Gasaway, Robert F.
ROBERT FREDERICK GASAWAY of Leisuretowne, Southampton, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 2nd, 2007 at the Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was 84 yrs. of age. Born in Boone, Iowa, he was the son of the late Ila (Harden) and Ellis Verne Gasaway and was raised in Chicago, IL. After graduating from Tilden Technical H.S. he worked as a laboratory technician in a biochemistry lab at the University of Chicago. In late 1942, he applied for and was accepted in the Army Air Corps pre-meteorology program and attended Hamilton College for a year. Following this he was assigned to the Army Air Corps weather service as a weather observer. After receiving an honorable discharge from the service, he attended Perdue University where he graduated in 1948 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He then worked as a Chemical Engineer with Metal & Thermit, then Air Reduction and later as a Startup Engineer and Technical Writer for Badger Engineering of Cambridge, MA where he retired in 1986. After moving to Leisuretowne he became a member of the Leisuretowne Singers. Bob is the Loving husband of 49 yrs to Marjorie (Nee Fauquier) and the younger brother of William of Thailand. He is also survived by his 3 nephews in CA and his dear friend Robert L. Siegmann of Knoxville, TN and his daughters Elaine & Cheryl. Martha I. Gaskill, 85, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at Eastern Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Alexandria, VA and moved here over 50 years ago. She was a cook at the Lutheran Home at Ocean View. She loved country music and bird watching.
Mrs. Gaskill is survived by her sons, Jay Gaskill, Jr. and William Gaskill, both of Cape May Court House; her daughters, Juanita Hickman of Green Creek, Martha Warnig of Woodbine, and Bobby Brown of Tennessee; her 19 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Gaskill, Sr. in 1983 and her daughter, Marie Hickman.

JOSEPH W. GASKILL, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2003 at his home in the Leisuretowne Section of Southampton, NJ. He was 72 yrs. of age. Born in Medford, NJ, he resided here most of his life moving to Leisuretown 2 1/2 years ago. A retired employee of the Twp. of Medford, he served the Twp. for 22 years until his retirement in 1992. He was also a former Fire Marshall and Fire Chief for the Twp. in the 1970's. He is a veteran of the Navy serving in the Korean War. He is the beloved husband of Patti M. (Nee Abrams) Gaskill. He is the loving father of Linda Holloway and her husband Stan of Maine, Joanne Schacker and her husband Jamie of Southampton, NJ and Jackie Bohn and her husband Mark of Medford, NJ, step-father of Dr. Joseph Sullivan and his wife Cindy of Marlton, NJ, Rita Costello and her husband Michael of Shamong, NJ and Gary Sullivan and his wife Janis of Tabernacle, NJ. He is also survived by his 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Gass, Rebecca, 65, of Rio Grande passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2009. Born in Philadelphia to Frank and Anna (Maraldo) Pinciotti, she lived in Arizona before moving to the area in 1985. She was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star and Moose Lodge #585 of North Wildwood.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Paul Gass, Jr., her son, Paul (Debbie) Gass III of Dennisville, daughter Brenda Gass (Bill Schubert) of Del Haven; brothers Joe, David, and Frank Pinciotti; her sisters, Anna Pinciotti, Helen Maxwell, and Jean Taylor; and her grandchildren, Paul IV, Cory, Ryan, Danielle, Shaun, and Joey.

Bartolomeo J. "Mike" Gatto
On August 14, 2006 at 5:00 p.m., B.J. 'Mike' Gatto, a genuine and loyal man died in the presence of his children at the age of 99. Emma, his wife, preceeded him in death by 30 years. Mike is survived by his four children, James "Sonny" and his wife Connie of Marlton, Alberta (Gatto) Smith of Stuart, Florida, Harry and his wife Deborah of Cedar Brook, and Michael and his wife Pamela of Vineland. As the patriarch of 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, he was loved and respected. One of 16 children, he is survived by George DeChurches of Marlton, Angie Iannotti and Rita Mazzeo both of Hammonton.
Mike was a plumber for RCA in Camden for more than 40 years prior to his retirement. He was an experienced gardener, hunter, and outdoorsman.

Marie L. Gaudious age 86 of Long Branch died Wednesday February 18, 2004 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a seamstress retiring 25 years ago. Born in Holmdel, she had been a life resident of the shore area. She was predeceased by her husband Louis Gaudious in 1971. Surviving are a daughter and son in law, Diane and William Christy, of Oceanport, and a granddaughter Dawn.

Allison J. Gaul, 86, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. Born in Jersey City to the late Frank H. and Isabella (Dowell) Gaul, she moved here in November of 1999 from Cranford. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cranford, where she had the longest membership in the church. She was also a member of the Cranford Wednesday Seniors.
Ms. Gaul is survived by her sister-in-law, Anna M. Gaul of South Dennis; her niece, Judy Moudy; her nephew, Jack Gaul and his wife, Karen; and her great nephews, John and Christopher.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Cranford, 201 Lincoln Avenue, Cranford. Burial will be in the church memory garden. Victor H. Gaul, 87, of South Dennis, died on Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at Crest Haven Nursing Home. Born in Jersey City, he lived here for 15 years after moving from Readington Township, NJ. He was a heavy equipment operator for IUOE Local 825. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House.
Mr. Gaul is survived by his wife, Anna M. Gaul; his daughter, Judy Moudy of South Dennis; his son, Jack Gaul of Pipersville, PA; his sister, Allison J. Gaul of Ocean City, NJ; his grandsons, John and Christopher; and his three great grandchildren.

GAUTHIER, Patricia L. (nee Bell) of Marlton, passed on to a better life on January 24, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joseph C. Gauthier, daughters Christine D'Amore (James) of Jupiter, FL, Katie Gutwald (John) of Clarksville, MD and Mary Barnes (James) of Shamong, NJ, brothers Charles Bell (Kristen) of Ellicott City, MD and Dennis Bell (Adrienne) of Towson, MD and grandchildren, Anthony, Colleen, Meghan, James, Emily, Brett, John and Elizabeth. She was predeceased by two sons, Mark Joseph and Joseph Charles. Patricia grew up in Baltimore, moved to Richmond in her early teens where she graduated from St. Gertrude's High School. She went on to study and graduate from Mount St. Agnes College (now part of Loyola College) with a degree in biology. After a short stint as an administrative aide to the Jacksonville FL Medical Examiner she devoted her years to being a stay at home mom and raising her family. In recent years, she loved to travel, especially on cruises. She was an avid bowler as well as a voracious reader. She was an active member of her church choir and the Village Greene's social committee. Gaver, Dorothy Errickson
Dorothy Errickson Gaver, 89, of Cape May, died at the Atlantic City Medical Center on December 29, 2008. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald A. Gaver on December 14, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Martha (Rice) Errickson, and her two brothers, Edward Leaming Errickson and Richard Whitall Errickson. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Gaver Shank (husband Luther D. Shank, III) of Odessa, DE; her son, Eric Donald Gaver (wife Diane R. Gaver) of Cape May; and five grandchildren: Justine Elizabeth Gaver, Eric Curtis Gaver, Luther D. Shank, IV, Whitney Lawrence Jackson, and Jamie Lyn Jackson.
Dorothy's commitment to the history of Cape May County was evident as she was a lifetime member of the Cape May County Historical and Genealogical Society; she served on the Board for many years; was Chairperson of the Costume Committee and was named Trustee Emeritus in 1998. She was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of New Jersey, the National Society of the Colonial Dames in the State of New Jersey, and The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Among her other interests, Dorothy was a member of the Board of the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital and an active member of the auxiliary for many years. She held longtime memberships in the Women's Community Club of Cape May, the Garden Club of Cape May, Questers, Old Brick Presbyterian Church, the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts, the Corinthian Yacht Club, the Cape May Beach Club, and the Cape May Cottagers Club. Her volunteer work also included leading the 4-H and the American Girl Scouts. Her love of horticulture was evident in the surrounding areas of each home in which she lived.
Dorothy graduated from Middle Township High School in 1936; attended Wilson College for two years and graduated from Hahnemann Hospital as a laboratory technician. She worked in the Shore Memorial Hospital until her marriage to Donald A. Gaver on June 12, 1943. She then began her productive life of volunteering, leading and assisting others, exploring history and agriculture, and giving fully of herself to her family.
The funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Gaver, Donald Albert
Donald Albert Gaver, age 93, of Cape May, NJ died Sunday, December 14, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Altoona, PA, on October 23, 1915, the son of the late Frank W. and Alice M. Filer Gaver. Mr. Gaver was a 1933 graduate of Altoona High School, a 1937 graduate of Susquehanna University, and a 1940 graduate of Dickinson School of Law, Penn State University. He moved here in 1942 from Pennsylvania. He served as a Lieutenant in the Naval Reserve during World War II at the Cape May Naval Air Station, and then served in the South Pacific from May, 1942 to January, 1946. He was a member of the Harry Snyder Post 193 of the American Legion, and a life member of the Peterson Little Post 386 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1947 and conducted a general civil practice from 1947 to 1996 in Cape May. He was a member and past president of the Cape May County Bar Association.
He served as solicitor for the City of Cape May and the Township of Middle as well as being solicitor and member of the Board of Directors of the Dennisville Building & Loan Association; South Seaville Building & Loan Association; Merchants National Bank of Cape May; the First National Bank of Cape May Court House and Sturdy Savings Bank. He also operated an insurance agency in Cape May.
He was a life member of the Military Officers Association of America, and a member of the Jersey Cape Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America; a member of the Cape May County Historical and Genealogical Society; a fifty-year member of the Hiram Lodge 616 of Free and Accepted Masons and the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church. He held memberships in the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May; the Cape May Cottagers Association and its Board of Directors; the Cape May Beach Club and Board of Trustees; the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 82 of Cape May.
He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Rice Errickson, whom he married
in June, 1943; a son, Eric D. and wife, Diane of Cape May; a daughter, Donna Gaver Shank and her husband, Luther D. III of Odessa, DE; and five grandchildren: Justine E. Gaver, Luther D. Shank IV, Eric C. Gaver, Whitney L. Jackson and Jaime L. Jackson.
