NUGENT, JAMES, 81 - of Townsend's Inlet, died on April 23, 2005. During World War II, Mr. Nugent served in the Navy. Mr. Nugent was a manager for 35 years for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company of Woodbury and an NHL Off Ice Official for 33 years for the Philadelphia Flyers. He is the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Ballistreri) and loving father of Bruce and his wife Elizabeth and Lee Nugent, dear grandfather of Ian, James, Timothy and Kyle. SPOTWOOD, RUTH ANN, (nee Graham) - of Atlantic City, departed this life on Thursday, April 28, 2005 in the AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus. She resided in Atlantic City for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Anderson; one brother, William Graham; two sisters, Thelma Jordan and Wilma Murphy; and a host of family and friends.
Services will be held 11AM Wednesday, May 4, 2005, in the Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Blvd., Atlantic City, where friends may call from 10AM. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park, Mays Landing.
CALIMER, SR., CHARLES P., 76 - of Galloway Township, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2005. Mr. Calimer was born in Philadelphia, raised in Egg Harbor City and has lived in Galloway since 1955. He served his country honorably during the Korean War as a member of the US Army. He was a Union carpenter and a member of Local #623. Mr. Calimer was a school crossing guard for the Galloway Township Police Dept. for ten years. He was also life member of Germania Volunteer Fire Co. for 25 years, a member of Knights of Columbus Council #3500 of Egg Harbor City, Galloway Township American Legion Post #430, past member of the Kickapoo Tribe/Redmen Association and was a volunteer for the Atlantic County 4-H. He was a member of Church of the Assumption in Pomona, where he served as an usher at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Mass since 1955 and also helped build on the additions and roof to the Church.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Sohn Calimer of Galloway; his children, Terri Ann Moncrief and her husband, Robert Sr. of Galloway; Charles P. Calimer, Jr. and his wife, Shirley of Galloway and Adele D. Calimer of Mercer County; his brother, Richard Calimer and his wife, Vida of Galloway; his sisters, Dolores Kohl and her husband, Rich of Mays Landing; and Betty Jane Sgarlatta and her husband, Sal of California; his brother-in-law, Fred Sohn of Galloway. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, eight grand-pups, nieces and nephews.
His viewing will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2005 and 8:30 am to 9:30 am Thursday, May 5, 2005 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609) 965-0357. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 5, 2005 at Church of the Assumption, Pomona. RADTKE, JR., ELMER G., "Al", 81 - of Cape May, died on April 30, 2005 at North Cape Center. Born in Detroit, MI, he lived in Huntingdon, PA, before moving here in 1984. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from the Pennsylvania State Dept. of Probation and Parole after 35 years of service. He was a member of the V.F.W. of Cape May and the Cape May Lutheran Church, and was an avid bowler and bird carver. Surviving are his wife, Betty J.; two children, Dianne E. Joyce of Harrisburg, PA and Barry A. of Ontario, Canada; two grandchildren and a brother, Stanley R. of NM. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am at the Cape May Lutheran Church, 509 Pittsburgh Ave., Cape May, where friends may call from 10-11 am. RAUSCHER, BETTY MAE (nee Warren), 79 - of Woodbury, on April 27, 2005. Betty worked at the Gloucester County Board of Social Services for over 25 years. During her free time, she enjoyed taking walks at National Park, shopping at the mall, spending time with her family, going to lunch once a month with the Retiree's of Gloucester County Board of Social Services. She was a kind, loving, and giving woman with a wonderful sense of humor. Betty will be remembered as a gentle soul & will be sadly missed by her loved ones.

STAUT, JOSEPH A., JR. 90 - of Northfield, passed away peacefully at home Friday April 22, 2005 surrounded by his loved ones. Born and raised in Atlantic City, Joe was educated in the public schools and had a successful career with Garden State Electric and Construction Company, retiring as vice president after 42 years of service. Mr. Staut played semi-pro football with Passyunk Square in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and he began his officiating career in 1940 when he joined the Atlantic City Chapter of New Jersey Football Officials. In 1950 he became a member of the Philadelphia Chapter Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football Officials where be officiated for 25 years. While actively involved in NCAA Football as an officer and an official, Joe also worked area high school games for the Atlantic Chapter of Football Officials and held various Board positions, including president. In 1995, he was named "Official of the Year" for S.J Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
Mr. Staut was also a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #351 for over 65 years as well as being a member of The Morris Guards, Atlantic City All Star Sports Association, the Bellvue Athletic Club and the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. Joe was predeceased by his beloved wife Helen (nee Smallwood) with whom he shared 65 wonderful years. He is survived by his devoted daughter Helen S. Havlick and her husband Frank of Northfield; his loving granddaughters Susan Bevans and her husband Karl of Mt. Holly and Karen Badiacco and her husband Joseph of Rosedale as well as his cherished great grandchildren Miranda Jo, Marissa and Joseph Badiacco and Kristin Bevans. Also surviving are his sister Alma Glenn of CA; his brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Esther Smallwood of Longport and Frank and Jeri Smallwood of Arizona as well as many nieces and nephews. Additionally, Joe was blessed to be survived by his devoted lifelong friends John Giemza and Ted Daly and his wonderful caregiver Gary Hearn.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration Tuesday from 11:00 to 1:00 at Jeffries and Keates funeral Home, Tilton Road and Infield Ave., Northfield. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is private. KERR, DONALD R., SR. "Duck" - of Egg Harbor Township, fondly known as "Duck", departed and went home to the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2005. Born on July 2, 1930 in the town of Pottstem, NY to the beloved parents of the late William and Mildred Kerr.
He leaves behind his loving wife Connie (Kind-Kerr) and his beloved dog Buttons. Father of six, step-father of one, and several grandchildren. Sisters, Florence Core and family in FL, Ruth Kerr and family of Mays Landing, brother, James Kerr and family in TX.
He served his country in the Army National Guard, 157th Field Artillery Division, a member of Solid Rock United Pentecostal Church of Egg Harbor Township. He resided for over 50 years in the Laureldale section of Mays Landing and helped organize the first Laureldale Fire Department. For a number of years he delivered the Bulletin News Paper throughout the Township of Hamilton. He worked for the Atlantic County Court system as a Judge attendance. He also worked for the Hamilton Township Road Department. After his retirement he was the smiling face at the Mays Landing Wal Mart's door.
Donald was an avid bowler with a 300 game and a winner of many trophies. He bowled for the Royal Pine Bowling League of Egg Harbor Township. He enjoyed camping and was a member of (NCHA) National Campers and Hiker's Association. He was a co-founder of South Jersey Bushwacker's Club. He was also a member of the Egg Harbor Township Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary.
He leaves behind a very special person, Chrissy and some very special friends, Ralph and Sandy Transue, Michael and Kathy Leonowski, Maggie Joyce and Phyllis Evans.
Services will be offered by Pastor Don Hanscom at the Solid Rock United Pentecostal Church, Ocean Heights Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, on Wednesday April 27, 2005 at 12 p.m. A viewing at Church will be 10 a.m. until time of Service. Interment will follow at the Egg Harbor City cemetery. ALSTON, SUELYNN TONI - infant daughter of Antonio and Michelle (Morrison) Alston, of Cape May Court House, died on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Georgette, Haley, and Alema; her grandparents, Virginia Morrison of Dennisville, Pauline Dixon of Cape May Court House, and Millard Jordan of Wildwood; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joshua Morrison on January 11, 2001. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Seaside cemetery, Palermo.
NEVINS, MARY, 96 - of Ridgefield, CT, passed away on April 25, 2005. For many years she was very active in the school system both as a teacher and a resident. She was also very involved in the local Woodbine Brotherhood Synagogue and her family, the Siegel's, were founding members of the temple. When she retired, she moved to Ridgefield, CT where she became very active in many senior citizens organizations. She is survived by her sons, Bruce Nevins, Richard Nevins, and Ron (Marcy) Nevins. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend synagogue services, Wednesday 12 Noon at the Woodbine Brotherhood Synagogue in Woodbine. Interment to follow at the Woodbine Brotherhood cemetery. MAILLIE, FRANCIS "Frank", 65 - of Pleasantville, departed this life on Saturday, April 16, 2005, from Alzheimer's Disease at the Oceana Rehabilitation Center of Cape May Court House. Frank was born in Chester, PA and attended the local public school system and graduated from high school. He relocated to Atlantic City, Ventnor and finally Pleasantville. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Frank was predeceased by his soul mate and partner of 33 years, the late Robert Moy, who died of cancer three weeks prior to Frank on March 29, 2005. He is survived by his brother, Thomas (Dyker) Maillie; three nieces, Peggy Ann McNaulty, Kathleen and Joann, all of DE; one nephew, Thomas III; his best friend of 32 years, Joseph Brenner of Pleasantville. Private Graveside Services were held in the Atlantic County Veteran's cemetery in Estell Manor, at the request of his friend Joe Brenner. Memorial Contributions in Frank's name can be made to the South Jersey AIDS Foundation. Arrangements were by Mikal's Funeral Parlor, Inc., Atlantic City.
KROLICZAK, EVELYN A. (nee Johnson), 52 - of Cedar Run, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2005. She was a hairdresser with Minor-Miracle in West Creek. Then she was employed by Showboat Casino in Atlantic City for the past 13 years. She was a lifelong resident of Cedar Run. She was predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth, and her brother Donald. Survivors include one son, Kenneth J. Jr. of Cedar Run, daughter, Angel Kroliczak, two brothers, David Johnson & Billy Johnson, both of NV, four sisters, Nancy Tremel of FL, Bonnie Giberson of Manahawkin, Susan Holmes of Tuckerton & Debbie D'Mortensen of CO, also a cherished granddaughter Jessica, and her best friend & companion Pete Recigno of Little Egg Harbor, and many nieces & nephews. Friends and relatives are invited Thursday 8 p.m. to celebrate the life of Evelyn Kroliczak at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin. CIRAOLO, FRANCIS "Frank", 65 - of Buena Boro, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2005, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA.
He was born in Vineland and was a 1957 Vineland High School graduate. He went on to become a Master Plumber and worked with his father for several years. He was a US Army veteran, serving from 1963 to 1965. Frank was employed as an engineer for the New Jersey Veteran Memorial Home from 1973 until 2001. He was a member of the Minotola Fire Company and Minotola Rescue Squad for 43 years. He served as president for 28 years and Captain for 14 years in the Minotola Fire Company. He was a member of the Boro of Buena Fireman's Association for 43 years and a Trustee for 22 years. He was a life long member of the N.J. State Fireman's Association and a delegate. Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 270 since 1965 and the Dowatchuwana Gunning Club. He was a member of the Minotola Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making wine, farming and watching his purple martin's. He was a devoted husband, father and pop-pop.
He is survived by his wife, Esther (Zorzi) Ciraolo, of Buena Boro; daughter & son-in-law, Traci & Hansel Torriero, of Buena Vista Township, daughter & son-in-law, Francine & Jimmy Sabella, of Vineland, daughter & fianc‚e, Justine Ciraolo & Mark DeFalco, of Minotola, daughter & boyfriend, Jennifer Ciraolo of Landisville & Shawn Nelson of Hammonton; brother & sister-in-law, Charles "Chick" & Jill Ciraolo, of Vineland, brother & sister-in-law, Ronald & Duane Ciraolo, of Minotola, sister & brother-in-law, Peggy & Dominick Pace, of Minotola, sister, Elaine Trimnell, of Three Rivers, MI; grandchildren, Ryan, Laci, Amber, Frank Torriero & baby Sabella, and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

BOOTH, HAROLD RICHARD, 80 - of Somers Point, died April 29th 2005 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Pomona, July 24th 1924. Graduate of Egg Harbor City High School 1943. Former member of the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. And former member and trustee of the Somers Point United Methodist Church. Harold worked as a boat builder for Leeks Boat Works in Green Bank for two years. Retired after a 36 year career ay a master plumber with Northfield Plumbing. Was a civilian volunteer in the U.S. Army aircraft warning service. Harold also worked the Booth family farm on the White Horse Pike in Pomona his whole life until March of this year. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Booth; two sons, David (Claudia) Booth and James C. Booth; three grand children, Stephen, Amy and Cathrine; two sisters, Emma Bellinger and Elizabeth Booth; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held Wednesday 10 am at the Middelton Stroble and Zale Funereal Home, 304 Shore Road, Somers Point. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-9 at the funeral home. Burial Germania cemetery, Germania.
SANTORO, MARY, 97 - of Vineland, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at the Lincoln Specialty Care Center, after an extended illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mary lived in Vineland for 50 years and she also lived in Casselberry, FL.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, knitting and was an excellent cook and baker. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and St. Isidore's Church, both of Vineland.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Santoro in 1990 and her loving and caring daughter-in-law, Linda A. Santoro, who passed away six days ago.
Survived by one son, Paul Santoro of Vineland; one daughter, Rosetta (Santoro) Perrone of Plymouth Meeting, PA; four grandchildren, Joseph Santoro of Vineland, Kelly (Santoro) Baglio of NC, Carol Tucci and Susan Whitehouse both of PA; six great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; two sisters, Aida Canzani of New York, and Annette Margarucci of FL.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday morning from 9am to 10:45am at the church. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 1019 E Landis Ave., Vineland.
