Edward Taylor Lambes, Sr.

Edward T. Lambes, Sr., age 44, of Burlington died Monday, October 12 in Mt. Laurel. Born in Tecumseh, MI and raised in Ohio, Ed was an area resident since he was 17 years old.
Ed was a graduate of Pemberton High School and had been employed as a transportation supervisor with Trans Force, Inc. in Bellmawr, NJ. He was a loving and caring husband, father and friend. Ed liked to play his guitar, play poker, work on his computer and was a fan of the Phillies and Eagles.
Ed was predeceased by his father, Alfred Lambes, Sr. and a brother, Jeff Lambes. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joanne (nee Wickwire) Lambes; his five children, sons, Edward Lambes, Jr., Kevin Lambes, Anthony Lambes and Mason Lambes and daughter, Amber Lambes all of Burlington; his mother and step-father, Betty and Paul Jackson of Ohio; his mother-in-law, Kathleen Wickwire of Burlington; three brothers, Alfred Lambes, Jr., Ricky Lambes & wife Pat and Timothy Lambes & wife Sheryl all of Ohio; two sisters, Marcy Grecni & husband Steve and Glenna Gordon both of Ohio; several nieces and nephews and his best friend Rich “Tiny” Gregory of Mt. Laurel.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15 at 8: 00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with calling hours from 5: 00 to 8: 00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Saturday, October 17 at 11: 00 AM at the Jacobstown Baptist cemetery in Jacobstown.
Raymond R. Helsel

Raymond R. Helsel, age 85, of Cream Ridge died Monday, March 16 at Bartley Health Care in Jackson. Born in Morrisville, PA he was a resident if Cream Ridge for the past 17 years and formerly of Yardville, Jackson and Inverness, FL.
Ray was a retired Auditor/Administrator for the State on New Jersey in the Division of Motor Vehicles and the Office of the Attorney General. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. Ray was a graduate of Trenton High School Class of 1942 and a graduate of Rider University. He was a member of the Yardville Presbyterian Church, the VFW Post 6590 in Cookstown, the American Legion Post 455 in New Egypt, the Jensens Community Club in Cream Ridge and a former member of the New Egypt Chapter of Deborah.
Ray was predeceased by his parents, Raymond L. and Marie Helsel, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Helsel and a brother-in-law, Henry Szczepanski. He is survived by his wife, Irene (nee Szczepanski) Helsel; a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond L. and Cheryl Helsel of Bordentown; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Andrew Dudich of Yardville; two grandchildren, Andrew M. Dudich II and Jared R. Dudich both of Yardville; a brother, Robert Helsel of Surf City, NJ; a brother-in-law, Kazmierz Szczepanski and wife Amelda of Brunswick, ME; a sister-in-law, Mary Szczepanski of Hamilton Twp. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23 at 10: 30 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Rev. John Milne, officiating. Burial will follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Sunday evening March 22 from 6: 00 to 8: 00 PM at the funeral home with American Legion services at 7: 00 PM.

Pamela (MacDougal) Miller

Pamela (MacDougal) Miller, age 50, of New Egypt passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 15. Pam was born on October 11, 1958 in Trenton and was a lifetime New Egypt area resident.
Pam was a dedicated wife, stay-at-home mother, and a friend to each of her four girls. She extended that love to all who came through her door and always had time to listen to their troubles or share in their joys. Everyone who knew Pam will remember her hearty laugh and shining smile. She graduated from Allentown High School in 1976 and was the owner of Pamela’s Flowers on Main Street in the early 1980’s. Pam enjoyed vacationing with family in New Hampshire as often as possible.
Pam was predeceased by her father, John “Jack” MacDougal and her father-in-law, Bill “Pop” Miller. She is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, Bill Miller; her mother, Jan MacDougal and Charlie Horner of New Egypt; her four daughters and son-in-law, Janette and Bill Moore of Cream Ridge and Adriane, Olivia and Kayla Miller all of New Egypt. Pam also leaves behind a special family friend and “daughter”, Monica Donley of Shamong, NJ. Pam’s pride in life was her grandchildren – Thomas, Grace, Ethan and Stephen. She loved each of them dearly and was so proud of each of their accomplishments no matter how minor. Pam will be missed by her huge family – mother-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Burial will follow in the Jacobstown Baptist cemetery in Jacobstown. Muriel V. McGovern

Muriel V. McGovern, age 90, of Jackson died Saturday, March 14 at Bartley Health Care in Jackson. Born in New York City, she was a resident of Jackson.
Muriel was a retired secretary with Combustion Engineering in Connecticut.
Muriel is survived by two sons, Raymond Donohue and wife Joanne of North Hanover Twp. and John Donohue and wife Cindy of Orange County, CA; three grandchildren, Kim Andreoni and husband Carl of New Egypt and Robert and Joseph Donohue both of Orange County, CA and two great grandchildren, Lillian Andreoni and Bailey Donohue.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 20 at 10: 00 AM at Assumption cemetery , 76 Evergreen Road in New Egypt. There will be no calling hours.

Paul Lemesevski

Paul Lemesevski of Freehold died March 10, 2009 in Trenton. He was 54 years old.
Paul was born November 21, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA to Alexander and Patricia Lemesevski, the eldest son of eight children of a Navy family. Some of his fondest childhood memories were from his time in Hawaii where his father was stationed for ten years. After his father retired from the Navy, the family settled in Hornerstown, NJ. Paul graduated from Allentown High School in 1972 and upon graduation joined the Navy to serve his country during the Vietnam War. While in the Navy, Paul found his vocation – mechanics. He became a master mechanic and worked for over twenty-five years as a mechanic and later as Service Manager at a large auto dealership. Paul lived with his family in Freehold, was active in the Republican Party, enjoyed astronomy and collected semi-precious jewels. In particular he loved his daughters and enjoyed spending time with them.
For many years Paul lived with the debilitating disease that eventually took him from us. The disease is adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN). AMN is the adult onset of ALD, which was made known to the world in the 1992 film “Lorenzo’s Oil”.
Paul is preceded in death by his mother Patricia and brother Stephen. He is survived by his two daughters, Larisa Lee and Jillian Shea; his father, Alexander; his three sisters, Mary and her husband Mark, Ann and her husband Tom and Elizabeth and her partner Rose; his three brothers, Michael, Alexander II and his wife Terri and Joseph and his wife Jacqueline, and his nieces, Nicole, Kristen and Kaitlin. He will be fondly remembered by his friends in Freehold, NJ.
Calling hours for Paul will be held on Thursday, March 12th from 7: 00 to 9: 00 PM and again on Friday morning, March 13th from Noon to 1: 15 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1: 30 PM at the Church of the Assumption, 76 Evergreen Road in New Egypt, with Father Joseph Farrell, officiating. Burial will follow in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial cemetery in Arneytown.
Due to cemetery restrictions, in lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s honor and memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice or to United Leukodystrophy Foundation.
Elma B. Nelson

Elma B. Nelson, age 46, of Pemberton died Wednesday, March 4. Born in Mount Holly, she was a Pemberton resident for many years and formerly of North Hanover Township.
She had been employed as a crossing guard in Mt. Holly.
Elma was pre-deceased by Storia J. Brown, Jr., the father of her daughter Roseanna. She is survived by two daughters, Olga Nelson and Roseanna Nelson both of Browns Mills; a son, Michael Nelson of Eastampton; her mother, Sally Nutt of Burlington Twp; her father, Robert Nutt of Browns Mills; two brothers, Robert Nutt of Pemberton and Timothy Nutt of Wrightstown; her daughter Olga’s father, Alberto Ruiz of Pemberton; her son Michael’s father, Danny Nelson and three grandchildren, Rihanna Nelson, Larry Anderson and Christopher Anthony Palmer.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11 at 2: 00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Rev. Jere Doer-Hopkins, officiating. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 1: 00 to 2: 00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Doris Watson

Doris Watson, age 62, of Fort Belvoir, VA died Monday, March 2 at the INOVA Cancer Treatment Hospital in Alexandria, VA. She gave a life time of selfless service to our Nation, warm compassion to all that knew her, and over 27 years of inspiration to husband, family, extended family and all her friends.
Doris was a global citizen and served beside two husbands and a son that honorably and faithfully served the United States of America for over one half of a century. She served along side her husband and walked with him hand-in-hand to achieve huge success at Fort Dix, NJ; Presidio of San Francisco, CA; Kaiserslautern, Germany; Patrick Air Force Base, FL & Cape Canaveral, FL; Camp Zama, Japan; Heidelberg, Germany; Fort Campbell, KY and twice to the Washington, DC area at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Her steadfast service and commitment to our country for loyalty, dedication and faithful allegiance to the United States Army and our country for over 28 years had been personally recognized by the HON John Warner, former Chairman, Senate Armed Services Committee, Washington, DC. She was a strong supporter of the United Nations, international peace, world health, regional security and fought against poverty by always lending a helping hand to those in need or destitute. Her unique gift of creativity enabled her to bring beauty to all those around her with floral arrangements, knitting handicraft, interior décor or artistic advice to capture refinements in the natural world.
She will be forever remembered in our lives, hearts, minds and souls of all those that she encountered. She was truly our devout and divine “Guardian Angel” and “Always at my Side to Guard and Guide”. Survivors include: a husband, Kent T. Watson of Fort Belvoir, VA; her sons, Larry Simmons, Jr. of Highgate Center, VT and Robert L. Simmons of North Hanover Twp., NJ; her sister, Linda Beahn of Browns Mills, NJ and extended family.
Funeral and interment services will be held on Monday, March 9 at 2: 30 PM at the Chapel of the BGWCD Veterans Memorial cemetery , 350 Province Line Road in Wrightstown. Stephen C. LaChance, Jr.

Stephen C. LaChance, Jr., age 74, of New Egypt died Friday, February 27 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Lebanon, NH, he had been a resident of New Egypt since 1963.
Steve retired as a TSGT from the US Air Force in 1974 after 21 years of service. He also worked as a heating and air conditioning technician for Belasco Petroleum in Cookstown for 20 years. Steve was also an avid hunter and fisherman, but his real love was for the fire company.
Steve was a member of the New Egypt Volunteer Fire Co. for over 40 years. He served as Chief for many years and was awarded the prestigious title of Chief Emeritus for his leadership in the local fire service. He also served as the Fire Commission Chairman and was the liaison to the Plumsted Township Office of Emergency Management. He held membership in the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the National Fire Protection Association and the New Jersey State Fireman’s Association. Steve was also recognized by Plumsted Township for saving the life of a woman trapped inside a burning house in 1973 and he received the Firefighter of the Year Award in 1991. He also was a former member of the New Egypt First Aid Squad.
Steve is survived by his wife, Madeline “Maddie” LaChance; his children, Stephen C. LaChance III and wife Beth of Chandler, AZ, Susan LaChance and husband Rick Meredith of Cream Ridge and Michael S. LaChance and wife Michelle of New Egypt; two grandchildren, Shawn LaChance and Chelsea Crammer and his siblings, Leland Kimball, Carlene Guimond and Larry Kimball, all of New Hampshire and Brent Kimball of Massachusetts.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 10: 00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Burial with military honors will follow at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial cemetery in Arneytown. Calling hours will be on Monday evening, March 2 from 6: 00 to 9: 00 PM and again on Tuesday morning from 9: 00 to 10: 00 AM at the funeral home, with Fire Company services on Monday evening at 7: 00 PM.
