MAGEE, EUGENIA "JEANNIE" (NEE MATHIS) - of Somers Point, went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2004.
Born in New Gretna on Aug. 12, 1911 she was the daughter of Eugene and Estella Mathis. After graduating from Tuckerton High in 1929 she became a member of the Chelsea Baptist Church in Atlantic City for the next 75 years, where she taught Sunday School. She was also a Deaconess and was in charge of the kitchen at the church for over fifty years, and played on the basketball team. Upon graduating in 1929 she became a medical assistant. In 1938, she married Bill Magee Sr. Later she worked as a waitress in Kent's Restaurant and Lou's Sandwich Shop, then operated a hotdog stand on the Million Dollar Pier for twenty years.
We all remember the special home cooked meals, special birthday cakes and pies, and the many other things she did so willingly for so many. Her home was always open to all those in need. Jeannie loved her Philadelphia Phillies. She was also quite an athlete in her day and worked so hard all of her life.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, John William Magee Sr., and her son, John William Magee Jr., her sisters: Pauline Hopkins, Della Peer, Julia DeCristofaro and her brother, John E. Mathis, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Magee and her fianc‚, William Lebright, her nephews, John E. Mathis III (Linda), Eugene Mathis, her nieces: Barbara Payne, Phyllis Carmona, and Beverly Robinson (Roy), and mother to James Brower (Sandra), and many grandnieces & grandnephews.
She will be sadly missed by all of us who love her. Everyone knew of her great dedication and devotion to our Lord & Savior.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc., 1650 New Road, Northfield, N.J. Funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona. Donations to Chelsea Baptist Church, 2908 Atlantic Ave., Atlantic City, N.J. 08401 or to the charity of one's choice in Jeannie's memory.

MARTIN, ROSE C., (nee Cippon), 92 - a resident of The Health Center at Galloway, passed away on November 6, 2004.
Beloved wife of the late Leo Martin, Sr.; loving mother of Leo Martin, Jr. and his wife, Margaret; dear grandmother of two; great-grandmother of two and great-great grandmother of two. Also survived by one brother and one sister.
Relatives and friends are invited to Rose's Life Celebration, Thursday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Keates-Plum Funeral Home, 3112 Brigantine Ave., Brigantine and to participate in her Funeral Mass 10 a.m. at Church of St. Thomas, Brigantine. Interment Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing.

SCHIRMER, IRENE, 73 - of Mullica Township, passed away on Saturday. November 6, 2004 at her home. She was born in Germany and resided in this area for 30 years. Mrs. Schirmer was predeceased by her loving husband, Paul F. Schirmer (November 29, 1999) and her sister, Maria FIscher (1999). She is survived by her son, Alexander Thomas Wallace of Burlington, two grandchildren, her loving nieces, Veronica Kapische, Jeannette Vetrano and Frances Laskowski and her sister, Veronika Niepal of Germany. A viewing will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609) 965-0357, where her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Egg Harbor City cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 701 State Highway Route 50, Mays Landing, New Jersey 08330.

DABNEY, JR., OTHA WINFIELD, 76 - of Atlantic City, worshiped with his family and peacefully accepted God's will to call him home on Saturday, November 6, 2004, at Shore Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He enjoyed family and life to the fullest. He served in the U. S. Army and worked in the construction business for many years. He was predeceased by his parents, Maude and Otha Dabney, Sr.
Surviving are his devoted brother, Sidney A. Dabney Sr., and sister-in-law, Marie Dabney of Elwood, Clifton Dabney of Anaheim, California, Katherine Dabney of Baltimore, MD., nieces, nephews, friends and other extended family members.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 626 N. Shore Rd, Absecon, so others may live and a cure may be found.
Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Home, Atlantic City.

FRAME, NORA IDA, 89 - of Atlantic City, died on November 5, 2004, in Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point.
Born in Pleasantville, Mrs. Frame had been a lifelong resident of Atlantic City where she was a homemaker.
Survivors include: her daughter and grandson, with whom she lived, Mary Frame and Larry Mack, Jr.; her sister, Bea Watford; seven children, Catherine, Nora, Arlene, Doris, Shirley, William and Herbert; five additional grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held 10 a.m. -11 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2004, in the Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Blvd., Atlantic City. Burial in Atlantic County Veterans cemetery, Estell Manor.

MORGAN, MARION THOMAS, 95 - of Mays Landing, passed away on November 7, 2004. Born and raised in Franklin, NC, he was the youngest of nine brothers. In his younger years he worked for Ford Motor Co. of Detroit, MI and afterward was a Regional Manager for White Castle Hamburger Co. Tom then moved to Newark where he worked for the Stanley Tool Corp. for over 30 years, and also served as the Union President until his retirement in 1970. After his retirement he moved to Mays Landing and worked part time for the Absecon Post Office. He was an active member of his church while living in North Jersey and also at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Mays Landing. Well liked and respected in the community of Mays Landing, he did volunteer work for Maryknoll Missionaries of Ossining, NY and was a charter life member of the Pomona Golf Club.
Preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Clare Rita Morgan, he is survived by one son Joseph W. of Las Vegas; two grandsons Joseph W. Morgan, Jr. and his wife Betty of Elwood and John T. Morgan and his wife Deborah of Egg Harbor City; and five great-grandchildren: Anthony, Lita, Gina, Derek, and Timothy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 11 a.m., at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Rt. 50 & 2nd St., Mays Landing, where a viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church, 114 Rt. 50, Mays Landing, NJ 08330.

SMITH, SARADA WONG, 47 - departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 5, 2004 at the South Jersey Hospital, in Vineland. Born in Atlantic City she attend PAFA Training Center, in Vineland and was lastly living at the Morias Group Home in Bridgeton. Sarada visited numerous local churches and was very fond of gospel music as well as computers. She was pre-deceased by her parents. Esteban Benitez and Rebecca Fitzgerald-Smith; three sisters, Sharon Young, Carmen Fitzgerald and Mary Jane Spence, three brothers, Edward, Ronald and Steven Smith; and is survived by: a sister, Romona Smith; two brothers, Kashmir Ali-Bey (Richard Smith) and his wife, Rosemarie, all of Pleasantville and Michael Smith and his wife Cheryl, of Pine Hill; a devoted niece (who was also among her care-takers), Kim Young; a sister-in-law, Ernestine Peak-Smith, of Pleasantville; a special brother-in-law, Melfree El, another brother in law, Sterling Spence; two special cousins, Dorothy Miller and Carol Ransome, of AC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other living relatives and many fine friends. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 11 a.m. at House of God Church, 711 Arctic Ave, Atlantic City. Viewing 9-1. Burial at Atlantic City cemetery, Pleasantville. BRIDGEMAN, THOMAS JOSEPH, 65 - of Somers Point, died Sunday at home.
Born in Limerick, Ireland. Thomas was employed by Shore Memorial Hospital for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Linwood, where he participated every Thursday with the Perpetual Adoration. He loved to cook, travel and his country line dancing.
He is predeceased by his wife, Mary Veronica. He is survived by children: Thomas Bridgeman and his fianc‚, Jennifer of EHT, Niall Bridgeman of Reston, VA and Deirdre and Kieran of Somers Point, his brother, Jim Bridgeman and his sister, Breda both of Limerick, Ireland, and his two beloved dogs, Max and Dexter.
Friends may call Thursday, November 11, 2004 from 7pm to 9pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, Inc, 1650 New Road, Northfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, 724 Maple Ave, Linwood. Interment will be Friday in Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201.

JUNIKIEWICZ, MARY ELIZABETH, 88 - of Downington, PA, formerly of Atlantic City, died Saturday, November 6, 2004 at St. Marthas Manor. Born in Boston, MA, she lived over 55 years in Atlantic City. Mrs. Junikiewicz was a member of the Franciscan Third Order, and was active in Holy Spirit, St. Nicholas of Tolentine RC Church's and the H.G. Rosincenter. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew and her son Andrew. Survived by her son James and wife Shari of Valley Forge, PA, her daughter Patricia Kerr of Feasterville, PA and daughter-in-law Kathleen. Also survived by her grandchildren, Robert, Timothy, Rebecca, Ryan, Paige, Kimberly, Andrew, and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday evening November 9, 2004 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the H.M. Gormley Funeral Home, 44 N. Albany Ave., Atlantic City. Funeral Mass will be said Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Nicholas Tolentine RC Church, S. Tennessee Ave and Pacific Ave., Atlantic City. Visitation at church to begin 9:30. Burial to follow Mass in Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing.

ELSEY, ELMER G. "BUDDY", 81 - of Delmont, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Born in Nanticoke, MD to the late Robert Wesley and Margaret Elizabeth Elsey, he moved to Delmont a year ago after living in Cape May Court House for 12 years. He worked at the Woodbine Developmental Center. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and the Middle Township Senior Center. He enjoyed woodworking.
Mr. Elsey is survived by his wife, Dolores; his children, Don Ray, Prentice, Ardella Holland, Michael, David, Colleen, and Cristina; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, East Atlantic Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. Olive cemetery, Swainton. Memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.

BRIGHT, RUTH E., 99 - of North Wildwood, passed away Monday at the North Cape Center in Lower Township. Born in Philadelphia, she has been a lifelong resident of the Wildwoods.
She graduated from Wildwood High School in 1922, and Glassboro Teacher's College in 1924, continuing her university level education while teaching to obtain a Bachelors of Science in education during the next decade. She taught in the North Wildwood School System for 49 years, retiring in 1973.
In 2003, she took up residence at the Loyalton, in Cape May Court House, where she remained active, and walked around the property daily until recently, when, after falling and breaking a hip, she was recuperating at the North Cape Center.
She was a member of: NEA - National Education Association; NJREA - New Jersey Regional Education Association; CMCREA - Cape May County Regional Education Association.
She was a life member of St. Simeon's Episcopal Church in North Wildwood. She taught Sunday School and Vocational Bible School for many years, as well as serving on the Flower Committee and the Altar Guild most of her life. She was a member of ECW (Episcopal Church Women) for 76 years until her death.
She is survived by two nephews, John B. Carr of Cape May, and Charles E. Carr of North Wildwood and Delran.
A memorial service will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at St. Simeon's Episcopal Church, 26th and Central Avenues, North Wildwood, where friends may call from 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
Donations may be made in her memory to St. Simeon's Episcopal Church. Arrangements are by the Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home of North Wildwood.

DOLEZAR, DORIS (nee Barton), 82 - of Barnegat, died October 30, 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pheasant Run Residents Association. Survivors include her husband Louis; sister, Marjorie Andersen; niece Marjorie Warner; and nephew, Bruce Andersen. Cremation was private. Interment of her cremains will take place Saturday, November 13 at St. Mary's RC cemetery, Manahawkin at 11:30 a.m. Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin is in charge of arrangements.

WALLACE, WAYNE KENNETH, 66 - of Atlantic City, departed this life on Monday, November 8, 2004, in the Atlantic City Medical Center, Mainland Division, Galloway Township, after a brief illness. He was born in Atlantic City and raised in Hampton, VA. There he completed his formal education and enlisted in the United States Navy.
After completing his tour of duty, he returned to Atlantic City where he joined the Gentlemen of Sports Civic Club and worked as a Bell Captain at the Marlborough-Blenheim Hotel until its closing; and most recently retiring from the AC Board of Education with 25 years of service. In his leisure time, he liked to cook and read.
Wayne is preceded in death by his wife Rita; brothers, Richard and Morris; and parents, Lemuel, Sr., and Georgia Wallace.
He is survived by: his daughter, Pennie M. Wallace of Atlantic City, with whom he resided during his illness; brother, Lemuel Wallace and his wife Peggy; sisters, Shelia Allen and husband James, Maryland Sapp and husband Cornell, all of Hampton, VA; and brother John Wallace and wife Marlene of Hollywood, SC; and a host of family and friends.
Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2004, in the Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City.
