Anthony G. “Tony G” Pipitone
Rosenhayn Resident
Anthony G. “Tony G” Pipitone, 90, of Rosenhayn died Saturday afternoon June 28, 2003 at S.J. Hospital – Bridgeton following a brief illness.
A resident of Rosenhayn for most of his life, Mr. Pipitone was born in Sicily and was the son of the late Giuseppe and Felicia Pizzo Pipitone. He moved to the United States when he was twelve.
Mr. Pipitone was the husband of the late Mary Costantino Pipitone, who died in 1983.
Known in Rosenhayn as “Tony G” or “Uncle Tony,” he was a self employed vegetable farmer who also grew strawberries. He retired twenty years ago.
He was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Rosenhayn and in his younger years had been an avid hunter.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph A. Pipitone and his wife Tina and Vincent A. Pipitone all of Rosenhayn, two daughters, Margaret M. Weber and her husband Bruce and Felicia Napier and her husband Kevin also all of Rosenhayn, eight grandchildren, Anne Thomas, Lynne Moore, Kelly, Erin and Kyle Napier and Patrick, Mary and Anthony Pipitone and two great granddaughters, Ashley Myers and Gianna Pipitone. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Carmella Brusca, Theresa Pipitone and Mary Pizzo and three brothers, Natale, Joseph and John Pipitone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Morton Avenue, Rosenhayn on Wednesday July 2nd at 10 A.M.
The interment will be made at St. Mary’s cemetery in Rosenhayn.
Friends will be received at St. Mary’s Church Wednesday morning one hour prior to the Funeral Liturgy.

Thomas J. Clark
World War II Veteran
Thomas J. Clark, 77, of Bridgeton died Saturday afternoon June 28, 2003 at S.J. Hospital – Bridgeton where he had been a patient for the last week.
The husband of Helen (nee Sparks) Clark, he was born in Bridgeton and was the son of the late Edwin P. “Bill” Clark and the late Mary Coulter Clark. A lifetime Bridgeton resident, he attended Bridgeton High School and lived at his current address for forty-four years.
Mr. Clark worked as a moldmaker in the mold shop at Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton. He worked at Owens for a total of thirty-four years, retiring when the plant closed in 1984.
He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Clark received gunnery training and served in the Eighth Air Force as part of B-17 Bomber Squadron.
An active member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, he was a choir member, a former member of the church’s administrative board and a member of the Men’s Federation. He was also active with Wesley’s team in the Church Bowling League. In addition, Mr. Clark was a member of Shoemaker Post #95, American Leagion in Bridgeton and several years ago had been a Little League umpire. He loved air shows and model airplanes and model trains were his hobbies. He was constantly active in the lives of his children and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of fifty-six years, he is survived by three daughters, Kathryn C. Mead and her husband John, Claire C. Biggs and her husband Gamon and Emily C. Rottkamp and her husband Michael all of Bridgeton, two sons, Harry J. Clark and Paul R. Clark and his wife Linda both of Bridgeton, an adopted daughter, Eileen Getsinger and her husband Roger of Bridgeton, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and twelve nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Alice Walker.
Funeral services will be held Saturday July 5th at 12 Noon at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 424 N. Pearl St., Bridgeton.
The church’s pastor, Rev. Kevin Davis will officiate and he will be assisted by the church’s former pastor, Rev. Wilbert Frazer.
The interment will be made at the Cumberland County Veteran’s cemetery in Hopewell Township.
Friends will be received at Wesley Methodist Church on Saturday morning from 10:30 until 12 Noon.
Memorial contributions in Mr. Clark’s memory may be made to the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund, 424 N. Pearl St., Bridgeton, N.J. 08302.

Helen Reba Lodge
Sunday School Teacher
Helen Reba Lodge (nee Pennington), 82, of Bridgeton died Tuesday evening July 1, 2003 at S.J. Hospital – Elmer in Elmer. She had been hospitalized for the last ten weeks.
Mrs. Lodge was born in Greenwich, N.J. April 29, 1921 to Thomas and Minnie McAllister Pennington. She was married
to Harry Lodge on July 26, 1940. She lived in Roadstown for several years and later in Bridgeton. She had resided at her current address since 1958.
A Sunday school teacher for many years, Mrs. Lodge taught at different times at Berean Baptist, Greenwich Baptist and the Cohansey Baptist Church. While a member of Berean she served as a deaconess and Berean Youth Fellowship advisor and was also a member of the Be Joyful class.
For several years she had been a volunteer at Bridgeton Hospital.
In addition to caring for her home and taking pride in its appearance, she was a good cook and was known for her special spaghetti sauce. She also enjoyed growing gardenias.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Gwen Hitchner and her husband Phillip M. Hitchner of Hopewell Township and two grandchildren, Kristy Lynn Hitchner and Dustin Hitchner. She was predeceased by a brother, John Pennington.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon July 5th at 2 o’clock at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton.
Pastor R. Bruce Johnson and a nephew, Pastor Neil J. Lodge will share in officiating at the services.
The interment will take place at Overlook cemetery in Bridgeton.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday afternoon one hour prior to the services.
Renee Marie Dissin
Devoted Mother and Homemaker
Renee Marie Dissin (nee Falcone), 44, of Glenside, PA and formerly of Pittsgrove and Bridgeton died Thursday June 26, 2003 at her home following a period of declining health.
The husband of Dr. Jonathan Dissin, she was born and raised in Bridgeton and was a member of the class of 1977 at Bridgeton High School. She was the daughter of Dorothy C. Falcone of Bridgeton and the late Ronald E. Falcone Sr.
Renee spent the majority of her adult life as a homemaker and a resident of Pittsgrove.
She enjoyed spending summers at the “Jersey Shore” with her family.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by three daughters from her marriage to Lee Garrison, Megan, Lauren, and Lindsey Garrison all of Pittsgrove and two brothers, Ronald E. Falcone Jr. of Trenton and Jeffrey C. Falcone and his wife Cindy of Lutz, FL.
Private services were held June 30th in Philadelphia and a public Memorial Mass will be celebrated in honor of Renee’s life at the St. Teresa of Avila R.C. Church, 46 Central Avenue, Bridgeton on Tuesday July 15th at 10 A.M.
The interment will take place following the Memorial Mass at Overlook cemetery in Bridgeton.

Carl O. Orange
Former Bridgeton Resident
Carl O. Orange, 65, of Bedford, VA died Wednesday June 18, 2003 at his residence.
He was born January 4, 1938 in Bedford County and was the son of Eula Mae Carter Orange of Shiloh and the late Ollie Randolph Orange. He formerly resided in the Bridgeton area.
Mr. Orange was a retired employee of Witt Wholesale and was a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge #1897 and the Deerfield Township Elks Lodge #733.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jackie Nelson Orange, three sons, Carol O. Orange Jr. of Massachusetts, Skip Farley of Fayetteville, NC and Mary Farley of Woodsboro, MD, two daughters, Kelly Archer of Bridgeton and Beth Smith of Frederick, MD, eleven grandchildren and two brothers, Paul Orange and Wallace Orange both of Bedford. He was predeceased by a sister, Janice Simmons in 1999.
Funeral services were held Saturday June 21st at the Updike Funeral Chapel in Bedford with the Rev. John Bright officiating.
The interment was made at the Greenwood cemetery in Bedford.
