Jones (Leyble), Frances H.
Frances H. Jones (Leyble), 89, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away on July 21, 2006, after a brief illness. Frances grew up in New York City, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Hunter College and a Masters Degree from Columbia University.
For 37 years Frances (Fran) loved her work as a teacher and principal in the Mahwah, NJ public schools. Upon her retirement she moved to Manahawkin, NJ and then to Tuckerton, NJ. Several years ago, she relocated to Loyalton of Cape May in Cape May Court House.
She is predeceased by her husband, Spencer G. Jones, her youngest son, Thomas R. Jones, and her brother, Charles Hicks. She is survived by her son: Spencer C. Jones and his wife, Nancy, of Cape May Court House, NJ; grandson: Stephen S. Jones and wife, Jennifer, of Arlington, VA; her granddaughter: Caryn J. Hamblen and husband, Scott, of Glen Allen, VA; her sister-in-law: Marion Hicks; three great grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Fran's wishes, a private viewing and burial will be held. She will be laid to rest at St. Anthony's cemetery in Nanuet, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in her memory to the Mahwah Township Public Schools, Business Administrator, 60 Ridge Rd., Mahwah, NJ 07430. A memorial service will be held in the future.
Jones, Jr., Herman "Bud" Ennis
JONES, H. ENNIS, JR. "BUD" died on February 21, 2007 at The Glen at Willow Valley in Lancaster, PA. Age 84. Beloved husband of the late Ingeborg S. (nee Schaper). Devoted father of 4 daughters Barbara J. Bixler of Birdsboro, PA, Patricia J. Mehus of Greenville, SC, Marilyn J. Denlinger of Morgantown, PA and Terry J. Self of Seffner, FL. Loving grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 5. He attended Duke Univ undergraduate school of law. During WWII he was a first Lieutenant in charge of special services, First Air Force. After his military service, Bud entered radio as an assistant news editor of station WFIL, Philadelphia and later became staff news and special events announcer at station WDNC. He also performed similar duties at station WINZ, Hollywood, FL. After leaving radio, he was plant manager at Super Tire Engineering Corp. in Pennsauken, NJ. He was a salesman for Johns Manville Tape Division, which later became Nashua Corp, where he retired as a Midatlantic Area Sales Manager. He was active on three Boards of Education: Lake Pine Christian School, Faith Christian High School and Medford Twp Public Schools. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, Feb 26th at Heritage Baptist Church, 530 Union Mill Rd in Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Christian Academy at the above address.
Jones, Jr., Samuel
On March 6, 2008, God reached out His arms and gently gave rest to my Husband, and our Dad, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, Samuel Jones, Jr.
Samuel was born on January 31, 1922, in Chester, Pennsylvania to the late Magnolia and Samuel Jones, Sr. Samuel was active and member in good standing of Angel Visit Baptist Church. He served as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees until his illness prevented him in doing so.
Samuel received his early and high school education in the Wildwood Public School System playing football and track as a Wildwood Warrior. During high school, he transferred to Old Bordentown Manual Training School in Bordentown, New Jersey. While attending high school in Bordentown, Samuel was drafted into the U.S. Army in October 1942. While in active service (World War II), he served in the European Area. Samuel was decorated with the European African-Middle Eastern Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory Medal. He received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army December 1945.
Samuel was employed as a driver with Menz Food Distributors for several years. He then became a faithful employee of Borden/Snow for 25 years until his retirement. Becoming restless and wanting to be of service, he became a dutiful and committed driver for senior citizens at the Wildwood Housing Authority for several years.
Family was very dear to Samuel and on March 29, 1947, he married
Loretta Lewis. He was also very proud of his two daughters, Jennifer, his first born, Juanita, his baby, and son, Reynolds, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchild. "Pop-pop, Daddy, Sam, Uncle Sam, Mr. Sam, Yamp or Yamper, Old Man and Hound-Dog" were some of the affectionate names you may have heard him called by family and friends. Throughout the community and neighborhood, he could be seen taking his daily walk, his kind words and charismatic attitude touched all that came in contact with him.
Those who knew him best can remember hearing him say, "Everyday's A Holiday!" or After while Crock-a-dile!"
Samuel was a "big brother" and best friend to Doug Burton, William Robinson, Sr., and Jim Washington, as well as several others that looked up to him. He was brother to the late Charles ("Brother") Crawford, Mabel Brockington, who raised him, Eleanor ("Fally") Knox, George ("Sonny") Jones and Lorraine ("Doll") James. His favorite past-time was watching sports and then discussing stats with his "main men" brother BJ, friend Doug and grandson Orlando.
Samuel is survived and leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Loretta of 60 years, daughters Jennifer (Stewart) of New York, Juanita of Wildwood, son Reynolds Chamberlain of West Atlantic City, adopted son Michael (Mercedes) Gaines of Woodbine, grandchildren Starr Langford, Reynolds "Casey" Chamberlain, Tracy Jones-Killens, Jasmine Jones, Yahaira Jones, and Orlando Jones, and one great grandson Alex Langford, brothers William "BJ" Jones (Delores) of Wildwood, Lee Jones (Myrtle) of Trenton, sister Bernice Terry of Chester, PA, nieces Doris Ballard of North Carolina and Pauline Benson of Cape May Court House, sister in law Louella Jones of Burleigh, and a host of other nieces and nephews, Church family of Angel Visit Baptist Church, friends, and neighbors.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, Main Street, Whitesboro, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Freddie Jones, Jr., 52, of Woodbine, NJ, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at his home. Born in Cape May Court House, NJ, he was a lifetime Cape May County resident. He was employed by Robinson Pallet Company of Woodbine, NJ, a Marine Veteran, and a member of AA of Rio Grande, NJ. He was preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Jones in 1987. He is survived by his daughter: Tiffany Jones of Williamsburg, VA; step daughter: Sylvia (Tracey) Young of Wildwood, NJ; sister: Ruth Ann (Samuel) Smith of Atlantic City, NJ; six grandchildren; three nephews: Michael C. Jones, DaRonn Jones, Sr., and James Cathie, Sr.; and one niece: Tamia Bey. Memorial Service 12:00 noon Saturday, May 27, 2006 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ, where relatives and friends may call after 11:00 AM. Interment is private.
Jonin, Anna
Jonin, Anna, 84, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009. Born in Germany to Joseph and Theresa Birkeneder, she moved to the area last year after living most her life in Elizabeth while working for the General Dynamics Company.
Anna is survived by her children, Irma Butz of New York, Edmond Jonin of Pine Beach, and Thomas Jonin of Jackson; her siblings, Theresa Mazun of Pennsylvania and Erich Birkeneder of Germany; her grandchildren, Kathryn, Edmond Anthony, Leanna, Nina, Michael, and Tyler; and great grandchildren, Nikolas and Anthony..
A prayer service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210, where visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Internment is private and a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Jordan, Lorraine M.
Lorraine M. Jordan, 78, of North Cape May, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at her home. Born in Wildwood to the late Charles H. and Consuelo L. (Reed) Hewitt, she was a lifetime resident of this area. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She previously worked at Snow's Canning Company. Her happiest years were her grade school years at the Rio Grande School. She enjoyed being a mother and a homemaker.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her children, Wilburn Frazier, Rodney E. Frazier, and Jane Jordan; her sister, Dolores Krementz; her brother, Elton Hewitt; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Jordan; and her daughter, Lisa M. Jordan. She will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 1068 Seashore Road, Cold Spring, where viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery.

Theresa Jordan, 46, (nee DiDonato) of Williamstown, NJ formerly of Philadelphia, PA died Monday at home.
Theresa was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and she lived in Williamstown since 1997.
She is the beloved wife of Brian Jordan of Williamstown, NJ and the former wife of Francis Leahey of Laurel Springs, NJ. Dear daughter of Anthony and Anna (nee Folio) DiDonato of Philadelphia, PA. Loving mother to John and Jessica Leahey both of Laurel Springs, NJ and Victoria Jordan of Williamstown, NJ.

Sharon L. Jordan, age 55 years was a lifetime resident of Villas and died on Saturday, August 12, 2006, at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, was a Chambermaid at the Acacia Motel in Wildwood Crest before her retirement in 2005. Sharon was a "Mom" to everyone she knew.
She is survived by her husband John J. Jordan, Jr., her three sons; Ron Jordan, David (Melissa)Jordan & John IV (Sherri)Jordan and her daughter Amy (Jason) Wagner all of the Villas; her brother Tom (Rose) Luker of Petersburg and eight grandchildren.

Jordan, Edgar "Bud" Leon
Jordan, Edgar "Bud" Leon Jordan, 65, of Maple Shade, NJ, formerly of North Cape May, NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Kennedy Hospital, Cherry Hill, NJ. Born in North Wildwood, NJ to the late William and Eleanor (Honeywell) Jordan, he was a longtime resident of Cape May County. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a former member of the Seashore Community Church of the Nazarene.
Bud is survived by his wife, Patricia; his sister, Eleanor Forsyth of Villas, NJ; and his brothers, Richard Jordan of North Cape May, NJ, and James Jordan of New Egypt, NJ; and his best pal, Lucas.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 7, at 11:00 AM at Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery, 780 Seashore Road, Cold Spring, NJ. JORDAN, JR. MARK H., age 23, of Rio Grande, NJ, died on Sunday, October 15, 2006, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Cape May Court House, the son of the late Mark H., Sr. and Joanne (Langreter) Jordan and was a lifetime county resident. He was employed in home building construction. He is survived by two sisters: Jennifer L. (Tony) Anderson of Villas and April A. Jordan of Rio Grande; his paternal grandmother: Margaret Irene Jordan of Rio Grande; an uncle, Calvin Jordan IV of Villas; an aunt, Elaine M. Jordan of Cape May Court House and two nephews: Anthony and Austin Anderson. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Joseph F. Jordan, Jr., 70, of Cape May Court House, died on Monday, August 27, 2001, at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he had lived here for 63 years after moving from Philadelphia. He was the owner of Jordan's Masonry in Cape May Court House. He was a member of St. Raymond's Roman Catholic Church in Villas. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Delores E. (Cottrell) Jordan; his children, Renee Carmen, Joseph F. Jordan, III, and Donna M. Camp, all of Cape May Court House; his brothers, John, Pat, Tom, George, and William; his sisters, Diane, Theresa, Ann, Claire, Dolly, and Joanna; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Private funeral services are under the direction of Radzieta Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the charity of one's choice.

JUBB, Charlotte Mae (nee Levering) on February 3, 2004 of Millersville, MD, resident of Mt. Laurel, NJ for the past 3 years. Age 60 years. Beloved wife of Thomas W. Sr. for 37 years. Devoted mother of Thomas Jr. and his wife Veronica, Ronald and his wife Tina and Erin and her husband Jay Taylor. Dear sister of Charles Levering and his wife Donna and the late George Levering. Loving grandmother of Angela, Christopher, Rosina, Brian, Noah and the late Sydney Mae. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Prior to her illness, Mrs. Jubb was employed as an administrative assistant for W. R. Grace in Baltimore, MD for 15 years. She was incredibly strong throughout her life and her illness and found a way to do the things she loved, like being with family. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation Inc. On July 5, 2002, of Glendora, formerly of Cramer Hill (Camden) Age 84. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Franklin Juckett. Loving mother of Marvel of Riverside, Rose McHugh of Medford Lakes, Daniel of Maple Shade, Diane Bentliff of Gibbsboro, Richard of Newfield, Thomas of New Hampshire, Jack of Gibbsboro, Jill Sterling of Portland, Maine, and Linda Roche of Magnolia. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, a sister Virginia McBurney of Virginia Beach and a brother Marvel Henson of Somerdale. Judyski, Philip Robert
JUDYSKI, PHILIP ROBERT, age 40, of Avalon, NJ, died at home on Friday, October 6, 2006. He was born in Sea Isle City and was a lifetime resident here. He was a graduate of Middle Township High School. He was a professional sport fisherman having fished for marlin and tuna on the eastern coast of the United States including Cape May, Avalon, Palm Beach, Fl., Costa Rica and Panama. He was a member of the Recreation Fishing Alliance and the International Billfish Assn. He is survived by his father, Philip F. of Avalon; a brother, Kevin S. of Dennisville; paternal grandmother; Josephine Heintzelman of Avalon; maternal grandmother; Tamera Sutton of Dennisville; great uncle and aunts: Philip and Barbara Matalucci and Josephine Matalucci; uncles and aunts: Richard and Veronica Judyski of St. Simon's GA; Sandra and John Buccella of Downington, Pa.; Robert and Patty Sutton of Dennisville and a niece a nd nephew: Kerry and Tyler Judyski. He was preceded in death by his mother, Constance J. on August 31, 1983. The funeral liturgy will be said on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at 10:30 am. at Maris Stella Church, 49th and Dune Drive, Avalon, NJ where relatives and friends may visit at 9:30 am. Interment will be in the Seaside cemetery, Palermo, NJ.
Juliano, Sandra Altberg
Sandra Altberg Juliano, age 70 of West Long Branch died Sunday, December 19, 2004 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a registered nurse at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. After retiring, she was a volunteer for St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center. Born in Long Branch she was a life resident of West Long Branch. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent G. Juliano in 2000. Surviving is her son, Louis Juliano of West Long Branch; two daughters, Cheryl Gregory of Oakhurst and Lynn Di Donato of Manasquan; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third) on Tuesday Dec. 21 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm with a funeral service to begin at 8:30 pm. Funeral, Wednesday, 8:00 am at the funeral home with a 10:00 am committal service at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial cemetery, Wrightstown. Jumper, William N.
William N. Jumper, 78, of Ocean City, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2003 at his home. Born in Northumberland, PA to the late George G. and Dora J. (Frontz) Jumper, he moved to this area from Harrisburg, PA in 1948. He was a member of the Ocean City Presbyterian Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher and a deacon. He received a Purple Heart as a Navy Veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Belleau Wood. He was a plank owner of the Navy Memorial, a member of the Navy League, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Post #0137, the F&AM 171 Lodge, and AARP. He was a charter member of Boy Scout Troop #8 of Harrisburg, PA and Scout Leader of Ocean City for many years. He was also a volunteer for the Maritime Museum of Port Norris.
Mr. Jumper is survived by his daughter, Darbi Hess and her husband, William of Heislerville; his brother, Clarence of New Cumberland, PA; and his grandsons, Wade Hess and Eric Hess. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma in 1993.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

JURENKA, on November 10, 2002, EDWARD of Cherry Hill, NJ. Formerly of Queens, NY. Age 79. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Kuna). Loving father of Edward J. of Blenheim, NJ and his lifetime partner Joseph W. Pratz, and Robert A. and his wife Sharon of Lakewood, CO. Grandfather of Jonathan, Robert Jr., Samantha, Olivia, and Sierra. Edward is also survived by his sister-in-law, Emily Lakiewicz of Brooklyn, NY, a niece, Catherine Calinski of Long Island, NY, and 2 nephews, Richard Sitarski of Hillsborough, NJ and Joseph Lakiewicz of Queens, NY. Mr. Jurenka was a veteran of the US ARMY and served with the 283rd Engineer Combat Battalion during WWII. He was formerly a member of the American Legion in Cherry Hill.
