PETUSKEY, CAPTAIN JOSEPH F., 79 - of Mays Landing, died peacefully at home on November 10, 2004.
He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. In 1948 Joe entered the New Jersey State Police where he served for 32 years, retiring as Troop A Commander. He went on to enjoy a second career in the casino industry where he was an executive for the Golden Nugget, Atlantic City, and the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas.
Joe was the Past Grand Knight of the Saint Vincent de Paul Knights of Columbus, Council #3451, former CYO Basketball Coach, and Saint Vincent de Paul Home and School Association President. He was active in the Mays Landing Athletic Association and was the Co-Founder of the Oakcrest High School Football Booster Club. Joe was also the Director of the Miss Mays Landing Pageant during the 1970's. In 1976 he was chosen Mays Landing Man of the Year.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Agnes (nee Boreyko); children Joe Jr. and wife Carol, Bill and wife Karen, Mary Ellen and husband Bill, Mike and wife Barb, daughter Beth; eight grandchildren; brothers John and Tom, and sister Mary Ann. He was pre-deceased by his brother Bill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 18, 2004, at the St. Vincent de Paul Church located on Rt. 50 and 2nd Street in Mays Landing at 11:30 a.m. Friends may call ninety minutes prior. COX, SR., RAYMOND K. "Uncle Butch", 62 - of Atlantic City, departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 10, while at his residence. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he attended and graduated from the Atlantic City public schools, and after graduation, he enlisted and served his country in the United States Army. He later relocated to Newark and after taking several college and computer courses, he became employed at Steven's Institute of Technology as well as Rutgers University in the Computer Information and Technology Departments. He moved back to Atlantic City in 1999, and was lastly employed as a Room Service Communications Operator at the Hilton Hotel-Casino. Predeceased by his late mother, Mary R. Cox, two sisters, Vivian and Marie, and also his son, Raymond, Jr., he is survived by: two daughters, Gina Murray and her husband Leon, and Sandra Cox, all of Atlantic City; three sons, Lloyd "Chucky" Cox and his wife, Diedre of Stafford, VA, Kevin W. Cox of Pleasantville, and Anthony R. Cox, Sr. and his wife, Angela of Atlantic City; one sister, Aleyse Thompson of Atlantic City; 15 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; a special friend, Paula; and a host of other loving relatives and fine friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17 at 11 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church, 110 N. Rev. I.S. Cole Plaza. PIO, HARRY J., JR., 67 - of Vineland, passed away on Saturday afternoon in the Regional Medical Center, Vineland where he had been hospitalized for the past day. Harry was born in Vineland and was a lifelong city resident. He was the son of the late Harry J. & Rose Gallia Pio, Jr. He was predeceased by a son Steven A. Pio in 1981 and a son in- law George Hopf, III.
Before retiring in 2001, Harry was employed as a Supervisor for the Wheaton Glass Co. in Millville where he was employed for 48 yrs. While working at Wheaton's he assisted his wife in the operation of Lois's Luncheonette which is still operated today by their daughter Kathy. Harry was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with his wife on various golfing trips. He was a former member of the Centerton Country Club. He served in the N.J. National Guard. He was a member of the Beer Brothers at Bally's Casino in A.C.
He is survived by his wife of 48 yrs.: Lois E. (Redden); one son & daughter in-law: Harry J. & wife Rebecca Pio, III, Vld.; three daughters: Kathy & husband Victor Rodriguez, Vld., Rose & husband Tom DeMore, Vld., Brenda Hopf, Somers Point, one sister: Rita DiLoretta, Marlton; eight Grandchildren & five Great grandchildren.
His funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10a.m. on Thursday in the St. Isidores RC Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd., Vineland, with burial to follow in the Sacred Heart cemetery, Vld. Relatives & friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00p.m. at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland. There will be no viewing on Thursday morning. GRUHLE, JOHN C. "JACK", 78 - of Harrisville, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at Parkersburg, WV.
Mr. Gruhle was born on October 24, 1926, in New York City, New York, to the late Herbert and Margaret Miles Gruhle. He was a retired restaurant manager with twenty years of service working for the Town of Smithville. He graduated from St. Josephs Military Academy of Smithville, and served his country with military service during World War II with the U.S. Army. He was a member of both the Oxford Grange at Oxford, WV, and Christ Our Hope Catholic Church of Harrisville, WV.
He is survived by two children, Thomas Gruhle, Atlantic City, and Margaret Gruhle, Kansas; stepchildren, George Pierce, Port Republic, Virgil Pierce, Egg Harbor, Joseph Pierce, Galloway, and Nancy Shriver, Tasley, VA; several grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Barbara Foster, Pennsboro, WV.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gruhle was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlotte L. Moye Gruhle; son, James M. Gruhle; and a brother, Alfred Gruhle.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Karachira at 11 a.m., on Saturday, November 20, 2004, from Christ Our Hope Catholic Church, Harrisville, WV, with burial in the West Virginia National cemetery at Pruntytown, WV, at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2004.

VELLI, JACQUELINE K., 73 - of Rio Grande, died on November 15, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Cape May, she was a lifelong area resident. Surviving are her husband, Raymond J., Sr.; children Raymond, Jr. of Rio Grande, Debra Douglass of Erma, Doneen Lillemon of Rio Grande, Harry of Wildwood Crest, Dino of N. DONATO, DORA G., 97 - of North Wildwood, on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at her home.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was formerly of Ocean City, before moving to North Wildwood 10 months ago.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Donato, Sr.
Surviving are a son, Frank Donato, Jr. and his wife Marilyn of North Wildwood, three grandchildren, Frank Donato, III of Ocean City, Michael Donato and Lisa Donato both of North Wildwood, a brother, Pasquale Giannini of Bristol, PA, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday morning at ten o'clock from St. Augustine's R.C. Church, 13th Street at Wesley Avenue, Ocean City where friends may call from nine o'clock until the time of Mass. Entombment will follow Mass in Calvary cemetery, Cherry Hill.

NICHOLS, DORIS E. "Dottie", 76 - of Mays Landing, passed away on November 13, 2004 at her home. She lived most of her life in Hammonton and has been a resident of Mays Landing for the past 20 years. In her younger years she was an operator with New Jersey Bell. She was a loving and compassionate Assistant Manager for the Vineland Developmental Center for many years until her retirement. Most recently she worked for M&S Produce in English Creek. She enjoyed crabbing, fishing, picking up favorites along the beaches of Cape May and Longport, going to the casinos, and loved animals. Her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by four children: Charles F. Colts III, Timothy Colts, Tammy Kisby, and Tina Groeber, all of Mays Landing; ten grandchildren: Heather, Mennie, Kimmy, Willie, Danny, Tommy, Richie, Robbie, Jenna, and Nicole; three great-grandchildren: Sammy, Jayden, and Walker; six siblings: Warren Losse, Ida Delisio, Erma Woodman, Florence Etherington, Lillian Cochran, Hazel Main; she is also survived by her dog, Minnie. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Losse.

CORR, MARY CARMEN "Kay", nee Manco, 81 - of Ocean City, formerly of Philadelphia, on November 13, 2004. Devoted mother of James Corr and his wife Gay of Doylestown, PA and Kevin Corr of Hatfield, PA. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth, Anna, Tyler and Alison. Dear sister of Ralph Manco of Philadelphia and Marian Abruzzese of Marlton. Also many loving nieces & nephews. After retirement from Harrington Robb Company in Burlington as an executive secretary, she moved to Ocean City, for the past 15 years. Kay was an active member of the Republican Party and a volunteer at Shore Memorial Hospital. RAMP, EDWARD, 83 - of Mullica Township, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2004 at his home. He was born in Mullica Township and raised on a farm from which he huckstered fruits and vegetables in Egg Harbor with a horse and wagon. He loved hunting, fishing, dogs and picnics, where the whole family gathered. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. After the war, he moved to Vermont, where he had a dairy farm. He and his stepson, Robert McMullan, milked 20 cows morning and evening. While in Vermont, he trained as a tool and die maker. In 1952, he moved his family back to Egg Harbor, where he farmed and worked as a machinist for over 50 years. He created his own business, Vineyard Tool and Machine, which he operated for 12 years. He enjoyed sharing stories of his life with the younger generations of the family. He is survived by his wife, Almeida (Lowe) Ramp; his stepson, Robert McMullan (Kathleen) of Portage, Michigan; six daughters, Ann Fox (William) of Mullica Township, Ellen Steffanelli (John) of Mays Landing, Judith Fischer of Levittown, PA, Susan Spero of Mullica Township, Linda Clark (Tom) of Parkertown and Nancy Guckin (Paul) of Burlington. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed. CINTRON, ALBERTA (PETERSON), 74 - of Vineland, died Saturday at home where she had been under the care of family & hospice. Mrs. Cintron was born in Malaga, and was a lifelong Vineland City resident. She was the daughter of the late Leroy & Ann Hyatt Peterson.
Mrs. Cintron was a homemaker and enjoyed going to the Flea Market.
She is survived by her husband of 47 yrs.: Luciano Cintron, Sr.; three sons: Luciano, Jr., Texas, Albert, Hawaii, Roderick, Bridgeton; three daughters: Barbara Taylor, North Jersey, Mary Anne Cintron, Cedarville, Sondra Hightower, Vineland; two brothers: Richard & Albert Peterson, Vineland; three sisters: Ruth Williams, Mary Cornish & Ophelia Peterson, all of Vineland; 14 grandchildren & six great grandchildren.

PINOTTI, ROSALIE (Corsiglia), 83 - of Moorestown, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2004, with her family by her side.
The daughter of James and Teressa (Braidi) Corsiglia, she was born in Vineland and lived there most of her life. Five years ago she moved to Moorestown to live with her daughter. She was a 1938 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. As a young girl she rode and showed horses. Her love for horses continued throughout her life as she bred, raised and raced horses with her family on Corsiglia's Horse Farm in Vineland. She was a secretary for the Buena Regional School District for 30 years, retiring in 1994. She also was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching her two grandsons play high school and college basketball.
She is survived by daughter & her husband: Jacquelyn & John Langel Moorestown; sister: Stella Galzerano Vineland; two grandsons: Matthew & Casey Langel, many nieces, nephews & cousins. Predeceased by her husband, James Pinotti, in 1978.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10am to 11a.m. at the church. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday at 11am from St. Padre Pio Parish At St. Mary's Church, 736 Union Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in St Mary's cemetery, Vineland.

OKONIEWSKI, JEROME E., 74 - of Millville, died Sunday morning at Lincoln Specialty Care in Vineland. He was born in W. Seneca, NY and attended public school in Buffalo, NY. A graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo and received his law degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC where he later served on their Board of Education. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War as a 1st Lt. and was assistant commander of the TAC Unit. After law school he was appointed as a Field Attorney for the NLRB. In 1960 he completed his clerkship with J. Bernard Rogovoy in Salem and later that year moved to Millville where he joined the law firm of Rogovoy & Porreca. He served as a municipal judge in Millville and Lawrence Twp. in Cumberland County and in Penns Grove, Pennsville, Mannington and Oldsman Twp. in Salem County. From 1967 to 1983 he maintained a summer home in Ocean City. He was very active in the Jaycee organization having served as president for Salem and Millville Jaycees, legal council for the New Jersey State Jaycees and as National Director for the US Jaycees and received the Distinguished Service Award from Millville Jaycees and was elected as a JCI Senator. As a member of St. Mary Magdalen Church he was a former Trustee, was involved in fund raising and programs and was a member of the Finance Council for many years. Active in civic affairs he was a past President of Greater Millville Chamber of Commerce, former treasurer of the Millville United Way, former past President of the Kiwanis Club and YMCA and also served on the Board of Directors at the Millville National Bank. He was the recipient of the Silver Life Membership from the Millville PBA Local #213.
He is survived by two nephews, Richard Okoniewski of Biloxi, MS, Robert Okoniewski of Buffalo, NY; four nieces, Michelle Ambsler of Ocean City, Maria Eifler of Lawrence, KS, Margaret Braymiller of Boston, NY and Melanie Okoniewski of Buffalo, NY.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Magdalen Church. A viewing will be held at the Barbetti Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St. on Thursday morning form 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. The burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Millville. LESZCZYNSKI, BEVERLY ANNE (nee MATTHEWS), 50 - of Port Richmond, PA, died on November 13, 2004 at North Eastern Hospital. Born in Cape May Court House, she was an area resident until moving one year ago. Mrs. Leszczynski was employed with the Township of Lower for over 14 years.
Preceded in death by her father Curtis, she is survived by her husband, John of PA; her mother, Jean; sons, Shawn and John; brothers, Gary and Brian; and two grandchildren, Erik and Skyler.
