Evans, Leonard Charles

Leonard Charles Evans, 33, of Villas, NJ, was born November 21, 1970 in Cape May Court House, NJ to Ben and Arlene Evans. Lenny was the fifth of six children. He had three brothers and two sisters. In his youth, the family attended St. Stephen's Church in Whitesboro, NJ where he was a member.

Lenny was a life long resident of Middle Township and a 1989 graduate of Middle Township High School. He was a hard working, caring person who gave his best to his job and his community. Lenny served in the National Guard from June 1989 to June 1997. On September 7, 1991, Leonard married Sheila Ann Francis. Leonard and Sheila are the proud parents of five children. The family lived in Cape May Court House until they moved to the Villas in 1994.

After high school, Lenny worked at Avalon Honda for two years before moving on to Tropicana Resorts and Casino where he worked for twelve years until his death. Tropicana employees have fond memories of a dedicated and dependable co-worker.

Lenny was a kind, loving and very supportive husband. He was a generous, patient and loving father to his five children. His warmth, his smile, and the comfort of his thoughtfulness will be sadly missed by his wife, his children, his family, his friends, and all who knew him.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Sheila Ann, his children, Brandon, Leonard Jr., Terance, Desirae, and Kyle; his parents, Ben and Arlene Evans of Cape May Court House; his siblings, Elliot of Edgewood, Maryland, Leverne of Severn, Maryland, Ben Jr. from North Wildwood, New Jersey, Gary from Tampa, Florida, and Roshanda from Prince Georges County in Maryland. He is also survived by and will be missed by his mother and father-in-law, Peter and Agapita of Indian Trail; brother-in-law Christopher Francis of Wildwood Crest, New Jersey; sister and brother-in-law Priscillas and Steven Borders of Atlanta, Georgia.

Lenny touched many lives and his loss will be mourned by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at 11:00 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may call 9:00 to 10:45 AM. Interment in Household of Ruth cemetery, Whitesboro, NJ. Memorials may be made in his memory by contacting William Davis at (609) 465-9406 or Peter Francis at (609) 465-3545.

Evans, Frances Melina

FRANCES MELINA EVANS, of Pompano Beach, Fla., formerly of LONG BRANCH, died Thursday, Aug. 2, at her home. Born Feb. 17, 1914 in New York City to Anna Knutsen Melina and Valentine Melina, Frances was an energetic, bright, and talented ballerina who met her future husband, Thomas B. Evans in the graduation line at Long Branch High School, Long Branch. The high school sweethearts married in 1934 and recently celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary. She loved books, bridge and crossword puzzles. She and her husband led a life of adventure, living in Maine, Utah, New Jersey, Florida, Maryland, West Virginia, Indiana, and Oregon and making lifelong friends in every location. She was loved by all and will be truly missed.

She was predeceased by her parents; and a son, Tommy. Surviving are her husband, Thomas B. Evans; their son, Thomas L. Evans and his wife Marion Evans of Long Branch; two daughters, Linda and her husband John R. Cox of Platteville, Colo., and Virginia and her husband Ernest G. Condra of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren, Marli Franco, Susan Atwood, Kyle Condra, and Bryan Condra; six great-grandchildren, Evan, Alex, Jordan and Isabella Franco, and Michael and Melina Atwood; a sister, Anita Quesada of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a brother, Valentine Melina and his wife Pat of Zephyrhills, Fla.

Private family interment will be held at a future date in Long Branch. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association of Broward County, 8333 McNab Road, Tamarac, Fla.

Evans, Frederick A.

Frederick A. Evans, 78, of Wellington, Florida formerly of Long Branch, passed away May 19, 2004 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was an assistant Vice President at First Fidelity Bank in Long Branch, retiring is 1982. He was a member of AAONMS Salaam Shrine, Livingston, N.J., serving as Potentate 1983; Amara Shrine, Palm Beach Gardens, Fl.; Matawan Lodge 192 F&AM; Scottish Rite of Lake Worth Fl.; Royal Order of Jesters, Newark Court #3, and the Cabiri of Salaam and Amara Shrine. He enlisted in the Merchant Marines 1943 served in Pacific and European Theaters. In 1945, he enlisted in the Navy, served in Pacific Theater including 2 "A" bomb tests at Bikini Atoll, being aboard the nearest ship to the tests. Born and raised in Long Branch, moved to West Long Branch in 1957, relocated to Wellington Florida in 1999.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 46 years, Arline Bjorkner Evans; 2 daughters and sons in law, Susan and Jeffrey Winterbauer of Wellington, FL, and Beverly and Kevin Carden of Bel Air Md.; a sister and brother in law, Lois and Frank Fariello, Palo Alto, CA; 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to: Hospice by the Sea, 1531 Palmetto Park Rd., Boca Raton, Fl. 33486 or your favorite charity. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch is in charge of arrangements.

Evans, Anne B.

Anne B. Evans, 77, formerly of Avalon, NJ, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Martin Nursing Center in Stuart, FL. She was born in Camden, NJ to the late Raymond and Esther (Carr) Brierley, and lived in Avalon before moving to Hobe Sound, FL twelve years ago. She was formerly employed by Ferguson-Dechert Real Estate and Keen's Pharmarcy. She enjoyed playing bridge and Bingo and loved the beach.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband, Howard A. Evans; her four children, Judy May and her husband, Paul, of Ocean View, NJ, Sue Tozour and her husband, George, of Goshen, NJ, Bruce Evans and his wife, Dawn, of Clermont, NJ, and Howard "Corky" Evans and his wife, Claire, of Easton, MA; and her grandchildren, Brian, Jeff, Morgan, Shane, Jared, Kyle, Drew, Ryan and Maeve. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gail B. Warren.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997 or the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Rd., Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.

Evans Jr., Gregory A

Evans Jr., Gregory A. Suddenly on June 8, 2007. Of Bellmawr, NJ. Age 33. Loving son of Leah and Bruce McCutcheon and the late Gregory Evans Sr.. Dear step brother of Kelly and Alex Evans. Caring nephew of Gary and Shannon McCutcheon. Gregory will also be missed by his devoted friends Brian Adams and Michelle Scharff as well as many other friends and family members. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt.73 and Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ 08053. Everett, Marion

Marion Everett, 81, of Whitesboro, died on Sunday, December 1, 2002 at her home. She was born in Baltimore, MD.

There are no immediate survivors.

Everett, Mae J.

EVERETT, on March 7, 2005, Mae J. (nee Martin) of Mt Laurel NJ, formerly of Williamstown and South Phila. Age 98. Beloved wife of the late George Washington Everett. Loving mother of Mae Adair of Mt. Laurel, the late George Washington Everett, Jr. and the late Kathleen Cassidy. Dear sister of Amanda McPeters of VT and Laura Johnson of Lindenwold NJ. She is the grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 15 and great great grandmother of 3. Everhart, Nancy C.

EVERHART, NANCY C., on February 24, 2008, of Mt. Laurel, NJ. Age 59. Beloved mother of Heather MacVicar. Also survived by her friend, Clark Hill, brother, Joseph Harmon Everhart and wife Frances, 2 nephews, and numerous friends and family. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday Feb. 28 from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. EVERLING, Robert F.

On October 6, 2006. Beloved husband of Eileen (nee McCook) of 48 years. Cherished son of the late Robert J. and Margaret L. Everling. Dear father of Eileen Reilly and her husband Robert, Marianne Devine and her husband Frank, Kathleen Haverstick and her husband Dave, Roberta Everling, and LCDR Robert J. Everling and his wife Jennifer. Loving pop-pop to Jackie, Danny, Maureen, Christine, Kerri, Frankie, Katelyn, Kayce, Kylie, Tim, Matt and the late Jake. Bob was born and raised in Philadelphia where he resided until moving to Marlton in 1995. Bob was a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Army, a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School Class of 1950, and attended St. Joseph's University. Bob was a former circulation zone manager for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Bob was a former President of the Philadelphia Quartet Swim Club and a member of the St. Christopher Seniors Club. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 7-9pm Tuesday and 8:30-9:30am Wednesday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Ewan, Anita Elizabeth

Anita Elizabeth Ewan, age 73 years of Shawcrest, NJ, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. She was born in Bellmawr, NJ to the late William Schade & Anna Rausher and has lived here for the past twenty years coming from Blackwood. She retired from Bell Telephone as a Telephone Operator after 35 years of service. She was a member of the North Wildwood Elks, enjoyed bowling, ceramics, breeding Poodles and was active in the Shawcrest Mobile Home Office & Marina.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Walter H. Ewan, Jr., her two sons; Walter H. Ewan, III & Darrin Ewan both of Blackwood, NJ, her daughter Donna and her husband Ronald Stortini of Blenheim, NJ, her brother William Schade of Clayton, NJ, her sister Ginny Porch of Woodbury, NJ and her three grand daughters; Staci, Julie & Amy.

Funeral service 11:00 am Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 am. Entombment in Cold Spring cemetery Mausoleum, Cold Spring, NJ.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.

Ewan, Jr., Harry W.

Harry W. Ewan, Jr., 59, of Wildwood, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at home. He had been a life long area resident.

He was a 1963 graduate of Wildwood High School, and was recently employed at the Charles Harvey Furnishings in Wildwood.

He was predeceased by his father and mother, Harry W. Ewan, Sr. and Florence J. Ewan of Wildwood Crest, NJ. He is survived by his brother: James R. Ewan and his wife, Nancy, of Cape May Court House, NJ; nieces: Maureen, Lisa, and Caroline; and cousins: Kathleen Venuti and Charles R. Ewan, Jr.

Services and interment are private.

Ewert, Donald R.

EWERT, on April 16, 2002, Donald R. of Lindenwold NJ. Age 77. Beloved husband of the late Nancy C. (nee Cross). He is survived by his children, Donald R. Jr. of Cherry Hill, Susan N. Carter of Atco and Paul D. of Mt. Laurel and 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Laura. Born and raised in Gloucester City, Mr. Ewert was a veteran of the US NAVY serving in WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was a Boiler Operator for Philadelphia Electric from 1948 until his retirement in 1987. After retirement, he was employed with Carter Fire Safety, Bellmawr. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday from 9-10am at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton (856 983-1005) where a Funeral Service will be held at 10am. Ewing, Angela P. Ceravolo

Angela P. Ceravolo Ewing, age 65 of Shrewsbury died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at home. She was a legal secretary for Allegra and Nebelkopf of Red Bank for over 35 years. Born and raised in Long Branch, she had lived the past 8 years in Shrewsbury.

Surviving is her son and daughter in law, Anthony and Denise Ewing, Eatontown; her step mother, Alicia Ceravolo, Long Branch; 2 brothers and 2 sisters in law, Rocco and Cathy Ceravolo, Pennsylvania and Anthony and JoAnne Ceravolo, Long Branch; a sister, Betty Carnes, Shrewsbury; a grandson and his wife, Tony and Jenn Ewing; 3 step grandchildren, Tristin, Lance and Cory; 5 great grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Breeanna, Haley and Sean; a nephew, Rocco; 3 niece, Stacy, Jaclyn, and Jillian; and great nephew Baby Jason.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 1, from 2-4, 7-8:30 pm followed by a funeral service to begin at 8:30 pm from the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave (corner of Third Ave), Long Branch.

Ewing, Margaret Davis

Margaret Davis Ewing, 84, of Parkersburg, WV, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at the Court House Convalescent Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Murraysville, WV, she was a lifetime resident of West Virginia, living in Parkersburg over forty years. She was an office manager at the Wood County Mental Health Clinic. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Parkersburg, the American Legion Auxillary, and a lifetime member of the Ravenswood Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Ewing is survived by her daughter, Jeannine Koknar of Cape May Court House, NJ; her brothers, W.E. (Bus) Davis of Vienna, WV and H. Paul Davis of Clearwater, FL; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Ewing and her son, Joseph R. Ewing.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Waverly United Methodist Church with her nephew, Reverend John Frum presiding. Inurnment will be in Mount Olivet cemetery, Parkersburg. Memorial donations may be made to Waverly United Methodist Church, Route 1 Box 183, Waverly, WV 26184.

Eyler, Robert J.

Robert J. Eyler, age 42, of North Wildwood, NJ, died on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at the Thomas Jefferson Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. He was born in Elkins Park, PA, and was an area resident here for twenty two years.

He was a supervisor for Home Depot. Robert enjoyed being with his wife and best friend, Cheryl. He also enjoyed working at the Wildwood Boardwalk as a clown at the dunking tank; playing his X-Box and watching the Steelers.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl J.; a daughter, Bryn Edmonds of West Chester, PA; two step-children: Paul H. Willis of Elkins Park, PA and Melissa A. Willis of North Wildwood, NJ; his mother, Irene; a brother, Stephen; a brother in law, Howard Walker (Loretta) of Folcroft, PA; a sister in law, Patricia Walker of Washington, Twp., NJ and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Friday, April 4, 2008, at 11:00 am at St. Ann's R.C. Church, 2901 Atlantic Avenue, Wildwood, NJ, where friends may visit 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to the Jefferson Foundation, 925 Chestnut St., Suite 110, Philadelphia, PA 19107.

Ezzi, Gertrude N.

EZZI, Gertrude N. (nee Beatrice) On Nov., 12, 2009. Age 96. Of Sicklerville, NJ. Beloved wife of the late Walter. Loving mother of Anthony (Louise) Ezzi, Rosalyn Ezzi and the late James Ezzi. Dear grandmother of five, great-grandmother of six and great-great-grandmother of three. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation from 10 to 10:30 on Wed. Nov.18th at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 100 Willow Bend Rd., Marlton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 Wed. at the church. Interment will be private.
