloomfield College with a BS in English and was a member of the Essex Troop and the Keystone Masonic Lodge #153. He is the husband of the late Claire (Nee Nansen) Kovach. He is the loving father of Catherine J. Kovach of Medford Lakes, NJ, Frank N. Kovach of Mays Landing, NJ and Susan E. Shourds and her husband Mark of Medford Lakes, NJ. He is also survived by his brother Daniel Kovach of Sommerset, NJ, his sister Roberta Maddux of VA. and his Grandchildren Christopher Kovach, Emily Shourds and Eric Shourds. Relatives and friends are invited to a Commital Service on Sunday at 3:00 PM at the Head of River cemetery Rt. 49 Tuckahoe, NJ. Kovalevich, Keith M.

KOVALEVICH, KEITH M., passed away suddenly on June 30, 2006 of Barrington. Age 24. Beloved son of Ronald E. Kovalevich and Doris M. Cawthra (nee Steward). Loving brother of Kyle. Also survived by his step father, Richard S. Shute and many other loving family members and friends. Kowalczyk, John P.

John P. Kowalczyk, 84, of Oceanport died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was contracting officer at Fort Monmouth for 30 years before retiring in 1977. John was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch and served his country honorably in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the Matt Talbert Group and enjoyed playing golf and fishing with his buddies. Born in Baltimore, MD, he lived in West Long Branch prior to moving to Oceanport in 1977.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Perry Kowalczyk; four sons, John P. Kowalczyk, Jr., Paul Kowalczyk, Ronald Kowalczyk, and Steven Kowalczyk; a sister, Stella Kaminski; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 16, from 2- 6 pm from the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave, on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. Funeral Thursday at 9 am from the funeral home with the service to begin at 9:30 am. Interment will be at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. Kowalski, Jr., Henry "Hank" Jacob

Henry "Hank" Jacob Kowalski, 69, of Avalon, died on Friday, May 2, 2003 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and summered here from 1957 to 1976 when he moved permanently. He was a member of Maris Stella Church and the Avalon Fire Department. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was an automobile mechanic.

He was a loving husband to Dot (nee Reinhardt); and a loving "Dad" to David J. and wife Janet T. of Swainton, Joseph J. and wife Cheryl L. of Clermont, Timothy J. of Cape May Court House, Henry J., III and wife Karen E. of Wenonah, and Mary T. VanTrieste of Swainton; he was the loving son of Sophie (nee Waszkiewicz) Kowalski of Whiting; he was "Pop-Pop" to Brett and David Kowalski, Elizabeth A., Crystal R. and Molly F. VanTrieste, and Jake Kowalski, IV and a great grand "Pop-Pop" to Ashlynn Post and "Pop-Pop" to Marshall T. Ciccarone, Tracy M. Post and Bud Ziegler. Mr. Kowalski is also survived by four sisters, Dorothy Trendler, Regina Day, Loretta Horrell and Naureen Schnee. He is also survived by his German shepherds, Samie and Sara. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Jacob Kowalski, Sr.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Maris Stella Church, 25th Street and First Avenue, Avalon, where they may call from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Kozak, Bonnie

Bonnie Kozak, 54, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 as a result of an automobile accident. Born in Cape May Court House, she was a lifetime resident of the Cape May County area. As a recent graduate of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, she worked as a healer. She was formerly employed at the Cape May Court House Post Office.

Bonnie was a local activist and was involved in many groups, organizations, and causes in which she believed. She is a former member of the Middle Township School Board and former president of the Cape May County Art League.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Matthew and his fiancée, Beth, of Bellmawr, and Aaron and his wife, Dana of Williamstown; her mother, Betty Rhodes of Cape May Court House; and her devoted friend, Randall.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bonnie's memory may be made to the Southern Poverty Law Center, 400 Washington Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36104.

Kozubal, Julia M.

KOZUBAL, On October 13, 2002, Julia M. (nee Sullivan) of Medford. Age 85. Beloved wife of the late Chester J. Kozubal, a policeman in Chester, PA. Dear sister of John Sullivan, James Sullivan, Kathleen (Patsy) Erdlen, Nora Cohee, Margaret Sullivan and the late Mary Noonan, Anna McIlhenney and Dennis Sullivan. Mrs. Kozubal retired in 1982 after 25 years as an operator and plant employee for Bell of PA She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 10-11am Friday at the Church of St Mary, 2001 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 (Rt 295 Exit 34A then Rt 70 East to jughandle for Greentree Rd. Left onto Springdale Rd.) Mass of Christian Burial 11am Friday at the church. Interment private.

On October 12, 2002, of Marlton. Age 81. Wife of the late Leonard D. Survived by a daughter Lorraine Kester of Marlton; niece and nephew JoAnne and John Park of Marlton; great nieces and nephews John Henry and Gaylynn Park of Atco, Shayna Lynn Park of Marlton, Raymond E. Park of Marlton; great great nieces and nephews Nicole, David John, and James Park. Mrs. Goodrich was a retired cafeteria worker for the Evesham Twp Schools, a life member and Treasurer of the Marlton Fire Co. #1 Ladies Auxillary, a life member of the Evesham Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxillary, life time member Burlington County Fireman's Auxillary, Evesham Historical Society and Marlton Senior Citizens. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday eve 7-9pm and Friday 8:30-9:30am at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Funeral Mass 10am Friday at St Joan of Arc Church, Willow Bend Rd., Marlton. Interment Vincentown Baptist Cem.
