Mary D. Gabriel, age 94 years of Cape May Court House, NJ died on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA she has lived in this area since 1975 coming from Tenafly, NJ. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cape May and was a retail clerk at the Tenafly Department Store retiring in 1975 after ten years of service. She married
Norman E. Gabriel in 1933 and he preceded her in death in 1988 after fifty-five years of marriage.
She is survived by her two sons; Jeffrey N. Gabriel of Mahwah, NJ, Kenneth N. Gabriel of Denver, CO, her daughter Linda Gabriel of Sayreville, NJ her brother James Pastre of Audubon Park, NJ and her six grandchildren.

Gadek, Halina
Halina Gadek, age 80, of Clermont, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. She was born in Warzyn, Poland and moved here in 1980. She was a retired seamstress for the Wildwood Linen Company.
She is survived by her husband, Eugeniusz; a daughter with whom she lived and was cared by, Mariola (Antoni) Kubiak; a son, Marek (Halina) Gadek of Poland; a brother, Les (Erna) Kaluza of Oregon; a granddaughter, Magdalena (Adam) Banach of Middle Township, NJ; two great granddaughters: Olivia and Sophia; and a cousin, Grazyna (Stanislaw) Grzywacz of Brooklyn, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may visit from Noon to 2:00 p.m. Interment is private.
Gadsby, George W.
George W. Gadsby, 87, of Rio Grande, died on Thursday evening, August 8, 2002, at the Harbor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewes, DE. He was born in Philadelphia and had lived in Avalon for fifty years. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Stone Harbor. He was a retired vice principal of the Sayre Junior High School in Philadelphia. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Florence nee Conway and two sons: David L. of Rio Grande and George E. of Lewes, DE; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2002, at 2:00 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House where friends may call at 1:00 PM. Gaetano, Dominick J.
DOMINICK J. GAETANO, 90, of MONMOUTH BEACH, died Sunday, May 11, at Renaissance Gardens at Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls. He was the principal owner of M&G Carting Co., New York, which was established in 1937. He was a member of UNICO, IAMA of Long Branch and past member of the Monmouth Beach Planning Board. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in New York City, he lived in Bayonne before moving to Monmouth Beach 51 years ago.
He was predeceased two sisters, Isabel Forino and Marie Connell. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Beatrice Tocci Gaetano; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony J. and Lynn Gaetano of Little Silver; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Robert Skowrenski of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, and Catherine and Ronald Greene of Oceanport; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Damiano Funeral Home, corner of Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. The funeral will be 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Long Branch. Entombment will follow in Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Beatrice Tocci Gaetano, 90, of Monmouth Beach died Friday, April 6, 2007 at St Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch and a member of UNICO. Born in Bayonne, she had lived in Monmouth Beach since 1952. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Dominick J. Gaetano in 2003. Surviving are a son and daughter in law, Anthony J. and Lynn Gaetano, Little Silver; 2 daughters and 2 sons in law, Ellen and Robert Skowrenski, Oakhurst; Catherine and Ronald Greene, Oceanport; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Kevin (Joy) of Marlton, Sean and his fiancee Irene Kenney of Philadelphia, Robert (Veronica) Battersby of Gloucester City, Michael ( Marlene) of Audubon and Kathleen of Audubon, and 3 grandchildren, Adam Battersby and John and Kailey Gaffney. He is the brother of Kathleen Scaltrito of Hammonton, Jack (Dorothy) Gaffney of Mays Landing and Phyllis (Peter) Rubba of Hammonton. Mr. Gaffney was a manager at Lakeside Manor in Gibbsboro, and had formerly been a manager at Degenharts and Shillig's Black Horse Farms in Mt Ephraim, the Greentree Inn in Marlton and the Mallard Inn
In Mt Laurel. He was a Veteran of the Army during the Korean Conflict. Lucille K. Killen Gaffrey age 93 of Long Branch died Monday at Care One in East Brunswick.
she was a registered nurse for MCOSS for 25 years before retiring in 1974. She also served as a nurse in the Army on the Philippines Islands during WWII
Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Maplewood before moving to Long Branch in 1949.
She was a parishioner of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch and a member of the Older & Wiser Club.
Member of AARP, Monmouth Co. Senior Citizens Council, Broadway Seniors & Active Club of Long Branch. She was an active Bingo and Bridge player.
Predeceased by her husband Adrian J. Gaffrey in 1977.
Surviving are a son, William Gaffrey of Georgia; 2 grandchildren, Kim & Mark and 3 great grandchildren.

Gaines, Lillian, 89, of Woodbine, NJ, died on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at her home. She was born in Jacksonville, FL, the daughter of the late Edward and Minnie Anderson. She was a retired nurse at the Woodbine Developmental Center, where she had worked for over fifteen years. She was a member of the Woodbine Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed crocheting and going shopping. She is survived by three sons: Benjamin and his wife, Ruth, Edward, Sr., and Michael and his wife, Mercedes, all of Woodbine, NJ; and a daughter: Lillian of Atlantic City, NJ. Mrs. Gaines was the last of her generation having been one of thirteen children. She is also survived by thirty one grandchildren; fifty six great grandchildren; twenty six great great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild; and a host of nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in October, 2005. Gaines, Benjamin Lawrence
Benjamin Lawrence Gaines, 72, of Woodbine, was born on May 11, 1934 in Atlantic City, NJ to Lillian Rebecca and William Gaines. Benjamin and his brother were raised in Philadelphia and attended the Philadelphia School Systems prior to moving to Wildwood.
Prior to moving to Wildwood, he met and married
his wife, Ruth, and into that happy and loving union they were blessed with nine children.
Benjamin, by trade, was a truck driver. He spent 28 plus years with Dee Lumber Company in Cape May Court House. He finished his working career at the Woodbine Developmental Center in Woodbine.
Benjamin was a faithful and devout Jehovah's Witness for almost all of his life and became a minister of the faith. Some of his fondest moments were spent recording and taping services, lessons and Kingdom Melodies. His other interests included photography, computers, lighthouse pictures and books.
On March 31, 2007 Benjamin went to sleep. Surviving his journey is his loving wife, Ruth Louise Gaines; eight children: five sons, Benjamin, Jr., Ronald, Garry, Paul, and Michael; and three daughters, Ruth Brenda Jefferson and her husband, Raymond, Margaret Lillian Elias and her husband, Joe, and Pamela Johnson and her husband, James; two brothers, Edward and Michael; one sister, Lillian Gaines; 16 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, William.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be private. Born in Camden, NJ, she has resided in Lumberton for the past 6 months moving there from Medford, NJ where she lived for 4 years and Hampton Lakes in Southampton, NJ where she lived for 14 years. A devoted mother and home maker, she is the Beloved wife of Edward A. Gallagher, John Thomas
John Thomas Gallagher, 84, of Sea Isle City, died on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at his home. Born in Ocean View to the late William H. and Jennie P. (Runnels) Gallagher, he was a lifetime resident of this area. He was a foreman for the Cape May County Road Department for 25 years. He owned a landscaping and lawn care business in Sea Isle City for many years, and was formerly employed by the Garden State Publishing Company in Sea Isle City. He was an Army Veteran of World War II in the 876th Airborne. He was in the second wave at Normandy and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He received the European, African, and Middle Eastern Service Medals, the Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He received a Medal of Recognition for the 50th anniversary of Normandy. He was a member of the VFW and a former member of the Painters and Allied Trades Union Local 1983.
Mr. Gallagher enjoyed telling stories about World War II to his family and friends and would record the stories for his family. When he couldn't visit with his family, he would always call them on the phone. He loved his animals and enjoyed to cook. He especially liked the family BBQ's on the Fourth of July and Memorial Day.
Mr. Gallagher is survived by his children, Charlotte Krementz of Egg Harbor Township, Howard Soutter of Egg Harbor Township, Jeanne Swift of Ocean City, and Ingrid McLarnon of South Seaville; his brother, Thomas Gallagher of Chester, PA; his sister, Anna Fraim of Chester, PA; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; his niece, Betty Ann Stec; and his nephew, George Holly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie R. (nee Pancoast) Soutter-Gallagher in 2004.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Gallagher, Timothy Charles
Timothy Charles Gallagher, 45, of Miramar, FL, formerly of Avalon, was born on August 22, 1958 and was suddenly taken from us on Februay 8, 2004. Tim was a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle and great uncle. He follows his father, Joseph E. Gallagher, who passed away on October 3, 2000.
He leaves behind his loving mother, Elizabeth M. (Saunders) Gallagher, along with his devoted wife, Leslie (Hayes) Gallagher, and his four year old son, Mehkih. Tim's brother, Joseph (Chris), and his sisters, Kathleen, Maureen, Eileen, Patricia, Mary and Theresa, will have an unfillable void in their hearts.
He was a graduate of Wildwood Catholic High School and Atlantic Community College. His life took him on many journeys from Avalon to California and Florida, where he finally settled to take on the role of entertainment director at various clubs. Tim will be greatly missed by all, along with the altruistic qualities his possessed his humor, compassion, patience and understanding. We hope and pray that Tim had a positive effect on your lives and you will use his benevolent attributes to influence your life.

She is survived by her husband, William J.; two sons, William D. of Strafford, PA, and Brian J. of Horsham, PA; two daughters, Mariellen Gallagher of NY, and Christine Miner of South Dennis; two sisters, Mary Thomson and Margaret O'Rourke, both of Philadelphia; and six grandchildren.

William J. Gallagher, 82, of Avalon, died on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at High Gate at Paoli Pointe Assisted Living Center, Paoli, PA. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and summered here since 1974 before moving here permanently in 1984 from Roslyn, PA. He was a member of Maris Stella Church in Avalon. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and worked as a computer analyst for the Defense Personnel Supply Center in Philadelphia.
Mr. Gallagher is survived by his sons, William D. of Strafford, PA, and Brian J. of Horsham, PA; his daughters, Mariellen Gallagher of New York, and Christine Miner of South Dennis; his brothers, Daniel and David, both of Philadelphia; his sister, Marie Short of California; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth A. on August 24, 2001.
