Bozman, Donella M.
Bozman, Donella M. (nee Printz), 62, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at Cape Regional Medical Center. She was born in Miami, FL on October 12, 1944, the daughter of Ella A. Whitten Printz and John Donald Printz. A 1962 graduate of Miami Jackson High School, she worked at Southern Bell Telephone from 1962 to 1968. She was married
to Ronald W. Bozman from 1968 to 1989.
She was employed at Bell Telephone, Lansdowne, PA in 1968, Scott Paper in Essington, PA as a PBX Operator from 1968 to 1970, Towntalk Newspaper in Media, PA, and Sacred Heart Hospital in Chester, PA from 1984 to 1988 as an emergency room clerk. She had other various part time jobs while raising her three children. Her most rewarding and gratifying jobs were working at Lifepath in Media, PA with special needs adults and belonging to a volunteer ambulance squad, helping strangers and their families in their time of need.
A resident of Boothwyn, PA from 1968 to 2000, she belonged to the Ogden Fire Company as a volunteer EMT and fireperson, and as a volunteer emergency medical technician on the ambulance squad. She belonged to the American Red Cross, where she taught advanced first aid and CPR for 16 years. She was also on the Critical Incident Stress Team of Delaware County, the Upper Chichester Fire Police, the Youth Aid Panel in Boothwyn, and a hospice volunteer for Compassionate Care in Media, PA.
She moved to Cape May Court House, NJ in September 2000 and worked at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital in PCU as a nurse aide and monitor tech.
The biggest events and highlights of her life were the birth of her three children - Kathy, Karyn, and Alanna; and the best of all was the birth of her grandchild, Hunter. The love, care, special gifts, and financial help they gave to her made her so happy and proud to be their mother and Hunter's grandmom. She is survived by her companion of 11 years, George Paylor.
Over her years of working in hospitals, being an EMT with a volunteer ambulance company, and working with special needs children and adults, she saw a lot of loneliness and feelings of not being loved or wanted. Do something special for someone: an I Love You or a hug. Take care of each other and keep in mind, this could be you one day - love, respect, and care for others.
Help take care of your neighbors, friends, relatives, and strangers. A good exercise for the heart is to bend down and help another up. Remember - it is not who is right or who is wrong - it is what is right. Don't be quick to pass judgement on people.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in remembrance of Donella to the National MS Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163 or to Cure Autism Now, 5455 Wilshire Blvd. #2250, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
If you are alive, then your mission on earth is not finished. Make your mark on this earth so someone will know you passed through.
