Silva, Adelino R.
Adelino R. Silva age 64, of Long Branch died Sunday, December 28, 2003 at home. He was a mason at Pax Construction, Long Branch and a self employed landscaper. He was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch and a member of the Portuguese Club. The greatest joys in his life were family and his love for gardening. He was also an avid soccer fan. Born in Lapa Furada, Batalha, Portugal, he lived in Long Branch since 1974. He was predeceased by his first wife, Adelina Silva in 1987. Surviving is his wife, Leonor Moco Silva; two daughters, Luci Pereira of West Long Branch and Marisa Silva of Long Branch; two sisters, Maria Alexandere and Adelina Silva both of Portugal and 3 grandchildern, Andrew, Michael and Jianna Pereira.
Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin Aves, Long Branch on Wednesday from 2-4 pm. Interment will be in Sao Mamede cemetery, Sao Mamede Portugal. Simpkins, Enid Smith
Enid Smith Simpkins, 88, of South Seaville, died on Sunday, November 18, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Ocean View, NJ. She was born in South Seaville and was a lifetime resident here. She was an active member of the South Seaville United Methodist Church and the South Seaville Grange. She was retired from the Cape May County Welfare Board having worked there for twenty five years from 1946 to 1971. She was also a member of the Arbutus Chapter of the Eastern Star. The Church was always the center of her life. She was happy just to be at home in South Seaville; she would visit relatives in Florida, but was always happy to be "back home". She was married
in 1941 to Kenneth Simpkins who preceded her in death January 31, 1989.
She is survived by three nephews: Kenneth and his wife, Lois Konschak of Bridgeton; Robert and James Konschak of Millville and a cousin, Betty Lanzi of Vineland and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at 11 am at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ where relatives and friends may call after 10 am. Interment will be in Calvary Baptist cemetery, Ocean View. Memorials may be made to the South Seaville United Methodist Church in her name.

JOHN G. SIMPSON, passed away on Wednesday, January 28th, 2004 at his home in Medford, NJ. He was 86 yrs. of age. Born in Darby, PA, he is the son of the late Joseph and Jennie Simpson and has lived in Medford for the past 15 yrs. moving there from Darby, PA. A retired Sheet Metal Worker for Phila. Electric Co. he worked for the company for 37 yrs. until his retirement in 1979. He is a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII. He is the husband of the late Gertie M. (Nee Ward) Simpson and the loving Father of Nancy M. Dobrowolski and her husband Edward of Medford, NJ. He is also survived by his Granddaughters Jennifer L. Frederick Wilson Simpson age 48 of Long Branch died on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Monmouth Care Center, Long Branch. Born in Montclair, he lived in Middletown before moving to Long Branch 3 years ago. He was a machinist in the paper mill industry. He is predeceased by his parents Kenneth F. and Betty Jane Miller Simpson and a brother, Kenneth Simpson. Surviving him is a sister and brother in law, Margaret and John D'Altilio of Middletown, two nieces, Christine and Ashley D'Altilio; two nephews, John and William D'Altilio and two aunts, Audrey Simpson of Middletown and Dorothy Meisel of Denville.

Skedzielewski, Walter W., 92, of Ocean View, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Camden on December 28, 1910, he was an Army Veteran of World War II. Walt worked at the U.S. Post Office in Bellmawr for 31 years. He resided at the Lutheran Home in Ocean View for the last 14 years.
Walt is survived by his brother, Leon Skand; his nephew, David L. Skand, V.M.D.; and his niece, Linda Skand.

CLAIRE C. SKEENES (Nee Liebermann) passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5th, 2004 at her home in Lumberton, NJ. She was 67 yrs. of age. Born in Jersey City, NJ she has lived in the Lumberton & Mt. Holly area for many years and was a former member of the Ladies Auxillary of the VFW 2692 of Mt. Holly, NJ. Kostas "Gus" Smilios age 59, of Ocean Township died Saturday January 10, 2004 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was the owner of Star Brite Construction Company, in Asbury Park. He was a member of St George's Greek Orthodox Church, Asbury Park. Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, he came to the United States in 1970 and had lived in Asbury Park before coming to Ocean 28 years ago.
He is survived by wife Janet Rescigno Smilios, his children, Elias Smilios, Tinton Falls; Mia Smilios, West End; Gary Uyeyama, West Long Branch; Gregory Stackhouse, Oceanport; 3 brothers, Nikos, Christos and Giorgios all in Greece; 3 grandchildren; and 6 nieces and nephews.

Larry Charles Demarr Smith, 53, of Wildwood, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2004. He was born in Douglass, GA, and moved here 30 years ago. He is survived by his children: Lisa Maxey of Whitesboro, NJ, Michael Jones of Pleasantville, NJ, and Lawrence Schaffer of Vineland, NJ; father: Earlie Smith of Wildwood; mother: Lurine Smith of Douglas, GA; grandmother: Charley Hawkins; brothers and sisters: Jerry Hawkins, Morgan Smith, Glory Jean Smith, Ronald Smith, Ernest Wilson, Diane Wilson, Billy Ray Smith, Emmaline Wilson, Ethel Smith, Jonathan "Stumpy" Wilson, and Alicia Wilson; and thirteen grandchildren.

Smith, Cornelia J.
Cornelia J. Smith, 76, of Whitesboro, died on Monday, May 3, 2004. She was born in Oak City, NC and lived in Pleasantville prior to living in Cape May County. She was a member and organist of the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro. She also played the organ at churches in Swainton and Pleasantville. She was a retired teacher, having taught at Middle Township Schools. She was a graduate of Middle Township High School, and Morgan State College of Baltimore; attended University of Pennsylvania, West Chester Teachers College, and Glassboro (Rowan). She was a member of various teachers associations, including the Middle Township Education Association. She was also a member of the national sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, the Wee Women of Cape May County, and the Cape May County Branch of the Christian Women's Organization.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela J. Gooding and her husband, Lawrence of Atlantic City; four sisters, Mary Gripper, Margaret McRae, Miranda "Kitty" Walker, and Alice Roberson; four grandchildren, Davida Brown, John North, Natasha North and Angela North; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Main Street, Whitesboro, where friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment in Household of Ruth cemetery.
Smith, Clifford
Clifford Smith, 74, of Whitesboro, NJ, died on Saturday , February 14, 2004, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 23, 1939, to Deacon Collin and Viola Dwight Smith. He attended Whitesboro Grammar School, Middle Twp. Schools and later Atlantic County Vo-Tech. He was a cook and retired from the NJ Dept. of Transportation as a yard engineer. He was a member of the Hope Pentecostal Independent Church where he sang with the Saddler Special for many years.
He is survived by his former wife, Lois; his children: Ronald Hamer; Byron Landon and wife, Michelle and Chris Landon and wife, Christina; Maxine who he rasied and an adopted son: Scotty Mohummond; two brothers: William and wife, Ruth; Bennie and wife, Barbara; four sisters: Dorothy Jackson; Mamie Smith; Evelyn Bailey and Ruby Saddler and husband, Elder Mose Saddler, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Thresa Smith and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry and a sister, Annabelle Void.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2004, at Noon at the New Hope Pentecostal Independent Church, 460 Shunpike Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 8210. Interment is private in Mount Olive cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Church.
