Cryder, Thelma S.
Thelma S. Cryder, age 104, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died peacefully Tuesday, November 24, 2009.
She was born and raised in Fairton, NJ, the daughter of the late Beach and Mabel Wallace Smith. She married
her first husband, Ralph B. Johnson of Deerfield, NJ in 1924 and moved to Cape May Court House in 1926.
Together, they owned and operated the Johnson Funeral Home, now the Radzieta Funeral Home until her husband's sudden death in 1940. She operated the funeral home herself until 1944 when she sold the business and married
Dr. Millard Cryder.
Mrs. Cryder was involved in many civic and church activities through the years; but her favorites were the Burdette Tomlin Hospital Medical Auxiliary (now Cape Regional Medical Center); the Cape May County Historical Museum and the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House where she was ever a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was predeceased by her two husbands, Ralph B. Johnson, Sr., in 1940 and Dr. Millard Cryder in 1977 and her son, Ralph B. Johnson, Jr. in 1983.
She is survived by her grandson, Ralph B. Johnson, III and his wife, Cathy of Cape May Court House, NJ ; a
granddaughter, Virginia J. Hoffman, and her husband, Richard of Plantation, FL; a sister, Betty Lewis and her husband, Arthur of Fairton, NJ; five grandchildren: Matthew Hoffman; Laura, Anne, Ralph B., III and William Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009, at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church, N. Main and Church Streets, Cape May Court House, NJ where friends may visit 9 am to 11 am. Interment will follow in the Methodist cemetery, Goshen, NJ.

Cullum, Michael Barry
MICHAEL BARRY CULLUM, 65 - of Cape May Court House, passed away on Monday July 14, 2008. Mr. Cullum was born in Bridgeton, NJ, son of the late Michael Leonard Cullum & Verna Elizabeth Derrick Cullum.
Mr. Cullum was a Chief Warrant Officer Two in Vietnam where he served as a helicopter pilot. He was awarded The Air Medal, The Purple Heart, and The Bronze Star Medal; in addition to a Distinguished Service Medal from the State of New Jersey for distinguished meritorious service in air combat. He worked for Allegheny Commuter as a pilot and Chief Pilot at Cape May County Airport. Recently, he served as Instructor in the Federal Air Marshall Program. His hobbies included golf where he was a member of the White Oaks Country Club. He particularly enjoyed cooking at family gatherings.
He is survived by his loving wife Coni Lewandowski, many family members and friends.
Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 19 at Our Lady of the Angels R.C. Church, East Mechanic Street & Garden State Parkway, Cape May Court House. Burial will follow at Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Joan Elizabeth Cunningham, 58, of Williamstown passed away Thursday after a long illness at the Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Washington Twp.
Born in Greenville, PA, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL she had been a resident of Williamstown for the past 15 years. She was an employee of the Monroe Twp. School District for 13 years.
Beloved wife of the late Ralph Sr. Devoted mother of Ralph (Tina) of Bellmawr and Kathy (Michael) Keller of Williamstown. Dear sister of Richard of Mullica Hill and Randy Hoagland of Mt. Laurel and Irma Iovanisci of Williamstown. Loving grandmother of Michael and Samuel Keller and Dylan Cunningham.

Lt. Col. JOSEPH P. CURAU SR., (Ret. US Army) of Medford Lakes, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9th, 2008 at the Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Center in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was 68 yrs. of age. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he is the son of the late Marcel & Marie Curau and resided in Medford Lakes for the past 30 yrs. A ret. Lt. Col. with the US Army he served his country from 1963 to 1987 including 2 tours in Vietnam. After his retirement he worked for the Telos Corp. in Fort Monmouth, NJ.. He is a graduate of Xavier H.S. in NYC, NY and went on to receive his Bachelor's degree from St. Peter's College in Jersey City, NJ and his Master's from Boston University. He is a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Church and the American Legion. He is the Beloved Husband of Maureen E. (Nee Connelly) Curau of Medford Lakes, NJ and the Loving Father of Joseph P. Curau Jr and his wife June of Branchburg, NJ, Lauren E. Michaels and her husband Greg of Medford, NJ and Kevin M. Curau and his wife Christi of Brigantine, NJ. Vicky Sue Cushman, 37, of Glendora, died on Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Camden. She was born in Cape May Court House. She was an assistant manager for Walden Books. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Howden, NJ, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and served as an Eucharistic Minister. She attended William Paterson College of Paterson, NJ.
She is survived by her mother, Susan Hill Cushman Carbone of Glendora, NJ; her father, Arthur W. Cushman of North Cape May; two sisters, Amy L. Cushman and Lisa A. Carbone, both of Glendora; her brother, Arthur W. Cushman, II of Lake Placid, FL; her niece, Annestasia L. Cushman; and her nephew, Austin W. Cushman.

Rellie Cutshall, 82, of Eldora, NJ, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2003, in the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Marshall, NC, she has lived in Cape May Court House for the last two years coming from Eldora. She has spent most of her life actively farming.
She is survived by her son: Frank Cutshall of SC; two daughters: Dorothy Mayshura of Woodbine and Betty Lou McCurry of Cape May Court House; brother: Fate Rigsby of Tallahasse, FL; sisters: Velma Powell of Ashville, NC and Nellie Rogers of Yuba City, CA; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

Cwik, M.D., John Charles
Cwik, M.D., John Charles, 82, of Stone Harbor, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Born in Somerset County, PA to the late Anthony H. and Mary Catherine (Przywara) Cwik, he has summered here since 1962 and moved here permanently in 1984 from Johnstown, PA. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, serving as an Ensign from 1943-1946, was active in the Boy Scouts of America as a member of the Executive Board of the Former Admiral Robert E. Peary Council, and was a member of St. Paul's R.C. Church, where he was an usher. His hobbies included golf; he was a member of Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, PA, Wildwood Golf and Country Club and Stone Harbor Golf Club.
Dr. Cwik attended Pennsylvania State College; was graduated from University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta, and from Jefferson Medical College, where he was a member of and served as president of Theta Kappa Psi Medical Fraternity. He spent his entire professional career at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, and retired in 1984 as Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology and Director of the Anesthesia Residency Program. He was also a Clinical Professor of Anesthesia at West Virginia University and Temple University School of Medicine. He has been President of the Cambria County Medical Society, President of the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital Staff, President of the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiologists and for many years a member of the Board of Managers of the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital. Along with his partner Peere C. Lund, he pioneered much of the early research on local anesthetic drugs and techniques and authored multiple papers on Regional Anesthesia.
Dr. Cwik is survived by his wife, Marie "Terrie" Cwik; his children, Timothy J. Cwik of Stone Harbor, NJ, Lisa C. Mattiace and her husband, Peter of Denver, CO, and Jason C. Cwik, M.D. and his wife, Heather of Moorestown, NJ; his three grandchildren, Lauren, Morgan, and John Cwik; his sisters, Amelia Kaplan of Windber, PA, and Benice Coder of Waynesburg, PA; and his sister in law, Anne Cwik of Windber, PA.
Memorial Mass will be said on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 9910 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. Prior to retiring in 1984, Mr. Czyzykwas employed by H & H Industries in Pennsauken for over 30 years. He was a US army Veteran of World War II where he served in the 11th Armored Division and was wounded in action.
