Hobbs, Jr., Charles A.
HOBBS, CHARLES AUGUSTUS, JR. on November 2, 2006 of Marlton. Age 87. Beloved husband of Emilie (nee Kay) for 49 years. Devoted father of Charles A. III and his wife Tracey of Gloucester Twp and Brian Lee and his wife Karen of Cherry Hill. Loving grandfather of Charles A. IV and Alexander S.
Born in Alamo, GA on April 4, 1919, Mr. Hobbs was the son of the late Charles Augustus and Rachel May Griffin Hobbs.
Mr. Hobbs graduated from Georgia Tech and started working for RCA. He was assigned as a field engineer to install and maintain radar equipment for Navy airplanes and blimps during WWII. While on assignment in the South Pacific, he survived a kamikaze attack on the aircraft carrier Enterprise. After the war he returned to RCA to continue his 43 year career in Moorestown, NJ designing radar equipment, while studying at the Univ. of Penn. Another assignment took Mr. Hobbs, along with his family to the Marshall Islands spending six years on Kwajalein. While there he enjoyed ham radio communications. The Hobbs family would like to thank the staff of Moorestown Visiting Nurses & Hospice for all their care and attention. The Services were private at the convenience of the family.
Hodges, Sr., Robert A.
Robert A. Hodges, Sr., age 57, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Saturday, October 27, 2007, at the Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He was born in Savannah, GA, the son of the late William Michael and Marie Aldret Hodges, Sr. He was an area resident since 1962.
Bob was supervisor of the Middle Township Road Department before retirement and served as Middle Township Committeeman for fifteen years and was also deputy mayor. He served on the Middle Township Planning Board; the Board of Elections; was a police commissioner; a member of the Rio Grande and Middle Township Volunteer Fire Companies; a past president of the Cape May Court House Kiwanis Club; and a member of the Middle Township Chamber of Commerce. He also worked for the Division of Motor Vehicles and started the program for missing children. He was voted as Outstanding Young Man of America in 1985. Bob had health issues and was not able to fish and crab as often as he desired.
He is survived by his wife, Debra A., a son: Robert A., Jr. of Cape May Court House; a brother: Michael of GA; three sisters: Linda Winters and Debbie Hodges of FL and Pam Upp of IN; a half brother, Sean Hodges of FL; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Robert B. and Marna A. Bradshaw.
The Funeral Liturgy will be said on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Garden State Parkway and East Mechanic St., Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may visit from 8:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. Memorials for those who desire may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 N. Shore Rd., Absecon, NJ 08201.
HOEGER, Shirley E. (nee McKee)
On 7/3/2002 of Delair and Cramer Hill, NJ; age 64 years.
Mrs. Hoeger was employed at United News in Philadelphia, PA for over 25 years and Milford Tea Co. in Pennsauken, NJ for 20 years.
Devoted Mother of Joseph McKee, Sharon McKee and the late David McKee; Loving grandmother of David, Jacob, John, Steven, Brittiany, Nathan, Cheryl, Kathy Jo, Sharon and Shannon; Dear sister of Carol West, Florence Moulton, Mark & Michael Hasenpat and Mary Smith.

Hoff, Olga Mulvey
Olga Mulvey Hoff of Long Branch passed away on March 14, 2007 at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch after a brief illness. She was born in the Forest Hills section of Newark on August 6, 1911. She lived there until she married
Eugene H. Mulvey in 1936. She attended Ridge St. School, Barringer High School, and Drakes Business College. She was a parishioner of St. Marks Episcopal Church, Newark; and was an avid tennis player, belonging to the Forest Hills Tennis Club. She was born Olga Cadmus and lost her parents at a young age. She was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Douglas and Cora Fletcher.
During WWII, she supported the war effort as an inspector on the assembly line for the Grumman Avenger Naval Aircraft. She was awarded a Rosie the Riveter Certificate for her service. She also worked over the years in retail sales for department stores, as a Welcome Wagon hostess, and electronic circuit board assembler at Electronic Associates, Inc., Oceanport.
Olga loved life and was very passionate about her family. She was actively involved in St. James Episcopal Church, Long Branch and many community activities. She was an assistant Girl Scout Leader for ten years. She was a supporter for the N. Long Branch Community Center where she served as a board member. She belonged to the Long Branch Historical Society; the Long Branch Women's Club; the Oceanport Garden Club; and was a Clean Ocean Action supporter and volunteer. She and her second husband Nelson where considered honorary mascots for the swim team of Ship Ahoy Beach Club where they enjoyed membership for over thirty years. She volunteered at the political polls during local elections in Long Branch. She was an avid gardener and won many awards for her floral arrangements. She was a devoted animal lover and pet owner.
She was very proud of her Dutch heritage and was an associate member of the Holland Society of New York. Her father was descended from the first Colonial Governor of Rhode Island. On her mother's side, she was related to the early English settlers.
She was predeceased by her parents, James Louis and Ethel Leggett Cadmus; her adoptive parents, Douglas and Cora Fletcher; her first husband, Eugene Mulvey; her second husband, Nelson Hoff; and her brother, Kenneth Cadmus. She is survived by her daughter, Marina Mulvey Christopher and son in law, Gregory J. Christopher of West Long Branch; a grandson, Gregory J. Christopher of Boulder Creek, CA; grandson, Keith P. Christopher and wife, Suzanne of Beachwood; and great granddaughters Sarina of Boulder Creek, CA, and Julia of Beachwood, NJ; stepson, Richard Hoff and wife Ann of Foley, AL; step granddaughter, Joy of Foley, AL; a sister, Helen Davidson; and nieces, nephews and a sister in-law.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue, corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. Funeral, Saturday, March 17, 9:00 am from the funeral home with a 10:00 a Mass at St. James Episcopal Church, Long Branch. Interment will follow at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. Hoff, John
John Hoff, 82, of Villas NJ passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2001, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Dorothy, NJ on April 24, 1919. He attended Middle Township Schools. He proudly entered the Army Air Corp and the Merchant Marines. He owned and operated his own farm and the Haceinda Campground on Route 47 in Dias Creek for fifty two years.
He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Town Bank; the Wildwood American Legion and the North Wildwood Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, boating and traveling in his motorhome in his later years.
John leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Stella Read Hoff; his two sisters: Laura Emma Hess of Rio Grande and Anna Hoff Kusmaul of Washington Township, NJ; two stepsons: Pastor Vincent Inzerillo of Seattle, WA and Domenic Inzerillo of Boothwyn, PA; four step grandchildren and one step great grandson; seventeen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Verna Felmey Hoff; three brothers: William, Otto and Edward; one sister: Emily Hoff Wedra and a nephew: Edward Hoff, III. His funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 30, 2001, at 10:30 am at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ where friends may call after 9:30 am. Hoff, Theo G.
Theo G. Hoff, age 95, of Green Creek, NJ, died on Monday, February 19, 2007, at the North Cape Center, North Cape May. She was born in Berlin, NJ the daughter of the late Walter and Clementine (Entriken) Jaggard. Mrs. Hoff was a graduate of Middle Township High School and Glassboro (Rowan University) Teachers College. She was a retired teacher having taught in the Rio Grande School. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association; the N.J. Farm Bureau and a life member of the Friends of Batsto.
Mrs. Hoff had attended the Green Creek Community Church and the Rio Grande Bible Church.
She is survived by her son, David Alan Hill, of Mission Viejo, CA, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto in 1990; two brothers: Walter and Forrest Jaggard and two sisters: Mabel J. Colwell and Edna Small.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at 11:00 am at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ. There will be no calling time. Interment will be in the Rio Grande Baptist cemetery, Rio Grande, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Church of one's choice.
Hoff, Jr., William E.
William E. Hoff, Jr., 72, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Thursday, February 5, 2004, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born in North Wildwood at the Margaret Mace Hospital, the son of the late William E., Sr. and Emily H. Andre Hoff.
He had worked at Colson Lumber Company for twenty five years and then the Green Creek Lumber Company for three years. He formerly worked at the Penn Ice and Coal Company in North Wildwood. Mr. Hoff enjoyed farming and collecting John Deere model tractors. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine J. Kelly; his children: William E. III, and George D.(Teresa) both of Cape May Court House, NJ; Kathleen J. Wajda (Joseph) of Villas; two brothers: Charles A. and Raymond J., both of Cape May Court House; two sisters: Anna E. Hoffert of Erma Park and Barbara A. Rodgers and one granddaughter, Christine A. Fowle. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at 11 am at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ where friends may call at 10 am. Interment will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery.
Hoff, Sr., Charles A.
Charles A. Hoff Sr., 73, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in North Wildwood to the late William Edward and Emily H. (Andre') Hoff, Sr., he was a lifetime resident of this area. He worked at Colson Lumber for 36 years. He enjoyed farming, spending time with his family, and watching TV.
Mr. Hoff is survived by his four children Deborah Hoff, Robert and wife Nichol Hoff, Charles and wife Theresa Hoff, and Paul Hoff; his sisters, Anna Hoffert, and Barbara and husband Daniel Rodgers; his brother, Raymond; and his five grandchildren, Breann Hoff, Kayla Hoff, Shelby Hoff, Emma Hoff, and Haylee Seper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery. Hoffman, Mildred R.
Mildred R. Hoffman, age 82, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Monday, February 18, 2008, at the Cape Regional Medical Center. She was born in Avalon, NJ, the daughter of the late Floran M. and Norva (Gaskill) Risley, and was a lifetime county resident. She attended Avalon Public Schools and was a 1944 graduate of Middle Township High School. In 1948, she married
Paul Hoffman, who preceded her in death in 1987.
She became a member of the First United Methodist Church on March 9, 1952, where she was also a charter member of the Rainbow Club since 1950; taught Sunday School and sang in the Church choir. Millie was an artist and her work included wildlife and she also enjoyed gardening. She was retired from the Cape May County government and was appointed as Clerk of the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders which she held the position for twenty four years.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Kirk) Mathis of Cape May Court House, NJ; two brothers: James (Betty) Risley of LaPlata, MD and Charles Risley of Cape May Court House, NJ; a granddaughter, Chrissy Mathis; three nieces: Norva E. (John) McBride of Franklinville, NJ; Grace C. Palmer and Narda C. Bell both of Arizona; a nephew: Larry Howard and wife, Sis and their children and grandchildren; and grandnieces and grandnephews: Narda, Zachary, Samantha McBride, Jason and Jim-Jim.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may visit 10 am to 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Baptist cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.
Hoffman, Edythe W.
Edythe W. Hoffman, 91, of North Cape May, died Monday, August 6, 2001, at the Victoria Manor Nursing Home, North Cape May. She was born in Wildwood and was a lifetime county resident.
She was the widow of the late Frank "Dutch" Hoffman, and the daughter of the late Elwood and Martha Moore Westerland. She is survived by two daughters, Joan Goodkin and her husband, Barry, of Surprise, AZ, and Barbara Cousin and her husband, Jim, of Warminster, PA; her grandchildren, Cynthia Grosse, Chris Grosse, Fred Grosse, Jr., Monique Dunmore, and Scott Cousin; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Tabernacle Methodist cemetery, Erma.

EMPLOYMENT: Philadelphia Electric Company as a Supervisor at the Chester Station for 39 years retiring in 1986
ORGANIZATIONS: Church: Mount Hope United Methodist Church, Aston, PA where he was a member for 45 years. He served as Trustee, former President of Trustees and also as a Sunday School Teacher.
Other: Mr Hoffman was a man devoted to his home, family and church. He was a member of the Aston Lions Club where he served as Past President and was a Melvin Jones Fellow. A long time volunteer at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. He enjoyed camping, the seashore, traveling and especially loved working with flowers.
SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Alice (nee Johnson) Hoffman; Three Daughters: Marilyn J. (Paul) Titter of Lancaster,PA, Michele G. (David) Turocy of Chelmsford, Massachusetts and Julie (Tom) DiVittorio of West Grove,PA; One Brother: Robert Hoffman of Canton, Ohio; Also survived by Eight Grandchildren and One Great-Granddaughter.

Caring daughter of Paul C. and Jane Maracina. Dear sister of Richard Maracina and his fiancé Jennifer, Karen Soohoo and husband Gil and John Maracina and his wife Arlene.
