Jerry Wayne Kearney passed away at his home in Mount Arlington, NJ on January 26, 2010.
He was 61 years old.
Born in Wilmington, DE, he had spent most of his life in Denville, NJ before moving to Mt. Arlington in 2008.
Jerry served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He had worked as a manager for Honeywell in Morristown, NJ for 41 years.
Jerry loved to travel and cruise, he was a Boy Scout Master for Troop 390 in Denville for 10 years as well as the business administrator for the Denville Methodist Church for 10 years.
He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Kearney in 1990, and his sister in-law Patricia Kearney in 2009.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Georgia (Miller) Kearney of Mt. Arlington, NJ, and his loving children Jerry (& Nicole) Kearney of Beachwood, NJ, and Christine (& David) Casey and his Grandson Nathan Casey of Otsego, MN. His brother Warren Kearney of Ft. Myers, FL also survives him.

John "Jack" J. O'Dell Jr. 68, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday Feb. 2, 2010 at his home in Denville.
Jack was born in Newark, grew up in Wharton, and was a resident of Denville since in 1968.
He graduated from Morris Hills H.S. in Rockaway and went on to graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BS in Chemistry. He later attended Seton Hall University where he had been working on a Masters in Chemistry.
He was an Environmental Scientist with the Federal E. P. A. in New York City where has been working since 1990.
He was a long time member of the Church of the Saviour Episcopal Church in Denville and had served as choir director for both the senior choir as well as the children's choir in the 1970's.
While his sons were young he helped coach Denville Little League as well PAL Hockey, and he was a scout leader.
He was predeceased by his grandson Jameson G. O'Dell.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Linda Calame, as well as his devoted sons and their wives John III and Sheila O'Dell of Denville and James and Shelly O'Dell of Rockaway Twp., and his two cherished grandchildren John J. O'Dell IV, and Erin Linda O'Dell. He is also survived by his close cousin Howard Odell and his family of Middletown, NJ.
Funeral services will be held on Sat. Feb. 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Please light a candle in his memory on our web site.

Terry Lee Sheffield (Winters) passed away on February 10, 2010, at St. Clare's hospital in Denville, NJ.
She was 62 years old.
Born in Buffalo, she grew up in Unionville, NY and had lived in Denville prior to moving to Rockaway, NJ 31 years ago.
Terry received her Bachelors degree from Suny College in Oswego, NY, and had been an educator for most of her life, she also was the Director of the Denville Community Church Nursery School for 11 years, and most recently was an Affiliate Service Manager for Realogy in Parsippany, NJ.
She is survived by her loving sons Bryan Sheffield of Los Angeles, CA, and Robert Sheffield of Washington DC, as well as her sisters Ruth Winters of Moscow, PA and Holly Wilbur of Unionville, NY.
Memorial visiting will take place on Saturday February 13, 2010 fro 3PM - 5PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834.
Ferdinand "Ferd" George Kaiser

Ferdinand G. "Ferd" Kaiser, of New Providence, NJ died on Wednesday Feb. 24, 2010 at King James Nursing Center in Chatham, NJ.
Ferd was born in Newark and grew up in Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany, and moved to New Providence, NJ forty years ago.
After graduating from Boonton High School he served with the 1100th security squadron as an Honor Guard with the Ceremonial Squad in Washington, DC. Later he served in Korea with the US Air Force. He attended George Washington University, and later American Academy of Mortuary Science in New York City.
He was a funeral director with Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home and served as manager of Smith & Smith Funeral Home in Springfield, NJ.
His memberships included the VFW Post #190 in New Providence, past member of the Kiwanis Club of Millburn / Springfield where he had served as Treasurer. He was also a member of the National Rifle Assoc.
Beloved husband and best friend of M. Diane Kaiser. Proud and loving father and grandfather of his daughter Kathleen J., her husband Brian Heinbaugh, their children Maggie and Miller of Greenville, SC and his son Brent C., his wife Lynn (Laudati) Kaiser and their children David, Michael, Patrick, and Christopher of Denville, NJ.
Dear brother of Erma L. and her husband Joseph Riccardi of Parsippany, NJ and Dr. Joan E. Kaiser and her husband Donald Hitt of Poughkeepsie, NY. Also survived by his sister in law Kathleen and her husband Dale Penwell of Chambersburg, PA and his brother in law Charles and his wife Carol (Santoro) Patrick of Whippany, NJ.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Joseph Palumbo, 68, born in Newark son to Joseph Palumbo and Mary Byron whom have both been pre-deceased. He grew up in Pine Brook, and then became a resident of Denville where he resided until his retirement in 2003, where he then moved to his estate in Pennsylvania. He was a loving father and wonderful husband. He touched the lives of many.
He is survived by 6 daughters and 3 sons, Gina, Tina, Michelle, Tara, Nicole, Danielle, Joey, Patrick, and Tony. Also survived by four grand children, Briana, Brent, Joey Jr., and Angelo; 3 brothers. He's also survived by his loving wife of 34 years Patricia Anne Palumbo.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 2nd, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Norman Dean Funeral Home 16 Righter Ave, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com. The Funeral services will begin at 10 am March 3rd.

Mary B. Murray passed away on February 9, 2010. Born on April 3, 1926 to George F. and Freda C. (Nee Loeffel) Donovan.
She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Donovan.
She is survived by her children Mary C. "Kathy" Allen of Massapequa, NY and William P. "Bill" Murray of Denville, and her beloved grandchildren, Kathleen Allen, Christopher Allen and wife Ester, Joseph Allen and wife Lisa, and her great grandchildren Matthew, Ryan, Brooklyn, and Jake.
Living most of her life in New York and retiring after 33 years with NY Telephone, Mary moved to Denville in 1994. She participated actively at Franciscan Oaks as contributor to and editor of the newsletter worked the marketplace and sang in the chorus. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and St. Clare's Auxiliary to which memorial donations are appreciated.
Mrs. Murray's Funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ, www.normandean.com, (please light a candle in memory of Mary on web site), on Monday February 15th at 9am for a 10am Mass of Christian burial service at St. Mary's Church, Denville, NJ. Interment committal services on Tuesday February 16 at 11am at Evergreen cemetery , Brooklyn, NY. Relatives and friends will be received on Sunday February 14th at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
