EARHART, Earle B., Jr., suddenly on September 27, 2009, of Marlton, born in Philadelphia. Age 49. Beloved husband of Susan M. Earhart (nee Lynch). Loving father of Christine L. and Elizabeth G. Earhart. Dear son of Grace and the late Earle B. Earhart, Sr. He is also survived by several loving family members and friends. Mr. Earhart was a driver for American Transfer for over 22 years and most recently LRI Logistics in Swedesboro and was also employed with Lynch Exhibits. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local # 676, Camden. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday from 6-8pm at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Earle, Lorna Young
LORNA YOUNG EARLE, who was born on July 2, 1955, the very much beloved daughter of Mary Ellen and Frank Wick of Narberth, PA and Marie and George Young of Furlong, PA, died on February 14, 2004 as a result of an allergic complication following an automobile accident. She is survived by the light of her life, her daughter, Adrienne Earle, a senior at TCNJ in Trenton, NJ and the love of her life, her fiancee, Michael Lorenz of Cherry Hill, NJ. She is also survived by her sisters, Ellen Grill of Lansdowne, PA, Nancy Speers of Collegeville, PA and Julie Shopa of Downingtown, PA and her brother Craig Young of Marseille, France as well as many nieces and nephews. Lorna has also left behind many, many close and very loving friends. She was a much loved and respected member of the staff of Hopewell Valley Regional High School in Pennington, NJ where she was a guidance counselor. Lorna was completely and unconditionally devoted to her students. Lorna touched the lives of all who had the joy of knowing her and the world has lost a truly beautiful, loving, and spiritual soul. Our lives will never, ever be the same without her. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 from 6-9:30 PM and Thursday, February 19, 2004 from 9-10 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 South in Marlton. Samantha Earp, age 42 of Eatontown died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at St Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Long Branch. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Toms River moving to Eatontown 4 years ago. She was predeceased by her father, John Earp, Sr.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Doreen, Khristi, and Ashley Hart; her mother, Carol Walsh; her brothers and sisters, Scott Earp, John Earp, Carol Earp, Sandra Dedeaux, and Catherine Walsh; a granddaughter, Adrianna Jarvis; and her fiancee, Gary Kessler.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, from 6 pm until the time of service at 6:45 pm from the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. Brother of Jay Easterday and Martine Simonetti. Bill was a Supervisor with General Motors for 37 years. Eaves, Vernon Leroy
Vernon Leroy Eaves, 78, of Cape May Court House, a long time resident and a retired Navy man, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009 in Cape Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for family and close friends will be private at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue in CMCH, NJ followed by an interment at the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Vernon Eaves, son of Roy and Florence Eaves, was born in Dallas City, IL.
At the early age of 17, Vernon left home to join the service to help support his family. For a decade he mailed money home to his mother. Eaves, a 20-year Navy veteran, was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1966 when injuries cut short his career. He had just passed the military requirements for Petty Officer 1st Class and Chief with the rating of Chief Boatswain Mate, but had to retire. Amongst other ships, Vernon served on the USS Kiowa (AFT-72) a sea going tug, USS Windlass (ARSD-4), and on his last ship the USS Suffolk County (LST-1173) on what he affectionately called the 'Suffering' Suffolk County.
His long navy career took him to Guam, Hawaii, Panama, and throughout the Atlantic, Caribbean and the Mediterranean. He served as a hard hat salvage or 'deep sea' diver, in addition he ran an Admiral's barge in Panama and an Admiral's barge out of Bayonne, NJ. He loved serving his country in the US Navy and was very proud of this.
He received the following commendations and medals: Four Naval National Defense Service Medals; 1952 Commanding Officer USS Gayety (AM-239) for untiring efforts, assistance and devotion to duty during diving operations; 1955 Gold Conduct Medal; 1962 Commanding Officer USS Suffolk County for outstanding leadership and professional ability in maintaining high state of readiness.
Following his Navy retirement, Vernon was a long time resident of Cape May County where he and his son started Eaves Lock & Security. Vernon was well known around town from running the Key Shop. He loved to tell sea stories from his travels around the world. He loved to fish, hunt and especially combing the beaches of Cape May County metal detecting. As a child of rural hard times, he never complained and was always a very hard worker. He loved his family and he fondly dreamed of moving back to his childhood home along the Mississippi River.
He is survived by his son Keith, daughter-in-law Pam, two grandsons Christopher and Brandon, daughter Mayling, son-in-law Bill, two granddaughters Amelia and Lydia, five Surviving Brothers (Guy Eaves, Fountain Green, IL, Gerald Eaves, Memphis, Mo, Lester Eaves, Niota, IL, Jackie Eaves, Ft. Madison, IA, and Richard Eaves, Ft. Madison, IA) and four Surviving Sisters (Helen Bowlyou, Lomax,IL, Betty Scott, Ft. Madison, IA, Imogene Hodges, Ft. Madison, IA, and Linda Neuendorf, Donnellson, IA), and the mother of his children, Pamela. He was predeceased by his parents Roy and Florence Eaves, Mike, Pat and Billy Eaves and Ruby Pickard (nee Eaves).

CHARLOTTE A. EBERHARDT (Nee Baukal), of Marlton, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 27th, 2007 surrounded by her family. She was 71 yrs. of age. Born in Phila., PA, she is the wife of the late Frank C. Eberhardt. A resident of Marlton for the past 35 yrs. she moved here from Willingboro, NJ and was a former Computer Trainer for Cigna Insurance Co. in Mt. Laurel, NJ. She is the Beloved Mother of Lynn M. Kent and her husband Raymond of Medford, NJ, and Tracey A. Capriotti of Delran, NJ. She is also survived by her Sister Agnes Uhl of Bel Air, MD and her Grandchildren Jessica A. Kent, Dana M. Kent, Daniel F. Kent, Jospeh F. Capriotti and Anna Lyn Capriotti. George F. Ebert age 60 of Long Branch died Monday, February 23, at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center Long Branch. He was a clerk at AGFA in Jamesburg for 33 years before retiring. He served honorably in the US Army. He was a parishioner of R.C. Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Rita M. Eckert, 86, of Avalon, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2005 at her daughter's home in Canton, NC. She was born in Philadelphia, PA. She moved to Avalon permanently in November 1980 from Norristown, PA. She was a member of Maris Stella R.C. Church. She was very active in the church and various civic organizations in Avalon.
Mrs. Eckert is survived by her children, Joseph H. Eckert of Asheville, NC, Roseann Dennehy of Canton, NC, Charles G. Eckert of Philadelphia, Marian T. Eckert of Waynesville, NC, Mark S. Eckert of Durham, NC, and Dolores LaRivierre of Fairfax, VT; her 17 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Joseph H. Eckert on November 22, 1999.

EDENFIELD, Alton E. 'Ed' on January 9, 2007, of Voorhees NJ, formerly of Egg Harbor Twp. NJ. Age 95. Beloved husband of 69 years of Mary Edenfield (nee D'Adamo). Loving father of Alicia F. and her husband, Raymond Marini of Medford, formerly of Marlton. Dear grandfather of Vincent Marini and his fiancee', Erin Mosher and Steven Marini. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A veteran of the US Marine Corps and a member of the Marine Corps League, Mr. Edenfield served 2 tours including WWII. After WWII, he was a clothier at the Marine Corps Depot, Phila. until 1962. For the next 10 years, Mr. Edenfield worked for Villager Clothiers, Phila. Eduardi, Mary V.
Mary V. Eduardi, 86, of Sea Isle City, died on Saturday, April 6, 2002 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia and summered here before moving permanently in 1970. She and her late husband, Anthony J. Eduardi wintered in Florida from 1987 to 1993. She was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church here. She was an avid bingo player and casino slot player.
She is survived by six children: Sisinia Pro of Somers Point; Rita McDonald of Sea Isle City; Frank P. Eduardi, Sr. of Sea Isle City; Mary DiPadova of Folcroft; Theresa Grosso of Seaville; and Anthony J. Eduardi, Jr. of Ocean View; one brother: Richard Cacchio of Philadelphia; one sister: Pauline Madora of Turnersville; fourteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
A Mass of Resurrection will be said on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's R.C. Edwards, Robert J.
Robert J. "Sailor" Edwards, 62, of Avalon Manor, NJ, died on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at the Hospital of the Univeristy of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. He was born in Oaklyn, NJ, and lived in Collingswood, NJ before moving here in 1975.
He retired in 2005 after twenty years of service from the Boro of Avalon as Senior Traffic Maintenance. "Sailor" was a collector and enjoyed watching baseball and football and working on his computer.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his daughter, Jessica of North Wildwood, NJ; and a sister, Darlene Tosti of Florida.

Edwards, Gary
Gary Edwards, age 54 of Wayside died Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He graduated Long Branch High School in 1970 and the Police Academy in 1980. Gary then went on the serve over 20 years for the Long Branch Police Department, where he was a Field Training Officer, Code Enforcement Officer and worked in Administration. Before retiring in 2000, he received numerous letters of commendation. Born in Georgia, he had been a resident of the shore area. Gary served his country honorably during the Vietnam Conflict in the U.S. Marines. He was predeceased by his wife, Donna Edwards in October of this year and a sister, Linda S. Finn. Surviving is a daughter, Ashleigh Edwards; two sons, Drew Edwards and Brandon Edwards; all at home; and a brother, Martin Edwards of Naples FL.
Visitation will be held at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue, at the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Monday, December 11, from 7-9 pm with Words of Remembrance to begin at 8:30 pm. Edwards, Sr., Allen George
Edwards, Allen George, Sr. - (Whitesboro, NJ) passed away peacefully on January 13, 2005, at the age of 91. Born on October 25, 1913 in Fresno, CA, Mr. Edwards attended school until his relocation to Camden, NJ, where he was raised by his Aunt Mamie White. As a young man, his first jobs were cook on a fishing vessel, maintenance worker on Hunt's Pier, local truck driver with Dee Lumber Company until his retirement, and bartender at the Golden Dragon for over 20 years. His work in the fishing industry brought him to Wildwood, NJ, where he met and eventually married
his beloved wife, Thelma Keesee (pre-deceased 1971). Nine children originated from this marriage. He worked the majority of his life, and only wanted the best for his wife and children. Mr. Edwards was an avid reader of cowboy books, a cowboy movie enthusiast, and a Jeopardy fan. His favorite eatery was Sugar & Spice Donut Shop located in Wildwood, NJ. Mr. Edwards attended Eureka Baptist Church in Wildwood, NJ.
He is survived by his children: Allen G. Edwards, Jr. (PhD) of Vancouver, British Columbia; Elaine Hatcher, Hartford, Connecticut; Noel Turner (David), Woodbine, NJ; Alvin Edwards, Alexandria, VA; Eleanor Whitted (William), Whitesboro, NJ; Norman Edwards (Alice), Hartford, Connecticut; Donna Lynn Edwards (pre-deceased); Donald Edwards (Aretha), Alexandria, VA; Terri Lynn Bryan (John), Burleigh, NJ; 21 grandchildren; 22 great grand children of which 3 are pre-deceased; two Sisters-in-law, Gertrude Harris (pre-deceased) and Julia Burks, Hoboken, NJ; one Brother-in-law, John Keesee, Washington, DC. Mr. Edwards left a host of family and friends throughout NJ and PA.
A Viewing will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Christ Gospel Church, 119 West Anna Street, Whitesboro, NJ. Services will follow at 12 noon. Burial Services will take place at the Household of Ruth cemetery, Whitesboro, New Jersey with return to Christ Gospel Church for the Repast.

Egan, Jr., Joseph Vincent
Joseph Vincent Egan, Jr., 87, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center - City Division. Born in Staten Island, NY to the late Joseph Vincent and Gertrude (Sandin) Egan, Sr., he summered in Avalon for many years before permanently residing there in 1979; he then moved to Cape May Court House in 1987. An Army Veteran of World War II, he enjoyed running, tennis, politics and his pets. He was a Commissioner in Haverford Township, PA for 14 years, declining to run again in 1972. He was active in many recreational and other projects in Haverford Township for many years when he lived in Bryn Mawr, PA.
Mr. Egan is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee Comerford); his children, Susan Egan, Jay Egan, Stuart Hammond, and Cindy Hammond; and five grandchildren.

Eisenberg, Abraham
Abraham Eisenberg, died on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at the Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Woodbine, NJ, he was the son of the late Samuel and Amelia Fenster Eisenberg, and was a lifetime resident here. He was a cashier at Caesar's Casino. He was an Army Veteran of World War II serving in the European Theatre. He was a member of the Woodbine American Legion and the Woodbine Rescue Squad, and enjoyed fishing, bowling. He had a captain's license and was captain for Captain Cramer. He also had an aircraft pilot's license.
He is survived by his wife of fifty three years, Beatrice M. (Oxley); sons: William and wife, Kathryn of Douglassville, PA, and Eric S. and wife, Kimberly Anna of Millville, NJ; brother: Martin J. Evans, of Woodland Hills, CA; grandchildren: Cherie (Ronald) Yergey, Tina (James) Arsenault, Katelyn Nicole and Joshua David Eisenberg; great grandchildren: James and Kira Yergey and Ryan Arsenault; and step-grandchildren: Mary and Jason Kozak.

Edith C. El, 92, of Cape May Court House, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at Court House Convalescent Center, Cape May Court House. She was born in Clarkton, NC and moved here in 1962 from Philadelphia, PA. She was Moorish American (Moslem).
Mrs. El is survived by her husband, Carl C. El; her cousin, Harold Freeman of Glen Mills, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Eldon, Jr., James B.
James B. Eldon Jr., 89 of Cape May Court House, passed away September 24, 2006 in his home, surrounded by his family.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on November 16, 1916 he was the son of the late Edith and Dr. James Eldon, Sr. He had two brothers, Donald and David Eldon, both deceased.
Jim was the husband of the late Carolyn (Clauhs) Eldon. They were married
for 59 years.
Jim was employed in the commercial heating and electrical maintenance fields. He worked for Goodman Heating, Philadelphia, PA; Barth Corporation, Cleveland, Ohio and Andale, Inc., Lansdale, PA.
Jim always enjoyed going to his grandchildren's soccer and tennis matches. He was a friend to all, with always an encouraging word. He loved family gatherings, friends and food.
Survivors: Sons, James Eldon of Barto, PA and Robert Eldon of Cape May Courthouse; daughters-in-law Linda Eldon and Lynn Smith-Eldon; three grandchildren Nate, Aubrey and Amy.
Services: Memorial service for family and friends.
