EVANS, THEODORE E., 63 - at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School and was the first African-American high school quarterback in New Jersey. He also excelled in basketball, with a record that stood for 17 years, football and track and field. He received the Atlantic County Outstanding Athlete Award for 1958-59 and was inducted into the Pleasantville H.S. Hall of Fame in 2002.
Mr. Evans obtained his BS degree from Albright College in Reading, PA and his Master of Social Work from Hunter College in NYC in 1974. He spent his professional career working with adolescents and their families are Director of Clinical Services and Employee Assistance Counselor for Willingboro Township. He was President of Evans and Evans, Inc. where he continued his work with families in private practice. He was certified by the National Board of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a Behavioral and Domestic Violence therapist and by the National Board of the American Psychotherapy Association.
"Teddy No Toes" or TNT as he nicknamed himself LOVED the game of golf. He frequented driving ranges, Rancocas Golf Club and his own backyard as often as possible. He was never without a club in his hand. All of those who knew him appreciated his sense of humor, easy-going personality and love of life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judi, his daughters Leslie Lazarevic (Goren), Bonnie Evans, Coree Evans, his son Theodore W. Evans, his mother, Burnetta Johnson (nee Data) of Augusta GA, his brothers Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Evans of Columbus, GA and Mr. & Mrs. Robert Evans of Pleasantville, along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial Funeral Services will be held Friday 11am at the Goes-Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Levitt Pkwy, Willingboro, (609) 871-1000. Greg A. Scolieri, Manager. Relatives and friends may call Friday morning after 10am at the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the Evans family.

McCORKLE, HELEN M. (nee DONOVAN) - April 3, 2005. Wife of the late Thomas. Beloved mother of Patricia Nunlist and the late Thomas McCorkle. Grandmother of William, Thomas and Kathaleen. Also survived by seven great grandchildren. Sister of Marie Furey and James Donovan. Viewing Thursday morning after 9am in St. Richards Church, 19th and Pollock Sts. Funeral Mass at 10am. Int. WILSON, SANDRA A. - of Somers Point, died Sunday, April 3rd, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family. Sandy was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and was an area resident for 35 years. She was a member of St. Josephs Church and worked as a secretary at St. Bernadettes Church. Predeceased by her husband Deacon Jerry Wilson and her brother Thomas. Survived by three sons, Jerry (Eilleen) Wilson, Brian (Stephanie) Wilson, and Charles Wilson, two sisters, Kathleen and Karen, two grandchildren, Grace and Lacey. Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at St. Josephs Church, Shore Road, Somers Point. No viewing prior to mass. Burial private. Funeral under the direction of Middleton-Stroble & Zale Funeral, 304 Shore Road, Somers Point. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Community Cancer Center, 210 S. Shore Road, Marmora NJ 08223.

TURNER, ROSEMARY FARNSWORTH - of Ocean City, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at home in the company of her family.
Rosemary was born in Hot Springs, VA. She was predeceased by her loving husband Mark D. Turner who was a former manager of the Flanders Hotel in Ocean City.
Rosemary and Mark enjoyed dancing and playing golf. She worked as a receptionist at the Forum Motel until her retirement.
Rosemary donated her time to the Ocean City Historical Museum and could been seen regularly at the Ocean City Library. She loved to read. Rosemary will be missed by all those who knew her.
She leaves behind a brother, Fred Farnsworth of Lake Whales, FL, a son, Mark D. Turner, JR. of Petersburg, a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Lenhardt of Egg Harbor Township, granddaughters, Tara Schweibinz and Shannon Stirnweiss, grandsons, Mark Daniel Turner, III, and Matthew Turner. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call Wednesday afternoon from three until five o'clock at The Godfrey Funeral Home, 809 Central Avenue, Ocean City, NJ. Burial will be private in Union Chapel cemetery, Carloover, VA.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Union Chapel cemetery, or Ashwood Methodist Church both in Hot Springs, VA 24445.

FAJERMAN, ABRAHAM, 60 - of Landisville, Buena Boro, died suddenly April 17, 2005, while officiating at a wrestling tournament in Heightstown. He was born in Krakow, Poland and came to America in 1949. He was a 1962 graduate of Vineland High School and attended Temple University and Philadelphia College of Textile and Science. Abe spent many summers as a waiter at the Breaker's Hotel in Atlantic City and worked in the family bakery, Delsea Bakery in Vineland. He also sold restaurant equipment for Edward Don Company. He then entered the insurance field working for companies including Equitable and Prudential. Abe was an insurance agent trainer and a Division Manager. He was a member of the New Jersey State Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association and the NJ Wrestling Officials Association. He was also a national wrestling official for the United States Wrestling Official Association for Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling and a member of F I L A, Federation Internationale des Luttes Associees (International Federation for Associated Wrestling Styles) Abe was very involved with youth sports including midget football and wrestling. He enjoyed cooking, traveling and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by wife, Lenna (Miller) Fajerman, Landisville; daughter, Dawn Fajerman; sons and daughters-in-law, Martin and Kathy Fajerman, NC, Eric and Irene Fajerman; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Dorothy Fajerman, Freehold; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Daniel Hoffman, Vineland; five grandchildren; step-son and his wife, Duane and Laura Seltzer, CO. Predeceased by parents, Lejzer and Estera Fajerman and granddaughter, Jessica.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 4:00 PM from the Alliance cemetery, Gershel Avenue, Norma. Interment will follow in Alliance cemetery, Norma. Arrangements are under the supervision of the Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue. Vineland. STERNER, WILLIAM G., 98 - of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of Sarasota, FL, Pottsville and Ocean City, died on Friday afternoon at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. Born in Pottsville, PA, he was the son of the late Claude F. and Mary Williams Sterner. He was married to the late Rosalie L. Sterner, who died in 2002. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Jane N. Gibson Sterner, who died in 1977. Mr. Sterner was a member of Margate Community Church in Margate, and a former member of the United Church of Christ in Sarasota, Florida. Prior to retiring in 1960, he was the owner and operator of the former William G. Sterner and Son, Inc. in Abington, PA. Mr. Sterner was a 70 year member of the Saint Alban-Swain Lodge No. 529, Free and Accepted Masons in Philadelphia where he served as master in 1941. He was also a charter member of Sahib Temple in Sarasota and a member of Harrisburg (PA) Consistory. He enjoyed photography. Mr. Sterner was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a brother, Robert C. Sterner.
Survivors include a son; George W., married to Harriet K. Sterner, Elizabethtown, PA, a step-daughter; Elizabeth A., married to John York, Fairfax, VA, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a sister; Blanche E., married to Lawrence Atkinson, Selbyville, DE.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2005, at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA at 11:00 a.m. There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Interment will be private.

MOFFETT, SR., JOHN K. "Jack", 73 - died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Abington Memorial Hospital after a short hard fought battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, he has been a resident of Southampton, PA for 38 years. He was the son of the late Charles and Anna Kintz Moffett.
Mr. Moffett the president of Delaware Valley Crematory and a longtime employee of the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home in Southampton.
Jack was well loved and respected member of the community. He was a life member of the Upper Southampton Fire Company, which he served as Captain of the Fire Police for many years. He was a former part time Police Officer with Upper Southampton Township. He was an Army veteran.
Jack was an avid golfer, bowler and snowmobiler. He enjoyed spending time in the summer with his family and many friends at the Ocean View Resorts in Sea Isle City.
Jack was the devoted father of Karen B. Moffett of Philadelphia, John K. (Nancy Ryan) Moffett, Jr. of Quakertown, PA and Deborah (Mark) Carels of Warminster, PA. He is also survived by his sister Anna Mae Gratz of Woodbury; his brother Charles Moffett of Long Island, NY; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and his best friend and nephew, Gene and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Moffett and his sisters Rosemary Crumlish and Doris Short.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday evening from 7 to 9 and Friday from 10 to 11 AM at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Rd. & 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA. Services will be at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Rosenfeld Cancer Center, 1200 Old York Rd., Abington, PA 19001.

MAIESE, BERNICE (nee Miller) 87 - of Audubon, died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Care One in Evesham Township. Born in Schafferstown, PA she lived in Audubon for over 50 years. She was the Owner of Bernice's Beauty Nook in Audubon for ten years. Wife of the late Frank C. Surviving are her children: Joan (Robert) Lucchetti of Farmingdale, NY, Bonnie (Ray) Borbidge of Indian Head Beach, FL, Renee (Regis)Vitale of Hammonton, and Frank Maiese of Marlton. Loving grandmother of 11 and four great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 10:00am at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. 3rd St., Hammonton. Jehovah's Witnesses Services are Thursday 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Locust Wood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill.

FIOCCHI, ADELINE M. (Myers), 84 - of Vineland, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2005, at home.
Adeline was a volunteer for 15 years at Newcomb Hospital Gift Shop. Her favorite hobby was cooking for her family and friends. She loved dancing and was a member of the Dinshah Dance Group (Young at Heart). She loved the beach and the time that she could spend with her kids. And most of all she will be remembered by her family as someone you could always count on for guidance. She will be missed. Adeline co-owned Fiocchi Oil and Fiocchi Tire Center with her late husband Edo. The business still remains family owned and operated.
She is survived by son & his wife, Rick & Mary Jane Fiocchi, Vineland; daughter, Suzanne Pepper, Sea Isle City; daughter, Debra Fiocchi, Vineland; brother, Harry Myers, Vineland; grandson & wife, Robert & Jennifer Pepper Jr., Clermont, grandson & wife, Stephen & Trisha Pepper, Seaville, granddaughters, Kristian Pepper & Melissa Pepper, Sea Isle City, granddaughter & husband, Cindy & Dennis Dalponte, Richland, grandson, Richard Fiocchi, Jr. Vineland, great-grandchildren, Victoria Hope & Nicholas Anthony Pepper, Richard Fiocchi III & Samantha Fiocchi & Katie Dalponte. Predeceased by husband, Edo Fiocchi. Predeceased by great-grandson, Connor J. Pepper.
Visitation will be Thursday from 8:15 to 10:30 am at Rone Funeral Service.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:15 am from the Queen Of Angels Parish At Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola.
Interment will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery, Vineland.

PORTER, JEANNETTE "Garrette", 87 - of Linwood, ending her courageous battle with cancer, Jeannette Porter, known to her dance students as "Miss Garrette," passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 25, 2005, at home, with close friends by her side.
Jeannette was born on April 16, 1918, in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of Jean and Gwynne Garrette. Together, they traveled Canada and the United States performing their vaudeville act, "The Dumbbells." Jeannette began her professional dance career at the age of four and was dubbed "The Canadian Shirley Temple".
Jeannette's dance career took her to Cuba, Radio City Music Hall in NY, and finally, to Atlantic City, where she began teaching contestants of the Miss America Pageant. On stage, Jeannette entertained alongside the likes of Billie Holiday, Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, the Andrew Sisters, and many others. Jeannette owned and operated the Jeannette Garrette Dance Studio in Brigantine for many years before moving it to Linwood. More recently, she gave the studio, where she taught through her eighties, to a former student. It continues to operate today as the New Motion Dance Studio. She was thrilled to have recently celebrated her 87th birthday with dozens of her former students and dear friends in attendance.
When she was not entertaining on stage, or teaching dance, Jeannette loved entertaining at home. She was always a gracious hostess to friends and relations, and was famous for her studio parties. She loved books, music, art, gardening, and animals.
Jeannette will be missed by many, many dear friends, and by her former students, her "girls". She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Grant and Edith Garrette, of Manitoulin Island, Ontario; nieces, Lise Smulders and her husband, John, of Collingwood, Ontario, and Gwynne Jamieson, of Wrentham, MA. Great-nephews, Carson and Patrick Smulders, of Collingwood, Ontario, Graham and Geoffrey Garrette, of Edmonton, Alberta, John Jamieson, of Austin, TX, and great-niece, Eve Conlin, of Boothbay, ME. She is also survived by Godchildren, Luis and Karma Prieto, of Miami, FL, and three great-great nephews, of Boothbay, ME. Jeannette was predeceased by her husband, Fred Porter, and her nephew, Glen Garrette.
Arrangements are being made by Jeffries and Keates Funeral Home of Northfield. A private service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2005. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jeannette Garrette Dance Studies Fund, care of New Motion Dance Studio of Linwood, attention Karen Del Sordo.

TROUT, MAUDE E., 74 - of Millville, died on Sunday night after an extended illness at the Kennedy Health System of Cherry Hill. Born in Millville, she was a life long resident.
A graduate of Millville High School, she worked for the Millville National Bank as a bookkeeper for five years, and then worked as a clerk and salesperson at the Endicott Johnson Shoe Store in Millville for five years. She then was a homemaker and raised her family.
Mrs. Trout had formerly attended the Fourth United Methodist Church in Millville, and was a former member of the Old Timers Club in Millville. She loved to cook and entertain her family.
She is survived by her husband, Belford at home; two daughters, Diane and Sherry of Millville; one sister, Mary Nixon of Millville.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10am in the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home of Millville. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery also of Millville. Relatives and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 9am until 10am. Memorial contributions can be sent to: Hospicecare of South Jersey, 2848 S. Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ 08360 or the American Heart Association, 600 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106.
