Helen M. Beckwith, 97, of Mayville sectioin of Middle Township died on Monday at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Greenbackville, VA, she has lived here since 1965 coming from Rio Grande, NJ and Wildwood, NJ. She was a Title Five Service Provider and retired from the State of New Jersey after being recognized as the Oldest Working Employee, retiring in October, 2004. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wildwood, where she taught Sunday School and was past Deaconess. She was Proprietor of Beckwith Cleaners, Wildwood, NJ, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her sister, Elsie C. Foley of Okeechobee, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Friday 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Wildwood, 230 E. Maple Av., Wildwood, NJ, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment will be in the Baptist cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. Memorials may be made to the church.

Sylvia M. Beebe, (Nee Colon), went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2002 at her home in Voorhees, NJ. She was 55 yrs. of age. Born in Bronx, NY she has resided in Voorhees, NJ for the past 3 years moving there from Bellmawr, NJ. A Secretary for L3 Communications in Camden, NJ she has worked there for 22 years until Oct. 2000 when she went out on disability. She is a member of Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, NJ. She is the beloved wife of Robert W. Beebe Jr. of Voorhees, NJ and the loving mother of Robert W. Beebe III of Stewartsville, NJ, Sylvia C. Vettese of Barrington, NJ and Stephanie L. She is also survived by her parents Raymond & Dolly Colon of Camden, NJ, her brothers James of N.C., John of MA, Moses of Lancaster, PA and Joseph of Camden, NJ and her sister Helen Ciasullo of Cinnaminson, NJ and her 5 Grandchildren Lee, Alex, Kati and Elijah Beebe and Vinnie Vettese. Grace M. Beebe, 95, of Swainton, NJ, died on Friday, January, 30, 2004 at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Edgar and Laura Ewing Musselman. She was a graduate nurse Womens Medical College in Philadelphia, PA and where she had worked in addition to Womens Hospital; Tampa General Hospital; Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital and Lutheran Home in Ocean View. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Ocean View and a member of the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary having volunteered over 2500 hours.
She is survived by her daughter: Majorie and husband, Rocco Morano of Ocean View, granddaughter: Roxanne and husband Mars Anagnou; great grandchildren: Morgan, Madalyn and Nickolas Anagnou; step grandchildren: Jack and wife, Jeanine Walls and Joseph and wife, Wendy Walls and step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. in 1970.

Cecilia "Lorraine" Mc Nulty Begley age 79 of West End, Long Branch died Friday, April 9, 2004 at home. Cecilia died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. She spent the last 20 years traveling the world, appreciating the arts, and adoring her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by faithful friends and beloved family. She graduated Hickory High School, Hickory, VA and received a degree in criminal justice at the age of 54 from Monmouth University, West Long Branch. She is predeceased by her husband Richard V. Begley and a son Richard T. Begley. Born in Newark, she had lived in West End for the past 35 years.
Surviving are a son, Garry Begley, Asbury Park; 3 daughters and 2 sons in law, Theresa O'Mara, Esq. and John O'Mara, Esq., Upper Montclair; Janine and Inaam Elhelou, Manasquan; Michelle Begley, Los Angeles, CA; 2 brothers, Bernard Mc Nulty, Haddonfield; Thomas Mc Nulty, Jacksonville, Fla; 2 sisters, Theresa Hudgins, Virginia Beach, VA; Isabelle Koehler, North Wildwood; 4 grandchildren, John P. O'Mara, III, Brianne O'Mara, Anton Elhelou, and Gia Elhelou.

On September 28, 2007 of Cherry Hill, NJ formerly of Southampton and Marlton, NJ. Age 84. Beloved husband of the late Ethel (nee Finger). Loving father of Carolyn Bekes MD and Gregory and his wife Kathleen. Devoted grandfather of Jason, Matthew, and Melissa and great grandfather of Isaiah, Joshua, and Tirzah. Walter was an employee of RCA in Camden for thirty-five years, a founding member of the Prince of Peace Church in Marlton and a Kentucky Colonel Honorary. Anne D. Belber, 90, formerly of Atlantic City, NJ, died Monday, February 18, 2002, at the Court House Convalescent Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Anne was born and raised in manhattan, NY. After graduating from high school, she spent many years teaching and managing dance studios in New York. After marriage to the late E. Malcolm Belber of Philadelphia, PA and Woodbury, NY, she resided for many years in Atlantic City, NJ, Ocean City, NJ, and Haddonfield, NJ. Anne had a great love of life and all its wonders. She enjoyed being with her son and his late wife and her three grandchildren. Anne had an exceptional flair for dressing and fashion in general. She was interested and involved with better nutrition long before it became mainstream. During her life, she enjoyed astrology, dancing, going to the Broadway Theater and reading and collecting books.
Anne is survived by her son, Rovert P. Belber of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; three grandchildren: Davey Ann, Scott, and Laurie; and one great grandchild: Christopher.

Michael E. Bell, 49, of Woodbine, NJ, died on Monday, April 7, 2003. He was the son of the late John H. and Mildred Mulholland Bell, and was born in York, PA and lived here for thirty years. Michael enjoyed music and eating hoagies. His life was to eat, drink, and be merry.

Kathleen T. Bell, age 60, a summer reisdent of Stone Harbor, NJ, died on Saturday, October 6, 2007. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of the late John H. and Mildred Mulholland Bell.
She is survived by a brother, George C. Bell (Carole); two sisters: Mildred B. Kaliss (Edward) and Diane B. Giannola (Richard) and eight nieces and nephews and nine grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: John A. and Michael C. Bell.

Bell, Adelaide J.
Adelaide J. Bell, 88, a former resident of Cape May County, died on Sunday, June 27, 2004 at the Laughlin Health Care Center in Greenville, TN. She was the daughter of the late John and May (Hinkle) Johnson. She was a retired secretary of the Cape May County Board of Health and was also secretary of the Union of the Board of Health. She was a pioneer of computer literacy education for seniors at the Health Care Center. She attended the Bethel Baptist Church of Greenville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a loving wife to her late husband, Albert, who died in 1997.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen (Frank) Lashley of St. James Community, TN, and Karen (Joe) DellaPenna of Afton, TN; a son, Joseph Helfer of Vineland; a brother, Keith Johnson of Berlin; several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces in Greencastle, PA and one special niece in Chester, PA. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Annamay Chestnut, three grandsons, and five siblings. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 5:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Interment is private.

Alex "Al" Bell, Jr., 62, of Cape May Court House, died peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at home after a two year battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. He was born in Summit to the late Alexander L. and Edith (Molitor) Bell, Sr. and moved here in 1985 from Cranford. He was a Coast Guard Veteran of the Vietnam War. He previously was the owner of La Grandes Lawn Mower and Landscaping in Westfield. After moving to this area, he was the owner/operator of Alex Bell Jr. Landscaping. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Cape May County Party and Charter Boat Association. His family and landscaping were the center of his life.
Al is survived by his wife of 20 years, Martie; his children, Doug Bell of Roselle Park, Alex Bell III and his wife, Jeaneen of Westfield, Sheri Bell-Richelo of Cranford, Meaghan Bell, Kaitlin Bell, and Khrystine Bell, all at home; his sister, Edith Bell-Brown of Vermont; his granddaughters, Cindy, Courtney, Brittany, Amber, Sarah, and Madison; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Beltz, Kathryn Babbish
Kathryn 'Katie' Babbish, Beltz, 89, of Villas, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 14, 2008. She was born January 28, 1919, in Pennsylvania to the late Frank & Mary Babbish. "Katie" grew up in Woodbine and was a resident of the Villas for over 60 years. In her younger years, she worked at the Kravitz and Franklin Clothing Factories in Woodbine and at the Dennisville Lake Campground where she spent many years with family and friends. Katie was loved by all that knew her and will be in our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, "Bud" Beltz of 57 years; her sisters: Anna Goodwin and Sophia Jargowsky; brothers: John (Yosh), Joseph and Frank Stanley (Chennel) Babbish.
Her surviving family that will miss her deeply is daughter, JoAnne Evans Foster and her husband, Edward of Cape May; beloved MeMom to Michelle, Mark, Kyle & Callie Stillwagon of North Cape May; George and Lisa; Gaorfal and Tyler, Nicholas, John and Michael of DE; John Joseph, Raquel and Gianna Evans of CA; sister, Alice Newbold and husband, Dudley of Avalon; brother, Richard and wife, Linda Babbish of Palm Harbor, FL; and sister-in-law, Betty Babbish of Williamstown, NJ. Beltz, Jr., Clarence "Bud" E.
Clarence E., "Bud" Beltz, 82, of the Villas, passed away peacefully at his home on November 19, 2003. Born on February 9, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a resident here since 1928. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a S. Sgt. in the 674th Parachute FA/BN, 11th Airborne Division, known as the "Angels" and later served in the National Guard.
"Bud" was a charter member of the Buddy Lewis VFW Post and the Mid Atlantic Chapter, 11th Airborne Division Association. A carpenter by trade, he worked with the Millman Builders for 25 years. The past 21 years, he was employed by the Nickels Family at the Midway Pier in Wildwood.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Kathryn "Katie" (Babbish) Beltz. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends: daughter, JoAnne Evans and her fiancé, Edward Foster of Cape May; grandchildren, Mark and Michelle Stillwagon of North Cape May; George and Lisa Gaorfal of Delaware, and John and Raquel Evans of California; great grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Geanna, and Callie; and our Pop-Pop's Rocky, Buster, and Petie.

Belz, Jr., Joseph J.
Joseph J. Belz, Jr., 60, of Rio Grande, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at his home. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph Belz, Sr. and Caroline (Walker) Belz-Shaw. He was employed by the Cape May County Road Department and as a bus driver for numerous companies. He, his brother, and his father owned Hungry Joe's in North Wildwood. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Belz was a member of the Thursday Night League of the Wildwood Bowling League. He enjoyed driving the bus to competitions for the Middle Township Middle School and High School Bands as well as the bus for the Cape Atlantic Piper Brigade.
Mr. Belz is survived by his wife Diane Belz; his son Brian Belz; his daughter Paula (Belz) Tartal and husband Mike; his granddaughter Emma Tartal; his mother Caroline Belz-Shaw; and his brother Roger Belz and wife Pat. He was the favorite uncle to Pam and James Richter.

He was a supervisor of research in pathology at the Veterans Hospital in East Orange for 30 years, retiring in 1972. He served his country honorably in the US Navy during World War II form 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the V.F.W., Post 2140, Long Branch. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Oceanport for 40 years before moving to Monmouth Beach in 2002. Surviving is his wife, Concetta Valentino Benante and his son, Carl Benante of Monmouth Beach.

Concetta Valentino Benante age 84 of Monmouth Beach died Sunday, November 9 at home. A 1939 graduated of New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She was a dietician at different schools on Staten Island, she was the Director of Food Services for the East Brunswick Board of Education, and then taught home economic at Henry Hudson Regional High School. Born in Brooklyn, she had lived in New York City until 1962, then Oceanport for 40 years before moving to Monmouth Beach last year.
She was a beloved, caring wife and mother, a wonderful aunt to all of her nieces and nephews, and a true friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and was a gourmet cook. Spending time with her many relatives and friends during the holidays, brought her endless comfort and joy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Carmine Benante who died on October 29, 2003. She is survived by her loving son, Carl Benante of Monmouth Beach and several nieces and nephews.

JUNE HAMMILL BENDE, of Leisuretowne, Southampton, NJ, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2009. She was 80 years of age. Born in Gloucester, NJ, she is the daughter of the late William and Sarah Hammill. She is the Beloved wife of 63 years of Robert H. Bende and the loving mother of four children, Alison Brick and her husband Matt Noble of Tabernacle, NJ, Gail Young and her husband David of Southampton, NJ, Dr. Robert H. Bende and his wife Phyllis of Tabernacle, NJ and Rebecca Stout and her husband Scott of Hixson, Tennessee. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and her sister Irene Steelman of Asbury Park, NJ. June was a child prodigy who was published in "Ripley's Believe it or Not" as a bowling star at 9 yrs. old from Ocean City, NJ. The headlines read, "Wonder Girl at 9, June bowled a 202 after six weeks of playing. Now at 13, she is a star at bowling, golf, swimming, horseback riding, baseball, basketball, piano, tap dancing, ice skating and roller skating. After 5 months of roller skate dancing, she won an ovation from a congress of 1500 experts in Trenton, NJ." June was auditioned by Paramount Pictures as a stand in for Shirley Temple. As an adult, June's life was dedicated to raising her children and being the backbone of a secure home. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt.
