STROTBECK, KIRK C., 44 - of Woodbine Development Center, Woodbine, passed away at Burdette Tomlin Hospital in Cape May Court House, on December 26, 2004.
He is survived by his mother Sallie P. Strotbeck of Egg Harbor Township and his father John M. (Jack) of Margate; two brothers, John M. Strotbeck III and wife Stephanie of Ambler, PA and Eric C. Strotbeck and wife Marybeth of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by three nephews and one niece.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Margate Community Church, Thurlow Avenue and the Parkway in Margate on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 11am. Interment will be private.

KURZ, JANICE W., (nee WADDELL) 77 - of Sea Isle City, formerly of Woodbury, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2004 with her family by her side.
Janice is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Charles H.; her daughter, Deborah Kurz Bertelsen of Pitman; her son, Karl W. Kurz and wife Margie of Mays Landing; and three grandchildren, Brianne Bertelsen, Nolan Bertelsen, and Megahan Kurz.
Janice graduated from Woodbury High School in 1945 and Arcadia (Beaver) College in 1949 with a Bachelor's in Psychology. She worked for Gloucester County Social Services for 25 years and retired in 1986. Jan was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, the theater, having lunch with "the girls", catching rays on a warm summer day, and her cat Sam.
Janice was kind and selfless always putting others' needs before her own. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She will truly be missed by everyone whose life she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 11:00 AM, St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 44th and Landis Ave, Sea Isle City, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. OLIVA, JODY KEVIN, 45 - of Newfield passed away after an extended illness at South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland on Sunday, December 26, 2004. He was born in Bridgeton and lived in Vineland all of his life. He is the son of the late Richard (Tiny) Oliva and Alma (Paterno) Oliva of Vineland. He was a graduate of Vineland High School.
He had been employed at Shop Rite and was a co-owner of The Crab Man and also the Oak Tree Mill Work Company in Vineland. Jody was a member and past president of the Vineland Recreation Club for many years. Jody enjoyed his children, fishing, hunting, and working on cars and cycles.
He is survived by mother, Alma, (Paterno) Oliva, Vineland; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Khris Butter, Millville; sons, Kevin, Newfield and Ryan Oliva, Marlton; brothers and sister-in-law, Bryan and Rhonda Oliva, Florida, and Toby Oliva, Vineland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelly and Stephen Schneider, Vineland, Maria and Wayne Panzino, Vineland, Karen and Dave Orlandini, Newfield; five nieces and two nephews. Predeceased by his father, Richard (Tiny) Oliva in 1991.

HERSE, LAWRENCE G., 57 - of Absecon, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Sunday, December 26, 2004. Born in Longport, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and returned to graduate as a registered pharmacist from Temple University. He owned and operated Asbury Pharmacy in Ocean City and went on to be pharmacist-in-charge of Eckerd Pharmacy in Absecon. Larry was a member of Praise Tabernacle Church in Egg Harbor Twp. He loved traveling with his wife and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife Maureen Wenz, daughter Amy Hagel, sons Dennis Hagel, Gage Herse and Christopher Herse; sisters Celeste Herse and Ann Maselli of Egg Harbor Twp; brothers George Herse (Diane) of Mays Landing, and Alex Herse of Galloway; mother and father-in-law Bill and Nora Wenz of Smithville; in-laws Kathy and Rich Rasner of Charlotte, NC, Eileen and Clayton Tucker of Absecon, Jim and Lisa Wenz of Orlando, FL, Bob and Lisa Wenz of Absecon, Bill and Danielle Wenz of Absecon, Tim Wenz of London, England and many nieces and nephews.
Larry will forever live in the hearts of all the friends and family who loved him.
Visiting hours will be offered Tuesday, December 28 from 7 to 9 pm at Lowenstein Funeral Home, 58 S. Route 9, Galloway with a service Wednesday, December 29 at 11 am also at Lowenstein Funeral Home. NIEVES, CARMEN M., 66 - of Egg Harbor Township, died Monday in the Health Care Center At Galloway, Galloway.
Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Andres and the late Monserate (Soto) Rivera.
She was employed by Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point as a housekeeper. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by a daughter, Rosa Nieves of Egg Harbor Township and two sons; Angel Nieves of Elizabeth and Luis Nieves of Harrisburg, PA, sisters, Blanca Rivera of Coral Springs, FL, Lydia Vasquez of Kissimmee, FL., her grandchildren, Cindy, Miguel, Vanessa, Emily, Crystal, Keith, Angelica and Jocelyn. She was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Rivera, Jose Luis Nieves in 1984; Miguel "KiKe" Nieves in 2003; and Luis A. Nieves in 1998.
Friends may call Tuesday, December 28, 2004 from 7 to 9 PM at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc., 1650 New Road, Northfield. Interment will be in Los Cipreses, Bayamon, Puerto Rico at a later date.

SCIOLIS, JEAN (Fuchs), 63 - of Vineland, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2004. A Chapel Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 2 p.m. from the Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery, Vineland.
WILKINSON, GLORIA A., 81 - of Ocean City, on Sunday, December 26, 2004 at her home.
Born in Chester, PA, she had lived in Gwynedd Valley, PA before moving to Ocean City 35 years ago.
Mrs. Wilkinson worked as a private duty nurse for 25 years before her retirement in 2002.
She loved gardening and collecting.
Surviving are two daughters, Kristin M. Wilkinson of Nashville, TN, Priscilla Wilkinson of Mexico; a son, Eric Wilkerson of Melbourne Beach, FL; a sister, Nina Girton of Chester, PA; four grandchildren, Kendra Wilkinson, Colin Wilkinson, Becky Paxton, and Andrew Paxton.
Her funeral service will be offered Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock from Holy Ghost Church, 3015 West Third Street, Chester, PA. Interment will follow in St. Thomas the Apostle cemetery, Chester Heights, PA.
SCHWEGEL, ELLEN, (SAUL) 60 - of Millville, died suddenly Friday evening at her residence.
She was born in Millville and was a lifelong Millville resident. She was a graduate of Millville High School, class of 1962.
Mrs. Schwegel was a bank teller. She had worked for Security Bank, Core States, First Union Bank, all of Millville, and presently she was working for Sun National Bank of Millville.
She was a member of the State Safety Deposit Box Association and she was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, where she was very active. She sang in the church choir and worked on the bingo committee. She enjoyed bowling in the Wednesday night Fun League at Loyle Lanes. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son John Lawrence Schwegel Jr. and his wife Tammy (Warzbok) of Franklinville; one daughter Laurie Joyce Miller and her husband Thomas of Vineland; one brother Walter Baker of Tuckerton; and three grandchildren; Nicole L. Schwegel and Ryan L. Schwegel, both of Franklinville, and Brandon P. Miller of Vineland. She was predeceased by her husband John Lawrence Schwegel Sr. in 1983, and her sister Joyce Taylor.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Hillcrest Ave. and West Main Street, Millville.
There will be a viewing Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Millville.

CIPOLLONI, SARAH 88 - of Somers Point, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2005 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Formerly of Philadelphia, she was a Somers Point resident for 15 years. She was a bookkeeping supervisor for United Postal Service retiring in 1976 after 15 years of service. During WWII she was a welder and riveter at the Philadelphia Naval Base.
Wife of the late Albert, she is survived by a son Thomas, daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Tim Cavacini, 3 grandchildren, John and Tim Cavacini, and Kimberly Park, and great grandchildren John, Gina, Bradley, Julie and Sarah, and two nieces Patricia and Phyllis. She is predeceased by a grandson, Thomas.
Friends and relatives are invited to call at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road, Linwood, Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, Somers Point. MANN, THOMAS J., JR. 51 - of Little Egg Harbor, died on January 1, 2005. Born in Philadelphia, he was raised in Willingboro and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1971. After graduation he proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was later employed as a Maintenance Supervisor with Amport Services in Pomona.
Tom was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and also enjoyed cooking and eating. He was happily married for 12 years to his beloved wife Diane and was the loving father of Thomas J., III, Melanie and Matthew. He will be sadly missed by his parents Thomas J., Sr. and Catherine Mann as well as his sisters Denise Hodges (Bill) and Trisha Mann and his brothers Dennis (Michelle), Rick, Chris, Terry, Ken and the late Jim.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration, Wednesday morning from 10-12 at Greentree Ministries Church, 125 School House Road, Egg Harbor Twp. FIELDS, JAMES H. (Monk), 68 - of Mt. Airy, PA, passed away December 26, 2004 in Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, PA after a lengthy illness. James was born August 9, 1936 in Atlantic City to the late Florence E. Fields and John W. Fields.
James was educated in the Atlantic City school system graduating in 1959, after serving honorably in the United States Air Force from the years 1954-1958.
An avid tennis player, James was the first minority tennis player accepted on the Atlantic City High School's Tennis Club. James had a love for billiards and won the Philadelphia Y.M.C.A's championship in the early 1960's. James worked for the Philadelphia Post Office, retiring after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, two step children and one step grandchild. His memory will be cherished by his two sisters, Lucy Butler, Lynne Howze and one brother, Wilbur Fields all of Atlantic City. In addition, he will be sorely missed by his two nieces, Billie Valentine and Mia Williams; nephews, Marshall Wood, Mark Williams, Bruce Williams, and Charles Brathwaite III.
Funeral services were held December 31, 2004 at St. Madeline Sophie Church in Philadelphia, PA. Arrangements were provided by the Marvil Funeral Home, Darby, PA.
CUMMINGS, MATTIE LEE - of Wichita, KS, formerly of Eatontown, died Monday, December 27, 2004. Mattie Lee Blocker was born February 24, 1928 to Celest and Estella in Egg Harbor City. She accepted the Lord Jesus as her Savior at an early age. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York, where she met, fell in love with, and married James Cummings, Sr. in 1947 in New York. From this union 11 children were born, of which eight are still living. While in New Jersey, she was a member of the National Council for Negro Women. She worked with elderly and would always give a Christmas Party for senior citizens in her complex in New Jersey and Wichita. She was a full-time mother and did domestic work until 1991. She lived in New York City for six years, Eatontown for 48 years, and in Wichita from 2002 until the Lord called her.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Margaret Hart, Viola Jane Cummings, James Cummings, Jr. & Renata Reeney, all of Wichita, Valerie Ramus of Denver, CO, Wayne Cummings of Tampa, FL, Gary Cummings of Neptune & Rochelle Jackson of Eatontown; six sisters, Estella Williams of Pleasantville, Florence (Alvin) Dixon of Egg Harbor City, Peggy (Marvin) Handy of Winslow, Doris of Fayetteville, Catherine Handy of Egg Harbor Township, Victoria (Frank) Phillips of Mays Landing; five brothers, Henry (Sandy) Blocker of Egg Harbor City, Charles (Maxine) Blocker, Newtonville, John (Bernice) Alex of Pomona, Lenorad (Rhoda) of Philadelphia & Gregory of Egg Harbor City; 26 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren; many relatives & friends around the world.
Viewing hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, followed by funeral at Faith Baptist Tabernacle, 1209 Bangs Ave., Asbury Park. Interment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
